Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Clear hated the Dandelion sector as much as the next guy. He was forced to go there once in the past, and he would rather not step foot in it ever again. But alas, life does not always go the way one plans it, because he found himself on another mission there. It was one specifically sent to a dark guild, and for good reason. It was a pretty simple job, he had to meet up with a gang, pick up their contraband and then trade it with another gang. Kind of like the middleman. Why a place like that was picked for the transaction was pretty obvious, the knights rarely stepped foot in this sector which made it perfect for all kinds of illegal deals. The instructions he got were vague at best, but he was used to things ending up like that. If too much detail was put into the request, things would end up getting compromised. Regardless of that, he was given a time, meeting spot and code phrase. Since this was his second time in this place, he knew a few things about its streets and which places to avoid. Specifically, the street where he and Blitz met some hoodlums who tried to take their lives (and beer) with an end result of mass destruction of the place. Its inhabitants were probably not too thrilled about that.

The usual pattern repeated itself with people staring at Clear wherever he went, but they didn't pay him too much attention. Many weirdos frequented that place, man in a cloak carrying a gourd with a water elemental inside it was probably not such an interesting sight. He took the turns in the streets until he ended up in the location specified in the mission request. It was in a really weird place of the town, finding it took a pretty big amount of time. Thankfully, Clear thought of that in advance and made sure to arrive in the town early. He waited for the appointed time to arrive and he knocked on the door. "I am here for the job." he said bluntly. A small part of the door opened at eye-level and a pair of brown eyes stared back at Clear. "What's the code?" the man asked. Clear paused for a moment and looked at the man. Was that really necessary? Or couldn't they have at least decided on a batter code phrase? "Mufflebeans." he nonchalantly stated. Just uttering that ridiculous word made him feel stupider. After that, the door opened slowly and he was motioned to enter. Without waiting any longer, he stepped inside the small building.

Inside the building there was a hall way that lead to different parts of the warehouse. The warehouse was filled with all sorts of figures hiding in the shadows and the man who answered the door to Clear. He was a gruffy man who looked down on the young male. He thought that this young male couldn't do shit at all and would be caught by the knights immediately. The man led Clear down the hall way which he was shown to a room. The room was dimly lit and there were two body guards who were standing around their boss. The boss was a tall and built man who wore gold rings on his fingers and a mask on his face. He stood up and walked over to Clear inspecting the young man.

He wasn't happy with what Tartaros had shown them and he declared What the fuck is this? I heard a mage of Tartaros was going to come and take the mission and here I see is a kid? What the hell is this? Boys take care of him and make sure there is no trace. I rather not have Tartaros down on my back if he is part of their guild. If not then we can probably sell his organs for some extra cash. The boss walked back to his seat and sat down and lifted his legs on the table as he watched the battle ahead. The two body guards started to move towards Clear. Behind him the door locked as his escort was moving up behind him.

All three body guards were surrounding Clear. Apparently his young appearance did not satisfy their boss and he wanted someone that looked more reliable and who could do the job. They thought that Clear would mess up, get caught and spill the beans on them all. That was something they were not going to risk and selling his organs was a good alternative.

Not even a proper response, this guy sure took his job seriously. Clear couldn't help but notice one or two people staring at him while hiding. They did a good job at it, but they were slightly off. After all, this wasn't such a big place, they didn't have all that much space to hide in. The room Clear ended up in looked like some kind of headquarters of sorts; the man who talked to him also felt important. And then it was the usual pattern, his looks were really getting him into all sorts of trouble. He would be much better off looking hard-boiled and dangerous, but that would attract other kinds of troubles. "Seriously, you people, are you drawn out of a comic book or something? Don't just judge a person by his looks." he said dryly. If these guys wanted a fight, he was going to give it to them. He wasn't about to lose to three guys from a pathetic gang like this one. Really, these guys even stooped as low as asking for help with their business because they were too afraid of their rivals, and now they had the audacity to question Clear's abilities? That was an arrogant insult coming from guys like them. Absolutely preposterous, and he was going to give them a good lesson.

Raising his hand to eye-level, Clear evoked his tentacle technique. Eight of them appeared etched onto his hand, forming an extra limb for him to use as he pleased. "Listen here, I don't know what kind of impression you people get, but I am no joke. I won't call myself something like an all-powerful member of Tartaros, nor will I claim to be the strongest around. But let me tell you this, I am not a weakling. If it's people like you, I can deal with you in the blink of an eye. Will you still attack me, knowing that? This is no bluff." he said. He already knew how this was going to end, nobody ever heeded his warnings. Well, he didn't look all that convincing, threatening people like that, but he still hoped it would work for once. In this situation, avoiding a battle would mean they get to resolve the matter quicker and get on with the job so he can leave this place as soon as possible.

Well the body guards were slightly concerned with the tentacles as they were not stupid. They knew that if they tried, there was a good chance they could not reach Clear and would be pushed back by the tentacles. It was troublesome, but the body guards didn't rely only oh their physical abilities. Instead they had smuggled weapons that they carried around and two of them pulled out an S Rank gun. A REAL GUN WITH REAL BULLETS. Either way, they were about to aim at Clear when their boss said Enough. if you guys have to bring out the guns then he's more than enough for the job. Seems like you have some nasty abilities that would deal with the knights if you ever came across them. The boss then sat up and had his hands together on the table. He looked at his boys and they went back to their original position.

He then said So here is the thing. The goods are found within the town's cemetery. Its in a crypt with of a wealthy old fart. Sir Branson the knob. Take the crate to our dealer at the outskirts of town. The problem why we can't do it ourselves is that we are being watched. Our movements are being tracked by the knights and so we can't do anything for the time being. Once this shipment has been completed, it would throw them off the tail as we did not do anything and they would have to follow other leads. So you know what that means? If you accept the mission that's great. If you don't then that's too bad. Either way we are sending you out the sewerage chute since we can't let them know that you are associated with us now. The boss then leaned back in his chair with a smile on his face awaiting Clear's decision with the mission.

Would you look at that, people decided not to settle everything with violence for once. Not that Clear's intimidation worked, but the end result was still the same. He lowered his hand and canceled his magic, making the tentacles disappear into thin air. He was almost certain he could hear a disappointed sound coming from Suina, but he was going to ignore that for now. He listened to what the boss had to say, but the description he gave was much different than the one he got from the mission briefing. The gang was supposed to be scared of the people they were doing business with, not the knights. And there were almost no knights in the Dandelion sector, who on earth would worry about that? Especially people who just displayed such advanced weaponry, Clear had never even seen a gun like that. Bottom line, this boss was suspicious. Had Clear come to the wrong place? This seemed like a very likely possibility, but the code he used to enter this place was the right one. The only way to make sure of that was to ask the boss directly.

"I don't really have a problem with this, I already knew what kind of job this was when I accepted it. Actually, aren't you people underestimating the mages of Tartaros a little too much? This was listed as a simple C-Class mission, I can do this much with my eyes closed. Anyway, this is not what I have concerns about. You said that the knights were following you and observing your every movement. This is not what the mission briefing said. My job was supposed to strike a good deal for you guys because you were afraid the other gang would try to screw you over. Now, there is nothing wrong with the way things have turned out, but don't you think you should have included this information in the first place? Or is something different going on? Perhaps you are trying to trick me? Knights, in the Dandelion sector? The most lawless part of Fiore? The place where being a criminal is the norm? The place the king himself doesn't bother looking at? Something is wrong with your story, it doesn't add up. Answer me." Clear pointed at the boss.

The boss laughed at Clear since he actually answered his own question. What a fool. "Knights, in the Dandelion sector? The most lawless part of Fiore?" What do you get when you mix them together? Corruption. The knights aren't going to haul our asses of to jail, but instead steal our crate and sell it off themselves. Do you think that they are going to let you go free? They'll send someone to tail you once they've spotted you so you better be careful of that. Now the broker, its our rival gang. We want to become a supplier for them so that they would rely on us. Easiest way to control them. Supply them with what they need and threaten them if they don't do what we want. Of course you will have to negotiate with them providing you actually got the crate to them in the first place. If you think that this will be an easy mission? Possibly, just because we can't fucking move how we want. But more or less we want a strong no-body who can do our job without being a fucking beacon saying oh look at me. I'm a infamous dark mage loitering around in this town.

Any more questions?

Corruption, huh? That thought never even crossed Clear's mind. That just showed how naive he was in this world of outlaws he had gotten himself into. The boss' argument cleared everything up except his concern about the request itself, but that could easily be answered with a little brainstorming. If they included every fine detail into the request they sent off to Tartaros, there was always a chance it could fall into the wrong hands. That wouldn't bode well for them. Being called a nobody hurt a little, but it was the truth. Clear knew that his name or face wouldn't be recognized even if he tossed around flyers of them in the streets. "I see, that does explain everything. I will take on our job, never planned on turning it down in the first place. The town's cemetery, Branson the knob, outskirts of town. Got it. Well then, I will be taking my leave." Clear told the boss before turning around to leave the building. This mission was going to be interesting, to say the least, and a good change of pace. Clear hardly ever dealt with business like this, so it would be a good opportunity for him to learn some basic things about trade.

The boss did tell Clear he had to leave through the sewers, so he followed those instructions. It was disgusting, but it had to be done to keep his involvement hidden. It was a good thing he was a water magic, he could use his magic to keep away the filthy sewage water while he walked through it. The smell was still annoying, and he could hear Suina complain as she hid herself inside the gourd, but it didn't last long. He was out in the open before long, his clothing almost dry and the stench of the sewer not strong on him. That was one of the times he badly wanted to take a bath, but that wasn't the time for it. If anything, that made him stand out less as every person in that place had some kind of odour coming off of them. Walking to the cemetery didn't take too long, Clear had gotten a little used to the streets of this town. Finding the correct grave was another thing. The size of that place was huge, the amount of people who died in there must increase daily. Not to mention that the gravestones were in awful condition. Location the exact grave he needed to was an arduous task, but he finally got to it after about an hour and a half. Branson the knob, it really did say that.

Before Clear could actually play around the grave of Branson the knob there the was the clanking of footsteps behind him and three knights came up and revealed themselves to Clear. They were acting very professional as they asked Clear why he was in the cemetery at this time of night and why did he stink like the sewers. Of course we are talking about Knights following the code in the Dandelion sector. Obviously there were going to let Clear lead them to the crate full of "stuff" and then bash the shit out of him and take it for themselves. They were trying to be nice and all authoritive, but they were just watching him for ever since he went into the building.

Though they spent the time looking for Clear once he didn't exit the building and it wasn't until another unit of knights came by and described Clear as he reeked of the sewers. With the information, they attempted to be stealthy and follow Clear from afar, but they decided to move in when he entered the cemetery since there was a stupid fog rolling in and it was obscuring their vision. The fog came about because of the condensation of the water droplets on the grass causing a nice mist. Either way the knights are on Clear's tracks and they want the location of the crate. If Clear finally shove them off to the side, he could finally see what it was in the crate that the "boss" wanted to supply to the rival gang.

It seemed like the boss was right, the knights really did arrive after him. How did they know he was going to be there? Was there information leak on their side? A traitor? Nobody could have possibly known Clear was involved with that gang, unless they staked out every entrance to their hideout. That could actually make a little sense, if they saw him enter, they would then follow his every step. Clear wasn't exactly a discreet figure. The question now was, how did he deal with these guys? Just take them out before they got the chance to fight back? Try to trick them? No, Clear wasn't the type to confuse people with his words, he just couldn't do that. His only option was brute force, but there were three of them. Knights were usually jokes, but not the ones who had to work in a place like this. They were in constant struggles with the gangs of the area, and they had to have some kind of combat strength if they were to pull off stealing from them. Or was it only threats of imprisonment that kept them going? Perhaps their superior numbers? Threats of reinforcements? Clear needn't worry about those things, he didn't live in that place. He would be gone before the day was over.

In the end, he decided to go with the simplest method. Clear was a smart man, but not when it came to dealing with people. He started slowly walking towards the knights, making no suspicious movements before he started talking. "You see, officers, I have some business to take care of here. Unless you want to join the people here... No, wait, you don't get a choice in the matter, you will." he simply said before quickly raising his hand and shooting a jet of water at the nearest opponent's face. Then, he took out his spear and made a jab at the one next to him, aiming at his throat. He should be able to take them by surprise and reduce their numbers to one. He stepped forward to put himself between them and not allow them to run away. If any of the knights tried to run away or do something like call for help, he would immediately run his throat through with his spear. Unless these guys had top-notch reflexes, their chances of actually dodging any of that were slim.

Well Clear made the right move. The three knights were caught off guard, one hit with the spell and was thrown off his feet and onto the ground. The problem with a cemetery is that there are head stones everywhere and with that as the knight smacked by the water went down, he also collided head first into a head stone and smashed his brains out. Completely unaware of the situation, it had caused confusion to the other two knights as they finally stopped looking at their friend to turn back to Clear. One was speared in the neck by his weapon and well shit. This guy was spurting blood with every pump of his heart and it sprayed across the ground. He went down as he attempted to stop the bleeding by clutching his neck, but it was not going to work. The wound was a mere nick, but even so at the throat, the fear and confusion would only cause a spiral of despair.

The final knight that was not implicated by Clear drew his sword and clutched it firmly in his hands as he looked at Clear unsure of how he was going to respond. His two mates were done and one of them was going to die. He thought it was going to be fun to grab the crate and actually get rich in this horrendous town, but Clear was no joke. He roared out in a final war cry as his mind was consumed with uncertainty and impulsiveness as he didn't know what else he could do. He raised the sword above his head and started to run towards Clear hoping to bring down the sword onto him and cleave him in half.
