A yawn and a cough escaped Snow as he stepped off of the vehicle transport, it was a sort of bus that had taken him from Snap Dragon Creek to the small town of Tully Village as he was heading on back to Tessera and the guild. It was quite the shame he hadn't got to stay in the Creek longer as he had met up with Larkin Falzo, one of Alouette's cousins, and they had got into some crazy stuff including a strange speech altering drink as well as a robbery that turned out to be the cause of drawing Larkin's attention which lead to a whole other matter of crazy. Unfortunately it seemed that the man the two had met with wished to take Larkin somewhere more private due to the nature of what was discussed, Snow had understood and decided it was best for him to get back to the guild. Thus he was now in Tully Village, the pit stop in his travel to the city.

It was mid-afternoon, another hour or two and it would start getting dark but the choice now was whether to grab some food or wait until he got back to the guild. Snow silently cursed as he made his way further into town, his stomach was at the stage of being empty but yet somewhat full, however he soon found that he needed the restroom rather than food and so he hurried to find the nearest restroom which thankfully was located next to a couple of shops. After a minute or two of revealing himself, washing his hands and then drying them he was soon back out on the streets of Tully Village and heading further into what seemed to be the shopping district of the town, village, whatever it was.

Though, Snow did not realize at this time that he had arrived on the day which was best known in the village as 'The Tully Rush'. Something that involved a lot of old people and shopping.

Jeremy was on a short break from his days in Empyrea. Everything he was learning in the international Academy was simply just revising what Jeremy had already learned, so he took a short leave of absent to travel around Fiore. Quite some time ago, the Boscan had heard of Tully Village, and old and almost desolate settlement which was only populated by the elderly. Since there weren't that many people affected by the wretched Boscan-Fiore War there, Jeremy reckoned it was worth a visit, besides, it's a town of old people, what's the worst that could happen?

Not to mention, Jeremy liked the peace and quiet, it allowed him to become one with the air, earth, and water, make him feel more alive than the annoying ramblings and shenanigans of Empyrea. He wandered around, browsing through the unique, antique designs of the houses. Some had withered a bit from the age, but the aura that it had around it seemed so peaceful and serene. The young Boscan felt the breeze of the wind caress his cheek, even the winds of this settlement were calm and caring.

Jeremy was dressed in his average clothing. His favorite hoodie complemented with blue jeans and converse shoes. He had his stele sheathed in his back pocket, but, Jeremy didn't bring his spear with it because he felt like it might intimidate most of the citizens of Tully. So, he decided to keep wandering the streets of Tully, maybe buy a few souvenirs for his roommates back at Empyrea.

As Jeremy's eyes danced across the truly beautiful architecture of this ancient city, until he bumped into a man. Jeremiah's eyes widened in shock of accidentally walked into the man. He was tall, really tall, taller than Jeremy, at least 3 inches taller than him. He also had snow white hair which was mostly covered by a black bandana and had a white stubble. Jeremy's eyes slowly lowered before saying, "I'm sorry sir, forgive me."

The ocean blue eyes that belonged to Jeremy briefly looked into the eyes of the strange, white-haired man. He then moved away and started walking once more. However, the stele that belonged to Jeremy and was the source of his magic had fell out of Jeremy's pocket, the collision between the two men had caused it to fall to the floor, it was noticeable enough that a man would be able to see it quite easily, but Jeremy had not noticed it leave his person, and without it, he'd be powerless.

Snow was minding his own business as one usually does as they walk down the street, most people he passed gave him a look or two as they saw just how tall he was. It was something that Snow had gotten used too and as such it didn't really bother him that much until something had hit the front of him. It seemed he too wasn't really paying much attention but neither did the kid in front of him. The kid had looked up as it was hard not to when meeting Snow due to sheer difference in height, the kid seemed to be in shock and looked a little scared perhaps also due to the difference in height. Snow simply looked at the kid, whom looked to be in his late teens and sort of looked like a regular teenage student in casual clothing. The kid lowered his head and apologized and Snow moved to the side and watched as he walked past, Snow shrugged and was about to turn back around and carry on his way when he noticed something on the ground.

Bending down, Snow picked the object up, it was interesting whatever it was. The object in question was some sort of steel, needle thing with intricate carvings around near the top of it. Whatever this object was it had an owner, and that owner was walking away in the opposite direction. Taking hold of the object and placing it in his jacket pocket he soon turned around and looked for the kid, managing to catch sight of his hoodie before following the kid. Snow now wondered about the kid since this needle thing didn't look like the usual thing every teenager carried about with them, it looked like something that would belong to a mage of sorts which seemed to be the most logical of conclusions and Snow wasn't surprised to find another mage at Tully Village.

"Hey kid, wait up!" Snow called out to the young male as he was nearing the point that he was almost walking beside the boy. Hopefully it would be simple matter of returning the object, no questions asked.

Jeremy was impressed, and jealous at the height of the man he just bumped. He was pretty damn huge, Jeremy would probably never be able to reach that height which kinda upset the Boscan. Being tall was pretty neat. But he quickly moved on from the topic and started walking again. He put his hoodie up to attempt not catch that much attention, because the last thing Jeremy needed was a giant sign on him telling the whole world where he was. Jeremy wasn't exactly the type to want attention, so he tried his best to act normal amongst the crowd.

Jeremy turned his head to the left to see a small cafe, he was about to keep walking until he heard his stomach grumble and felt his mouth water. Jeremy sighed and cursed his human needs and entered the cafe. There was a small table for two so he decided to sit down there. Once he was seated and comfortable, he smiled to himself, this place was an ideal area for Jeremy to live in. A quiet, beautiful, intricate town. An old, small woman approached Jeremy and gave him the menu, he gave a small smile to the woman to show his appreciation and let his finger scan the menu.

That's when he heard an unfamiliar voice approach him, when Jeremy turned to look who it was, he saw the freakishly tall, white-haired yet quite young, man who was holding something that was very valuable to Jeremy. It was his stele, basically the one thing that gave Jeremy magic. His eyes widened once more and then looked at the stranger before saying. "Thank you, kind sir. You returned quite an important item to me. Come, sit, I'll order you a drink on me. Would you like anything?"

Hoping he would answer, Jeremy decided to introduce himself, " Oh forgive me, I'm asking you to order something yet I haven't given you my name yet. My name is Jeremiah James Kingsley. But, you can call me Jeremy or JJ. May I ask what your name is sir?"

It turned out that Snow had actually misjudged whom he was about to walk beside, it was in fact not the male he was looking for. The young kid was just here though, so where did he go? Looking a bit confused for a moment, Snow looked around before spotting a cafe with a table outside that was occupied by a similar looking kid. Narrowing his eyes a little and then taking in air through his nostrils he confirmed that the guy sitting at the table was indeed the owner of the needle thing. The handy increase of sense of smell was a useful gift of his Magic and Snow soon made his way towards the table and called out once again.

Snow held out the needle thing as he approached, the male turning and responding in kind as Snow stood near the table. The kid thanked him for returning the object, which turned out to be an important item of the kid's whom then offered to buy him a drink at the cafe. The kid then introduced himself as Jeremiah James Kinglsey before asking for Snow's name. Nodding gently and pulling out the other chair so he could sit down, Snow answered with a simple "Call me Snow." A little smile forming as he sat down. "I'll just have a lemonade, thanks." He then added in response to the acquisition of a free drink. Smiling a little, Snow soon inquired about the strange object. "Mind if I ask what that thing is and what it's for?"

A simple question really as Snow had never seen something such as that before, despite his travels he didn't really find intricate items nor did he go looking for them. As the two would converse and acquire their drinks and what not, a faint noise that sounded like shouting would soon start. The odd thing was that it would increase and decrease in volume, but one thing was for sure; it was getting closer.

The strange man was friendly enough to return Jeremy's stele to him. But the fact that Jeremy was so clumsy as to let one of the most important things carried on his person was quite embarrassing. Jeremy let out a breath of frustration for being so stupid before looking back at the man. Jeremy gave him a small smile before taking back the stele and twirled the pen-like object around his fingers, letting the familiar texture of the enchanted object caress his flesh.

The man had taken the seat opposite to Jeremy, that's when the stranger introduced himself as Snow. A peculiar name, but not a strange one. "Ah I see, Snow, quite an ironic name considering the fact that it's winter right now. Nice to meet you, I apologize once more for hindering you for whatever purpose you came here."

Snow smiled at Jeremy before stating the drink he wanted, so, Jeremy called out to the kind lady before saying, "This man would like some lemonade please." the old lady smiled before returning to the counter. Jeremy put down his stele on the table and that's when Snow asked the purpose of the object.

"The purpose of this object? It's sort of like a pen, but it's a key component in my magic. You see, I'm a holder mage. Well, in technicality I'm a type of Solid Script mage. My magic revolves around the use of ancient magical runes," Jeremy replied, hoping that Snow would be satisfied by his answer.

Jeremy looked around, seeing if anyone was in the vicinity, the cafe was almost empty, the old lady had gone into the kitchen and Snow and Jeremy were the only people in the cafe. So, he picked up his stele, and wrote a small rune in the air. a small z-shaped rune appeared in the air where Jeremy had drawn, it was small black in color. The rune hanged in the air for a bit, then it expanded into a small kite shield made of pure energy.

"Like that, however, my magic is quite weak right now. That's why I', attending Empyrea International. But, since were in the topic of magic, are you a mage, and if so, what's your magic?"

Jeremy gave a smile before taking back his needle object before listening to Snow as he introduced himself and inquired about the object that he had just returned. Of course, upon hearing his name he pointed out the irony of it, however it wasn't the exact irony but it was close. Snow waved off the apology the kid made before giving a little smile to the old lady as she came back to the table and Jeremy asked for a lemonade. Jeremy soon began to talk about the object which was a stele and it turned out to be a bit like a pen, that was a key for his magic. The kid was a mage, a type of holder mage it seemed as he explained further. He used Solid Script Magic, Snow himself had heard a bit about it but never really met anyone who used it or could tell him more. It was then that Jeremy soon looked about before using his stele to write in the air before a sort of rune shaped like the letter 'z' appeared before him.

Snow blinked and looked as close as he could without being too close before looking back to Jeremy. His magic was weak it seemed and he was attending Empyrea International, whatever that was, before asking about Snow's own. Smiling he simply replied, "I'm a type of ice mage, you could say. As for Empyrea International, I can't say I've ever heard of it." It was then that the old lady returned with their drinks, placing them in front of the respective consumer. Taking hold of his glass, Snow took a swig of it before returning it to the table. Though as he adjusted in his seat he caught an odd sight outside of the window, a large group of old people was racing down the street. The sight was ... Odd, to say the least. It was a large group that consisted mostly of old women with a few old men here and there and they were all rushing up the street, further into the shopping district of the town.

"Well, there's something you don't see everyday." Snow commented with a chuckle.

Jeremy found Snow very kind and amusing. He seemed to not be irked by Jeremy's clumsiness of losing his stele, and Snow seemed to wave off the apology like Jeremy didn't do anything wrong. Jeremy watched as Snow inspected the small rune that Jeremy had drawn, it was very weak, only lasting for a few seconds before Jeremy dismissed the runes. He still needed to work on his magic, he wasn't even strong enough to be an average mage. That's why Jeremy was quite unsatisfied with how weak he was.

Snow looked blankly at Jeremy when he said the name of the prestigious academy of magic that he was attending. It seemed like he had never heard of the academy, "Empyrea, you know, the prestigious magic school that's divided into four houses. A very popular place for mages-in-training to attend and become stronger, people like me? "

Jeremy wouldn't blame Snow if he hadn't heard of the school, it was only largely publicized a few months ago, which was why Jeremy attended it. But, what Jeremy was more curious about was Snow's magic. No doubt it was some kind of ice magic, hence the name, but it seemed like he was hiding something, "Sorry if I'm walking on thin ice, metaphorically, but would you mind if I ask what kind of ice magic?"

The old lady had come back with the drinks the duo had ordered. Jeremy smiled at the tea he had ordered. It looked very well made, probably from the years of experience the cafe had of making tea. He recognized the scent and look of the tea as Jasmine tea, Jeremy's favorite. He took a sip before letting out a breath of satisfaction. The tea was amazing.

He kept sipping on the tea, letting the delicious drink flow in his mouth in small amounts. Each time he let the liquids go down his throat, it felt like he was ingesting the drinks of heaven, the taste was exquisite. Jeremy loved the tea, and decided to ask Snow, "So how's your lemonade, Snow?"

That's when Jeremy noticed a horde of old ladies and men go down the street. It looked quite strange, as seeing an army of old people stampeding wasn't a very common sight to see. So Jeremy, letting his curiosity get the better of him, took a large gulp of the tea, pulled out the necessary amount of cash to pay for the two drinks, and asked Snow, "You wanna check it out?"

As Snow inquired about this 'Empyrea International' it seemed that Jeremy was a little confused that Snow had never heard of it, however he soon explained that it was a type of academy divided into four houses that taught the use of magic. Snow nodded in understanding and swore he had read a book quite similar to that, something about a boy with a scar and some dark mage with no nose. Anyway, Snow was getting side tracked and soon Jeremy inquired a bit more about his magic. Chuckling lightly Snow replied in kind, "It's a special, rare type of Ice Magic. It's not exactly something to be shouting out or just telling people straight off the bat." He added a little smile before adding, "Though, I guess some people might shout about it."

A brief moment was paused as they drank their drinks or part of them, Jeremy having ordered tea it seemed. Jasmine tea by the smell of it. "Lemonades good, quite refreshing. How's the tea?" Snow responded and asked the boy as he had done so before, then of course came the rampaging old ladies and men down the street. Nodding with a grin Snow soon stood up after gulping down his lemonade and would walk outside whilst he waited for Jeremy to pay and leave the cafe as well. The large group starting to disappear down the street but could still be heard. Across the street however another old lady appeared out of the store and sighed, she speaking a bit loudly or rather to the people around her. "Must be that day again, every damn year ..." She seemed kind of sad but also disliked this particular day, the reasoning behind it was unclear for the moment.

"Hmm, I say we follow and see what all the fuss is about. It seems to be some sort of special day in the village, apparently." Snow would say to Jeremy as he appeared, he was going off of what the old woman had said about 'this particular day' signalling that it was some sort of special day in the village which could prove to be worth checking out.

Jeremy realized that even though he explained Empyrea, it didn't seem to ring any bells for his fellow mage. He sighed, he wasn't disappointed, just a bit sad that he wasted breath trying to explain something that Snow clearly know. Jeremy's eyebrow raised when Snow wouldn't give him a direct answer of what his magic was. Jeremy knew that he should respect Snow's secrecy, Jeremy of all people would know that better than most. He simply nodded respectfully at Snow's response and apologized, "Forgive me Snow, I think I stepped over the line. I understand if you want to keep your magic to yourself, trust me, I probably know better than most about keeping secrets."

When Snow had spout out another riddle about his magic, Jeremy simply chuckled in response. Something to do with shouting...Jeremy smiled for a few moments, letting the riddle settle in his system, Jeremy was to solve that riddle another time. Now was a time for relaxation, and drink tea. Snow had asked Jeremy how his tea was and he nodded in acknowledgement, "The tea is amazing, but then again, I've always been quite a sucker for this beverage. How about you, do you like tea?"

However, Jeremy and Snow's time to sip on their drinks in relaxation had to wait, for a stampede of old ladies and some old men were charging down the street, something you'd usually never see. Jeremy had overheard the old lady who ran the small shop muttering about how rambunctious and loud the day would be. And I came here for the peace and quiet...you've really got to be joking....please tell me this is some twisted joke so I can continue peacefully drinking my tea. But to Jeremy's disappointment, it was no joke, and large numbers of elderly were trudging down the street for an unknown reason.

As the duo walked out of the shop, they overheard more ladies complaining about today, this must've been that one day in the year where this quiet village became a chaotic hell. And Jeremy had to come here on that day...talk about timing. Jeremy observed the masses of old men and women going as fast as they can, they all seemed to be holding on to their wallets and/or purses. It had something to do with money. The only reason why there'd be so many of them having money could only mean one thing. Sale. (Insert Sail by AWOLnation here)

Jeremy patted Snow's shoulder to get his attention before saying, "Snow...I believe I may have guessed what this fuss is all about. But, just to make sure, let's travel to the source. I'll be following your lead if that's alright with you, but I think we should get going now."
