Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

"You're a fine one to talk - from what I can tell, you're not as committed to your cause as you think. You friend Blitz isn't attacking me, but you've been launching spells non-stop...perhaps to shut me up?" A shadowy ball of energy began forming over Zachary's head. "My point seems proven." The Vanguard glanced up, the spike in its chest pointing at the celestial mage. "Orb of Revenge!" A purple orb with silvery designs shot from the spike at Zachary - only to be slapped aside by a giant metal fist. The iron soldier was now in play. Tarvos' eyes narrowed. "More interference. You, of all people, should be able to see why lawbreakers should be punished. You've knocked heads of many a villain." Blitz snorted, skeptical. "You expect me to be as heavy-handed on lawbreakers as I was on your attack? Fairy Tail mages specialize in property damage - Lawholders aren't particularly fond of me being near them in the first place." Blitz slugged his other fist into Tarvos, pinning her to the wall once again before the fist drew back from her form.

Blitz was acting on defense and his quick thinking spared Zachary from a dangerous blow. He would of moved but was saved in time. Now the orb in his arms began to grow smaller and with it, condense stronger in form.

Darkness beyond twilight, glimmer of the stars
Beast among the starry sky.
Let your strength join with mine,
and let us walk the path of destruction together.

The incantation in his mind echoed as the sphere finally grew to size. The black, surging sphere of night sky became the size of a ball contained within Zachary's hand, held in a perfect sphere as it spun around and around. The air continued to whoosh and whine as he held it, hovering in the air as he did so.

The moment Blitz made the opening, Zachary took action. Using Meteor, he flew and darted through the air, and soon found his opening! He flew like a shooting star across the room, moving fast to reach his mark-- right behind Tarvos. He was now poised, the sphere behind him as he was prepared for attack.

"Draco Meteor!!!" Zachary shouted, and with his hand holding the spell, thrust the sphere right directly into Tarvos at point blank range. (RASENGAN! :P)

The force of the sphere was almost like being shot with a cannon ball almost, as the force of the condensed spell made the power more focused and contained to that single point. If Tarvos took it, it would deal very heavy damage.

Blitz watched with a sigh as Zachary charged up his new spell, the Draco Meteor. He couldn't very well launch an attack of his own now - given the strength of his own spells, it would only show up Zachary, not to mention that they weren't the best moves in a place like down here in the tunnels, where space was limited, though not cramped. He could improve it a bit, though. Blitz waved a hand at the forming Meteor with his Upgrade spell, upgrading it with an azure shield that spiraled around it in time with the effect itself, and increasing the meteor's destructive power, and he also added his Shrapnel to it, making it swirl along the edges of the meteor so that it looked like a milky way galaxy with a dark core and metallic swirls instead of light. That did make Blitz realize that this was really the first spell he'd seen from Zachary that didn't use light as a medium to attack his target. Looked like his spellwork was beginning to branch out.

The combo spell slammed into the Vanguard and set off an explosion that cracked the walls even further, shards of pink scattering off to the sides. As the smoke cleared, large chunks of the two wings were missing, and the main body of Tarvos was cracked in various places, and the Vanguard was breathing heavily. Or the Vanguard equivalent. "That you don't see the need for this....is truly disappointing." said Tarvos in a low tone.

Zachary made the impact, but what surprised him greatly was the fact that Blitz included his own magic into the power of the spell, causing a spiraling ring of sharp metal shards around the sphere of starry energy as if it was the ring to a planet. A combination attack that amazed Zachary.

As the blast hit, Zachary flew down quickly to the ground near Blitz and looked up at the Vanguard. His flight spell suddenly faded, the duration time he had over. Zachary was genuinely surprised just how powerful the damage of the two spells together were, as it had cracked the very walls around from the sheer aftermath. Zachary looked to BLitz in amazement, not knowing either of them could produce something so powerful.

The enemy, after the smoke cleared looked to see cracks along its features, and in fact it was severely damaged. "I wish to see eye to eye with you, but we both value something truly different..." Zachary stated, trying hard to not feel sorry for Tarvos. It was a painful struggle for him.

"Blitz, will you do the honors?" Zachary said, offering him to give the final blow. There was no other choice, he told himself. The vanguards wanted to replace humans, but it was because of their flaws that allowed them to grow into better beings. Vengeance and hate solved nothing.

Blitz looked on at the severely damaged Tarvos. It was clear the Vanguard was done. Even if it wasn't finished, it was too damaged to post a threat to either of them. Even Shoop could probably finish her off now, in her current condition. Tarvos's chest heaved as she slouched a little down the wall, a small rain of pink shards breaking off of her wings and tinkling against the stone floor of the room like tiny pieces of glass as she let out a cough. "Indeed we do, star mage. You value every random passerby while I value the world as a whole. You sacrifice me to save a thousand criminals." Tarvos looked back up at Blitz. "Well? Do it already. You clearly are beyond convincing, your friend even more so. There's no point in me talking any further. This conversation is over." Blitz nodded. "As you wish." Blitz summoned up another wave of shrapnel, forming it into a somewhat-shapeless wave over his head. "Actually, a word of advice before you go." Blitz glanced down at the Vanguard, an eyebrow raised. "With me gone, you'll have 7 Vanguard victories under your belt so far, and one of us left to go. But the final Vanguard is very different from the others. Not just in strength, either. But you'll see what I mean when you see him." She laughed hoarsely. "You'll all see when you face Corbenik the Rebirth." Blitz's eyes narrowed, but he wordlessly gestured forward, the shrapnel wave crashing over the Vanguard, the pink form quickly vanishing from sight under the waves of metal, which were still after a few moments. Blitz snapped his fingers, and all the metal vanished at once, and the Vanguard with it.

As Tarvos vanished under the assault of razor sharp metal shards, Zachary felt some regret. He knew very well this monster needed to be defeated but what she said was half true. The world as a whole... and Zachary felt guilty again. He tried to fight it but he was still sad to see her destroyed. A tear came to his eye but he didn't notice it.

As the fight would slowly reach its climax, Zachary calmed his magic energy. There was nothing else he could do at that point and soon turned to the hat Shoop and Jirachi on top of him.

Wordlessly, he reached his little star friend, picked him up and held him, giving him a hug. Huggies! Jirachi chirped but was still confused by Zachary's sad look. Zachawy okay?

Zachary nodded at Jirachi's question, not answering verbally as he awaited for Blitz to finish.

Blitz glanced at his wrist expectantly, waiting for the new information to flow over from where the Vanguard had vanished. After a few moments, a cloud of small pink dust rose up and floated over towards Blitz's wrist, but vanished halfway there. "The hell?" Blitz muttered aloud. He walked over to the wall Tarvos had fallen against, touching the cracks in the wall from the earlier attacks by brushing his fingers over them. "This isn't right." He glanced back at his wrist, pulling up the screen himself. "In the past, we always got info about the next Vanguard when the one before it was smashed to pieces. Sure, sometimes the info was sketchy, like with Macha, or somewhat unclear, like it was when we got the dual signals from Gorre, but we always got something, at least a location. But this time....nothing. Not a spark. I've got no idea where the final Vanguard is located." Blitz stood up and turned back around, walking towards Zachary. "We need some answers. Let's go find Deda - I don't think she followed us into the tunnel system. Let's get back above ground."

After he comforted Jirachi, Zachary turned to Blitz as he investigated his screen. Apparently the location he got for the next vanguard... was non-exsistant. "What? What do you mean its not showing up at all?" He responded rhetorically. He held Jirachi in his arms, where the star creature looked at Blitz with blissful ignorance and just cocked his head.

After listening to BLitz's explanation, Zachary wondered why that was. Even with the more scattered information from Gorre, Macha and even Fidchell, they did get some lead, but now they were blank in the dark. There was no further leads. So where could their final target be?

"You don't think its over... no it couldn't be. Wishful thinking. She said there was one more, and we both know its Corbenik. But why wouldn't he show up?" he asked, and then the topic came to ask Deda.

Yay! Yay, lets find Deda! Jirachi chirped, all too happy to find his little pet-crush.

As they proceeded onward, Zachary couldn't help but wonder... Wait... Deda has been vanishing all so often when we fight these things... Could she be more involved than she said she was? Naw.. It couldn't be. But could she be the final one too? Zachary's heart sanked a bit at that internal thought. His mind was running with theories as to how all of this was possible.

Blitz nodded. "Yep, not a blip. No intel at all. We'll have to ask Deda when we get back to the surface." Blitz led the way back down the tunnel, then taking a right to go back up the stairs they'd marched down in the first place, exiting through the rusted, broken gate back into the sunlight. "Deda?" Blitz called. Deda came floating out from behind one of the buildings. "I'm guessing the battle with the seventh Vanguard, Tarvos the Avenger, went well?" Blitz nodded. "We defeated it, but there's a problem. There was no information given when I defeated Tarvos, no intel on Corbenik at all. Not even a location. We've got no leads on where to go from here." Deda looked down, as if guilty. "Actually....we do. The final Vanguard's task was altered to be 'guarding the master'. The new one, anyway. So we can find the final Vanguard, Corbenik, the same place as the new Master - the old headquarters." "You mean you knew the location of the headquarters the entire time? Why didn't you just tell us and save us the trouble of smashing through all of his Vanguards?" "I couldn't risk it - if you attacked the headquarters before all the Vanguards were dealt with, they would have rushed back to the headquarters to defend it, and even you'd have trouble dealing with every Vanguard at once." Blitz nodded reluctantly. "Admittedly with eight there at once, it could get rather difficult to handle. So where is this base, anyway?" Deda nodded. "I'll lead you there. Follow me." Deda turned and began floating away - with Blitz right behind her as they headed off to the main headquarters.

As they emerged from the tunnels, Deda greeted them. Zachary was now wondering just what was going on, verging on suspicion in the seemingly innocent girl in white ... that was till Jirachi squirmed out of his grip.

Deda! Huggies! Jirachi chirped and went flying into her arms, and nuzzled her lovingly. Zachary's desire to speak frankly and speak his blind following of the mysterious girl was now short-fused thanks to Jirachi's crush. He just sighed, letting it go for now.

Now that Blitz brought up the topic and the big question, Deda responded-- knowing where the enemy was AND why she didn't say where it was up till that point. It was hard enough to fight one vanguard, and then if they did target the main leader early, all of them would of converged. It was unbearable to fight one-- impossible to fight them all at once. Suicide.

Realizing the end was in sight, but also the hardest part as well, Zachary swallowed his doubts. His logic was not going to shut up but the sooner they ended this terror, the sooner things could go back to normal. Then they were off to fight the final 8th of the Vanguards. Corbenik-- the Rebirth.
