As Green informed Hikari about the details of the mission she soon responded with taking the two down one way first before getting the single shop and back to the guild. Green smirked and nodded before looking at the pamphlet for the address. He soon leading Hikari down the street and to the first shop that they'd hit up for the protection money, whilst the job in itself was rather lame it was still a good way to keep pressence of the Guild alive and with Trillium as it were now it was a very good thing to have. The two would walk down the street as they usually did, Green holding Hikari's hand gently as he lead her to the first shop. According to the pamphlet it was a shop for cleaning laundry and other clothing cleaning services. Why anyone would bother robbing that place was strange to Green but he suspected something else may be going on with this laundry place. After a few twists and turns of moving about Trillium and surprisingly getting to the furthest shop away from the Guild they had arrived at the laundry place. "Here's shop one," Green said to Hikari quickly before letting go of her hand slowly and entering the shop, keeping the door open for Hikari before he'd close it behind her. After Hikari had entered, Green would head to the counter. The shop itself was small with some washing machines against a wall and some seating in the middle, towards the back was a counter and some other services. The man behind the counter was an old man, small as well and he looked up at Green as he approached with a smile. Green didn't waste much time getting straight to the point as he wanted this done. "We're from Raven Tail, and I believe your shop owes us some money?" Green said in a soft voice, there were only two other people in the laundry place waiting for their washing to be done. |

Hand in hand, the two began their walk to the first destination. One of three shops they had to collect money from. Hikari yawned softly, trying to hide it the best she could. She was a bit tired, yes, but working in the guild always wore her out. It was nice to get out of the guild with Green for once. Of course, this wasn't her ideal setting for the two, but they were partners, so missions together were legit too. The two soon arrived at the first shop. A simple laundry shop. from the looks of it. Now this was odd. Why would a shop like this owe Raven Tail money? Protection? Why? It was odd how something so small as a laundry business would owe the guild money, but Hikari just shrugged and followed Green inside where they were greeted by a little old man. He looked ancient. Did this man really owe them money? She looked at Green with a skeptical look on her face when he told the old man that he owed them some money. She almost didn't believe it. Maybe Green was mistaken? Of course, the skepticism was wiped away when the old man responded, smiling as he did so. "Aaah, yes. Though I'm surprised they sent a couple of whippersnappers to collect it. But I must apologize as I only have half right now. My business is small, after all. It's hard to get such a sum of money in such a short time. Can you accept half now, then half later? I swear I'll pay. I just need time." Hikari listened to the old man speak, her attention turning to Green. He was better at this than she was, so she would just leave that decision to him. The old man seemed so kind, but Hikari didn't want to make a wrong choice in this. Looks can be deceiving, after all. So she just waited to see what Green would do. |

Green had spoken to the man and he watched as the old man had looked from him to Hikari, Green following the man's eyes saw that Hikari seemed a bit confused or perhaps skeptical was a better word. The old man soon spoke, Green returning his attention to him, as he spoke. He seemed friendly and so this wouldn't pose too much of a problem, surely. The old man apologized as he only had half the money. Green sighed a little but nodded, it was understandable for a business like this in a city like Trillium where crime was high and Raven Tail made things harder on people. Green didn't have anything against his guild, he quite enjoyed it but taking risks was what he did best. "Very well, we'll take half. If you have a briefcase place the money in there and we'll be on our way. If anyone asks who took the money, you never saw us, understand?" Green then replied to the old man, accepting the offer but on the condition that the old man doesn't tell Raven Tail about those two. The old man looked at Green a little confused but his eyes soon widened as realisation hit him and he nodded, soon hurrying into the back. After a few minutes he returned with a simple brown briefcase, Green opened it and checked and sure enough there was the money, but only half. Closing it and locking the briefcase, Green gave a nod to the old man and soon walked to the door and opened it before turning to Hikari. "Let's go, 'Kari." He said to her as he held the door open for her. Once Hikari had exited, Green would follow close behind and lead her away from the shop. "Mmm, well that's one shop down even if it was only half the money. The next closest one is back the way, it's some sort of restraunt if I remember correctly." |

Hikari was a bit surprised at Green's response to the old man, and it seemed the old man was as well. He looked at Green with a rather surprised expression bfore nodding eagerly at his orders. "Yes, yes, of course! Thank you so much! You're so kind, young man!" The old man then shuffled as fast as an old man could to the back. He opened the safe kept under the desk in the back, removing a small briefcase filled with a rather large amount of Jewels. He clicked the brief case open and counted the contents, making sure every cent was there. Once certain, he closed the briefcase and hurried back out front to deliver the money to the duo whom still stood and waited. After receiving the money, Green now counted it, confirming it was at least half of what they were owed. With this done, Green turned and opened the door, ordering Hikari to leave with him. Hikari would simply nod and exit, giving a soft smile to the old man before leaving. Once she was outside, Green followed behind her before taking the lead, speaking about the next shop. Seemed it was a restaurant this time. Hikari would simply nod once more before smiling to the other. "Lead the way." She didn't mind Green leading this one. After all, it was his mission and he knew where they were going. She was along for the ride this time around. Besides, another D class job wasn't so bad. It was a nice break from the hectic pull of the C class jobs she had done. Not to mention a nice procrastination from the B class jobs she was authorized to take now. A little break never hurt, so for now, she'd just tag along with Green for funsies. |

Green walked alongside Hikari as they made their way to the next place, a restraunt owned by a particularly nasty guy some might say. Rumours said that he had been in the Knights of Fiore before being involved in some illegal dealings and getting kicked out, other rumours state that he killed a bunch of Knights. What ever the reason, the guy they were about to get money from was going to be tougher than that old man and Green had his doubts if he'd be able to pull it off. The man in question had ties with Raven Tail, one given the fact that they were about to get protection money from him but Green had heard his name mentioned a few times within the Guild. There was more to him than first let on. Green was so lost in thought that he almost walked straight into a lamp post, he stopped dead in front of before any collision happened and looked at Hikari and with an embaressed look he gave her a silly grin. He moved to the side and away from the lamp post and continued walked he soon speaking up, "The guy were about to get money from ... Could be a bit of problem." Green began, "He's got a sort of reputation, I've heard his name mentioned a few times and there's rumours about him. A tough guy, but not dumb. Perhaps an ex-Knight, a killer, maybe." He continued as he soon spotted the restraunt in question and the two would soon arrive outside of it. The restraunt was perhaps fancy, too fancy for this part of the town. Considering Trillium had gone to shit after the Queen Dragon and crime rose, the place took on a more dangerous feel to it and look. This restraunt however was like how Trillium used to be and it was spotless, no dirt or trace of being vandalized. "The guy's name is Connor Kruger, at least that's what people call him. I'd like to wager that, that's not his real name." Green then said as he looked at Hikari with a stern look, "It will probably be best if you take the lead on this, he has ties with Raven Tail but how deep I don't know. Chances are he's heard more of you than he has of me." He then finished and as it were Green would act as the bodyguard in this, Hikari would do the business and hopefully there'd be no issues. Hopefully. |

Hikari followed Green towards their next stop. She would listen closely as he gave details on their next target. Seems the guy was no spring chicken. A lowlife criminal, or ex-knight. Either way, if intimidation was the way to go, the Green had the right idea. Hikari wasn't all fluff and pretty looks. She may be human, for the most part, but she's also a demon. And until that demon blood is under control, it has moments where her true nature flairs up. And when it does, it even scares most Raven Tail members. So this was her moment to shine. She would simply grin at Green before nodding, confirming that she understood his orders. Looks like this became her job, just as much as it was Green's now. The two would soon arrive at the restaurant in question. It was a rather nice looking place. No dirt. No vandalism. Pristine and perfect, for being run by a brute like Conner. Hikari looked around a bit before approaching the cashier's counter. She eyed the man at the register for a brief moment before giving a rather toothy smile. Those sharpened teeth unnerved the man at the register, the obvious change in the man's scent alerting Hikari to his fear. She would soon speak. "Hello there, Sir. I need to speak to the owner of this establishment. Would you kindly fetch him for me?" She spoke in the sweetest of tones, yet the man still trembled. He would simply nod and squeak out a "sure" before darting off to the back. Hikari's ears swiveled forward, catching shared words in the back room. What would sound like muffled mumbles to Green, would be clear as day to the half demon. "S-Sir, the demon girl from Raven Tail is here...and she's asking for you..." "What? You idiot, she's here for the money, I'm sure.." "B-But sir..we don't have it.." "She doesn't know that! Stall her!" "B-But.." "NOW!" After the exchange of words, she glanced back at Green with a frown. "Seems they don't have the money... I sense trouble... What should we do?" Just as she finished speaking, the man had returned, looking feeble as hell. Visibly trembling, sweat lining his brow. Hikari frowned as she eyed him. "I-I'm sorry... Seems the boss had gone out for a while. We don't know when he'll be back..Can you come back another time?" Hikari wasn't going to play nice now. Her eyes flickered red, lips curling into a visible snarl, teeth bared. "You're lying...." The man yelped and darted into the back room again. Chicken shit. She turned to Green once more, waiting for his orders on what to do. |

Green watched as Hikari now took the lead on this, Green following behind at a steady pace acting as a bodyguard to Hikari. Stopping at the counter, Hikari spoke and Green eyed the place and counter before he watched the man behind the counter walk off and it was easy to tell he was afraid of something. Though it seemed Hikari soon picked up on something with her ears as she glanced at him, frowning as she spoke. He nodded gently before the man came back and told the most pathetic lie anyone could ever tell someone, this guy wasn't even trying! Hikari knew it, obviously, and called him out on it before he ran back. What happened next was ... Unexpected in the least. Greatly unexpected. As Green was about to speak he soon found that he had no voice. His surroundings began to melt away as if they were a painting getting streaked. Soon he was alone, surrounded by darkness. He turned around, unable to see or hear anything, as he frantically tried to call and look for Hikari, but to no avail. That's when he heard the laughter, that very same laughter that had been with him since he was a child. "Mephisto..." Green snarled, in his mind at least as he knew what was going on. The Demons were back and they had trapped him but this time he had no escape, it was likely he was never going to see Hikari again. Or live for that matter. "It's good to see you, Mr.Deveraux." [Closed. Mission Failed.] |
