So the two were in agreement. They were going to be needing to get through these swears before something terrible happened. And since Luna had her weapon all ready to be used, there was no reason for them to be stalling any longer. "Alright so on the count of three I am going to fire the arrow and we're going to start running the other way through the opened door and hopefully we can close it and keep going. I'll grab the little girl so we can keep on running." She allowed the knight a bit of time to understand what was being said and going on before the blonde fired. Luna took in a breath and released it. This monstrous thing was getting closer and closer to them. Time was not really on their side. However if Luna missed this than that wasn't going to be good. In fact if she missed this then they were going to have to deal with this angry creature and possibly become like one of those faces on her or his....its head. But whatever the time to shoot the arrow was now and she was going to shoot the damn arrow! "One....two...three!" And so the flaming arrow went flying towards the fairly close creature. After she had shot the arrow, the blonde haired girl turned tail and started running away. They needed to get back as soon as possible. It was a good thing that Luna was really fast. Then again...the knight wasn't all that fast. That was going to be a problem. Ugh why was she so fast?! Well hopefully the creature wasn't going too fast. The blow from her arrow should have given them some time in order to escape. So with that in mind, the fire mage found her way back to where the mother and child was. And just as she said, Luna grabbed a hold of the child's hand and started to pull her into the open door. Yana, who at some point had jumped onto Luna's shoulder, was growling. Was the thing catching up with them? "Quickly get through the door! There is something that just can't be killed coming our way!" Hopefully the mother would follow suit and not get stunned and stand there. |

Yes yes yes, enough with informing Panzer how the plan worked Luna and get to the actual running part because that was the bit Panzer really only cared about and why wouldn’t he? Well, for starters the fact that Luna was going to take care of the young child did make it worthwhile listening to her but whatever, let us just get to the running for our lives part and yes, in this situation running for safety was the best strategy given the fact that this creature seemed pretty much immortal given the fact it just healed through everything thrown at it. Come on Luna, hurry up..that thing is getting closer and as he just thought that Luna started the count down and reached three, launching her arrow then bolting running in the opposite direction of whatever this monster actually was with Panzer in close pursuit behind her. Lisa’s eyes, despite how badly damaged they were, opened wide at the flaming arrow moving through the air towards her and once it hit the creature Lisa stumbled backwards again and roared in agony and rage tearing the arrow free from her and given pursuit to both Luna and Panzer who luckily had a couple of moments head start so hopefully that would prove to be enough to get away from this creature because if not then well, I’m sure the reader can imagine what fate awaits them; hint, it has something to do with the human flesh masks that the monster is wearing. Once the arrow hit the monster Panzer bolted like a bunny rabbit being pursued by a large amount of hunting dogs with old fashion English hunting bugles being played in the back ground and now that I have that metaphor out of the way I do believe I should get back to typing up what actually occurred during the running. Of course with the monster running after Luna and Panzer it wasn’t wise to stop, talk and look back because that would only slow them down and so seeing as how Luna had picked up the child Panzer grabbed her pet dog and carried him as he ran through the door way. Of course the mother did understand what Luna had said and so started running herself but she wasn’t as fast or as strong as either Panzer or Luna and so she wasn’t able to get through the door in time. It was rather tragic really, she was almost there and Panzer had reached his hand out to grab hers and even successfully grabbed it and was actually starting to pull her in but Lisa also managed to grab a hold of the mother and she was a lot stronger than he hence why the mother was pulled free of Panzer’s grip and ended up being killed rather painfully. The mothers young daughter had watched this whole scene break out and she burst into tears and even tried running back through the door to help her mother seeing as how she managed to break free of Luna’s grip but well, Panzer knew there was nothing to do so he grabbed the young girl, stopped her from going through the door way and then also shut the door sealing it tightly which was good because Lisa bashed against it the moment it shut leaving behind dents but was unable to break through luckily. Now that the child wasn’t able to run through the door anymore Panzer put her down and received many hits and punches from her as she sobbed. “WHY DIDN’T YOU HELP MUMMY?!” She screamed at both Panzer and Luna. Panzer just remained silent and walked off into the sewers continuing their journey saying only one thing which would sound pretty cruel but it was the logical thing to do, one person at the least had already died and for all Panzer knew so had many others hence why he wasn’t going to stand around sobbing, he had to put a stop to this before more people died. “I’m going to look ahead” honestly? Panzer didn’t want to spend any more time in the presence of this sobbing little child and her whimpering dog so he walked off by himself just to get some peace and quiet and it also gave Luna a chance to try and talk to the kid as well as talk to Panzer herself which I’ll mention is what the writer would enjoy very much. It was the worst thing that could have ever happened. Luna had dragged the little girl into the next place, the knight had picked up the puppy and was heading in after her and the kid. The mother was right on his heels. In fact the knight had reached his hand out and she had grabbed it....but the monster was much stronger than the knight. It had pulled the mother away and was killed. The mother's scream before she was finally silenced rang through the fire mage's ears even after the door was shut. It was too much. Too much for her. And what made it worse? The little girl had seen this as well. The little girl had escaped Luna's loose grip and started running towards her mother. Thankfully the knight grabbed her and managed to close the door before the monster could get any more of them. Of course the little girl wasn't going to just stand there and take it quietly. She started yelling at them, asking why they didn't go and help her mother. The knight walked off, leaving the fire mage to handle the situation. Whether he didn't know what to do or if he wanted to make sure that nothing else was going to kill them as the three (and two animals) continued walking she wasn't sure. All she knew was that she needed to help this little girl get it together. Or at least vent. And the only way she knew how was to hug her. The little girl struggled a bit, screaming that she didn't want this that she wanted her mother back. But Luna held her tight. She wouldn't let go of the child until she knew that she was going to be somewhat alright. It took a moment but the girl finally broke down and cried on the older female. Luna continued to hold the little girl as she clung to Luna; sobs coming from her. To do this she even allowed her fire bow and last remaining arrow vanish into nothingness. Normally the fire mage would be very hesitant to actually allow one of her spells to fade early, but this had to happen. Not for sake, but for the little girl's. Some more time passed and Luna had eventually had to pick the girl up and carry her because she was crying so much and so hard she had caused herself to pass out. Both the puppy and Yana followed right behind her, not letting her go out of sight again. But this was fine with Luna. She would gladly carry the girl and have her safe in someone's arms rather than following them as if she herself was some kind of zombie. "How long do you think we're going to have to walk through this place?" Luna asked in a distant tone once she reached the knight. "The sooner we get out of here, the sooner we can face Wallace....and the sooner her can answer for the injustice that he has done here today." The fire mage normally wasn't the type to go out of her way and kill people. In fact she hated killing people and would rather not. However this...this was grounds for her putting aside her vow of not killing and possibly thinking about it. At the very least she wanted to beat the living crap out of Wallace and make sure that he never could get up again. |

After the simple horrible fate that befall the mother it was understandable for her child to be very upset and to also burst into tears but what Panzer didn’t understand was why blamed him out of all people and yes, that was something born from his lack of experience with children as well as his lack of knowledge about things like empathy and understanding which was a very big flaw on his part but I should also point up he wasn’t exactly raised to have or even understand basic human emotions which made him more childish than you’d think. Sure he was all self-sufficient and could handle himself but he lacked the basic levels of emotional knowledge that most humans possessed but anyway, that didn’t really matter seeing as how he was alive to be a knight and nothing more. Still, while he did feel some form of emotion towards the young child and the fate that befell her mother he didn’t really understand it and why would he? Logically, he had no reason to be sad beyond failing his duty seeing as how she wasn’t his mother or anybody that bore any importance to him other than being a citizen he had to protect. In the background he could hear the young child crying and most likely screaming at Luna about her dad mother but he just put that to the back of his mind, it wasn’t like he could actually do anything about it, not unless he could go back in time and save here which he would do if he could and so instead of wasting his time thinking about what he couldn’t do Panzer looked around the next few corners of the only pathway out of there and saw that it was utterly devoid of anything, apart from a few rats anyway, and so that meant they had a safe passageway leading towards the ladder which would hopefully bring them up nearby the hospital. With this new piece of knowledge picked up Panzer turned around to return to the others and found himself face to face with Luna who was carrying the passed out girl on her back with the puppy and Yana standing next to her on the floor. She didn’t look happy, in fact Luna looked furious which was understandable and the obvious emotional response given what happened and there was nothing wrong with it, so long as it didn’t break her concentration or adversely affect her mental abilities in some one way or another. It seemed that both of them were in agreement on the fact that Wallace would pay for this but while Luna wanted to kill him Panzer didn’t and not because he was going to show Wallace mercy, oh heavens no, Panzer’s intention was to make Wallace suffer for what he did and I mean really suffer, he was not going to allow this Wallace man to kick the proverbial bucket until he knew exactly what it was he had done as well as all the pain and suffering he had inflicted upon his victims; Wallace’s fate would not be a pretty one. But anyway, Luna wanted to know how long until they got out of here right? Well yes she did and while Panzer knew that answer he had something to ask her himself and while he did want to he didn’t really feel it was right but for the purpose of just saying what this question was I’ll include here. Panzer’s question was why did the young child get upset at him? Yes this was going back to a previous subject I’ve already done some monologue about but I feel that this question just needs to be include because you never know, Luna’s womanly intuition might be able to pick up on this and she could provide an answer. “Not long, the ladder is right in front of us” and that also brought a problem with it, if the girl was asleep that meant somebody would need to carry her but if they were carrying her how could they climb up the ladder at the same time? And also the dog would need help getting up. |

Just as she was told, the ladder was there. Alright time to finally finish this. Finish this for the mother who died; finish this for the people who have been changed because of this; and most importantly finished so Wallace could never do something like this again. Yes, Luna's growing dark side was coming out again. And what was worse was the fact that she was very aware that she wanted to do this. It was bad. But at this point, Luna just didn't care. She was beyond that point. It was time for all rights to be corrected even if that meant being completely wrong. She handed the little girl to the knight. Yana was on her shoulder and with her left hand Luna picked up the small little dog that the little girl had with her. It was a slow climb up, but she had done it. It was actually more than likely the easiest part of the day. Sure she was tired and she just wanted all of this to be over. But that would come later. Just one more battle Luna, just one more.... Strangely enough the ladder got them directly into the hospital. Whatever. At this point the fire mage could really care less. Again, she was ready to kill something. Turning back around she helped the knight get the little girl up into the building before all of them started searching for Wallace. Floor after Floor, hall after hall, room after room they found nothing. No one. Not a living soul. How did this happen? Wouldn't there be zombie like people here wondering the floors. Well maybe not if Wallace was using this as his place of base. But where could he be? If he wasn't in the actual building then? The roof. Right. It was there. And the knight knew it was up there that they would find their man. Slowly they reached the very top of the stairs that led to the roof. And when they reached the door itself, Luna spoke with her back to the man that had been helping her. "I need you to stay here and keep an eye on the girl and her puppy. Things are going to get ugly out there. Come on Yana." She didn't wait for him to respond. After the two-tailed cat got outside, Luna slammed the door in the knight's face and grabbed a metal pole that just so happened to be there. Slipping the pole through the door and something else to make sure that the man and child couldn't get out, Luna turned her attention to the thing standing in the shade on the roof. Her one brown eye and one purple eye had death written in them. If Wallace saw it or not she could not tell. And if she could, she really could care less. The fire mage already knew what she was going to do and there was nothing that was going to stop her now. "Oh my my....if it isn't Luna. Where is Dran?" The shadowed man said. "Dran isn't there Wallace. It's just me and you." a chuckle came from him as he stepped into the light casted by the lamps out here. It was Wallace, but not. Half of his face looked like a zombie or maybe a lizard. Almost like Two-Face but not burnt off...or blue in the animated series. "Well that is a shame," the man continued. "But you must be wondering why I look this way. Well you see, after you and your...friend...put me in jail I had a rather interesting cell mate. It seems as though he had tried to do something wonderful. Sure I was trying to get away with lowly love potions. He on the other hand was trying to make potions that would-" He didn't get a chance to finish as Luna's hand, covered by fire thanks to Inferno's Furry, collided with his face. The man was sent back, slamming into the wall that created the shade in the first place. Luna was standing here, arm stretched out just as she had it when she decked Wallace. "I could don't care about your face Wallace. In fact I'm here to end you once and for all." She continued. Her hand went straight for his mid section and caused the male to double over. Taking a step back she used a heel drop on his back and sent the man's face into the ground. Again she didn't stop. Kneeling down Luna flipped him into his back and grabbed the front of his shirt; causing him to be slightly lifted from the ground. Her other hand had balled into a fist and was pulled back ready to be sent flying into Wallace's face. But as she glared down at this man, some clarity had finally come back to her. As her two different colored eyes watched as the blood flowed from his nose, she remembered something very important: Luna didn't kill people. In fact, she went out of her way to make sure that even the bad guys weren't killed. Why? Because that was just the way she was. She was a good person even when she didn't need to be. But just as there was an angel sitting on her shoulder, there was that devil whispering even louder. 'Just do it! Kill him! He was the reason why the town is like this. HE was the reason why you had to go through the sewers. HE WAS THE REASON WHY THE LITTLE GIRL'S MOTEHR IS DEAD!' A snarl formed on her face and Luna let her fist fly forward. However her fist did not connect with Wallace's face. Yes, she hit the ground. But that didn't stop her two colored eyes from glaring down at the man that should have been killed. "You are lucky that I don't kill people....Yana. Make sure he doesn't go anywhere." Luna let go of Wallace's shirt, letting him fall to the ground with a thud. Yana, on Luna's instructions, stepped upon the man's shadow and kept him from moving after her master went to the door. The fire mage really didn't think that Wallace as going to be getting up again, but better safe than sorry right? Regardless, Luna returned to the door and pulled the metal pole from it's resting place only to have not one but a whole squad of knights rush past her. "YOU THERE MAGE!" a male's voice yelled out to her. Luna winced and looked into the building. She expected to be in trouble. But instead what she found was a male knight walking up to her holding the little girl in his arms. This was the little girl's father, or at the very least some relative that she knew. That was good. "Panzer wanted to tell you when you finally came back...or when we got up here...that he went back with a few other knights to see if the rest of the city was alright. It seems that whatever was making everyone zombies has worn off." He let out a sigh and then spoke again. "But I wanted to ask you where my wife was. Normally she never leaves the side of our daughter." Yeah, Luna knew that she was going to be dealing with this. Her eyes fell to the ground as she tried looking for the right words to explain to the man. "I am sorry to inform you that she is no longer alive. There is something under the sewers that I just couldn't kill. Neither I nor the other knight could do it. She was killed down there and your daughter saw it. I am really sorry." The man took it rather well. But he said no more about that. He explained that most of everyone that they had come across after waking up was doing fine. And he was grateful that she had stopped the mad man who had done this in the first place. Again a long round of thanks from many other people, and after watching Wallace getting put behind bars, Luna was beyond tired. She let out a heavy sigh and looked down at her little two-tailed cat. "Alright Yana, I think it is time for us to go home. What do you say?" Her feline pet meowed back in agreement. A sad laugh came from the fire mage. "Alright lets go. I don't think we are needed here anymore." Fin. |
