Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

At a bar in Trillium, a young man sat on a bar stool, nursing his beer as he thought about all the events that had brought him to this point.

"What am I doing..."

He muttered as he sipped his beer, still reflecting on events of the past. For a moment, he just sat there, in his boxer shorts, staring at his half empty beer bottle.

"Why...why didn't I do anything to save him..."

As the young one spoke, he looked at the calendar.

"That time of year already. I suppose this would be the best place for me."

He looked over to the barkeep and shouted.

"Glass of eggnog for everyone on me!"

As he shouted, zero slammed 1000 jewel on the bar with a wide grin on his face.

Ah, Trillium, a city Ericka didn't visit all that often. The place was a little dreary. The skyline was nice as most cities did not have massive skyscrapers and pointed tops. But the sky itself was kind of dark and smog induced. Even though the city was reborn, one could tell that it was still recovering from the historic attack by the queen of dragon that happened so long ago. As a city with no official guild, it did really well, however. But that was mostly because of the rumors of the underworld that was present here. But considering there were dark guilds everywhere, Ericka wouldn't be surprised if there were two or three lurking within the city limits.

The girl arrived in Trillium that morning and took care of the errand she had to run. Now she had the rest of the day to relax and goof off before she had to catch her train back to Belladonna tomorrow morning. And as with every city, there was always one past-time that was always present, drinking! Now, Ericka wasn't the type to drink a lot, but that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy it every once in a way. And with a bar so close to her inn, it seemed like the easiest choice. This way, if she got a little too drunk, she wouldn't have to worry about making it back to the inn. It was nearly across the street. What a brilliant business move.

Dressed in a black blazer and jeans, Ericka made her way into the bar. From the looks of things, it was pretty empty. It was still early in the day and the heavy drinking crowd wasn't there yet. Sure, there were a few people inside, but they were there more for relaxing than forgetting about their problems. Except for one guy. He had to be drunk off his ass. Somehow, he was in the bar in only his boxers. Not much Ericka could say about that other than he'd probably pass out soon. Shrugging, the girl made her way to the bar and sat on a stool a couple of seats away from the boxers dude. Tapping the bar, Ericka smiled and raised her hand up. "Gimme a Vodka Collins!" She ordered, which was a vodka/lemonade mix.

Hearing the feminine voice, Zero instantly turned on his barstool.

"Happy holidays."

As he said this, he motioned the barkeep to bring him the same drink.

"So, what brings you to our oh so happy city?"

Not much of a conversationalist, Zero quickly went back to his beer.

"......"

He muttered something under his breath before taking another drink.

"Happy, who am I kiddin'."

Zero kept drinking as he waited for the girl to respond. Though he wasn't so sure that she would.

Ericka raised a brow as the nearly nude guy spoke to her. She was surprised to see that he was coherent. What an odd drunk! Ericka couldn't help but chuckle a bit at him as she waited for her drink to be made. "Whoa, here I thought you were some drunk. Well, maybe you still are." She said out loud, even though that second part was meant more as an internal comment. It he wasn't completely off his rocker, maybe stripping was just the first stage of his drunkenness. Taking a moment, she looked around the stool to see if any of his clothes were just sitting there on the floor.

Seeing nothing confused her, but once he asked about the city, Ericka perked up and smiled. "Oh Trillium. I had an errand to run. The place has a nice feel to it, even if it isn't something like Magnolia." She said, as he added his extra bit about how this city being happy was a joke. Honestly, Trillium had a different kind of air about it. But the simple fact that it rose again after being demolished meant that its citizens were not only survivors, but endurers. It wasn't a shining glimmer of light, but it shined its own brilliance.

Turning to him, Ericka's drink finally arrived. She took a quick sip before speaking again. "What's your story anyway? Not every day a bar gets people stripping...well, not this early anyway." She said jokingly, the bartender laughing a bit at her humor. People did some wild things when they were drunk and it seemed like this guy was just getting started. Not to mention his attitude was as dreary as the skyline. Maybe something happened with him. It wouldn't be so surprising considering must people went to alcohol after something sad happened.

"Grew up on Mt. Hakobe. Real cold up there. Compared to that, this place is really warm."

Then he thought about the other question. Not like she really needed to know his pain. He barely even knew her.

"Some questions are better left unanswered. Trust me, you don't want to know."

At least he could be as honest as that. Returning to his drink, he noticed something. There seemed to be a symbol on her neck.

"By the way, what's that on your neck?"

Completely uneducated about guilds, Zero didn't know about the emblems either.

His explanation for this clothing was a bit nonsensical. She was pretty sure that the people on Mount Hakobe didn't want around with T-shirts and shots on. And that'd have to be the level of clothing they'd normally wear to even come close to thinking it was hot enough to go streaking down here in Trillium. Maybe this guy wasn't drunk, but he was an odd one. "Well, I don't know what kind of rules they have up there, but I'll tell you now that streaking isn't really public decency. Though, we do have clothes for when it's hot. There's no need to strip down to your underwear." She teased, taking another sip of her drink.

He went on to get hush about his past. It wasn't really what Ericka was asking about, but it was a response she heard before. People tended to be really touchy about their lives and when something scarred them, they were even more defensive. Ericka wanted to help, but she wasn't in the position to offer it while imposing. Easing into a situation like that took careful movement of the conversation. But, if Ericka was anything, she was a conversationalist. But thing took an even odder turn, if they was believe about. The guy asked about her guild tattoo. Not only did he not know the guild, he didn't seem to know the purpose of the tattoo.

"Huh? My guild tattoo?" Ericka said, raising a brow and tilted her head to the side so that it was more visible. "It's the mark of my guild. It means I'm an official Lamia Scale mage." She explained, assuming he knew what guilds were at least. She'd be wrong, but she didn't actually know that yet. "I guess you've never been to Belladonna huh?" She added. It was the city where Lamia Scale was based. In fact, it was one of Fiore's major cities, with Lamia Scale being one of the three big name light guilds.

"Oh, right, guilds. Never been anywhere but here and Hakobe, so I don't know much about them. Heard Lamia Scale was up there in the ranks though."

As he spoke, Zero stood up, looking at the tattoo on her neck before slamming his left fist into his right palm. As he did so, the air between his hands grew exponentially colder. When he lifted his fist, an Icy clone of the tattoo floated in the air above his palm.

"Something like this, right?"

Somewhat proud of his work, he attempted showing it off to the girl.

"Been doing stuff like this my whole life."

He handed her the icy ornament, wanting to free his right hand to drink again.

It looked like her guild and its reputation wasn't completely lost on the guy. Even a mountain living person like him heard of Lamia Scale. It made sense. They weren't in the top three for nothing. Lamia Scale had a reputation that got it where it was. It led in magical research and development made it a name that almost everyone knew. Even in Chrysanthemum, the city without magic, Lamia Scale was known for its exploits and achievements. And of the three top guilds, it had the better rep. It wasn't destructive like Fairy Tail and it was not vain like Blue Pegasus. It made Ericka happy to know that she was a part of something like that, helping anyone she could.

Then, suddenly, the guy slammed his left hand into his right, causing Ericka to jump in surprised. What was with this guy? Maybe he really was drunk? But then, she saw him use his magic and make a copy of the tattoo out of ice. Honestly, it wasn't that impressive, but he was proud of it. It he wasn't he wouldn't have shown it off. And being a mage was always something to be proud of. "Yeah, something like that." He said, with a smile. Ice magic was definitely not something she had encounter extensively yet, but it was an element that was pretty common. Taking another sip of her drink and crossed one of her legs over the other and rested one of her arms on the bar.

"Ah, so you're experienced in your magic. You should look up a guild join. You'd be surprised at how much more your talents grow when you are surrounded by other gifted people." Sure, it wasn't her reason for joining a join, but it was the reason a lot of people did. Some people wanted to help others while other people wanted to get stronger. There was nothing wrong with either of those things, just as long as they didn't stray from the path of justice. She picked up the ice ornament and set it down on the bar. It was cold, so she didn't want it in her hands for too long.

"Yeah, about that...I don't know. Seems like a lot of my troubles would be imposed on others."

While he usually wasn't all that vocal about his past, something about this girl was dragging it out of him.

"Tell ya what. How bout I buy you a drink and tell you a story, and I'll think about joining a guild."

He wasn't sure if she would buy this deal that he was offering, but he hoped he wouldn't really have to join a guild. His troubles, to him, were his troubles.

"Besides, too much stuff for one person, let alone hundreds. I'd sooner bore them to death than be of any use."

Believingin not even himself was one of the worse traits that Zero had acquired since his birth. Granted, his self worth was not completely zero. Just very very low.

Ericka shook her head as the guy said he'd be imposing. People with tortured past seemed to be common place in special individuals like mages. While it was true that this only seemed like that, truthfully it wasn't. But Lamia Scale did have its fair share of people that weren't liberal at all about where they came from. Even Ericka's own teammate kept quiet about her past. The girl was the definition of a tortured soul, but Ericka knew it was only a matter of time before she opened up. Trusting people was a hard thing to do for some people and the best Ericka could do was be there for her. It'd come out when she was ready, that's what teammates and friends were for.

The guy offered her a drink and a story. And while Ericka was still sipping away at her first drink, she didn't mind another free one. And if it got this guy out of his pity party and into some clothes, she'd listen to him as well. "Sounds like a plan." She said, looking to the bartender. "When I finish this one, let me have another, on him." She pointed to the guy as she ordered, just to make sure. "By the way, my name is Ericka." They had yet to formally introduce themselves to each other, so now was a good time before any stories were exchanged.

"Well, you'd be surprised at how much baggage people carry around nowadays. You think you have it the worse, but someone out there has it even worse. I find that people that talk about it feel better afterward." She mentioned. He wasn't the first sad case she's ever dealt with. Ericka was a girl that made a habit out of helping others and she saw and heard a lot of horrible things. But even in those cases, there were far worse things that could happen and people were always able to pull themselves out of the problem. Why shouldn't this guy be any different?
