Lucian made a pretty convincing excuse, so much that the man lowered his guard enough to allow him to step up to him. The inspector looked to be contemplating what to do next but Lucian saw this as an opportunity to make his move. From his palm a flash of light, nothing else followed by a barrage of small gemstones blasted out of his palm and into the crotch of The Inspector. This was Lucian's magic, some form of gem creation that didn't look very powerful but at the range he was to The inspector it would cause him some serious pain. Lucian wasn't done yet as he would, in the same fluent action draw his weapon and stab The Inspector in his crotch, this one he reacted to at once bawling out and bowing in pain. At Lucian's call Vayne relayed the message to begin to Katherina as he drew his weapon as well and pounced, the Inspector's head was down still reacting to the pain and Vayne would exploit this running the blade through the center of his neck clean through and pulling it back out at once. Katherina was free of her bindings in an instant Vayne gave her the signal, the scientist's needle only a few centimetres away from piercing into her flesh and dosing her with a substance that would knock her out. In a flash of darkness, Katherina previous outfit was gone replaced by her Dark Guardian Arsenal the change happening in a split second. The needle reached her in that same moment but would be blocked by her armour. The scientist would scamper back confused drawing a small knife on Katherina but shaking in fear. The sword that came with this arsenal was as long as her body so she was able to put the point of the blade at the man's throat while still moving up from the bed. We're good down here Vayne, You? She would ask as she indicated to the scientist to drop his weapon, which he did. Upstairs The Inspector was lying motionlessly on the ground if not dead, then not to far from it. It's over Kat we got him. he would reply to her then exhale a deep sigh of relief. "Good Job back there Lucian it's over." He would say to Lucian as it was his quick thinking and ensured their success here today. He had earned Vayne's trust and friendship. They would reunite with Katherina downstairs still holding the man at blade point. "He told me everything Vayne." Katherina would say as they came down the steps. "This hotel image is a font. There a brothel supplier, supplying women but these days willing woman have become scarce so there sucommed to kidnapping, these in here are drugged but i made him give them something to wake them up." Katherina would explain and it would all make sense as far as kidnapping went. The operation was larger than just The Inspector and the scientist but only they knew about the illegal kidnapping of women. "We should kill him to for what they did here." Vayne would say. "No don't kill me this is this is the first and the last time I'll ever do something like this, just spare me." The man would beg for his life. They would decide to let him go with an extremely stern and painful warning. The girls would awake not soon after dazed and confused but Vayne, Katherina and Lucian were there to explain the situation to them and return them home as they awoke which would take the rest of their night. The sun was rising when they escorted the last of the women home and the only thing on Vayne's mind at the moment was getting home to his crappy bed and having the best sleep of his life, Katherina shared similar feelings as the experience had taken a toll on her as well but she wouldn't express it. This is where they would say their goodbyes, hopefully they would meet again somewhere under better circumstances. They would head there on ways from here Vayne and Katherina to there home and Lucian to wherever his journey was taking him next. There was the matter of Vayne's clothes and weapons hidden in that alley but he would tend to that latter all he wanted to do now was sleep. |
