After the chaotic and utterly disastrous incident of the dinner with Riven, Panzer had been going through a little bit of bother because, on account of being drunk he hadn’t remembered many facts about that night except waking up with Riven on top of him and oh, the really annoying incident of Riven kissing him not that he cared much as it meant nothing to him what so ever. Currently though, Panzer had decided he was going to accompany Riven to the barracks with him, mainly due to Riven being one of the few sodding people that didn’t piss him off endlessly. She was a very skilled and reliable member of the knight who hadn’t disappointed or let him down on account of her own actions although, when she got drunk oh god, she was unbearable when she was drunk, Panzer had learned that via a prolonged series of annoying and very frustrating event. Remembering the location of her apartment from the previous weeks, Panzer walked forward and knocked on the door with his armoured fist which created a loud easy to hear sound of metal banging on her door.

He looked around the streets waiting patiently for Riven he took notice of some of the common sights you saw around Oshibana town; parents with children, children and teenagers running about hanging out with their friends, merchants and other business men rushing about to their places of work which was all well and good but, Panzer questioned how many of them where actually law abiding citizens; he was a knight after all and as such dealt with some of the worse members of this town meaning he was fully aware of that this mostly peaceful town had a rather dirty underground side to it. Regardless though, he returned his attention to waiting for Riven to answer the door, he wished she would bloody hurry up, he was getting impatient and at this rate the two knights where going to end up being late for work.

Riven yawned and stretched as she lumbered out of her room and into the kitchen area for some coffee, a drink that she favors a lot. It had been about 15 minutes since she woke up with the sun blasting at full strength in her eyes and she done those morning chores such as showering, brushing your teeth, and getting dressed for the day's activity, which in her case was work. She dumped a cup of hot water from a water heater to a thermos and added a spoon of powdered coffee, sugar, and cream before stirring it and sipping it to warm-up her body and waken her mind. All of a sudden there was a loud knock on the door; since it was about time for work, she grabbed her sword and took her thermos with her as she could finish it after she dealt with the person at the door and while she walked to the barracks. She unlocked the door and found Panzer waiting outside in his usual dark knight looking armor. Looking at him brought back memories of last week when they had a small dinner together that got out of hand, though he didn't remembered anything that happened.

"Morning," Riven greeted him and walked out while closing the door behind her and locking it. It seemed as if Panzer decided that he was going to walk with her out of some odd reason since her place was no where along the route to work. She decided not to question him as wouldn't answer the question in a way that would satisfy her curiosity; she also hadn't asked him if he had recalled anything of last week. Anyways, she sipped her coffee once more, offered him some by holding it out to him and giving him a "do you want?" look before walking away from her house. Speaking of places to live... It bothered her that Panzer was here this early as he seemed to always be in the barracks 24/7 unless he went out to do some daily rounds around the town. "Where do you live, Panzer?" The question came out of no where but she didn't think much about it as it wasn't embarrassing to ask where a person resided.

As his unofficial partner Riven answered the door he nodded slightly as his version of a hello, he wasn’t a very talkative person after all and the both of them knew this so moving on. He stood back to give her the needed space so she could shut and then lock her door, good thing too as there where rather a few burglars around this part of the town which was why Panzer wished Riven lived in the barracks as the security for that building was a lot better which was the only thing you could want in your living quarters right? Well, apart from a bed and a place to store your clothing anyway. Oh well though, if Riven chose to live here then that was her choice despite Panzer’s distrust of the area Riven currently lived in. “No” was his response to Riven’s offering of coffee as the female knight walked off heading towards work with Panzer following suit; he didn’t want nor even need coffee hence why he had answered with a simply and rather curt sounding no.

Why was she again asking him where he lived? Hadn’t he already made it pretty clear that the barracks was where he lived? Oh well, seeing as how it was Riven asking he decided to be nicer than usual (only just) and answer her question he answered everything in; a direct one. “The barracks, you know this” Being blunt and direct was something that had served Panzer very well through his life, he didn’t dance around the point or tried to sugar coat things in order to protect somebody’s feelings. He told things how they were and if somebody didn’t like it when he called them a negative term or thing then, they shouldn’t behave in the way that drove him to call them that in the first place then shouldn’t they? He wondered if Riven had remembered anything about the drunken incident which took place last week during their dinner together, he didn’t really care if she did, at least from a protection of self-status view point anyway, but he did care for the purpose of finding out what had exactly happened between the two of yet, for some strange reason Panzer felt he wasn’t going to like what he heard if he asked.

"Honestly? I wasn't sure," Riven replied to Panzer her confirmed her thoughts of him living in the barracks. Living there wasn't bad or anything but she preferred to not live where she she worked where anyone could bother her at any time. And she was a light sleeper so any sudden desk pounding, chair sliding, door slamming, or even any armor clinking would wake her up. Why he didn't want his own place to stay was entirely his up to him and she made no move to persuade him otherwise. They continued walking in silence with her finishing the last gulp of her coffee just as they made it to the barracks where she pulled on the door and held it out just long enough for her friend to grab it himself.

"Hey guys, you're on time like always and unlike most people," a voice came from behind the counter. The sound of a chair sliding back was heard and slowly a head raised until it could be seen with a yawn. "Well my shift is done... I'm going home and sleeping... Can't sleep here with all the damn day activity that goes on... Good morning and night to you two..." The man sluggishly got up and walked towards them, ruffled Riven's hair and gave a good pound on Panzer's armor before leaving the barracks in a sleepy move. It was true that things became more active during the day compared to at night even though more trouble occurs when it's dark.

Riven combed her hair back to the way she liked and slid her thermos across a desk before sitting down in a chair, looking at all the papers that needed to be filled out. She scowled as she never liked doing any paper work but begrudgingly took out a pen and began to fill one out. "That's the reason why I'm not in the barracks, it's always busy here," she said out suddenly.

Huh… well, Riven’s lack of certainty explained why she had asked then but that didn’t really explain why Riven chose to not live in the barracks like him, she was a knight after all and that in turn meant she didn’t belong to live anywhere else as all knights did, then again, that was only his thoughts on the matter and not you know, a fact. The two of them walked through the streets and arrived at the barracks which was when Riven helpfully held the door open long enough for him to grab himself which was appreciated even if Panzer didn’t show it; he was an apathetic one after all and as such, saw no true purpose to thanking people for being helpful, it was wise for other people to assume he was grateful for good deeds done for him even if he didn’t show it. When they walked in they were greeted by one of the other knights complementing both Riven and Panzer for always being on time (or at least Panzer thought he was but he didn’t care) then letting out a tired sounding yawn which was expected; the knight at the desk was part of the night guard after all meaning he had been awake all night long. Nodding in response to his fellow knight Panzer walked inside the barracks occupying the seat that had just been vacated by the sleepy knight.

And with this it was time to get right down to work; they had a lot of paper work to do today (no more than usual) and so, following suit with his unofficial partner Panzer picked up a pen himself and began filling out numerous forms with the amount of speed, care, grammar and spelling he always displayed while doing this tedious task. Other people might find paper work a pain in the ass, like Riven who had just expressed the paper being the reason why she didn’t stay in the barracks, but not Panzer, he tolerated it seeing as how it was his fate. The inside of his helmet was getting stuffy so he removed it and placed it down next to him on the desk revealing his facial features and dark hair and then just continued working away on the paper work in silence mostly, at least things did remain silent until Panzer decided to respond to Riven in his own manner. “I’m not even sure what a home should feel like. Never felt the warmth of belonging anywhere nor the love of a family” He didn’t mean the place a person would of lived and slept in, oh of course not, Panzer meant the actual feeling you got from living in a place you truly belonged in.

The warmth of a home or a family had never been something Panzer had the joy of experiencing which was an interesting comparison to make with Riven and her parents, he had read the file of the white-silver haired knight after all and so, knew that despite the fact her parents and entire family where a bunch of stinking traitors she at the very least got to experience what having parents was like. Should that make Panzer jealous? Should it make him sad? So many shoulds in his life about how his life should have played out but no, he wasn’t jealous of the fact people around him actually had families and why would he be? He hadn’t experienced it himself hence his apathy upon the subject. Remaining upon this topic Panzer spared a moment to wonder how different his life would had played out had he remained in his parents’ home and care but, if he did that he never would have stumbled into Fiore as a man out of place nor even met Riven for that matter. And yes, despite how he acted Riven was slowly earning the closest thing he had to a soft spot.

After 10 tedious minutes, Riven finally filled out one form before she dropped the pen on the table and began balancing her chair on the back legs with her legs cross on the table. Her eyes rolled to the left of her eye socket when Panzer began explaining some personal things and she began to think about a response to reply with. "It... varies with families. Some people have mothers and fathers but still don't get that loving feeling you said," It was often the case with overly rich people and abusive families with financial problems; the rich are simply too busy spending and earning their money to care for their kids and the last was quite self-explanatory. In Riven's case, she'd say that she had an decent family in terms of warmth and love. "I still don't know much about you but when you begin to act differently around a place or person, that's where you belong."

With the sudden talk about belonging and family, a spur of memories exploded into her head of the days when her family was still here. They were harsh and strict when it came to just about anything and it seemed as if they were controlling. However, since her entire lineage were knights, it was understandable to why they acted in such way with their discipline lessons. A normal day for Riven was weapons training from 6-10am with a tutor who was usually an older-retired family member. Then it progressed to a 2 hour break where she would brawl with her older cousins as she was the youngest in the household. And then it was more practice from 12-5pm but this time they got to spar with each other. Finally, mom and dad came home and they would eat together, Riven would show them how she was doing with training through a duel, they'd talk for about 3 hours before Riven left to do some studies and sleep.

What she wouldn't give they go back to those days but nothing would have changed as they were still apart of that terrorist group that threatened Fiore. Riven heaved a sigh before going back to the papers who have been patiently waiting for her. "Maybe you can find a place to live for a month to experience what it's like living somewhere other than the barracks. You get to do whatever you like in contrast with the set rules here."

It seemed that Riven didn’t actually catch onto what he really meant by saying that he never felt a family but oh well, it wasn’t like he really cared if she figured it out or not because he sure as hell didn’t. Panzer could care about the horrible life he led before coming to Fiore but really, would that have changed anything? All fighting to alter his fate did when he was younger was causing him to receive additional “grooming” and “training” as his former master called it and yes, master was the correct term as Panzer had technically been a slave by today’s standards or at least it sure as hell felt like he was. The point Riven made about different families being well, different was one to ponder at the very least but still, Panzer just didn’t care about these things as they were not something he would ever have in his life; he was a tool to be used and discarded as his owners saw fit. You acted different in the place you belonged in or the person you belonged with huh?.. Riven might have said that and he did trust her but, Panzer didn’t want to believe it. Call him depressive and negative but, some part of Panzer’s psyche just couldn’t allow him to be positive or have hope for anything that where his personal life issues and with good reason too.

By the point of time that Riven had filled out one form Panzer had already got half way through his second which meant he was a lot faster at it then her but, the reason why he was faster wasn’t a good or even mentally healthy thing for the human mind to do. The reason for his speed was that he drove out any personal thoughts, memories or anything that wasn’t focusing one hundred percent on the task at hand which was basically a form of mentally repression, a very unhealthy thing for him to do but, it didn’t matter because he had no true ambitions or dreams anymore. His female partner in crime’s suggestion of finding a place for him to stay in for a month just so he could try it out was noted but, he wasn’t really sure if he wanted to as he had no concept of what a place you could call your own even felt like. “That might be a worthwhile endeavour but, I don’t really see the point. I live here” he was being a stick in the mud and shot that idea down out of the sky almost instantly. Oh boy, Panzer was being difficult and you know what that meant or you will know what that means; it meant that Riven would have to exercise stubborn bossiness and make him at least try the idea out, only if she wanted to though.

Panzer
Riven made no notion to answer Panzer's stubborn reply at the moment as she was concentrating on filling out the stupid form that he had two already completed. How he could stand it was beyond her reasoning, being stuck in a room with a mountain of paper was a hellhole in her mind. Normally she would complete 5 pages before go out for a walk around the town to check up on things and to take a breather from all the writing that was required. Her parents always said that she would become a major when it came time to choose her rank as she was never really one to take her time thinking and she preferred training over studying. Being a major, sadly, wouldn't eliminate the paper work that had to be done. She glanced at Panzer and guessed that he would be a colonel as he was more of a leader and much more disciplined in her opinion; it was just an analyzes of what she had seen of him.

After completing her fifth form rather quickly but messily, Riven stood up and stretched. "Well, consider it as you may like it more than living here. Your won't have to share with anyone you don't like since there won't be anyone to invade your space." Whether or not Panzer would understand her was completely up to his brain since he might've forgotten what they were talking about. Now that she thought about it, she never really have seen the room where all the knights sleep; curiosity peaked and forced her to take a look at it. She walked over to the sleeping quarters and found a couple of knights still sleeping—probably due to night duty—and snoring. "Another reason why I don't sleep here..." Being a light sleeper had their perks and downfall: it was hard to fall asleep when there was someone snoring up a storm.

She walked back to the room, "I don't know how you can sleep when there's a person making so much noise and it's so crowded in there, you have almost no personal space or breathing space." His reasons were his own but they didn't make sense to Riven unless he had financial problems but she highly doubted it. "I'm going out for walk. If you want we can look for a small place for you to stay..."

Taking a few moments to relax his writing hand a little, to give it a little breathing room, Panzer (like his unofficial partner but he didn’t know that) spared some thought to his future role and well, the department of the knights he wished to join The Knights of Aquarion inside a combat leadership role, not stuck behind a desk filling out paper work (which he was good at but still) he wished to be on the battle field with his solders right in the thick of it while giving out tactical orders to those underneath him, rank wise. If that career path wasn’t viable or even possible for him to reach due to the problems that may or may not throw themselves in his path then, Panzer would simply aim for the position of Colonel. Fighting and martial prowess upon the field of the battle was all well and good but, without proper direction or leadership the fighters upon the battle field would have no objective to strive for ultimately.

Listening attentively to what Riven had to say as she stood up Panzer did have to admit her point merited trying out at the very least and, she was right about him not being bothered by the practical jokes his other knights seemed to partake in and oh, he wouldn’t have to worry about people accidentally tampering with his lunch because by god, that was so sodding annoying..he hated it when he had to improvise and find new lunch provisions for himself. Panzer had made his decision, he was going to give this your own home thing a try, you never know, he might actually end up enjoying it. Apparently Riven and snoring didn’t mix well what so ever, at least judging from what Riven spoke of when she re-entered the room anyway.

No way was Panzer going to let Riven go out alone, not after what had happened ages ago during their first meeting, he was not going to allow her to be kidnapped or any of her property stolen which was his duty as both a knight and a…friend? He wasn’t sure if it was something friends would do or even if Riven classed him as one but, he sure as hell was going to fulfil his duty. “If you’re going for a walk, I am coming along to ensure your protection” if anybody (mostly people like that waiter Sam) heard Panzer saying that then they would most likely think the he was her over protective boyfriend or some lame rubbish like that. And yes, with his rate of working compared to how much he had already completed meant that he could indeed afford to join Riven on her work. Picking up his helmet holding it beneath his arm, Panzer led the way and held the door open for her.

If some other knight said that they were going to tag along and protect Riven, he would've found himself being attacked by a raging girl; she didn't need any protection. But since this was Panzer who said this, it was pointless to decline it since he is as stubborn as a mule and he had a good reason to from the first time they met. She took the door he held for her as she exited and headed off in some random direction to start the walk--or patrol in anyone asked. Oshibana town was a place where lots of trouble arouse since it a town that was connected with lots of bad towns that bring the trouble. It's been about two weeks or more since Riven became a victim of the trouble that occured here where her things were stolen and sold to random vendors, and she was then technically kidnapped to do the thiefs bidding until Panzer came in and bashed the guy in.

After that incident, the two of them had a dinner together at the Seven-Starred Restaurant where more trouble occurred but thankfully, it wasn't a real problem that involved criminals and such. Their waiter, Sam, had slipped Panzer a cup of vodka after he had took a sip of wine and got drunk. And mistakenly, she had drank the whole bottle out of pure frustration. Then things got out of control... "Do you remember anything from that dinner? Particularly when we got to my place..." She asked him who had forgotten about that day. The question was mostly directed towards that kiss and random cuddling that he did when he was still half asleep.
