Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

This is exactly like every other guild idea bank that has been made in the past, like, week or so. But for Quatro Cerberus, which obviously would make this whole thing quite different from the other guild idea bank threads. We get to be all mercenary/assassin/guild like without suffering nearly as much repercussions.

Because we're Quatro Cerberus. We're a collection of mages, fighters, soldiers. Be it that our members were once assassins, killers, mercenaries, bodyguards, high-born nobles joining for whatever cause, peasant boys joining for a chance at glory and power. We're the neutral guild of Fiore, we do the dirty work for the government when the Knight's can't, and we get paid for it. We fight for one client on the first day, and we change clients the second due to a change in employers. We use magic as a tool, we view our fellow members as a team. We can do so, so much with this, and have so much gloriously bloody fun.

So come. Let the ideas flow. Be it for Quatro Cerberus Arcs that cover major events that shift the very being of the guild Quatro Cerberus, nestled away in the depths of Tessera. Be it missions, centered around the ideals and themes and plot of Quatro Cerberus itself. Be it Quatro Cerberus member events, in which the members of this gloriously mercenarial guild band together and perform tasks as one.

Let's just do something for once. Something awesome.

Ideas

  • Doing the dirty, illegal work for the Knights of Fiore, as there is a reason we're a Neutral Guild that's actually accepted by the government. Think Black Ops, off-the-record stuff. Submitted ideas have included the submission/termination of various armed bodies that are potentially a thread to the current way Fiore is run. People wishing to start a war or organize an armed uprising and such.

  • Mission Impossible: Quatro Cerberus

  • Exploring the Guild Catacombs (refer to the guild info page for details about this), exploring the deeper areas of Tessera, our home turf.

  • Responding to direct acts of violence/threats against Quatro Cerberus itself a la organized violence.

  • Similar to an idea I had. Since QC is pretty much a 'mercernary for hire' guild, we could do something like this. A job that's pretty simple at first, basically a group of QC Mages being bodyguards, helping the Knights of Fiore with some transportation of goods. Though it turns out the KoF Squad is bent, and are transporting 'illegal goods' - not like what RT would transport but stuff that the KoF would be like "this needs to go in that high-security musem" sorta thing. Thus QC, learning of this and being there at the time soon decide to put a stop to this rouge squad of Knights.

    And so begins an arc.

The idea being that the QC Squad starts off as the 'neutral' side, being the bodyguards, but then is like "Hell no, we ain't getting caught up in this shit, you rogues are going down".(Credits to Snow)

  • We can do an arc where we're hired by some rich person to look for treasure, but it turns out that we're being tricked into sabotaging the clients competitors, and because that wasn't what we were hired to do we decide to get back at him.
    (Credits to Iskandar)

  • Maybe the KoF, don't want to dirty there hands with rescuing their own spies from enemy hands, so we're hired to do the dirty work, or the government wants a certain person to disappear because they've learned too much. (Credits to Iskandar)

Pack Hunters Arc

Arc Overview: When a potential recruit for Quatro Cerberus arrives at the Guild's doorsteps, giving the man a fair trial to judge his worth only seems, well, fair. But when an assignment given by a higher-ranking member which turns out to be a job for the Knights of Fiore interrupts the trial, the group relocates the test to the unmapped labyrinthine ruins that sprawl beneath the city surface of Tessera.
But things never go as planned; not for the Wolves, and certainly never for the recruit. When a seemingly routine search-and-recover task goes awry and accusations are thrown about, the Wolves find themselves fighting for the innocence, and the truth, against one of the mightiest fighting forces in all of Fiore.
Will the Wolves prevail, will the recruit join the ranks of Quatro Cerberus, and will the guilty be brought to justice? Or will the truth be forever shrouded under the darkness of deceit and corruption?
A Pack of Wolves: When Daisuke Gekkou arrives at the doorsteps of Quatro Cerberus, he is greeted by more than one member of the guild. Voicing his honest intentions to join the ranks of Cerberus, a trial is suggested in order to test his mettle. However, before the trial is started, an urgent assignment, given by a higher-ranking Guild Mage, interrupts the affair, and forces the trial to be kept on hold.
Or that's what is assumed, until the assignment is revealed to be one given by the Knights of Fiore; a rather common and generic affair to traverse the underground catacombs and labyrinthine ruins, treading territory that has yet been mapped in order to recover a priceless artifact with ties to the creation of Fiore. Perfect for testing a potential recruit. Gearing up, the Pack sets out, Daisuke in tow, in search for treasure, glory, and acceptance.

Roaming in the Deep: Journeying through uncharted territory, the Pack and the recruit rely on their wits, their experience, and their strengths to cover one another, and see everyone through the ordeal down under the surface of Tessera safely. Trespassing traps, solving puzzles, and defeating hordes of terrors that lurk in the deeps, the party successfully locates the artifact and retrieves it, making their way back to the surface and hands it over to the squad of Knights that had, rather surprisingly, been waiting right at the entrance for the artifact.

No Rest for the Wicked: Naught but a while later, back within the recesses of the Quatro Cerberus Guild Hall, celebrations have been justified for Daisuke's successful initiation into the Wolves, becoming part of the Pack.
However, there's no rest for the wicked or the wrongfully accused, as the party is informed that the artifact they had retrieved and handed over was, in reality, "stolen" from the Knights of Fiore by the party. Explaining, they untangle the web of accusations and misled assumptions, until the Knights of Fiore pay a visit, in force, to the guild, ready to arrest the whole lot of them.
Once again explaining the situation, the party manages to prove their innocence, on the basis that they bring the true masterminds of the theft to light. With the possibility of serving time resting on their shoulders, the Pack sets out once more, to hunt those who are now the hunted.

Hunters and the Hunted:The Pack tracks down the squad of corrupt Knights, giving chase as the climax of the story draws closer. Tempers flair, words are exchanged, along with certain blows, and a few-years worth of life are put on the line as the Pack fights for bringing truth to the light.

why has none of the QC members spoken yet? I mean really people there are a tone of you in here and yet you say nothing? Ashamed of you!

So as for thoughts on what to do with this guild I am still trying to think of something. What could we even do guys? What could the guild do?!

Oh I know why not some dirty work for those knights? Like taking out a group of people that mean to start a war but are politically rooted in the kingdom? Not saying we are going to be killing them but possibly threatening them and making them piss their pants?

Or what about we go with themes like Mission Impossible? since you know that everyone else is doing movie theme things...

Eh, I just think it's that this thread got swamped and stuff :(

Doing dirty work for the Knights does sound like something that QC could potentially do as a guild thread/arc thing.

Also, we could totally explore the unexplored nether regions of Tessera, or perhaps investigate the catacombs/mysterious nether regions of the guild hall itself.

We could also copy imitate the other ideas of having an entity that directly threatens Quatro Cerberus. They could attack the guild mages or something, and we could totally retaliate. Or perhaps there simply is another organization that is trying to steal Quatro Cerberus's business, or is interfering with our missions, and we put an end to that?

Exploring what lies under our city would actually be rather interesting. No one has bothered to yet...or at least not that I know of. Plus no other guild has that so bonus achieved.

And someone stealing our thunder? Who in their right mind would want to do that...? Regardless if someone DID do that we could totally go beat them up.

And yeah there are just some things that the Knights can't do that need to get done. We are "dogs" after all. Why not start acting like Fiore's attack dogs for a change?

I love the idea Snow. This totally is something QC would do. Sure we are people for hire but we're not going to get caught up in THAT kind of business and so thus you are going to feel the furry of QC

It's like the only members with active characters in this guild are staff, everyone else isn't as interested because they have their secondary characters join. Or am I just making false assumptions?

Anyway, I'll be joining as soon as my mod is finished, so I I'll go ahead and contribute if you guys don't mind.

There are pretty much two types of threads we can do when it comes to guilds, guild related and guild member related. So we can do stories that have a general guild feel to them like you guys suggested, but we can also make it so that other giuld members join character arcs. I mean it something you come to expect, when you're part of a guild then your comrades should have your back. I'll elaborate more.

Events: These aren't really so much like stories as they gatherings, where guild members come to meet each other and maybe celebrate something. These kinds of threads can be made after a mission well done, or after an epic story arc that the guild was involved in, or it could be a simple holiday special. I don't thing we have to strictly stick to site event (unless of course there are extra rewards). Though with site events like the Halloween event last month, it could be made to have guild members gather.

Arcs: Staying with the theme of the guild (being like Snow just said 'mercenary for hire') there are lots of possible arcs that can be started, I think snow was spot on with his idea. Though there still a lot of flexibility with being a guild, and really being a 'neutral' guild also gives us a bigger range of possible stories to explore, like the corrupt cops Snow suggested. We can do an arc where we're hired by some rich person to look for treasure, but it turns out that we're being tricked into sabotaging the clients competitors, and because that wasn't what we were hired to do we decide to get back at him.

Missions: Maybe the KoF, don't want to dirty there hands with rescuing their own spies from enemy hands, so we're hired to do the dirty work, or the government wants a certain person to disappear because they've learned too much.

Anyway, that's all of got for now. But I want to emphasize on the fact that we should have guild members join character arcs, or they should at least get some kind of priority. I mean in sure, in the end character arcs aren't necessarily linked to the guild, but guild members should support one another.

Events wouldn't work out, we've talked about guild events and they've sort of happened - more so one Guild hosts an event. At most this would just be a normal thread.

Arcs & Missions
- Both plausible.

YES. Activity!
Non-Guild members are also welcome to post in this thread if they so wish, as long as they have nice plausible ideas and such :D

Yeah...most people that have their mages in here really are their second or third or fourth mage (aka not first ad most important)

However I agree with Snow on this. Both the Arcs and the Missions would be possible. Events just kind of happen. So do we want to start thinking up a few Arc/Mission ideas that members can join?
