Artorius couldn't help but sigh at the fact that Louis Malcal was interested in his story. The young entrepreneur and heir to the Malcal dynasty of business and export was notoriously nosy, even a lowly street rat like Artorius knew of the group and the Lord Malcal's rambunctious children. Though, it did help that Artorius had done his research. A little under a year ago Artorius was tasked with stealing a precious gemstone and replacing it with a dupe at a banquet hosted by the Malcal family. To accomplish that, Artorius had snuck in with an invitation while using the guise of none other than Lucas Laurent. Though, to be frank, that wasn't the first time Artorius had used that persona. There were a few other times, and eventually as he used the persona more and more, he managed to fabricate a tightly woven web of lies and deceit that he managed to keep track of. The man even used a shell company, though it wasn't actually his he just happened to use the name, to make it all the more realistic. There was indeed a Venture Company in Glacial Flats, but even if they were mining for lacrima (which they very well could be) he obviously was not the heir to that enterprise. Not by a long shot anyway. Nevertheless, Artorius figured that he would have to dodge and weave around the mischevious brat known as Louis Malcal. The young man was still a snot-nosed brat, but he was a smart snot-nosed brat wise beyond his years. This was going to be a pain to actually explain, so Artorius decided that it would be for the best for him to keep things brief and then disarm and dissuade him using a bit of verbal cloak and dagger to distract him from investigating too much. Louis Malcal was definitely the rich sort, though not a playboy, with way too much free time. Way too much, to the point where he might look up this Venture Company in Glacial Flats at some point. Artorius had his work cut out for him right now. "Oh, you see my father had humble roots in Acacia as a miner. Eventually, he managed to save up money and started a business - Venture Company, as I'm sure you've heard," Artorius spoke confidently. It was important that he sounded confident as he lied through his teeth. Fortunately, he was a damned natural at the job. Though, this wasn't necessarily how he picked up women -- he did it through sheer charm and a ruggedly handsome face, the abs help too for sure. Lying, sometimes that was just the tip of the iceberg, but he only did so when necessary for a job or something. Not once had he actually lied to Artesia. "Nevertheless, the old bloke heard of rumors and prospect of a lacrima mine over in the mostly untouched north. Hardly anyone ever tries to mine there. Could be the weather. Could just be the damned northerner barbarians with their beards and their axes. Or both, perhaps? Anyway, enough about business. How has your family been? I understand the illustrious Malcal group has been busy as ever?" Classic misdirection here. Rich folk like these loved to talk about themselves and their own, Louis Malcal was no different. "Oh, you know, busy as usual. Father has been woefully dreadful as of late, been getting pressured by some strange group. I haven't heard much about it and even I investigated a bit into it, but you know, not everything's meant to be looked into no matter how interesting," Louis spoke with a shrug of his shoulders. "Leila would never shut her trap about you. I remember you from the banquet but, frankly back then you seemed less, and by this I mean no offense, important... at the time," Louis spoke trying to sound quite astute and non-offensive. Though, any time you're about to say 'no offense' surely they're about to say something offensive, they just don't want to seem like it. "Anyway, she seemed quite smitten. Even now I could see her face flutter up in blush. Annoying, if I do say so myself. That aside, I've been busy with my studies and a bit of leisurely time. You ever go on a yacht? Oh, of course you have!" Artorius listened to the young man drone on and on as he merely shrugged his shoulders and nodded attentively every now and then. This Louis Malcal was definitely the sort of chap who loved to hear the sound of his own voice, and Artorius was certain that he probably proudly loved the smell of his own farts too, the type who thinks their shit doesn't stink and merely smells like roses. The worst kind of arrogant prick really, at least his sister had a bit of manners and dignity even if she did literally slap him across his face. Once Louis stopped talking for a bit, Artorius finally got a chance to talk. "So, tell me a bit about this group that has been pressuring your father? You seem like the intelligent sort, Louis, so I'm sure you managed to dig something up," Artorius asked, lacing his question with a bit of good 'ol brown nosing. "Oh? Please do tell." Artesia said with a motion to a more private and less crowded area of the hall, if this woman actually knew something of use to the pair then it was rather convenient. Whether or not this rumour she had heard was something that they could use though was anybody's guess, at least until she spilled more in it anyway. As they stood over in the corner of the hall the pair looked much like a pair of gossiping noble women which was almost accurate, little did they know that they weren't sharing details of their times with hot men or secrets of their crushes, these women were speaking of something far better, or at least in Artesia's books they were. Speaking about things that most women found interesting was far from a fun affair for the woman who would have preferred to be out stealing than gossiping but she knew how to put on an interested act for the job, you had to in this line of work if you wanted to be any good and get anywhere. Hopefully though Artorius was having as good of a time finding info as she was, then again part of her almost wanted the man to be having his ear numbed by the meaningless chatter she figured Louis would be spewing forth. Why? honestly she had no idea, perhaps it was just to see his expression to it all. "I heard that this ball was funded largely by a certain organisation, an organisation which hasn't got the best name if you know what I mean." Leila explained, "And?" As Artesia spoke she drew her 'a' sound out as if to add emphasis to the fact she was still waiting to hear the part that the woman had deemed she'd find interesting. She might have been pretending to be a noble but that didn't mean all of her personality had to be hidden, parts of it were allowed to flicker through the carefully placed cracks that were her persona. "Lucas has never shown up here before, I think it's a bit suspicious that he just happens to turn up tonight of all nights. Maybe he is part of this organisation." Ah, was that all she had to share? Artesia found herself disappointed as she stood there and it likely showed to some degree that she hadn't been enthralled or entertained in the slightest. But still, she couldn't help but wonder if this walking gossip bag did in fact know anything she could use. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind." Artesia turned to look at Leila after reaching out for a glass of wine that a waiter who walked by held on his tray and as she did her lips curled in a mischievous fashion and her eyes glinted leaving things open for whatever interpretation Leila wanted to give them. "But for now I think I'll enjoy the ride." Taking a sip of her wine as she waited to see Leila's reaction Artesia could hardly contain the laughter she felt rising as she saw the woman's face blush a brilliant shade of crimson red. "With that said, know any other interesting stories?" For some reason Leila found herself enthralled by the strange and exotic woman who stood before and perhaps it was the way she worked her magic but she soon found herself spilling the beans on several topics, none of which before the last Artesia found interesting in the slightest. "Oh! Speaking of this tower, I heard there is a secret floor." Hmm? well now, this could be a thing, or at least that was Artesia's thought as her attention was piqued and her gaze refocused. "And why would anyone think that?" The pace at which Leila was talking had Artesia wanting to grab her by the shoulders and shake her back and forth until she spilled everything but considering that the woman had been drinking and obviously couldn't hold it well the thief restrained herself and waited patiently. "Well, if you count the floors in this tower there is one more than is listed anywhere. It's like it's skipped or something." And bingo was his name-o, there was the piece she'd been waiting for. |

Artorius listened to Louis drone on about various nonsensical boring ranting for quite some time. However, he eventually had decided to spill the beans on a few interesting things. But, it came with a cost. That cost was quite mundane, but the expression on Artorius' face was one of utter disbelief. Namely, he could feel his skin wrinkling and his hair growing white as he listened to Louis, as if he were aging by the second or every three words that Louis was spewing out. The boy really did love to talk about himself and his various affairs. It was as expected of a rich smugly satisfied heir to a dynasty. He had an overinflated sense of self-importance, complete with an utter lack of a sense of humor. Artorius was typically the opposite. He wasn't necessarily humble per say, but he was cynical to a degree and could at least spout jokes and quips with the best of them, which is probably why Artorius could feel his body clock wearing down by the second here. Eventually, Louis did get back on topic and finally addressed Artorius' question. The man couldn't help but hold back a sigh of relief. Based on the smugness that Louis had on his face, Artorius couldn't help but think that Louis just was torturing him or something along those lines. Or, perhaps he was just a lonely kid with no one to sit down and talk to. Nevertheless, Artorius was just glad to get things over with as Louis continued. "By the way, have you seen my father around here? I saw him go to the elevator with some strangely dressed gentleman but I hardly know why," the boy said with a short sigh. "Unfortunately, my father never tells me anything when it comes to things like that. I can't help but be a bit, how should I say it, curious as to what sort of secrets he might be hiding. But, I'll let you in on a secret. I overheard my father speaking to these gentleman about a floor of some sorts. Perhaps that might be the unlisted one I've been hearing about. Anyway, I think I'll go stuff my face with a bit of caviar. It's been a pleasure meeting you again, Lucas," Louis Malcal said with a short bow of his head. Artorius quickly exchanged the gesture with a bow and a hand in front and another in back, a true gentleman's bow. "The pleasure has been mine. Now, where did that woman run off to? She's awfully hard to keep track of sometimes," Artorius murmured as he scanned around. The man couldn't help but breathe a sigh of disdain as he noticed that she was talking to Leila. This was going to be a pain. He could already see this playing out in his head several steps in advance, but he just had to go through with it otherwise they'd be sitting around all day. Sauntering over towards Artesia, the man joined the two women. Slinging an arm around her waist, Artorius crept his lips close to her ear. "We're leaving," he whispered before brushing he gently caressed her on the nape of her neck. "Leila. It's been a pleasure seeing you again," he said with a wink before he walked with Artesia back towards the elevator. "L-Lucas Laurent! You are the enemy of women everywhere!" Leila spat before crossing her arms and pouting. With a shrug, Artorius dragged Artesia back towards the elevator doors, which opened up at the push of a button. "Secret floor? Secret floor." The two spoke in unison with a short laugh. "It'll be too obvious if we just waltz in through the elevator. Besides that, there's probably some secret button or lever that will be a pain to find, assuming it's possible to find. Looks like we'll have to do this old fashioned way. I'll help you up." Looking towards the roof of the elevator car, Artorius noticed a latch which, after releasing it, would unlock the hatch door. Pushing it open, Artorius crouched down before using his leg muscles to jump upwards and hoisted himself up. Offering her a hand, Artorius would pull Artesia upwards towards the top of the cart and would close the hatch door after she got up. "You might have to get rid of a bit of that dress. It's a shame. You look so enticing in it after all. Anyway, see that vent over there? It's a short climb to it, and it's about parallel to where the next floor should be." |

It was if Artorius had a radar which told him exactly when to come and save Artesia from the boring conversation that would ensure after she had found out what she wanted to know for but moments of that happening his figure appeared beside her. His arm wrapped around Artesia's waist but as it slid into position it was sure to make its arrival as noticeable as possible through the contact it made across her back to get there. The sudden touch and arrival of her partner in crime so to speak shocked Artesia just enough to cause her to flinch slightly but it was obvious as to who it would have been once her mind caught up. She wasn't sure if he was still playing his role to the utmost of his ability and trying to cause the fat cats in the room to have a stroke as they continually witnessed heated and passionate gestures or if he was just trying to annoy Leila that little bit more given the circumstances, either way it wasn't as though Artesia minded though. The whisper in her ear Artorius used to communicate that they had found out what they wanted was one followed up by a gentle caress of her neck and to Leila and the pair of rich eavesdroppers within immediate earshot that could just make out what he'd said it seemed as though 'they were leaving for a certain reason'. You couldn't blame the poor saps for reaching such a conclusion though when you took into consideration the amount of tension and heat the pair were exhibiting, nor could you blame them for immediately blushing and feeling their faces burn as if on fire. There was no way their minds weren't wandering and we all know that it wouldn't have been to a wholesome side of town, if you get what I mean. Arriving at the elevator the pair stepped inside once the doors opened and as they did they found themselves saying the same thing at the same time, "Secret floor?" The amusement that came with the incident caused them both to chuckle slightly and with a smile on their faces as the doors closed behind them they once again spoke in tandem. "Secret Floor." It was so true that great minds thought alike and the pair in the elevator were very much a great example of just that. The panel at the top of the elevator which was primarily used for escapes in the instance of a fire and other emergencies would prove to be the thieves way of getting out of the metal box they were confined in and into the elevator shaft which they sought. "Right-o, guess we should make sure we aren't disturbed." Artesia said while crouching down and popping open the door to the emergency brakes which would stop the elevator for some time, too bad if anyone needed the thing to get to or from the floors in the tower now wasn't it. With the elevator now stationary the pair of thieves set to work and after Artorius leapt upwards to grasp the top edge of the elevator she watched as he pulled himself upwards to crawl through it, he did well to hide the visual and audible signs of the pain he must have felt in doing so but Artesia knew better. He would have been hurting, especially given the use of his upper body in such a way. For now though the woman opted not to say anything and went along with the hand he offered her to help her get up and out of the elevator as well. Once they were on top of the elevator and the hatch was closed behind them Artorius spoke of the ventilation shaft which they would be climbing to reach and as he spoke of removing her dress she felt a grin form on her features. "Oh? Then I would imagine that taking it off would make it all the more so." Without hesitation Artesia reached to the clasp which was designed to look like a decorative broach and as she undid it the bottom section to her dress came away and dropped to the ground. Much to Artorius's potential dismay the woman was wearing more than just her underwear, in fact she had her normal pants and the weapons that went along with them there to see. With ease she leapt from the top of the elevator to the piping that she could use to grasp and climb, quickly and effortlessly she reached the ventilation shaft and as Artorius caught up she worked on undoing the screws that held its cover in place with the use of a small and adaptable tool she had tucked on her persons. Leaving one there to hold it from falling down into the shaft and causing a sound that could lead people to investigating its cause she crawled inside and started the journey through the ventilation shaft. After a few metres though she realised something, "Enjoying the view?" |

True enough, Artorius was a bit sore and he could feel his upperbody ache as he pulled Artesia up. Though, it was probably easier than Artesia pulling him up, as first she would have to hoist herself up. Due to the width of the dress it wouldn't be that easy in comparison. Either way, Artorius would have had to deal with the pain of his damaged ribs, and while they were still healing and weren't as bad as before, it goes without saying that he wasn't exactly in his best shape. Nevertheless, they only had one shot at this whole thing so they had ot make it count. It wasn't like the Oculus Obscura, who were definitely the ones responsible for this event to be held, were exactly throwing these sort of events every other day. It was literally now or never. Though, it wasn't like the 'now' was exactly completely unenjoyable. In fact, it was quite the contrary. After the two platformed from a bit of metal piping they could jump towards and grasp, they made their way towards a ventilation shaft grate. Once Artorius caught up, she had already undone the screws and placed the grate covering aside. Never the shy one, Artesia climbed in first and crawled along. They moved quietly and swiftly as they crawled through. Now, what made the whole thing enjoyable was that Artesia was wearing a rather tight pair of black pants which gripped tightly onto her voluptous form. Artorius wasn't about to protest that, especially as he crawled with his eyes forward fixated on what was ahead of him. "Yes, thank you for asking..." Artorius spoke while he crawled forward, trying not to get too distracted now. Eventually, the two would come across a wider section with a grate. As they layed down beside it the two would hear people speaking on the so-called secret floor. Among the group of people speaking was a blonde man dressed in a purple cloak with a bronze-colored brooch and masquerade mask. Given his age and appearance it was fairly obvious that he was Lord Relius Malcal. However, based on his manner of speaking he didn't seem like he was being pressured or anything of the sort. Instead, it appeared that the man was speaking with the Oculus Obscura members amicably and familiarly, as if he was one of them. "Greetings brothers and sisters. The fat cats of the city appear to be enjoying themselves tonight," Lord Relius Malcal spoke in a harsh tone, condemning the aristocracy that Artorius had pegged him to be a part of. Though, it seemed that there was much more to the man than meets the eye. "Go easy on 'em, Relius. After all, you're a part of them after all, or once anyway," spoke a blackhaired man in a black, gold, and red cloak. "Besides, we gathered them all here tonight for a purpose, right? To see the lovely ladies in all their corsets pushing up their lovely mounds up and their hair done? Ahh... The upper crust has the finest women," he spoke with a grin. "But, those breasts are nothing compared to our own Miss Litchi. I just can't take my eyes off those things. Too bad she's busy stealing from the homes and vaults of those fat bastards while they're all busy gathered here." "Pervert. Don't come near me, Kagura," spoke a young blonde girl with a cat umbrella and various stuffed animals floating around her. Hurriedly, one of her floating stuffed cat dolls began sniffing about before it eventually pointed out the ventilation shaft. "Ojou-sama! Ojou-sama! There's something in the vents!" Then, in an instant, the blonde woman hurled a bolt of lightning at the grates. Realizing they were in danger, the two had no choice but to crawl towards the next grate and broke out of the vent before the entire shaft became dangerously electrified. "It appears unwanted guests have arrived. The ones we have been searching for no less. This is convenient," spoke Lord Relius Malcal with a smug grin. "Whoa! Look at those melons. Let me fight the woman, man. We're gonna kill them after all, right?" Kagura spoke with a mischievous grin. Edited by Mazohyst, Jan 8 2014, 05:57 AM.

Artorius's honesty was refreshing and as he once again returned her wit with his own she found her lips curling once again and a chuckle escaping them, "That's good." It was lucky that she wasn't the shy or bashful type for without doubt if she had she would have been in quite the pickle with Artorius being right behind her, her tight pants and equally so posterior made for quite the sight for the man after all. But whatever, she didn't mind, in fact she could mark it down as fun for the tease she knew it would have been. Evil you say? Nah, she was just mischievous. As they crawled through the vent the pair crossed a cover which they soon stopped at and peered down through, the father that Leila and Louis had been seeking was there and as he spoke to the people before him it was obvious he held no love for the nobles that he deemed himself not to be a part of. It was obvious as the each of the figures personality as they spoke, or at least it was for one of them at the very least as he spoke of boobs, women and more boobs. Oh yes, Artesia had dealt with his kind more times than she could count. Unfortunately for the thieves though they were discovered in the ventilation shaft by the familiar of the woman in the room below and in order to avoid being shocked to death they had to make a hurried dash/crawl to the next exiting grate. As per the standard of entrances to such a place at the given time they pair made a skilled and professional looking one by rolling in unison to stand on their feet side by side, truly it looked like they'd practices it many a time, little did anyone know that they'd only met at the most two days ago. In response to the man called Kagura and his statement regarding her 'melons' Artesia scoffed in a mocking manner and reached for Hidari and Migi who were sheathed at her sides, "Tch, You can't handle these," Drawing her weapons and beckoning the man into action with every ounce of her being Artesia continued, "But you're welcome to try." Enjoying the attitude and the fire that she burnt with Kagura's own lips curled into a grin and after a hearty laugh of amusement he refocused his gaze to her own with a steeled intensity. "Don't mind if I do." Beckoned forth via his magic a massive sword of black and red metal appeared within his grasp and behind his back. Yeah, it wasn't exactly what you wanted to see your enemy pulling out when you had two dual blades to work with but it wasn't like Artesia was intimidated by it in the slightest. The man launched himself forwards to attack Artesia knowing that his ally would prevent the man she was with from interfering, Artesia however wasn't content to fight still at Artorius's side and rolling away she lured the man into chasing her for several metres before their blades were forced to deadlock against one another. When in a deadlock Artesia knew that the best way to win if you couldn't do so through sheer power was to use a little ingenuity and much like she did back at the bar she decided to try the taunting into an opening approach. "I do hope you're not overcompensating for something with that." Artesia smirked with an evidently mocking tone lacing her words. Unfortunately though this enemy wasn't dumb enough to take the bait, "Allow me to show you first hand then." He winked. It was then that it became apparent that the taunt approach was a failure, too bad in several moments he would also follow up on it. |

This wasn't going as planned, but sometimes life simply works that way. For instance, Artorius never planned to meet Artesia and something totally awesome happened. Now, I'm not actually going to say it but, well, you know. Nevertheless, they now had a fullblown fight on their hands. This was the sort of situation that Artorius was not hoping for. If he was lucky then he simply could just sneak on over towards one of these assholes and slide a knife through their rib cages and into their internal organs. The man never really enjoyed getting into fights where he could avoid them, but it seemed this one was completely unavoidable. Nevertheless, Artorius wasn't about to back down now, at least not when a viable escape route didn't seem to be within his immediate reach. The one they would soon come to know as Kagura approached Artesia, apparently eying the woman's lovable plump melons. The thief couldn't exactly blame the guy. They were quite lovely, now aren't they? Though, before Artorius even had a moment to relax the short young girl was already waiting to put an end to that. "I hope you're not as much of a pervert as Kagura," she spoke as she stepped forward, twirling her umbrella slightly over her shoulder. "Nevertheless, you may call me Rachel. I'm afraid I'll have to put you down. Surely that will make The Gray King happy," she smiled innocently at the thought of her own words. Though, as innocent as she seemed she was far from it. Her first attack came swiftly after, dashing forward by floating in mid air using that umbrella of hers. Once she was within range, the umbrella had closed itself before it was quickly thrust and jabbed forward. The tip of the umbrella was surprisingly sharp, formed from the 'cat ears' that were on top of her umbrella. Artorius leapt out of the way, finding his back against a wall. A flurry of thrusts followed soon after, which Artorius avoided by rolling against the wooden wall. But, as the attacks just narrowly missed their mark, the umbrella's tip pierced through with a great deal of force. It was clear that she was no ordinary girl, as if that wasn't already obvious from her involvement with this group. Realizing he couldn't stay idle forever, Artorius drew his sword from behind himself and the concealment of his tuxedo's tailcoat. "Not bad for a little squirt," Artorius spoke teasingly. In response, the girl grew flustered and frustrated, visibly upset that she was being talked down to. Either she was irritated from the height-based insult or the fact that he was insulting her youth. "Shut up, you pervert!" Before Artorius could even begin to think about how or why he was a pervert for making fun of her she had blasted a bolt of lightning straight at Artorius' face. The attack came with such speed and force that the man just barely had time to dodge it. But, as it flew past him, an audible crack could be heard as his masked began to break and crumble apart before falling to the ground. Right now, Artorius was just testing the girl's limits. More specifically, he was trying to find out what sort of magical abilities she had and how she used them. Artorius was the sort who didn't go rushing in recklessly without a plan. Right now, his plan was merely to come up with a plan. At the same time, he knew that he wasn't at his full potential due to his injuries, so charging in like that would be nothing short of reckless. |

Artesia needed both of her weapons to keep the blade that was pushing down on her at bay and as they crossed over to do so it meant both of her hands were also preoccupied, Kagura needed both hands to bring his own blade down on her with as much strength as he could but when he figured he had the chance to do so he let go with one of them and reached out to grab what was within his reach. They were ever so tempting, they looked so simply delectable and he had to have them, his hand reached out to grab the pair of melons that were so close he could almost smell them but reacting quickly Artesia moved backwards just fast enough to make sure that he didn't get the handful that he wanted. When his hand grasped a hold of the mask that was covering Artesia's identity Kagura screwed his face up disappointedly, damn, that hadn't been what he wanted. Oh well, it wasn't like it had been all that bad, her face was something in itself and as he grinned from ear to ear it showed just how he felt about the new sight before him. She might have broken out of the deadlock thanks to his actions but at least now he could see her entire face, "There we go, it's not fair for you to see me but not to share yourself." Kagura smirked while tossing the masquerade mask to the ground at his feet. "Tch, I didn't want to overwhelm you clearly." While Artorius's fight was one without much entertaining banter Artesia had somehow gotten herself the one with the attitude to clash with her own, oh well, it would make it that much more fun when she beat him. Things had already heated up in terms of the energy being put into the fight between Artorius and the woman who was after him but it wasn't until this moment in time that it happened between the pair at hand. A swirling black orb of darkness manifested itself around Kagura and as he launched it towards Artesia he followed suit aiming to attack her from behind while she dealt with the blow it would deal her. If she chose to block him rather than the orb she would take even more damage given that he was only aiming to bring her to her knees and not kill her just yet so it was lucky that Artesia made the right choice. The orb had been fired at her with incredible speed and in order to block it, or at least as much of it as she could Artesia used not only her blades in a shield like formation but also her ability to cause a force like push of magic from her body. As the blast struck the force and what was left struck her blades Artesia was relieved to notice that she was pretty much unharmed, as the darkness faded though and she noticed her enemy was missing things became concerning. Before she could act Kagura's foot slammed into her back and staggering forwards to her knees the metal of her blades sounded out as they struck with the ground along with the hands that still held them stubbornly. Standing there with a smug as heck look on his face Kagura looked down to the woman on all fours with a look of not only amusement but also of a far more sinful pleasure, "I do love a woman on all fours." |

Artorius was biding his time and saving his energy, both physical and magical. So far, he hadn't attacked. But, it wasn't entirely because he was being reserved here. Instead, it was just difficult for him to find an opportunity to attack. Rachel was fast, blisteringly so. Artorius just happened to avoid most of her attacks by the skin of his teeth, but also because there was a great deal of distance between themselves when she had launched her lightning attack, so that meant that he at least had a moment to react to her attacks before he had to dodge. Keeping his distance, a flurry of swift umbrella-blade thrusts were sent towards him. Artorius dodged and he weaved, but a few of the thrusts managed to just barely scrape his tuxedo and even inflicted a narrow wound. Artorius couldn't keep this up forever as he had the sneaking suspicion that she wasn't even using her full speed. It was quite possible that she could outspeed Artorius at any time, and even right now as she held back the thief was just barely avoiding her. Narrowly avoiding another bolt of plasma, Artorius created one of his trademark smoke platforms above and ahead of him by rapidly inhaling and exhaling, creating a solid meter thick space of gray smoke. Using it as a stepping stone, Artorius gained an additional amount of height than he ordinarily would have in order to entirely avoid Rachel's vehement barrage of lightning bolts. Though, as Artorius leapt skyward, he caught a somewhat distressed Artesia in a rather compromising situation. And nobody puts her in compromising positions except for Artorius himself! Diving towards him, Artorius delivered a diving kick aimed at Kagura's face. Despite this, Kagura had brought his sword up to defend himself, blocking Artorius' kick before shoving him away. "Rude! Nobody gets between me and breasts," Kagura groaned as he slung his sword over his shoulder. "Let's switch dance partners," Artorius said to Artesia with a click of his tongue. It seemed that Rachel was fine with this as she was getting tired of fighting an individual that she deemed a 'pervert'. Though, Artorius had no idea as to why she even considered him a pervert, not that he particularly cared right now anyway. "You wanted to dance with me? Sorry man, but I don't swing that way!" Ironically, Kagura was the first to approach after the initial exchange, bringing forward the immense slab of steel that he wielded like a giant sword in a fierce overhead slash which was swung downward, crushing the ground beneath it. Artorius had chosen to avoid the attack entirely, avoiding it and the dark energies that emanated from the strike by dashing quickly off to the side. "I'll leave this to you two. Don't disappoint the King," Relius spoke before he disappeared in an instant. Edited by Mazohyst, Jan 8 2014, 07:48 AM.

Steel your mind. Run on instinct.

Artesia was somewhat thankful for Artorius's intervention for it provided her with a clean opportunity to scramble forwards and back to her feet, "Fine by me, this guys a little too full on even for me." The woman said while glancing to her new opponent, she wasn't exactly thrilled with fighting a young girl but given that this particular young girl had strength and magic enough to mean it was a fair fight she'd make an exception. Rachel was the first to attack with the new pairings and as the familiar flew towards Artesia with speed behind it that pretty much meant it would have strength as well her features contorted into a grin, it was evident that she expected the attack to hit and to do damage based on just that, too bad for her there was no way Artesia was going to be taken down by a stuffed animal. As the familiar came into reach Artesia swiftly sidestepped the attack and as she did so she sliced her blade through it with ease reminiscent of a hot knife through butter causing a loud and ear piercing shriek from the woman controlling it. "KYAAAAAH~" Outraged and clearly very upset by the 'death' of one of her familiar Rachel's figure looked to the toy which had its stuffing spilling out onto the floor much as if it were blood. She wiped a tear from her eyes as she sniffled but that was about all that took place before she glared to Artesia with murderous intent, "YOU BITCH!" Artesia found herself slightly taken aback by the change in personality but she figured it had something to do with the attachment the woman must have held for her familiars. "Such foul words for a young lady." As you can imagine the mocking tone of Artesia's voice and the fact she was being looked down upon by yet someone else for her young appearance merged in with the anger that she felt from the destruction of the teddy and before Artesia knew it there was a blast of lightning coming right at her. Thankfully though she was faster than Artorius was and therefore Artesia was able to dodge it with more room to spare, as the enraged blasts of both wind and electricity continued though she found herself being herded around the room in order to dodge them. As she flipped, ducked and weaved Artesia threw a throwing blade from time to time when the opportunity arose to do so and when one of them struck their target things went from bad to worse when yet another enraged scream echoed out. With her back to the large window which reached from ground to floor Artesia was joined by Artorius who wound up there after dodging Kagura's attacks. |
