The intensive tugging feeling in his gut literally pulled him of his bed in an instant. He fell hard to the ground but quickly rushed to his feet. The tugging came again this time more intense than before, it felt as if there were a rope around his heart and someone was pulling at it with all their strength. The third time he fell to his knees. He panicked this resorting to what he always did when he was in trouble, call to the one person who always had his back. "Katherina help me something's wrong." He said quite loudly his voice etched in pain but there was no reply. He looked over to the bed parallel from his where he had last seen Katherina before going to bed to find it empty. It was at that moment that he remembered what this was, the tugging in his chest and frantically he rushes to his feet, pulling on his jeans and shoes followed by his t-shirt which was both inside out and back-to-front. Finally he grabbed his sword where it laid leaning to the foot of his bed and burst through the front door of the small room he called home, down a flight of stair and through a small hall where he after exited the small property which he stayed. It was a small broken down motel, not much but all he could afford and it was much preferred over sleeping in the streets.. It was late, he could tell by the sky and the position of the moon, around midnight maybe, the streets were empty all the casinos had closed for the night, everyone should be in there beds resting but instead, some of them had decided to kidnap Katherina for reasons unknown to Vayne at the moment. He could tell by the tugging, it happened every time they got too far away from each other and as he felt it again he could tell in which direction she was being forced. Ignoring the feeling of his heart being ripped out he ran in direction he had felt her last. "Katherina where are you, Katerina answer me I'm coming."He thought to her, this was a connection the two had developed, the ability to hear each other thoughts and in situations such as these it was incredibly useful. "Alexus I can hear you, but i don't know where I am, I tried to fight them off but there were too much of them, I lead them away from the to protect you Alexus, I'm sorry." Hearing her voice was the reassurance he needed at that moment. He had ran about two blocks and turned in on an alleyway to see a group of mean dragging an almost unconscious Katherina into the back of a horse drawn carriage. There were six of them in all; three standing guard, two of them putting Katherina into the carriage and the last one who was most likely the driver tending to the horses. They were all armed and dressed in ragged clothing with sheathed swords. They were dirty with messy hair, tattered dirty clothing and there skin looked as if parts of it were splashed with dark dye. "HEY IDIOTS!" He shouted at the top of his voice catching all of them off guard. They turned to him surprised, instantly drawing their weapons. He was outnumbered but he didn't care there was no way in hell he was letting them get away with Katherina. Edited by axlknight, Jan 11 2014, 02:26 AM.

"Yare yare daze. . . So this is Trillium, eh? It's a bit. . . dark here. Oh well. This was the next stop, no point in complaining. . ." One Lucian L. Regal found himself in the city of Trillium today, and while so far all he could say about the place was that it was setting off his survivalist instincts like an alarm clock, it would be his place of rest for the night. Still, that feeling in the air. . . Lucian shivered a bit. The city looked all nice, sure, and it probably was for the most part. However. . . There was a, for the lack of a better word, "oily" feeling about the place. It was like. . . a film of oil over a river of otherwise clean looking water. It was a bit frighting, now that Lucian thought of it, but a calming breath dispelled his doubts. Whatever it is, I'll just have to deal with it. No way am I going out on the roads near a place like this at night. Mentally scowling, but physically shrugging a bit, Lucian placed a hand behind his head and sighed, rubbing it thoughtfully. Here he was, wanting to get out of his regular mission clothing and changing it out for his casual clothes. He really needed to wash the thing. However, the city he was now in looked like it would call for his impromptu armor to take another beating or some such. Hopefully the thugs around here didn't have well made knives. . . Lucian strode forwards, his sword strapped to his back jingling a bit as he walked. He needed to fix that still. At the very least I can afford somewhere decent now. Jobs have been profitable recently, thank Kami for that. Now, I wonder where I. . . Lucian's thoughts drifted off as he realized he had wandered into some kind of alleyway or some such. Great. He had been so absorbed in his own thoughts that he was very nearly lost in the first five minutes of getting to this city! When he specifically recalled sensing a bad feeling about the place! Baka baka baka baka! Well, there was a silver lining to it all, in the end. He could see the exit a bit of a ways away, and he could probably avoid whatever thugs or gangsters were around due to his black coat. He could fix up his sword's sheath so it wouldn't jingle anymore, which he promptly did with a strip of fabric. Mentally sighing, Lucian began to quietly walk towards his exit. He did well for the first fifteen minutes or so, managing to avoid being the target of some brave feeling mobster or some other nasty the city harbored. That was a good thing in Lucian's books, and he planned to keep it that way. Well, he had planned to keep it that way. See, a peculiar thing happened. He heard something. Not just something, but somethings. People things. They sounded like they were moving quickly and perhaps dragging someone. Lucian's survivalist training allowed him to guesstimate the group at about six people, and something else. It was that something else that compelled Lucian to trail them. Normally he would just let it go if it were a normal situation. However, this was obviously a mob town. Groups of people and something being dragged off could very well be a hostage or something like that. If that was the case. . . Lucian's eyes hardened as a cool demeanor took over his stance. Well now, if that was the case, it was up to him to do something about that, wasn't it? As silently as he could possibly be, Lucian followed the maybe-kidnappers/gangsters/unpleasant people to wherever they were going. It didn't take all that long in all honesty. Lucian silently unsheathed his sword as he took in the situation. Six guys, horse drawn carriage, unconscious girl being loaded into the back. Yep. He had to do something. Pawing around for a good sized stone, Lucian was about to distract at least one of them and then pick them off with a well placed sword-to-the-gut. However, fate was kind to him for once. It seemed like someone else was trailing these people. . . "HEY IDIOTS!" And they were very loud. Seriously, he got the attention of all six guys at once. Due to a stroke of luck, Lucian was to the left of the group, and most of their guys were at the right, due to the way the alleyway was constructed. Apparently they weren't the best at strategic defense. The only guy that was on Lucian's side was probably the driver. As their attention was diverted, Lucian took his chance. He quietly ran up, whipped his sword hand out, and attempted to smack the guy in the head with the pommel of his sword, in the right temple to be precise. If it worked, he'd probably drop like a rock. If he didn't, Lucian would just clobber him with the large stone he still had in his other hand. Moving on, Lucian would slash at the horse's reigns, attempting to disconnect them from the carriage. If that worked, he'd prod the horses in their sides, herding them in a probably blind panic towards the side of them with his sword. Right into the three other guards. Regardless of if that worked or not, Lucian whipped around and let loose the stone he held in his hand into the head of one of the guards loading the girl into the back of the carriage. After he let it loose, he called out to said guard, "Fastball special, coming right up!" This would probably cause the guy to turn around and face Lucian. . . Right as the stone was about to connect with his head. The results would not be pretty. As he let the stone go, Lucian rushed at the guy as well, capitalizing on the stone he threw. Whether or not it hit him, and since it was so close accuracy wasn't much of a problem, Lucian would have a window of opportunity. He used that to close the distance to melee range and stab at his right arm, kicking him as well whether it was successful or not. His partner, probably having heard all of that by now and looking to see what happened, would see Lucian giving him his best death glare, sword pointed right at his face. It was the kind of glare that conveyed the thought of "You have five seconds to run before I gut you like a swine.", the kind of look that people generally were afraid of. Lucian was not amused at the moment, and took a step forwards to convey the feeling. He'd run the guy through if he needed to. However, that wasn't the purpose he was aiming at. Lucian shot his hand down, grabbed the girl, and then high-tailed it back the way he came if he was successful. 'Ell, if they tried to stab at her or something, he'd move in the way to deflect their attack. He was the one wearing armor, after all. If he was successful in his escapades, he'd escape towards where he was headed before, and into an inn. Edited by Lucian Regal, Jan 11 2014, 04:06 AM.

I totally forgot . . .

Vayne was ready to take them all on even if the odds were against him, all logic out the window he drew his sword grabbing on to its hilt tightly with both hands. The tugging he had been feeling before had stopped now that he was close to Katherina. The kidnappers didn't seem afraid of him, in fact there first reaction after their initial surprise was to snicker at Vayne's appearance in annoying unison. Vayne had become so accustomed to Katherina being the only one assisting him period that he was dumbstruck for a brief moment at the appearance of a strange individual whom he had never seen before smack the kidnapper who was tending to the horses in his right temple with the pommel of his sword, who was instantly knocked unconscious and fell to the ground. The stranger then proceed to free the horses, that were bound to the carriages by their reigns, using his sword. The violent release of the horses, surely provoked by the the stranger was smart but two of the guards were quick enough to move out of the way the third was knocked to the ground then trampled beneath the beast's mighty power. Vayne decided to make his move then as the two thugs were recovering from the horse's barrage, the two thugs now had about a three meter gap between them and were getting off the ground providing more than enough time to put them both to sleep. He wasn't that far away and with a quick pounce he was on the first one before he was off the ground quickly jabbing his sword into his grounded enemy. The second one managed to get to his feet and was about to draw his blade but Alexus was on him closing the gap between then and dragging his blade vertically from the targets lower left waist to his upper right shoulder. In the time it took Vayne to do this the stranger had taken out one of the men who were loading Katherine onto the carriage and was taking off with her. Alexus took off behind them upon realising this, the last remaining thug was now chasing after them as well but not far ahead of Alexus who took the opportunity to cut him horizontally across halfway mark of his back, his best target for attack as the thugs back was turned, Alexus stepping over his body as it dropped. Vayne sheathed his sword then now that the danger was gone and stopped, first catching his breath from his brief exertion of energy. "You can stop now stranger there all to unconscious to chase you."He said in an attempt to stop the person that was now in possession of Katherina. He could already feel the tugging ready to return if he had gotten any further but he wasn't worried as he could also feel whatever drug they used on Katherina to suppress her wearing off and if he didn't let her go she would break free. "Vayne Aurelius and my companion Katherina, thank you for your help back there."Vayne would proceed to say introducing himself and properly thanking the stranger for his help. Vayne would be relieved that this traumatic saga was behind them now but Katherina would proceed to inform him otherwise. "I wasn't the only one Vayne, I could hear those kidnappers talking, there were others kidnapped tonight just like me drugged and taken out of there homes, the only difference between me and them being they didn't have you two there to save them we have to help them Alexus." Alexus didn't like the idea but if Katherina was sure about this they would do it together just like everything they did together. "You were just drugged and kidnapped Kat I think you should take a rest and talk about this in the morning." Vayne couldn't help but try as he carried for Katherina like a little sister although she was technically much older than them. "These people may not live to see tomorrow Vayne were doing this end of discussion." She was calm throughout out her statement but they were linked and Vayne could feel how much this meant to her. Times like these reminded Vayne and their relationship was much more than a master, slave one. "Okay Kat were doing this then, you in?He asked the stranger who by now had hopefully introduced himself. |

"You can stop now stranger there all to unconscious to chase you." Ahh, good. Looked like whoever it was, he didn't get a good look at them before, was able to kill off or route the remaining thugs. Slowing down a bit and glancing behind him, Lucian got a look at his tentative accomplice. He was an individual with white hair, and as far as Lucian could tell, was built rather well. Not like a bodybuilder or anything, but still fairly well muscled. He also took the time to actually glance at the lady in his arms and decided he should stop doing that a split second afterwords. He had no idea what relationship the young man had with her, and it wouldn't be good for first impressions, ey? He lowered her gently to the ground, where she probably could get herself up, after whatever the kidnappers apparently used wore off. A quick smile adorned his face before shifting back into a calm, cool, collected mask, even as his thoughts raced. Now now then, what would kidnappers want with this young lady and sir? He had no idea at the moment, but something sinister seemed to be afoot. Which, of course, meant that he would have to put off getting some much needed rest. Wunderbar. . . Here he was, hoping for one normal day. That had gotten shot straight to hell apparently. Well, at least this should be interesting. . . Maybe even entertaining. Maybe. Something tells me it's all just going to be a pain in the arse later. Lucian's thoughts were disturbed by the introduction of his newest unlikely accomplice. "Vayne Aurelius and my companion Katherina, thank you for your help back there." "Mmm. Lucian L. Regal, wanderer of the open roads. At your service." A brief nod of the head and a look into the other young man's eyes. Unless he had some fairly good skill in looking through masks, he probably wouldn't see anything Lucian didn't want him to see reflected in his eyes and stance. However, there were more pressing things at hand, apparently. Or so the girl said. "I wasn't the only one Vayne, I could hear those kidnappers talking, there were others kidnapped tonight just like me drugged and taken out of there homes, the only difference between me and them being they didn't have you two there to save them we have to help them Alexus." And then a little argument broke out. . . "You were just drugged and kidnapped Kat I think you should take a rest and talk about this in the morning." "These people may not live to see tomorrow Vayne were doing this end of discussion." Well. Apparently these two felt comfortable enough around him to lower their guards to such a degree. To be fair though, saving someone's life was sort've a big thing. Maybe that attributed to it. Maybe. Lucian sighed a bit as he saw the path of the conversation reach its logical conclusion. Of course, before the end of it, Lucian was already headed back to where the fight was. They were going to need answers, and he had left at least one of them alive. . . Granted, he still probably wasn't conscious. "Oy, either of you two good at interrogation and or waking someone up? Intimidation and threatening would be helpful as well." Lucian called back casually, his sword embedded by the right side of the man's head, buried in the dirt a few inches away. Edited by Lucian Regal, Jan 11 2014, 06:37 AM.

"Mmm. Lucian L. Regal, wanderer of the open roads. At your service." The stranger turned acquaintance introduced himself to them with a brief nod followed by him looking Vayne right in the eye, strangely enough Vayne found this appropriate behaviour upon first meeting someone, that first impression you make based on what you see. Judging from his facial expressions since they meet, Vayne would guess that he was a very calm and calculated person. Don't forget pure, look at how pale his skin is and no scarring.Katherine shared her thoughts on him as well. He looked rather well kept as well for someone who called himself wanderer of open roads, clearly he cared about the way people perceived him. He was dressed in black which in the streets of Trillium meant you were looking for trouble but although he was not exactly built he wasn't scrawny either and judging by the previous display of his strenght quite capable of handling himself. That was all they could tell from physical appearance alone, the rest would be up to their communication throughout what would apparently be a very long night. After a brief argument it was decided that they would get to the bottom of whatever was going on and with Lucian's help apparently. But where to start. Lucian was already acting on the matter of where to begin as he called back to them from over one of the unconscious men. "Oy, either of you two good at interrogation and or waking someone up? Intimidation and threatening would be helpful as well. His statement followed by his sword engraving the dirt not far from the thugs head. As they moved over to him, I think we can trust him Vayne, he did help you save me after all."Katherina thought to Vayne upon realising that one of his hands were still on the hilt of his sheathed sword. Habit He replied back to her using there mind link and Vayne's hand finally dropped to his side. Vayne hadn't thought of it but Lucian had and seeing that it was all he they had to go on interogatting seemed like the best course of action. "I don't know about you Lucian but i wouldn't call interrogation my strong suit." He said upon reaching him which was true. Vayne considered himself more of a comical artist, unable to keep a straight face unlike Katherina. "Kateriana on the other hand has some experience in the matter, but I can wake him up." Vayne had a pretty detailed understanding of Airway, Breathing, and Circulation so after ensuring the man was still breathing and his heart was beating he delivered a quick and accurate palm strike at the man's stomach which resulted in his upper body shooting upwards grasping wildly for air. The thug was unarmed and surrounded so it was safe to let him catch his breath and regain his bearings as what came next had the potential to get extremely painful. Katherina drew her sword and knelt down in front of the thug who was now sitting upwards on the ground partially recovered from his recent revival. Katherina proceeded by putting her blade, which was identical to the one Vayne carried, right up to the thugs throat, the cold sharp steel against the neck and the stern look on Katherina's face alone would have been enough to scare Vayne shitless."Listen to me and listen to me carefully I was taken from my bed, drugged and dragged halfway across this damn city in the middle of the goddamn city, if you think my night's been hell your's is about to get a lot worse if you dont tell me what's going on here." They was a moment of silence as the two stared into each others eyes which ended when the thug smirked then spat in Katherina's face, Vayne closed his eyes knowing what would come next as he could hear her think it before she did it. Maybe it was because he was stupid, or had a will of iron, or that Katherina looked like a sixteen year old girl that provoked such action but either way she didn't care. She pulled her sword away from the thug's neck and sent clean through his upper left leg, then quickly removed it and sent it into his upper right leg through and through. The thug bawled out in pain grabbing at his leg, aggony written all over his face. Vayne would re-open his eyes to see Katherina wipe her face before continuing her interrogation. "Talk now idiot or the next one goes between your legs."She would say always keeping eye contact and retaining her stern composure. "Okay, Okay there are these brothers, they own a casino not to far from here Montreal's Palace they hired us to do this thats all I know." He belted out in one rushed sentenced which Katherina responded to to by slamming the hilt of her blade into his temple putting his back to sleep. "She isn't always like that Lucian, its just that when she has to get something done she gets it done. It's times like these when shes doing her own thing lke this that I forget that she's bound to me as a servant." He would say to Lucian in case he was now second guessing if he could trust them or not. "We know where we're going now, Any of you know where the Montreal's Palace is?." She would sheet her sword then ask more to Lucian than Vayne. Although Vayne and Katherina did reside in Trillum they hadn't gone casino hunting in there time here. Would they have to look for the casino or would Lucian be able to lead the way. |

"I don't know about you Lucian but i wouldn't call interrogation my strong suit." Lucian nodded internally, while outside his mind he simply inclined his head a bit. Not many people were cut out for the demands of interrogation. It was a tough job, and either you were really good and liked it, or you were really good at it and loathed it. There were people in between those, of course, but that was irrelevant to the current situation. What was relevant was that Lucian was of the second type. Typically, he was a good guy, and though he could feign a really good mask of calm and collectedness, it wasn't something he liked doing. "Kateriana on the other hand has some experience in the matter, but I can wake him up." Ahh, well. At least that worked out. Lucian bowed out of the way, letting Vayne do his thing. He walked up and quickly punched the guy, which woke him up fairly fast. Well that was helpful. Since there were three armed guys standing around him, it didn't hurt to let him catch his breath and the like. Unless he was a mage or something, but that didn't seem likely from what he had seen. So he was allowed a little bit of breathing room. Not that it would help him much. Especially for what was to come. . . Katherine drew her sword, held it to the man's neck, who was now sitting upwards. Her face held a fairly stern look, though Lucian could claim to have seen sterner, and began a line of questioning on the victim. Naturally, he was an arsehole, and thus he spat on her face. That was a very, very stupid thing of him to do. While such defiance would probably be better suited for some actual organization or some secret thing or some such, the thug didn't seem to get his situation. Yet. However, the importance of the situation was soon impressed upon him. In the form of a sword to the leg. Lucian winced internally a bit as he realized how close to that the sword was, and offered a small apology to the man. Small. Very small. He still tried to kidnap the girl, after all. Still, he knew what it was like to be hit. . . there. The feeling passed though. She kept her eye contact with the man as she interrogated him further, and he finally cracked. However, there was till a problem. . . I have no fraking clue where that is. Ah well. A problem it was, and a problem he would solve. Somehow. Lucian was a bit distracted trying to think about where the place was, or where to get information as to where it was to really hear Vayne's question. His left hand was crooked under his right, while his right hand was holding his chin in a contemplative manner. A few ideas were circling around in his mind until he finally decided to just go with one. If he was right, they'd be able to get on with the second part of the impromptu mission. "Give me one second. . ." With that, Lucian rummaged around in the unconcious man's pockets, searching for a map, directions, or even orders on how to get to the place. He was the driver, after all. If anyone had something like that, he probably would. If he wasn't able to find some, he'd wipe the blood off of his hands on the man's clothes and stand back up. He would head over to the carridge, now horseless, and begin to search the compartments and the like there as well. If that didn't work, he'd have to go and search the other guys as well. "Check around for any kind of map or anything you can find. We'll need all the help we can get here." |

Well Lucian was just as lost as they were when it came to where Montreal's palace was and he could tell Katherina was getting frustrated, not through their mind like he usually would but through a more obvious sign, her slamming her fist in to the side of the carriage to be exact. He could think of a few things to say to calm her down but she had just been kidnapped so he left her to vent. Vayne tried recalling a Montreal's Place, maybe he had passed by it sometime and it's location was embedded somewhere in his subconscious, but came up blank. Time was wasting and they were getting no where. Vayne was interrupted from his memory scan by Lucian who seemed to have thought of something. "Give me one second. . ." He would say getting the attention of both Vayne and Katherina then proceed by rummaging through the unconscious driver's pocket and Vayne instantly caught up on his plan quickly relaying it to Katherina."Why didn't you think of that Vayne." Katherina would say to Vayne, punching him in the arm playfully. His search of the driver would come up empty but his exploration of the carriage would prove more helpful as here he would discover something that caught Vayne's attention. To someone unfamiliar with Trillium the small card Lucian discovered wouldn't mean anything much, but to Vayne who had seen every inch of the city, it would be enough to jumpstart his memory. It was a business card of sorts, on it 'Montreal's Palace' written in a confusing, yet familiar script that Vayne could recall passing by a few times but he never knew what it read until now, until given this context to work with. Katherina had the same spark of remembrance as the image fell into place. "We know where it is." Kathrina would say, the confidence in her voice didn't leave much room for doubt. "Well done Lucian, so you're not completely useless then I take." Vayne would say playfully meaning no offense. Vayne took the lead as they departed from the alleyway, Katherina at his side wiping the blood off her sword and Lucian hopefully following behind. Glancing back Vayne wondered for a brief moment what would become of the unconscious men but that thought was very brief indeed. They were on the streets now moving at a casual pace, being careful not to attract the attention of crooks who had nothing better to do with their night than dwell in the creases of Trillium awaiting unsuspecting prey. Trillium was slightly more acceptable at night, seeing the streets void of hustlers and black market merchants was something to see and the quiet he appreciated even more. "So Lucian what brings you to our delightful city of Trillium? You don't like the usual shadys that pass through here and certainly this isn't what you planned to spend your time here doing." Vayne would ask, the second part of his dialogue referring to there current situation. Trillium attracted a vast majority of people, Vayne took Lucian for either one of those looking to find out about The Dragon Queen or someone who was under the impression that the city was still the way it was before the Dragon Queen's appearance. They would arrive at their destination not long after, glancing to the text on the card a final time then to the unlit neon sign that hung to the front of the building just to be sure they were in the right place. However for or an establishment referred to as a palace it didn't look very palace like. A little less that you would expect from a Trillium Casino, smaller than the other you would come across but basically a common establishment. "Locked, Damn it!" Katherina would say as tried the door. Obviously they were closed just like everywhere else in Trillium that preferred to not be robbed. Appearances were deceiving however and Vayne quickly noticed that there was activity inside. He could tell by the sound of movement inside along with a strong source of light seeping under, through the space beneath the main entrance door that Katherina had checked. "Well were in the right place." He said indicating to them the activity inside."Now how do we get in?"Vayne had several ideas on the matter. " We could just burst through the front door together." Vayne suggested to them as he began pressing hard against the door to test it's durability. "Or we could go split up and do in quietly." Katherina said pointing to several windows on the top floor of the establishment. "Any scenario where my life isn't doesn't end up being threaten for a second time would be prefered." Vayne would say leaving the decision to Lucian, seeing that he has been instrumental in there success thus far. |

"Why didn't you think of that Vayne." Well, it looked like they were on to what he had in mind. Honestly, it was part of Lucian's survivalist training that helped him here, as he usually had to scavenge and the like to survive. Scavenging important stuff off a person wasn't all that different, really. Anyway, he didn't really seem to have any luck with the driver. Shrugging, and wiping off his and his sword on the man, he stood up and moved over to the carriage, to begin searching that. Fortunately, this was a bit more fruitful, though he had no idea what a card would help with. Lucian promptly passed off the card to Vayne, since he seemed to know what it was. Or at least an idea of what it was. "We know where it is." "Well done Lucian, so you're not completely useless then I take." A slight smirk formed on Lucian's lips as he called back, "Oy, if I can do all of this on a half empty tank of sleep, I think I deserve a little more than not "completely" useless." The other two moved to leave, but Lucian had a bit of a different idea. "Wait one more second. . . A few more things I need to do here. . ." With that Lucian set about releaving the dead men of their weapons and stuff. Lucian had a plan in mind, at he would at least like to get a simple dagger or some other kind of small, concealable weapon for himself and Vayne. It would be too risky to give Katerina a weapon for what he had planned. He needed at the very least one, but two would work as well. After that, he took one of the worse off guy's suits and bundled all their swords in it. He could sell those later or something. After that, he set to work on something else. He needed two suits, not badly damaged, but not in good condition either. He'd patch up whatever suits needed it, but made sure to leave at least one suit more badly damaged than the other. Satisfied with his work, he dropped the two suits on the carriage, before he grabbed the remainder of the reigns that the horses were bound to and fashioned it into a rope of sorts. Testing the strengths of the knots he made, he nodded to himself. "Right then. . . You two up for a little infiltration mission? Also on that train of thought, we should ask that guy if he or anyone else knew what his group looked like, or what you look like Vayne. See if he knows where they were supposed to go to drop off Katerina as well, in case they actually have the common sense to keep their doors locked. Katerina, you wouldn't happen to have any sort of Magic or anything, would you? And how well can you feign being knocked out?" As Lucian's grin widened into an outright smile, he explained his plan to them. He and Vayne would pretend to be a part of the group that went out to kidnap Katerina. However, the group encountered unexpected resistance, and four of them were killed, the other two, Lucian and Vayne, just barely getting out alive with their captive, as their assailant was too badly wounded to follow them. In reality, Katerina would not be unconscious, and Lucian would tie the rope in a specific way that would only allow the person bound by them to untie the knots. To anyone else, it would be a perfectly solid binding. The smaller, concealable weapons would have to suffice for their weapons inside the base, as Lucian hid his own weapon and clothing so it wouldn't get stolen while they were gone or some such. He extended the offer to Vayne and Katerina as well. After they awakened the guy again, got what information they needed, and knocked him out again, Lucian donned the less damaged of the two suits and tossed the other one to Vayne. He went about applying blood from the bodies over the cuts and stuff in them to make it seem more convincing, as well as makeshift bandages to hide their supposed 'wounds'. If they were to pull this off, and do it well they needed to do this right. Lucian handed off one of the makeshift weapons he could to Vayne, and 'tied' Katerina up. "All right. . . All set? To make this convincing, we're really going to need to be out of breath. I'll carry Katerina, you lead, all right Vayne?" And with that, they would be off. Lucian really didn't need to try very hard to be tired, as he was already pretty tired from a lack of sleep, along with carrying her as well. They had to go at a 'quick but slow' pace to avoid being targeted by all of the other mobsters out tonight, though Vayne would probably know the best way to do that. Speaking of Vayne. . . "So Lucian what brings you to our delightful city of Trillium? You don't like the usual shadys that pass through here and certainly this isn't what you planned to spend your time here doing." Blinking to rub some of the sleep out of his eyes, Lucian responded briefly. "You're right. This isn't what I planned. What I did plan was just to spend the night here and then leave in the morning. It was the next stop anyway. But then things happened, and, well. . " Lucian drifted off, sort've gesturing to the whole situation in general. |

I totally forgot . . .

Both Vayne and Katherina looked on confused as Lucian went about relieving the unconscious men first of their weapons and other essentials then proceeding to relieve two of the men of their outfits entirely. Vayne hoped this was part of a bigger scheme and not just Lucian looting the men, not that he would disapprove but this wouldn't have been the ideal time for something like that. Lucian would then move on to take what was left of the reigns of the horse and make a rope out of it, quite an impressive skill in Vayne's eyes. "Mind explaining why we just wasted so much time here." Katherina would ask clearly agitated now, hopefully Lucian wouldn't hold anything one her for being so brash. "I'm with Katherina here Lucian what's all this for." Vayne would ask referring to everything Lucian had scavenged. And how well can you feign being knocked out?" Lucian would ask before fully explaining his plan with a grin on his face. It was a creative plan but honestly Vayne didn't like the idea of putting Katherina in a situation like that after what just happened not to mention the number of ways he could imagine it going wrong. These thoughts however were quickly dismissed by Katherina shooting Vayne a look as she knew what he was thinking. She was determined to get to the bottom of this thing for some reason and at this point Vayne didn't know what she wouldn't do at this point. "Were In but I don't think he'll be waking up again anytime soon another one of them maybe. Secondly don't worry about Katherina she uses exquip magic and can be armed in a seconds notice, her acting on the other hand is a little sketchy but if it's just being unconscious she could pull it off." Vayne would say to Lucian as he and Katherina gave their weapons to Lucian to hide for safekeeping. "Ignore him im an amazing actor." Vayne would add afterwards. Awakening a second thug was just as easy as it was with the first only this one was much younger and wasn't as disrespectful, this meant that he answered their questions out of fear alone no threatening necessary. He was surprisingly more well informed that his older accomplice, an eavesdropper maybe, either way it was better for Vayne and the others as he e revealed to them that kidnapping Katherina was quite random as there given assignment was just to kidnap young and able women and get them back to their employer at the Montreal's Palace. In fact Katherina was to be the fourth woman they delivered for the night. He also revealed that the only ones who had paid enough attention to recognise his particular group and actually invest time into remembering who there were and know their names was a man know as the inspector whom they had been reporting to for the majority of the night. After putting the man back to sleep Lucian would toss one of the men's suit to him, it smelled horrible, like sweat and dirt but it wasn't in a bad the condition, not as bad as the one Lucian equipped at least. "Well it stinks." Vayne would say after putting on the suit which Katherina found amusing for some reason smirking at his comment. Vayne didn't get it. Vayne realised that Lucian was a bit of a perfectionist as he helped improved the authenticity of their guise by applying blood and makeshifts bandage to their outfits, details Vayne would never have bothered with. Vayne's only weapon now was a one of the weak blades the thugs themselves had been using that Lucian had given him. He had no experience with the weapon and years of training with his sword made adjusting to the new weapons weight and length a bit difficult. His swordsmanship training came in quite handy here because after a few empty strikes and weight checks he felt as confident as he was with his original weapon. Vayne felt like this was his opportunity to protect Katherina for a change as this plan made her vulnerable. However he trusted that Katherina would be able to take care of herself, if her makeshift restraints worked as Lucian said they would that is. Vayne would nod in compliance as Lucian explained that he would need to carry Katherine and that they would both have to give the image that they were tired. Vayne was a bit disturbed by the fact that Lucian would be carrying Katherina but he refrained from mentioning it. On the matter of him imitating exhaustion, he was awakened from bed in the middle of night, pretending to be tired would not prove a challenge. With everything that had happened when they arrived at Montreal's Palace with a plan in mind they would proceed by simply knocking on the front door, now to see if there plan would be successful. A slit in the door opened, giving way to an eye that scanned them thoroughly for a short moment which was followed by the sound of hinges unlatching before the door swung open and a man ordered them in quickly. "What the hell happen to you two? and where's the rest of your group?" the man who opened the door would ask as they entered and quickly close the door as soon as they were inside, he was young and a medical man of some sort that much Vayne could tell from the lab coat he wore. Vayne was about to answer when something else caught the man's attention. "Ahh another one." his eyes lighting up as he said it, obviously referring to Katherina. "Place her on a bed and head up to The Inspector for your orders and explain what to you happened to him." Vayne took in the the room they were in for the first time as Lucian would put Katherina on one of the the many bed that occupied the room, this was no casino. The average sized room was occupied with a dozen beds covered in dirty white sheet each parallel to the other, six on each side of the room. Four of them, made five with the addition of Katherina was occupied by women who seemed to be unconscious the condition of the sheets on the other implied previous occupation. The man in the lab coat was the only one in the room which would most likely make him the one in charge of keeping the woman they were kidnapping sedated. Still Vayne knew there was someone higher up the chain The Inspector most likely. There was a single staircase to the back of the room leading to the second floor of the building the door next to it most likely a back exit. Vayne would take the stairs up to the second floor where a man sat comfortably behind a desk his back turned to the duo. Wait for my signal Katherina Vayne would think to her as the man began turning his chair to face them. He would stange upon seeing them a huge brute of a man that looked like he had recently escaped from a maximum security prison. "And just who are you, I didn't hire you two" Vayne would take a small step back leaving there introductory remarks to Lucian. |

All right, play it calm play it cool play it calm. . . "What the hell happen to you two? and where's the rest of your gro-" "OPEN THE DOOR! DAMN YOU OPEN THE DOOR, HE MIGHT STILL BE CHASING US! QUICKLY! QUICKLY!" Lucian looked scared, actually genuinely scared. To be fair, he actually was genuinely scared. This plan of his could go wrong in so many ways, it was a scary thought to consider. The only reason he wasn't completely sobbing or anything was his rock solid mental state, cementing his focus on what really mattered. Still, it helped for things like this. Lucian wasn't an actor by any means, but if he was feeling some emotion, and it helped him achieve his ends, hey, why not? They were quickly ushered inside by the man, who noticed the "bound" Katerina. "Ahh another one. Place her on a bed and head up to The Inspector for your orders and explain what to you happened to him." "Peh, we better be paid well for this. Everyone else is dead. . ." After setting down Katerina on a bed in a room with a whole lot more women, and one creepy guy in a lab coat, Lucian and Vayne went up to see whoever this "Inspector" person was. If he was the brains of this operation, maybe he'd know what was going on. And, well, perfect decapitation strike oppertunity. If they took him out here, and whoever else was here, set the women free, and took what was there for themselves. . . They could make a tidy profit. Anyway, they found a spiral staircase and proceeded up it. There they found. . . The Inspector. DUN DUN DUUUUUNNNN!!! He swiveled around in his fancy swivel chair, faced them, and stood up. He was. . . large. Like, really large. Dude looked like a frigging inmate at some high security prison. "And just who are you, I didn't hire you two" Vayne stepped back a bit, letting Lucian do the intros. He mentally gulped. Time to see if he could pull this off. . . "W-well sir, that's just it. We never really needed to meet you. We weren't even supposed to be brought in for this job, let alone carry back the target. Things. . . changed, however. The girl we just brought in? Had a frigging demon for a guardian. The other six were killed off, but not before contacting us. Thankfully, we were able to fend him off, since he was injured from fighting the others and we got the girl. Still managed to get us a bit, right good. . ." Lucian sighed heavily, looking wearily at the large man. He took a step forwards, bringing himself closer to the man, but he made it look as non-threatening and pathetic as he possibly could at the moment. They weren't going to get much info out of him, it seemed. Lucian, and possibly Vayne, weren't nearly strong enough to keep the man restrained, and Lucian had no other materials to make ropes or anything. So, there was one last thing to go do. . . "S-so sir, I just have one thing to ask of you, just one tiny little thing. . ." From Lucian's palm emanated a light, quick and bright. There was no dramatic call, no sound before it, practically no way to defend against it at this range, and no way to tell it was coming. A millisecond after the light shined, multiple small emerald gemstones shotgunned out of his palm. . . and concentrated right on the man's crotch. Now, the gems themselves weren't all that strong, just about the strength of someone throwing a rock. However, there were a lot of them. A lot alot of them. All "thrown" at full strength. Right into his crotch. This was going to hurt a lot. Smoothly transitioning into combat, Lucian fluidly grabbed his hidden weapon and stabbed the guy in the crotch. As hard as he could. This was a set up for. . . "Now!" For Vayne to do his thing and end it. |
