The World Ends With You Arc for FTG By popular demand, I introduce to everyone the FTG version of The World Ends With You Arc. Inspired by the same game, with some twists included. An arc of excitement, danger, and adventure awaits... Summary: Zachary and his friends wake up among the streets of the city of Chrocus, the busy capital of Fiore. But something is wrong... despite the busy streets, they are like ghosts to them. They pass right through people and they cannot be heard. Monsters soon sprout out and attack them, and their magic suddenly is gone. A nightmare, save for the mysterious message that appears before them. "Welcome to the Reapers' Game. Reach Crocus Square. You have 60 minutes. Fail and face erasure. The Reapers. ". A deadly game, with their lives on the line. Facing deadly monsters, and mysterious figures, the people trapped in this limbo of the city, must figure out how they got there and how to escape before they are 'erased' forever. Little do they know this seemly twisted game... has a strong effect on the world around them and could lead to a threat that puts the entire city at risk. You have 7 days... (Parts) Day 1-- Awaken Zachary and friends awaken, separately in the area of Chrocus. Separated. They soon realize something is amiss as the people of the busy city can't see them, or hear them like ghosts. However, they can hear their thoughts with the use of a mysterious black pin they suddenly have. A mysterious message pops in the air before them revealing a sort of game and a goal... which they would brush off ... till a timer appears on their hands. Reunited at the town square, they soon realize they are trapped in the city and soon are attacked by monsters called "Noise." Realizing they are together, however, they soon suddenly have their magic restored by the use of these pins. Confused and reunited, the timers soon disappear, but it leaves more questions than answers as they are now at the mercy of the Reapers themselves. Divided, the people involved must find one another. But a mysterious figure appears before them. Day 2--Ghosts The gang all reawakens again in the watery underpass of one of the districts. Realizing the mess they are all in, they agree they have to stay together as best as possible. Their new mission appears by the Reapers and the timers on their hands appear. To remove the curse from a statue somewhere in the city. They have to figure out how to remove the curse by using their pins. However when they do complete the mission, they soon are confronted by a reaper. She tells them that one of them was responsible for getting them all stuck in the game in the first place. Is what she says a lie, or will she trick the others to believe her lies and cause the group to suffer. Day 3-- Star They soon awaken on the third day in a dark staging area where a concert is supposed to be held. Their mission-- to defeat Master at the concert hall. Discovering they have to aid in getting the lights on in the dark staging area, they go out to find out how. As they leave however, they run into unlikely allies that is all but a strange person to discover there. Especially for Zachary as he knows the guy. In a twist of fate, they soon learn that their goals are intertwine, as they are not the only people trapped in this game, and others have already been erased. As they complete their mission, they only know it's gonna get rougher from that point out. Day 4-- Trap The odd events of an 'easy mission' leaves the group to a false sense of security. New friends are all too eager to kick back and take things easy. They simply need to make it to one location with no time limit. However, they soon walk into a trap, and the nature of the game becomes clearer... the collection of souls. Day 5-- Fragment Awaken after the scare from the last day, the gang soon arrives at the latest challenge. Finding an elusive Noise crowding around the town square. Unsettling truths are now revealed, as they attempt to solve the mission, the mysterious observer from before also gives them a mission. One that will shed truth to the events of the game... and their lives. Day 6-- Limbo A puzzle of a mission has baffled the team, asking them to open a bridge to reach a new sector of the city. After accomplishing the task, they find the mysterious stranger about to be attacked till they intervened. After some scolding and demanding, they finally learn what the man is, and why he is there. In short, they begin the plan to end the Reapers Game for good. Day 7:-- End. The final mission is to defeat the game master. However the truth is clear. Even if they defeat the game master, and go home with their souls in tact, the game will not stop. Other poor souls will be sucked in and forced to play to survive. Dedicated to a dangerous plan, they will separate. One team to complete the mission, the other to defeat the coordinator himself, and end the Reapers Game forever... and return to their own world. Pin System Rules: In this arc, there are special rules to add to the thrill that is "the world ends with you" arc. Just like the game, there are "Psyches" or pins. These basically will be essential for the arc and progress within it as followed. Rule 1: All magic of participants are now holder-types, used via pins that are collected during the events of the arc. Pins are distributed by the runner of the ark, namely me. Rule 2: At very start, no one will have their magic at the very start of the arc. Rule 3: When you receive a pin, you may assign skills to it as you see fit. These can be done in one of two ways: 1-- You may use your pre-existing magic, assigning a technique from your character along with its ranks to the given pin. All rules of duration, cooldown, and all other mechanics apply. One technique per pin. 2-- Also if you wish, using the pins listed from "TWEWY webpage-- Pin List" for reference to available psyches, for this arc only you may pick techniques used in the very game. However, in order to do this, you must create the technique over the theme of the pin, AND MUST include a web-link from where you found the pin. In addition, you also must supply details of the technique no different than anything done in FTG. For example; Shinobi: Rank ___-- Throws ninja stars, dealing ____ damage each- ____ damage overall. Cooldown____ posts. Range, number of stars. ext. Pin must be approved by me via pm before main post is accomplished. When you select a pin to use, you must create and post it in the arc post as a spoiler at the top of the page with the term "Pin Obtained". When you also start a new thread, you are to put in a spoiler the Pins you collected thus far. For full list of pins available, refer to this site :TWEWY webpage-- Pin List Rule 4: You may also mix and match techniques you own already with the pins from the game. However, you will NEVER have a technique pin that exceeds your current Magic rank. You will also NEVER have a number of pins that exceed the number of allowed TP you presently possess. So use your pins and TP wisely. Rule 5: Items and Pets are a bit complicated. With the exception to Exquipt magic, AKA Larkin involved, players if they want to use items they previously bought or Pets, they must use pins to use them. Example-- a pin containing your item, unlocks you to use your weapon/item again. For a pet, the pet can be around, but wouldn't be able to use its abilities unless you contribute its techniques to a pin. Utility powers do not count, such as flight if your creature has to fly to move around. For Exquipt mages, this rule does not apply to them, as they need a technique to summon their weapon anyway. Final Notes: There is no given order to who posts first. Its first come-first serve, but you can only post once within the rotation of the leader-- which in this case is me. This arc will be running on the 4 Day rule. From starting post, each person has up to 4 days to post. If they do not meet this deadline from the leader's post, THEY WILL BE SKIPPED. However, should you miss a post, you are not expelled from posting in the next rotation. You will be given credit involved, just likely not as much SP per thread. Thank you everyone for showing such great interest in this arc. I wish I could include all of you, but sadly only a limit of members can be selected. If you are interested to join, please reply with your character you want to include. "Give up on yourself...And you give up on the world."
