Out of the food’s Riven mentioned Panzer didn’t recognise the names of any of them at all but, he knew what chicken was and had always been a fan of it so he guessed that he would try the chicken fajitas despite not having a single damn idea what they even where, he would soon find out though as that was what he would order. Panzer looked at the basket that Sam had placed down upon the table in slight confusion, what the Earth where these weird stick shaped food items? Hell if he knew but he decided to try one and so reached out then took a good sized bite from the stick; its taste was actually rather pleasant and so he ate the rest of the stick enjoying its garlic and bread like taste, for him it was a strange food as he had never encountered bread which had tasted of anything other than well bread to put it bluntly.”Chicken Fajitas for me” he shrugged and rolled his shoulders not one hundred percent sure about how well this trip out to eat would end up but hey, fortune favoured the brave. Seeing as how both he and Riven had ordered the waiter known as Sam, who Panzer didn’t like, walked off only to return again moment later with a bottle that had no label on it, of course this didn’t seem the slightest bit suspicious to Panzer for as far as he knew it might have been standard practice for a restaurant to do this and so he was sure nothing bad would come from drinking the bottles contents which he had to pour into a cup himself seeing as how Sam had only decided to pour some out for Riven but oh well. He poured himself some into a cup and took a drink from it or a few sips form it but he soon felt rather dizzy and generally odd but the third or fourth sip. “My head is dizzy, what is this drink?” he asked confused unsure as to where this sudden dizziness had come from, there was no explainable reason for it unless of course it was the drink; had that waiter drugged his drink?! Oh that waiter was going to spend a long time in jail if that was the truth of the situation. |

Riven raised an eyebrow at Panzer's sudden hunger, or maybe it was the best thing he's tasted and couldn't get enough of it. "Don't eat too much, you'll get full before you even start your meal," she cautioned him. There was one more left so taking the opportunity, she grabbed it quickly and stuffed it in her mouth, dipping it in the melted butter after every bit. He must've not gotten out a lot... His actions were rather... Weird and not normal as she would say it. But still... No one would freak out that badly by eating a piece of breadstick. This was very abnormal but then again, they were still getting acquainted with each other so there was not much she knew about him. Another surprised occur to her when he commented on feeling dizzy after taking a sip of his wine. She took another sip before placing her glass down, "It's wine, never had anything like it? It's actually very good, must be expensive." Apparently, he wasn't one who could last a couple of drinks before he became drunk; hopefully he knew his limit. "Mmm... Is this your first time eating out? And with someone else?" Riven dared to ask, she wanted to know a little more about him of course, she would freely tell him about herself in exchange for some information. Minutes later, Sam came back with a tray of food. "One rack of lamb for the lovely Riven. Rare as always, spiced with rosemary, and topped with black pepper sauce." He placed the plate in front of her. There was two scoops of rice covered by the lamb and the sauce was drizzled on both. The waiter moved over and cut up each rib into separate pieces. The he moved on to panzer, "Chicken Fajitas for the eye-catching gentleman." Then he poured more wine in the glasses, "Please enjoy, if you need another bottle, don't hesitate to call me." |

Panzer had finished eating the bread and took another sip from the wine glass still a bit unsure of how he felt about the taste of this wine. Sure he liked how it tasted but given the fact it was making him dizzy and feeling a bit odd meant he was unsure if he should continue drinking this, nope, he shouldn’t so Panzer put the glass down seeing as how he couldn’t hold his liquor. “No I haven’t” he sighed and put his hand to his forehead seeing as how his headache was pounding against his skull like a drum much to his discomfort, pain and annoyance. “Yes it is, to both questions” he rubbed his forehead again as Sam returned with the food that they had order; about time Panzer thought seeing as how he was rather hungry by this point. God damn it, not more wine, Panzer did so not want any more of this wine seeing as how two average sized sips from it had been enough to make him tipsy. |

"First time with wine?" Sam noticed Panzer's reaction. Those who are new to drinks such as wine, beer, or whisky tended to think that there was something wrong with the drink and experience minor headaches because they stop drinking it. But then there are those who are sad sops that can't hold their liquor but still drink a sip of it for no apparent reason. "Let me offer you some advice: once you take a gulp of wine, don't stop drinking until the pain goes away. Sure you might get drunk but it's more fun and less painful this way." He smiled mischievously before taking the empty bread stick basket and walking away. "Bon appetit!" he called over his shoulder before disappearing to his other waiter duties though he wished he could have stayed and watch the show unravel; he very much liked watching two people of the opposite gender get drunk with each other. Riven rolled her eyes at Sam as he walked away; the idiot was trying to cause something again. She stared back at Panzer who was clinging on to his head, "What he said is true, just don't go too over your limit and you should be fine." It made her remember of the lady they bumped into when coming here, would she have to do the same with him? Excluding knocking him out unless he got seriously out of hand. On a side note, she was feeling perfectly fine, granted she only drank a glass so far, but she was fairing off much better than her partner. A woozy Riven--quoted by those who've experienced her in that stage-- is a hyper-active girl who makes fun of people like there's no tomorrow. "So, why don't you get out more often?" Riven flourished the knife on the table before using it to cut her lamb into smaller pieces. In an instant, blood oozed out of the meat, a clear indication that they cooked it right. It was an honest question, it seemed odd that he looked a bit misplaced in the sense that he's never tasted wine or doesn't know most of the food on the menu; not to mention he ate all the bread sticks in one sitting. "I know you're busy with work, but you do take breaks every once in a while. Why not spend it eating out?" She took her work sesriously, but the idea of staying cooped up in the barracks annoyed her; she had to be outside where she can see what's happening all the time. |

It was obvious that this was his first time with wine and as such had no point in denying it so he nodded in response to Sam but didn’t agree with drinking more of the wine, it seemed like this Sam person was trying to trick him into getting even more drunk for some reason, very suspicious and as a result of Panzer being Panzer he no longer trusted what Sam had to say yet regardless he used the knife and fork to cut into his food and cut off a decent size chunk of the food which he then ate, it was rather spicy but nothing that Panzer wouldn’t be able to tolerate for now anyway. He looked at Riven and raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner as she agreed with Sam that he should drink more wine, was she on it too? Yes she had to be. He still was not going to drink another sip of the wine and so continued to eat his food in silence. At least he reminded in silence until Riven asked him a few questions about himself and why he didn’t go out more often as she cut into her own food and began eating, for a moment though the way she flourished the knife made it look like she was going to attack him. “I chose not to” simple answer for a not so simple but more than that Panzer did not wish to share on account of it being rather personal to him. Her second questions was a lot less personal yet he still didn’t feel like wanting to give a full answer for it so he was just going to give her a short and snappy answer, hopefully it would satisfy her. “I do not see the point, the provisions I buy from the stores are sufficient” by provisions he meant that he would buy food and assorted ingredients from the towns stores then use the barracks kitchen to create himself food; he might not be a world class chief or present the food in an amazing manner but it was perfectly tasty and gave him the energy to do his job, he did live at the barracks after all. |

A bit touchy about personal information are we? Riven considered Panzer's answer and shrugged; they had their own ways of doing things. It wasn't her to press on a subject but if they were going to work together they should at least know a bit more about each other. Maybe some other time in the distant future perhaps. Stabbing the piece of meat with a fork, she lifted it to her mouth and chewed on it. There were so many reasons why she loved meat and the fact that it was chewy was one of it. Other reasons included the juiciness of a rare-cooked steak, the spices and sauce that goes with it, and the smell was mouthwatering. In order, she loved lamb the most, then steak and ribs, pork, chicken, fish, then exotic foods that make most people uneasy when said. Riven gulped down the last of her wine, finishing the first glass. At the moment, she was feeling perfectly fine, maybe her senses were dulled by a bit but nothing significantly noticeable. Second glass was when things started to show if one were to pay attention. Third was when most people could tell and say that she was a bit tipsy and that was when things became blurry and unfocused. Fourth and above was a sealed deal, her mind would be taken captive by... Lets say her alter-ego, and a person can say that she was defiantly drunk. She's been through many events that include wine so she knew what would happen. 20 or so minutes later, Sam came back to check up on them like most waiters. "How is the food? Pleasant I sure hope or else someone is going to be cut," he smiled harmlessly. Restaurants like this were very demanding and serious, if a customer wasn't happy at all, a person could get fired on spot or if they're lucky be on a paid leave. "Get Panzer a cup of water, Sam. And wipe that smile off your face, makes you look like a troublemaker," Riven ordered him. "Oh but you know I am one but I'll be back with a pure, clean glass of water for our tipsy friend!" Again with a cheery voice Sam turned away. He returned not long after with two glass of ice-cold water. "I see you didn't take my advice about drinking more. I don't know whether I should applaud you for being smart or giggle at you for being new at this." Sam placed the water in front of him, "On a serious note, though, iced water is the best cure for being drunk. It's a hell lot more affective if it's splashed on instead of being drank." There was another glass that was placed in front of Riven, "One for you to do so if he drinks his. Please do it outside on the porch, my manager wouldn't like it if it was done here." With his answers happening to have satisfied Riven’s questioning for the time being Panzer cut back into his meal and ate a decent sized piece of the fajita of the end of his fork, yes despite his lack of knowledge on how to eat at a table correctly Panzer did know how to basically use a knife and fork. Looking over at Riven finishing her glass of wine he was unsure if that was actually the best thing for her but hey, she was an adult and should be able to know her own limits yet he was still worried about her getting drunk and causing trouble, not for her own sake but because it would mean he would have to put a stop to it for the sake of protecting the general public. He had no idea how Riven acted when she was tipsy but at her rate of consumption he would soon find out what “drunken Riven” acted like. As he had been focusing on eating his meal the headache had started to hurt less which was fortunate, it was starting to get annoying but as one headache was resolved another one soon made itself apparent in the form of that untrustworthy waiter known as Sam retuning to ask about the food and if he was enjoying it or not.”Compared to what I usually find myself eating it’s an improvement” ah yes, and now the wine was making him slightly more talkative then usual hence why he had employed a few words he wouldn’t normally employ in his vocabulary. A smirk grew over his face as Riven said that Sam looked like a trouble maker, it was true yet as a result of the slightly looser state Panzer was in he had actually found it amusing, a rare thing indeed. Apparently ice cold water was a good way to help with his headache yet seeing a show that advice came from Sam, the one whose fault it was for having a headache to start with, meant that Panzer didn’t put any faith in what he had to say, call him paranoid but this amount of caution is what made it possible for Panzer to be alive in the flesh nowadays. Apparently having the water splashed over him would be more effective yet seeing as how Sam had requested them not to do it until they left the restaurant so the whole being splashed with water thing was to be put on hold for now. That didn’t stop him from reaching for one of the glasses and drinking the entire glass of ice cold water in one go which made him shudder as the coldness caught him off guard, it was ICE cold after all. After drinking that though he felt it would be a good idea to return to something warm such as his meal so he continued to eat it. (To get Panzer drunk Sam could bring out vodka which is a clear liquid and pretend its more water meaning Panzer would drink it thinking it would help his headache) |

The knight chugged down the water like a world water-chugging champion. How he didn't suffer a brain freeze and just shuddered mystified both Sam and Riven. "Feel better? Told you it would help!" He smiled politely and poured more water into his glass. Then he lifted the wine bottle and filled Riven's glass; he didn't fill Panzer's as he predicted that he won't drink any more colored liquid or anything that came from the bottle. Vodka, on the other hand, was clear like water and coincidently, he had replaced the water in the pitcher with it. What he had poured to Panzer wasn't water but the clear-colored alcohol. He bowed and moved away before any suspicion aroused. Oh what a devil he was. Riven sighed, "Sorry for the trouble, didn't know he would be our waiter. He's not a bad one but when he sees something that could be uhh... Potentially blooming, relationship-wise." She sipped her wine before continuing with her dinner. The restaurant was very chilled and calm throughout the night. The sun had fallen from heaven and the moon rose to take its seat. The stars danced and painted pictures in the sky, it was an amazing sight to see. She felt like enjoying the night while she can as there was no telling when there could be another one like this. Maybe she'll have three glasses today? Anyways, Riven finished her plate and pushed it aside. There was a small menu stand for deserts, drinks, and some appetizers. "Room for more? Or too full for even desert?" She smirked. There was creme bule, cheesecake, double fudge cake, apple pie, and a sundae with toppings of your choice. She passed it to Panzer to look and finished her second glass of wine. After a while, things were getting a tiny bit fuzzy and she was getting a tiny bit bubbly. |

So it turned out that Sam had actually been telling him the truth seeing as how drinking the ice cold water made his alcohol caused headache go away but in return it gave him a headache caused by brain freeze but Panzer didn’t know that and as such thought it was actually the alcohol so seeing as how Sam had refilled his glass with what he assumed was water Panzer took the glass and drunk all its contents in one go hoping to make his blasted headache go away. The water tasted very different from last time and didn’t seem to do anything for his headache, was it really water? He didn’t know of anything that looked like water that wasn’t water so Panzer was now rather confused and drunk as well as being very loose because of it, perfect chance for a certain female knight to inquire about his past no? “Eh… its fine…” One could easily tell by his slurred words and the fact that he had been a lot more forgiving then he normally would be that Panzer was drunk, not very drunk but seeing as how he couldn’t hold his liquor very well it might as well be classed as very drunk. He had finished his main meal by this point of time and thought that would mean they would go, nothing came after the main meal after all so he assumed it was time to pay and leave but, this was when Riven brought up these “desert” things. “What is a desert?” Yes, Panzer had no idea what a desert was, he had seen other people eating deserts before in his time but nobody had ever taught him that they were deserts; it wasn’t deemed important knowledge for a solder to know what a desert was after all. Taking the desert menu he stared at its contents in confusion, he had no clue what any of these fancy names actually where nor did he understand half the words used in the descriptions of these desert things, god where restaurants strange and alien places to him. May he never ever ever go to a restaurant again; it was filled with strange unknown food things, untrustworthy waiters, drinks that made his head hurt and water that wasn’t water! OH GOD WAS WHAT THE CLEAR LIQUD HE HAD DRUNK A FEW MOMENTS AGO?! |

"Oh fuck Sam!" Riven snapped and looked at where the mischievous waiter disappeared to. He must've swapped Panzer's water with vodka or something clear like water. "I'll choose the dessert, it's usually something sweet." It'll get Sam out of his hiding place and give her the chance to get at him. But when the waiter came, it was someone else. "How may I help you two?" He said quietly. "Where'd Sam go?" She asked. "He's busy with another table, I was asked to take his place for now," the waiter replied calmly. That little rat! Scanning the restaurant, she stopped at the far corner of it where she saw his wild, red hair staring at her withe that smile of his before going back to the table he was at. It took so much effort to not stand up, march over to him, drag his body to the fountain, and throw him into the shark infested water. To calm her anger, she reached for a drink and grabbed her wine. Without noticing, she drank it all in a go. "Kaaay... Umm, get us a umm... Hold on, leme think bout this..." Riven's mind was getting foggy and she rested her head in her hands. "Okay, kay... Kay get us a umm... Damn it, just had it," she giggled, "Okay just get us a stupid cheesecake and a double fudge chocolate with a vanilla ice cream side..." Then she laughed a bit uncontrollably. Things were gonna go downhill... Or up hill whatever one makes sense. "So... Panzer... It looks like I'm in the same boat as you," again she laughed. "Sammy gave you vodka, god sometimes I love him. Anyways... Where the hell are you from?" It was a weird question but it was a serious one. Like seriously, who doesn't know what wine is or steak or dessert of all things. EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT DESSERT IS!! Either he's just that sad or he's just been kept away from these wonders of the world. Bored out of her mind, Riven grabbed her knife and began to throw it in the air, catching it by the hilt with her two fingers. Every once in a while, she would fumble and almost drop it—she would giggle. Losing her amusement again, she grabbed Panzer's knife and began juggling them with her finger. "God this is taking foooreevvveerrrr," she balanced her chair on its two back leg, looking for the desserts she had ordered. |
