Cynthia was still in Trillium lost in her journey for the guild hall of Tartaros and while she knew the name of the city she was looking for the in-human part insect girl wasn't really able to ask anybody for help as they kept avoiding her for some reason and while it was understandable the rather cute ebil women didn't exactly find that acceptable and as such she was a little bit frustrated with her shoulders hunched and body clenched up, which on her body made her seem far cuter than she actually wanted to come off but that was besides the point. Cynthia continued to walk down the streets of Trillium her attention getting taken off of the matter about finding directions to Tartaros guild hall due to the shiny lights and bright colours of the city, which was actually due to how this city was basically nothing more than a giant collection of casino. |

All of the shiny things here were useful as far as Emily was concerned. They allowed her to remain distracted from the fact that she was soul-crushingly bored and there was little that would help to alleviate it. Even the thought of gambling and playing the games of chance that proliferated in Trillium didn’t really give her enough of a thrill. She was in need of something much, much better. Within a few minutes of having this thought, the redhead had something occur that would definitely solve her boredom issues. As she turned a corner, her eyes fell on one of the strangest beings she’d ever encountered. Clearly a member of some race she’d never heard of, the girl was seemingly half insect, half human and frankly, all intriguing. There was no way that Emily was going to pass up the opportunity to find out what she was all about. Moving up to walk alongside her, she made one of her usual (slightly odd) introductions. “I couldn’t help but notice that you looked lost. I am kinda lost too. Maybe we can wander around being lost? I..uh...that is, you sure have a fascinating look.” |

While Cynthia had been wondering aimlessly around the streets of Trillium amazed by the bright lights and pretty colours, the half insect girl hadn't noticed a human female walking up to her but when this female human spoke up Cynthia noticed them and turned around to face them. What Cynthia did next however was a fairly weird thing as she leaned forward and sniffed this female before looking up at them and smiling widely which was probably a rather strange thing for a human being to do but you had to realise that Cynthia wasn't a normal human being and as such she didn't behave like a normal human being would, also I'd like to point out that scent was one of the ways members of her race differentiated between family groups but anyway, enough explaining stuff about her race and what not. Anyway, as this human girl had asked a question Cynthia was more than obliged to answer it with her own cute sounding voice and generally energy, which was part of her adorable and rather cute persona that she had developed as a person over the years but anyway, question answering time. "Sure! It'd be nice to have somebody to boss around!" shaking from side to side in a spinning like fashion except she didn't do a full 360 degree spin but anyway... as Cynthia know had a friend to follow her around, the insect girl grabbed Emily's hand softly (or at the very least attempted to) and dragged her through the streets giggling happily like a little girl would. |

The whole ‘sniffing’ process was more than a little unsettling but Emily realized that she was dealing with someone who was evidently not quite human. She’d heard that there were some truly strange races out there but now she was seeing it first hand. This girl was really quite interesting, certainly more interesting than she was used to. It made her want to know exactly where an acquaintance with her was going to lead. Before she could think further, she was being grabbed and tugged along. Part of her wanted to draw Blood’s Tear and stab this new person but she resisted. It didn’t seem as if harm was intended. Also a stabbing would have ruined all of her fun and deprived her of an interesting companion. As they charged through the streets, several questions occurred to the crimson-haired girl. The first was what the name of this green, insectoid being was and exactly where she was going to be taking Emily. It took her a few moments to get her breath and her voice. “I guess since you’re going to be dragging me around the city, I should know what to call you! My name’s Emily. Also - where are we headed? Not, you understand, that I care that much but I always have a sense of curiosity.” Edited by MoonlitRain012, Feb 13 2014, 03:18 AM.

Like Cynthia had expected that whole sniffing episode and the grabbing of Emily's arm followed by tugging her through the streets of Trillium probably would have made Emily rather cautious, but if that was the case then she didn't do anything about it and instead came along willingly. As Cynthia had a partner in crime to tug along she wasn't really sure where the pair would actually be heading and as a result of that the half insect girl paused during her journey to ponder it and also to answer Emily's questions. "Well! I want to go find a sweet store! and my names Cynthia" the insect giggled happily and bounced a few times as she again starting walking puling Emily along with her, and eventually the pair of them seemed to arrive at what was some kind of store and from the outside it seemed to be lined with numerous kinds of coloured sweets and other sugary delights and yes, being part insect was the main reason for Cynthia's love of sugar. Pulling Emily behind her the bug girl marched into the store and son began looking around all of the products gathered letting out numerous "Ohhhs" and "Aaaahhhhhs" at all of the colours of the sweets here which was only part of the appeal of a sweet, after all Cynthia would probably buy at least one of EVERY kind of sweet here and probably eat them all over the course of the day but she had a friend with her didn't she? So as a result of that Cynthia returned her attention to Emily bouncing happily with a smile over her lips. "Haiu!!! Do you like sweets Emily? I do I do I do!" Cynthia seemed kind of really excited about being in the store, and while she made have seemed all cute and innocent here, don't think she's totally harmless as that stinger on her tail is rather deadly. |

This was the first time someone else had actually taken her to get candy and it was definitely a novel experience. Normally she was the one sprinting through the streets, dragging people with her. That’s why offering resistance seemed silly to her. It was new and new, in her world, was always good. The more experiences she could have, the better. The faster she accumulated those experiences, the less time she had to suffer extreme degrees of boredom. As they were rampaging through the candy store, the redheaded killer wondered why it was that she never got bored of repeating this experience. Somehow there was enough variety in what she was doing to make it interesting. Maybe it was the colour, maybe it was the sugar rush or maybe it was just the fact that everything was so different from town to town and city to city. Before she could continue her thought, Cynthia interrupted her and she replied. “Of course! Sweets are seriously the best thing ever. I never get tired of them! Do you...that is….is there something special about sugar for a person of your...erm...type? Odd question, I know.” |

Cynthia was having the time of her life running through the candy store picking out what she wanted from among the collection of brightly coloured sweets and oh yes, for anybody that was wondering, Cynthia's race and the relation they had to insects did indeed cause sugar to have a profound effect on her which was precisely the question Cynthia's friend had just asked. "Yes yes yes! They are they are! And uh huh! Sugar does make me a little hyper" smiling up at her friend Cynthia's tail swayed side to side in excitement and she took Emily by the hand softly pulling her towards the counter hoping that she had picked out the sweets that she wanted as Cynthia was going to drag her somewhere else now. After having the price for her sweets worked out Cynthia paid for them then dragged her friend out of the store. Hopefully, Emily had picked out some sweets for herself as Cynthia had no intention of sharing her own and while that may have been a bit of selfish thing on her part, she had at least given Emily the chance to buy some herself. Anyway, the insect girl had now dragged Emily to what I guess you'd call some sort of park, except it was more on the outskirts of the city as Trillium didn't exactly have much in terms of flowers and the like. Anyway, now on the outskirts of the city Cynthia gave Emily a big hug and pulled her down to the ground so that the both of them where sitting next to each other the bug girl now began to gobble down her sweets. |

Once again the distinct desire to stab Cynthia came to Emily but again she resisted. She knew that such violence would just attract unwanted attention and she was still fascinated by this insectoid being. She’d met other ‘races’ of people but never someone who was humanoid yet so thoroughly inhuman. She allowed herself to be tugged down onto the grass as she began rummaging through her bag of candy. Eventually she came up with a candy cane and began to savour it. The taste of peppermint was wonderful dancing on her tongue. Now she glanced over at Cynthia as she also ate her candy. Her eyes were constantly drawn to the large tail that the girl sported and it raised a question. Given that tact wasn’t ever going to be her strong point, she blurted something out without thinking. “Are you even from Fiore? I mean are you even from...you know...this world? I’ve never seen anyone like you at all.” |

As Cynthia was rapidly eating her way through the candied contents of her little paper bag she noticed that Emily was staring at her tail which wasn't really a problem, after all a girl with the physical traits of Cynthia was bound to draw eye. Anyway, when Emily asked her question the answer to it was no, Cynthia and her race where from an alternate dimension of sorts and the reason why Cynthia and her parents had moved to Fiore was... well, let us just say things back at home became a little too dangerous for them to stay there and so Cynthia and her family came to Fiore. "Nope! I moved here with my family when I was really young! We are from an alternate dimension" Now, there was also another reason why Cynthia had been moved to Fiore but she had never been told that reason. Continuing on from the last paragraph that other reason was because Cynthia was a queen, or at least she was the genetic descendant of one and while her ancestor had been kicked out (hence why Cynthia and her family didn't live in the lap of luxury) her parents knew and they also knew people where after Cynthia hence why they moved to Fiore; it was a necessary thing to protect her from those that would otherwise do her harm. Anyway, having answered Emily's question Cynthia went back to devouring the candy she had bought and yes, she was slowly starting to get a lot more hyper as a result. |

What Cynthia had said didn’t make a great deal of sense to Emily. Even though it was clear that the sugar content of what they’d been eating was starting to affect the insect girl, the redhead was determined to learn what this dimension thing was all about. She thought she might have some idea but her unquenchable desire to know everything wasn’t going to be satisfied by mere guesswork. As Cynthia ate, Emily leaned in with the eager thirst for knowledge burning in her brain. “So, what does this ‘alternate dimension’ thing mean? It seems like something I might have read in a book but you might be able to explain it better.” Her emerald eyes fell calmly on her companion, trying to read what was in her face. It was difficult with her slightly alien features but she’d do her best. If there was any kind of advantage to be gained from what she might learn here today, she’d be sure to parlay it into something that would advance her in the world. |
