Panzer didn’t a single god forsaken damn if Riven had any problems with him accompanying her on this walk or not, he was going to do it and ensure her protection no matter what she said or did; he had good reason to after that annoying mostly chaotic incident from a couple of weeks ago when Riven had her property stolen and was then blackmailed into wearing that bunny rabbit suit. Ah that was the also the day Riven and Panzer had first meet each other and since then, Riven had actually gotten closer to Panzer then most other people he encountered did but, that was most likely as a result of the similar viewpoints the pair had on different subjects. Walking out through the door after Riven went through it Panzer allowed it to slam shut behind him not even the slightest bit annoyed or disturbed by the noise made from the door slamming behind him. As the pair marched through the streets of this town the two of them remained in silence until, Riven asked about their little dinner date from a few weeks back; god damn it. Panzer had been trying to forget that experience but, now that she had asked he couldn’t help but think back to the date. As his unofficial fem fatale had inquired about the date, he thought back trying to remember what had happened during the dinner as well as the events that followed after. And he suddenly had a burst of memory remembering how he was tricked into getting drunk by that waiter and…. Oh god… he remembered how she had kissed and about hugging her while he was asleep; by the god damn sodding maker…… his face flushed up with blood taking on a red shade in the form of a blush altering the colouring of his cheeks; he had no idea of the blush upon his face, if he did Panzer would have hidden it beneath his helmet as to prevent opening himself up to being joked about or made fun of. “Yes…I do remember… you kissed me….” he huffed after he said that not looking back at her and with good reason, he didn’t want to let her see his blush despite the back he couldn’t feel anything related to it apart from the warmth he was feeling from his cheeks. Apart from this though, Panzer was still thinking about how the two of them would find a place for Panzer to live in, that wasn’t the barracks. It was pretty obvious that to find him a place of residence they would just have to look and ask around but, Panzer had no clue in hell where the two of them should start looking; he had never ever had to actually look for his own place of residence before, it had always been provided for him by his parents and by his slave driving master after Panzer was kidnapped as a child. |

Panzer So he had remembered things from that night... Well that's good I guess? Riven listened to Panzer as he hesitantly mentioned that kissing scene that happened when both of them had drunkenly wandered into her place. Of course, he said that she had kissed him which was partially true but... "So you don't remember you doing that first, typical," What happened that night was still a bit blurry but she was sitting down on the couch and he came over but tripped somehow and fell down on her, and since she was out of it, she just went along with it before leaving for sleep. He might have remembered it but dismissed it due to denial but that was the truth and that was that. She didn't inquiry any further since she didn't want things getting a bit embarrassing. "You're turning red by the way." Despite this being somewhat of a morning break-patrol walk, they were also on a little hunt to find a place for Panzer to call him own... For now or for ever. They would probably seek for a small, one-bedroom condo that wasn't too far from the barracks and was in a fairly low-crime area so he wouldn't get paranoid by the lack of security. Perhaps somewhere near her place? It was generally untouched by robbers and such due to the large population of knights that have decided to reside there, making it an unfavorable place to rob or cause trouble. Riven led them to her neighborhood where 6 story buildings lined the area, some were new and other's seemed old and run-downed. Every one of the condo's had an open-house sign hanging out in front of their doors. "Come on," Riven walked to the nearest building and looked for the room up for rent. They entered, "Well..?" |

WAIT, he…KISSED HER FIRST?! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT MADNESS?! She had to be lying, she had to be, no way would he ever sink so low to actually kiss her; Not that Riven wasn’t an attractive person or anything but, Panzer was not the type who would ever feel any romantic attachment to anybody, not ever in a million years. Growling in anger at himself for having actually kissed Riven, Panzer just put his helmet back over his head to try and hide away from the world, that may be cowardly but, despite Panzer’s bravery upon the field of battle, going up against his emotions was something that he had always struggled with thought his life. His anger was only further provoked by the fact that Riven had indeed noticed his face was blushing, even if he wasn’t even aware of the fact that he had been blushing in the first place. “I don’t believe you…” he continued to walk through the streets alongside Riven still denying what she had apparently informed as fact about him kissing her in the first place. Still following her through the streets Panzer was still thinking about A.The kissing incident and B. Where Riven was planning to take him so he could pick out a place for him to say but, judging from the direction the two of them where walking Panzer could safely assume that it was in the same district of town as Riven’s house and with good reason; that district of town had always had significantly greater security then the rest of this town. “Why are we heading to the part of town you live in?..” he asked rather confused about why she had led him to this section of town which was understandable, Panzer wasn’t exactly able to read people’s minds after all. His answer was soon questioned when Riven entered a building that apparently had rooms for renting inside of it and, as she had indicated that she wished for him to follow after Panzer walked in behind her shutting the door behind him. Taking into account the fact this area was town was where Riven lived and, the fact that this building had a “for rent” sign outside Panzer made the obvious connection that she was bringing him here in order to try and find him a place to stay at, or at least one to try living in that didn’t involve him slumming it with the other knights inside of the sleeping quarters back at the knights barracks. |

Riven shrugged in response to his, it was the truth and denying it was completely his choice and didn't affect her in any way. "It's one of the safer parts of town since most knights live here," she answered his question. She had noticed Panzer's paranoia of not feeling secured from noticing the way he dressed all the time, full-body armor on regular days and a chainmail vest on special occasions. Only those daring enough to face a small army of knights would wander into the neighborhood to commit some stupid crime such as stealing or vandalizing property. It would hopefully be a good fit for him since he didn't have to watch his back every second in case there were any wayward person who was gonna get at him. The room they entered was like her room in terms of capacity and flooring area but the organization and placement was a tad bit off. It was a one-bedroom place with the bed being behind the door off to the far left corner where there was a visible bed snuggled against the corner. The room they currently were in was like the border between living room territory and kitchen territory, the former being on the left and the latter on the right of them. There was two windows in the back with a flower decor to keep things green and lively, and there was another one in the bedroom with red roses. Riven wandered into the bedroom in hopes of finding a restroom but there was none. Turned out that it was the door across from it through the living room. "I did say that we were going to look for a place for you," Riven walked back to the living room and sat on the couch that was already provided. From what she had seen, the room provided a bed, a closet, a couch, a small table, a seemingly complete bathroom, and a kitchen--not bad. "What do you think?" |

Ahahahahahahaha. Safe she said? Oh please, regardless of the fact numerous knights live in this part of town and the fact it had a very clean record when it came to crime Panzer knew it wasn’t truly safe; Nowhere really was safe, not this town, not this building, not this part of it nor even the deep dark recess of his own mind, especially not his own mind. Oh well, despite the apparent lack of true security this apartment and its respective section of the town possessed, said apartment was acceptable by Panzer’s standards as he cared not for visual appearances or aesthetics. What he did care for though, would be all the required areas that he would use to live comfortable which this apartment had except for one thing, a spare room he could use to store his armour and weapons in as well as anything else he might one day bring home from work; on that note perhaps a room to serve as an office would also be useful? Returning his attention to Riven Panzer nodded abruptly before speaking. “Apart from an office and a room to store my equipment in this apartment would be suitable. Do you know of a place with two empty rooms?” The reason why he wanted an armour was obvious but, what may be less obvious was his reason for wanting an office; said reason for wanting an officer or a study was so he could work from home if the situation ever came up and yes, he was the work at home type. If he could find a place with a study and a place to store his equipment in addition to things like a kitchen and bedroom then yes, Panzer would indeed be content with living in a location like that but, that in turn caused doubts to well up inside of him, mainly about security. To try and satisfy his almost ridiculous amounts of paranoia Panzer was going to install some sort of home defence system as well as some very good locks for the doors and windows; perhaps he should also have reinforced doors and reinforced window shutters at that. Was he being overly cautious? No, of course he wasn’t, these might not be things your average person would install in their home but, Panzer was no average person by any small means; he was a knight and as such had enemies, enemies who would want to take revenge on him for busting them and throwing them in jail. It was the people like that Panzer was paranoid and downright afraid off as well as some other people; specifically those from his own world. If he came here than others from his own world could as well right? |

"Dunno, have to look around a bit," Riven sighed a small sigh in frustration and annoyance. Wardrobes were invented for storage of anything from toys to pets to secrets to clothes and last time she checked, armor fell under the clothing category and swords were filed as toys. Tables were made to carry things and they're flat so a person could easily write on top of them; paperwork could definitely be done on top of the one that was provided in the living room. This was a facepalm moment but a home should be a place where a person is happy and if Panzer wanted another damn room for storage and what-not, fine. Though if he was that picky with things, this was going to be one hell of a day for her. With their first one being a bust, Riven walked out of the building and tried the one next to it. The layout was much more nicer and prestine than the one she had just came out of; a rather good attraction for anyone who was interested in a room. There was a room on the 5th story of the apartment which was a considerable walk-up the stairs but it was a brilliant workout and warm-up for someone who's active or even inactive. The lobby was well decorated and the halls were quite wide to minimize the noise that could be heard from neighbors; the only thing that could make this perfect was if the room up for rent had 2 rooms. Well, at least she was about to find out as the room was just in front of her with wide open doors. This room was a bit different since there was actually a small hall when Riven walked in with closets as walls--well there's the storage. After the entrance the layout was the same as the previous: kitchen to the right and living room to the left with a chair, couch, coffee table, refrigerator, stove, and cabinets. There were two closed doors after that, hiding the identities of them. She walked over and opened one to find herself looking at a bedroom with a bed and another door to the right: it led to the bathroom. "What about this one?" Riven asked as she opened the last door to find another bedroom. "Two bedrooms and a storage in the front." |

Not caring about (or even noticing) Riven’s sigh, Panzer followed her out of this building and into the next apartment that she had lined up as a potential place for Panzer to live in. On the way he wondered if he was being unreasonable in his requests but nah…he might be being nit-picky about it but unreasonable? That was doubtful on account of the good reasons that he had for wanting those things inside his home. Regardless, the long flight of stairs up to the fifth floor of the apartment where no bother to him, he was a knight and as such expected to be in peak physical condition; these stairs would assist him in maintaining that physical condition. The hall ways of the apartment block where quiet and rather wide which would allow him plenty of space to get through them, not because he was fat or wide but, just in case there was large crowds; armour and large crowds didn’t exactly help that much. Despite it being the middle of the day the hall ways where rather silent which was good, he hated having his peace disturbed during the middle of his days off. Following the leading female before him inside the apartment that she had lead him too, Panzer’s initial thoughts about the place where positive ones, it was mostly identical to the previous apartment accept with wardrobes acting as pseudo walls for the main hallway and, a spare bedroom which Panzer could easily convert into an office or keep it as a spare bedroom if he needed. Yes, yes, this apartment would do nicely thanks to it having everything he would require. Panzer returned from his tour around the apartment to Riven so he could answer her question. “This one shall do fine. Do you know of the rental price?” he asked her for the obviously important and deciding factor of the price, wouldn’t do him any good if he couldn’t afford to stay here on a monthly basis of course. Despite how he acted, and the fact he wouldn’t share the information about his gratitude for her assistance, Panzer was indeed grateful for Riven’s assistance in this housing matter. He might not be mister polite man of manners, but he was still grateful for her none the less. |

Maybe he was as nick-picky as Riven had thought he was as he found their second room to be suitable for his everyday needs. If he he needed any help moving furniture, she would gladly lend a hand especially with the extra bed he had. Now what was the rent... The thought of money had just processed into her brain and so did it to Panzer's. Knights generally stayed for cheaper than what was advertised as a thank you for keeping the general area safer than others. "There's no sign, seems like we have to go to the manager's room in the lobby," Riven guessed once affirming that the housing cost wasn't present. She left the room and trotted down the flights of stairs until it ended at their general destination. There was an arrow pointing them to the office where a rather rotund man was seen lounging around in his rolling armchair. "Excuse me Mr. Bakame," Riven took notice of the fallen name plate he had on his cluttered desk. "Do you have the price listing for room 373?" The balding man took a spin around his chair before turning his attention towards her, "Yes yes... It should be here somewhere... Please wait a minute, as you can see how slightly disorganized I am... It should be here..." The manager lifted papers after folders, throwing some to the trash bin—missing the shots—while others were slid off to the side for sorting... Whenever that'll be. "Uhh it's here somewhere... I know it's here... How many rooms and what floor is it on? It'll help..." He said meekly. "5th floor and it's a 2 room," Riven answered quietly, letting loose a steam of impatience. The building was fine but when it came down to the one in charge... "Ah... This might be—no... Oh! Here it is! Room 373!" Mr. Bakame held up the paper in triumph. "It is 350, 000 jewels for regular citizens but 300, 000 for knights a month... Electric and water bill included." |

Annoyingly, there was no sign or documentation inside or nearby the apartment that could inform himself or Riven what the weekly price was meaning, they would have to walk all the way to the person in charge of rentals and selling of property for this apartment block. Gurgh, another damn long walk….. if Panzer was a lesser man physical, this walking up and down so many flights of stairs may start to drain a person’s stamina but, Panzer was able to grit his teeth and bear it refusing to let show any sign of real exhaustion. Following Riven’s lead Panzer walked all the way downstairs to the lobby and then to the manager’s office which contained a rather rotund and fat looking man sitting in a chair being lazy. Lazy piece of work this manager was huh? Instead of sitting around in his chair perhaps he should organize the MESS of paper work strewn across his desk, if Panzer worked in this office no way would he allow such a disorganized horror to exist; disorganization never got anyone anywhere after all, it was why this “Mr.Bakame” couldn’t find the important information of that apartments rent. Useless disorganized fat layabout.. HURRY UP ALREADY FOR CHRIST SAKE. Now Panzer was getting annoyed.. very, very annoyed. Growling slightly in annoyance at the stupid slow and bumbling manager, Panzer was starting to get impatient; he shouldn’t have to wait this damn long for the manager to find the rental price. God, if this was the manager who was in charge of Panzer’s building he was just going to utterly bypass Mr.Bakame and do things himself, at least then they would all get sorted out in a decent amount of time instead of waiting for this bumbling fool. “Hurry up” Panzer urged Mr.Bakame to try and get him to hurry up; call Panzer impatient but he had important things to do and, seeing as how he wasn’t even supposed to be here due to being on duty, the two knights would need to hurry up and get back to work before their commanding officer got suspicious. Finally, the bumbling oaf of a manager had found the required information, about damn time. The price for the apartment was expensive to say the least but, it included water and electricity as well as a discount so it could be worse. “That will suffice. Where do I sign?” he waited for the oaf of a manager to indicated where Panzer had to sign so he could get back to the very important business of being a knight. "Ah yes, yes... Let me get the form for you sir, please be patient..." Mr. Bakame shifted through the papers that were messily laid out on his desk again. he began muttering to himself about which papers were needed and which one could be thrown away as he came across them. After creating a bigger mess, he stopped going through the papers and looked up at the ceiling before spinning 180 degrees to go through his file cabinets. Riven peered from where she stood and saw that the papers in there were well organized and labeled to some extent as a few seemed to have been stuffed in. fingering through the tabs, he stopped at 'Ownership' and pulled out a 3 page form. Then he took out a pen and began to expertly fill out the empty sections with ease—he was better than Panzer at this. The man showed Panzer where the dotted signature line was at the end of the paper. "Print your name then sign below please," But he had an authoritative tone in his voice. Riven was quite impressed with the change in the manager: from an untidy, nervous swine to a confident business man. Traits really do balance each other out don't they? Once Panzer's signature was aquired, the man looked over it a second time and finally signed it himself and stamped it before filing it under the tab '5th Floor.' "Here's your key, Mr. Dietrich Panzer Eckert. Please find me if you have any questions or needs," he smiled kindly, stood up, and offered a hand which coincidently held the keys; he was forcing Panzer to shake his hand. Smartass... Riven silently complimented the man before stepping out. |
