Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. The Story:

Chapter One: Bad End, Or A New Beginning?

Simply sitting high up, staring towards the sky and the ground to compare the distance for no reason, Velrune was there. Why? Because he simply loved the sky like none other. He lived in the capital, and it seemingly only had one high-up tower, thus he claimed it as his personal though-clearing space. He always just stared up, hoping he'd one day gain wings to do his biding. Magic? He had no such thing, or didn't know if he had. Power? None was needed, as long as he could walk, eat, and live. He didn't even have any relatives, so to say, just a sole friend that supported him and didn't mind his presence here. His blue hair waved as a gust of wind blew by, light sea-blue to describe it the best, just like his eyes were. Strangely enough they seemed to be so resembling with the clear sky above the capital.

He was for once, for one day so far, at rest and calm. Nobody disturbed him, and he was seeing a view that stretched far past the capital, he could see a bit over the forest that surrounded the city, seeing edges of other tribes and so forth. The world was odd, some would say. There were so many different things going on, war was also a part of this. There were various factions that each had their own meanings and goals. He was one of the Dalandre, they pretty much were the once in the capital and that meant good. They believe in an entity or power refered to as the 'Holy Light', a godly light that envelops and illuminates all and provides infinite power. The Dalandre are those claiming they stern from the ancient 5 senjoudo, these are basically 5 of the very first inhabitants of the Aegis, that pretty much forged the society and land as it is today.

They are the basis of everything, pretty much. But, this is only a legend. They also were claimed to hold all the knowledge of magic and the Aegis's secrets, which none have uncovered by now. The 'Lost Ones' love darkness, chaos and destruction. They are the 'dark' side of everything, so most of the others claim, that is. They seek upon the downfall of the Aegis, pretty much named the 'Armageddon'. The day that the 'dark king' will arise from their own, and plunge the world in darkness. Furthermore there's Naturalists. These are somewhat odd people, for those out of the capital. Making use of elementium trees, they can forge powerful weapons that seem to be on par with magic itself.

They basically live in every bit of forest existing on the Aegis, and each have various tribes among themselves. They're one with the nature and the creatures that live on the Aegis. They believe in a deity named 'Orugan', the guardian of nature. As their offering to Orugan, they keep the outsiders away from the forest and the nature, as most try to destroy it for resources, and so on. The scientists are just inventors, to keep it simple. They perform feats of technology that seems like a miracle to other people, and they stand their ground in Catherion. They only seek knowledge and evolution of technology, pretty much. Explorers also exist, heck, why wouldn't they? They wish to fish up the secrets of the Aegis that the Senjoudo had found out, thus their belief is that of the senjoudo, yet it isn't actual belief in a way.

Then the big fishes, Aegis Sanctum Lorai. They claim to govern the Aegis and stand atop the world itself, spreading 'justice' across it. They're compareable to the 'law', so to say. However, the Aegis Sanctum Lorai has something unique. It is formed by the leaders of each of the factions, as each one has a representative. Of course, the bannished ones are the Lost Ones from this organization.

Not too long ago, perhaps a month before the story of Velrune, the Lost Ones had announced war against the Aegis Sanctum Lorai. This would become the second grand war on the Aegis, that might cause many lives to be lost, if not even destroying the Aegis in the process. After this, the Sanctum had come together with it's representatives, seeking out every manpower they can find, in a plan to destroy the Lost Ones once and for all. The problem was however, that the foundations of the Lost Ones are underground. If they would bombard the underground, many of the cities would collapse and be destroyed as well. Another problem is that the Wildkin, which hold elementium, do not take part in this war.

Thus, the plan has yet to be perfected and formed, pretty much.

Back to the main story, Velrune wasn't the guy to think too much about the world's problems, after all. He shrugged these thoughs off of himself with a sigh, as he stretched his arms outward slowly. Then, without even blinking his eyes, he felt something soft push into his back, two arms clamping onto him to embrace him. And there she was, Sophia. "W-Wha-What are you trying to do- give me a heart attack?" He spoke surprised, blushing as he tried to release himself from her cling. She frowned slightly as she let go: "It's called a greeting! Nothing wrong with that ..." So she spoke, grinning towards the end. They were close friends, but Velrune felt very awkward around whichever woman that was close or nearby. He ... Basically wasn't a ladies-man, or not yet, at least. The heart of a child, then again, he was yet only 15 now, just like Sophia.

"So, anything new happening lately?"
"The Skies are changing vastly ... This gives me a bad feeling."
"The skies are changing, hmh? Maybe the Lost Ones are planning something ... I mean they did pretty much declare an Aegis-wide war, y'know."
"I don't care about them, let them do whatever they want..."
"You don't care if you'll live or die? If you die, you won't be able to attempt to soar through the sky though."
"If they come, I'll kick all of their asses!"
"Hmmmmm... With what powers exactly? You have no magic, or a weapon."
"... Well . . . I may not ... Have a weapon, or magic. But, I do have my will!"
"Heh. If only your ambition and passion were enough to save us all."

Awkwardly, Vel let out a sigh as he crossed his arms, rising to his feet to stand up tall. "Tch, you ruined the moment there. You need to learn to not do that more." He spoke, slightly disappointed. It's kind of true though, for him. She let out a chuckle, as she replied with a peer. "Well, maybe you should have a more realistic view on things?" Then, she stood up as well to try and irritate him a bit.

The winds started picking up, and sadly for Vel, he was standing literally on the edge of the top of that tower's platform. The wind only, was more than enough... It blew fiercely, and in the blink of an eye, Vel lost his grip on the floor, dropping backwards slowly. Everything seemed to slow down, as Sophia's eyes widdened, trying to stretch her hand to him even if she'd fall along. But, Velian couldn't reach it. Then, he dropped down from the tower, it was perhaps 100 meters tall, he couldn't possibly survive. Crashing down at an increasing speed, he bashed through the roof of a warehouse. Luckily enough it was wood, and it did somewhat soften the blow, but the impact dealt a lot of damage. He crashed into the warehouse on the ground, as the people didn't know what just happened. No matter, they rushed towards him immediately.

"VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!"

The shout echoed through the whole capital, perhaps even till the forest. Sophia's tears dropped as she couldn't even see him lay anywhere at the bottom. Then, out of nowhere, a stranger covered by a black mantle walked into the warehouse. The shrouded individual leaned above him, to take a good look. Then, a smirk was visible for Vel. The blood started flowing into his mouth slightly, he was paralyzed and couldn't move. He had his eyes wide open, and the last he saw was that one smirk, and the words: "Congratulations, boy... You're the chosen one to guide us. Welcome" Then, he lost consciousness, his eyes swiftly closing.

~A While Later . . . ~

"What ... Is this place? It's so dark, I can't see anything- Ngh! Bright light! God that hurts my eyes... Shoo, away with you! Tch, I can't move my body ... I'm just in a random white space, am I now? What the hell am I doing here? I need to get back to Sophia, she's probably crying since I fell down a few meters... But I can't move- Damnit!" So he spoke to himself. Velrune could indeed do not a single thing. Then again, he did fall down a 100-meter tall tower, it was to be expected. The miracle is how he still lives right now. The stranger that had picked him up had the voice of a woman ... But none that he recognized- Then again, he was bad around women, he could hardly even listen to them without getting a bit awkward, so remembering a voice would be odd for him to do.

His eyes flashed open, as he looked around swiftly. He could only use his eyes, not even moving his head was possible. He was tied up on a table of sorts, a syringe to provide him blood so he would live, many people around him doing all kinds of crap so he'd survive. The mantle-covered woman pulled off her mantle swiftly as she walked through a door that was blocking off the rest of the access to the room. Wow, she was ... Pretty good looking. Even Vel himself was thinking that, but only shortly, since he felt a load of pain running through him. He only got a short glance of the woman. Fair bust, pretty much a curved lady to keep it simple. Red hair, fiery red, in a ponytail that reached till about her waist. Simple clothes to cover herself up, and a serious look and flame in her eyes, seemingly. Passion? For what, though?

She seemed to have smirked before he closed his eyes again. There was a cut in his chest, an open-heart operation? She pulled forth a box as Sophia stood behind her, frowning and worrying her ass off like any good friend would at a moment like this. "Y-You can help him right? You can save him can't you? Please..." She asked desperately. Without the hesitation, the redhead let out a sigh. Why so many questions? If she was more quiet the doctors could focus. "You're disturbing the doctors at their work, be quiet." She replied with a slightly irritated tone to her voice. Then, she pulled out a small box. As she opened it, it held a small black crystal. It was seemingly a shard of something greater ...

"M-M'lady- Are you going to give it to this boy? He's just a ki-"
"Don't doubt my judgement. He is the chosen one ... He will lead us all away from extinction and the armageddon. Do you understand? I have no other choice but to give him this."

Chosen one? Lead them away from extinction? Vel heard it vaguely but he heard it right. Chosen for what, exactly? What the hell was going on? She walked over to Vel, standing at the side of the table as one doctor quickly moved aside to give her place. "I'm going to insert it ... Nobody is able to survive taking in a Shard of the Obelisk, but I believe he will. If he is the chosen one, he will now prove it!" She spoke. Then, slowly inserting the crystal shard into his heart, and closing it up, they would only have to wait a few seconds before something would happen, other than Sophia rushing towards Elena to stop her. Of course, she had been way too slow.

Then, a force erupted from him. The doctors flew towards the walls, nobody could stand on the ground just like that. It just kept coming, almost as if his energy awakened and he had an infinite supply. Vel had no magic whatsoever, until now... From his chest outward, his skin started to turn darkly purple, almost as if something was trying to take over his body. It slowly spread more and more, starting to grow across his body. Nobody could do anything, they had to stand by and wait. Vel tried to fight it in his mind, but he didn't know how to stop it. His body was completely covered, the only thing remaining were his eyes. The dark purple started to grow into his eyeballs, one of his eyes fading away, and the last eye remaining by it's pupil... It was over.

Suddenly, a flame of passion shone in his remaining eye, a burst of light released, creating an immense blast of force that caused the building to almost explode, and a bright blinding light that nobody could see through. After the light faded, the light of the sun in the sky shined into the building. Elena slowly opened her eyes, looking upward. The 3 of the walls had been obliterated, along with pretty much the whole roof. What happened? Other than some small bruises, nobody had been hurt from the eruption of power- Where was Vel? Where is he? She rose to her feet, rushing outside of the remainder of the building, now quite much ruins.

There he stood, with his palm stretched towards the sky as he clenched it into a fist. Something was odd though, he had a sinister purple aura around him, and his hair had the colour which that crystal shard had. The pressure felt strangely intense, but how? Did this mean he survived it, AND took in it's latent and hidden powers, perhaps? No, he simply survived, and was in a short state awakened by the crystal. "You ... What is your name, boy?" She asked, with an utmost surprised look on her face. Vel lowered his hand, as he turned his neck to look towards the woman. "I'm not a boy ... The name's Velrune. Vel's fine by me"

Vel had changed. He just talked to a woman normally, he wasn't shy about it either. The stare in his look seemed like a part of him had died, yet the passion in his eyes seemed to be almost like the illusion of a dragon about to gobble her up and devour her. Such great passion and power this boy held ... Was this his actual potential? Velrune may have had magic from the very start! That's right- Nobody exactly explained magic yet.

Magic is claimed to be the potential and the form of one's heart in the shape of power. Either one is born with the power stored deep inside, requiring it to be awakened after an event, they don't have magic, Or they can be given magic by another, forcefully implementing and awakening that person's power. Thus there were 2 possibilities for Vel's case: Either he already had hidden powers, or the obelisk shard had forced him to awaken something.

Sophia simply sat inside, staring outside towards Vel's changed appearance. What the- His wounds healed? He was standing normally, and the cut on his chest that he had was gone. Did it heal that fast thanks to the doctors? No, that shouldn't be possible. Then again, the Aegis has proven many times that nothing is impossible, has it not? The Aegis has it's secrets, and the Obelisk is one of them. If only this small shard caused this much commotion, what would happen if a bigger piece had been given, or the obelisk would activate itself? Would the capital blow up, or even worse, the Aegis itself? Nevertheless, Vel was alive, and she was glad, even though she blamed herself for the drop he made. Vel smirked as he saw her peering worried, but then collapsed as the aura and his hair changed back to normal. Elena was just in time to catch him, luckily enough.

Chapter Two: Path To A New World

Vel slowly opened his eyes after the event that took place not too long ago, he felt like he was laying on something soft but had no idea what. As he opened his eyes he blushed awkwardly, seeing Sophia's sleeping face above him. Was he laying on her lap? Well that didn't really matter right now. The question was if he was actually alive, what the heck happened that last day, and if it was truly yesterday it happened or not. Yet even though he thought of all that, this situation was still ... Very awkward, to state the least. He tried concentrating on the foremost or rather more important things for now. He tried to get up, but felt the agonizing and shocking pain across his body, so he'd have to be very slow and calm. No sudden moves prefered, that meant. As he rose to his feet slowly, he noticed he first of all didn't have a shirt left on him, but was covered in bandages instead. A bit too tight, perhaps ...

They had just been laying on a matress, in a small room. Seemed like it was just a guest room for someone to spend a night and to then move on, y'know? Then, the door sweeped open, as Elena was there with a slight smirk from her lips. "So, you're awake, hmh? It was about damn time" She said, crossing her arms. ". . . I have some questions- But before that: Why did you put me and Sophia together, on a bed, alone, and what day is it?" He asked, curiously, yet with a serious face towards Elena. Well, he did want some answers, I mean who wouldn't after such an experience? However, these were the small things he wondered about. "Hmh? You two looked like a couple so I thought it'd be all right, really. And if you're that curious ...

It's been a week and a bit since you dropped out on me that day."

"C-Couple? We're just childhood friends, that's why it might look like that but ... No, not a couple *Cough*- Wait, did you just say a week?" He said shyly, then surprised as hell. Had he been out for over a week already? It felt like a short nap for him somehow. "A week and a few days." She said, as if it was completely normal. His eyes widdened, but only very shortly, then he blinked once more in surprise. He let out a deep sigh, not sure how to work with this at all. Not like he'd ever been knocked out for a week before. "What happened exactly? Or rather to the outside world, did anything change? Or are we even still in the capital-" He started rambling questions, as Elena stretched her finger to motion him to be silent for a minute.

"The Lost Ones have made their move. They heard about someone having awakened the Obelisk Shard's powers. The Sanctum are coming for you as well, I'm sort of one of their members. You are our chosen knight of light, the one that will guide the Lost Ones away and to mock the dark king that they may find one day. We are not in the Capital anymore, you could say. It's more as if we're in an outer edge in a small town, yet it's still big ... Let's just say we're still in the area. Don't worry though and be a bit more calm, you'll strain yourself more at this rate. The Shard's awakening pretty much 'exploded' it's power throughout your muscles and every single fiber in your body, so it's natural you were knocked out for over a week.

Anyway, sit down and wake up that girl, from here on I'll explain everything properly..."

Explain everything properly? That's just what Vel wanted to hear from her. He wanted to know everything that was going on. Chosen one? That's just nonsense. The only thing Vel took as a given was that he had been chosen to live onward, however, he didn't think for what he'd live. This would be being the 'chosen' one. But did she just say she was with the Sanctum? Does that mean he'll be used as a type of slave or lackey for them? Or will he rise above and show his power to the world? Who knows, Elena was supposed to explain, but all this thinking disrupted her. She tapped her foot against the ground impatiently, waiting. Right, Vel forgot to wake Sophia up. She was involved, and had to know it as well. He turned around towards Sophia which was leaning against the wall asleep, then poking her cheek a few times. "Sophia... Hey .... Wake up .... Wake up, damnit!" He said, increasing the volume of his voice. Opening her eyes, she rushed forward, pretty much an inch away from his face now as Vel blinked his eyes. "V-Vel! You're alive!" She said relieved, pretty much choke-hugging him. Vel then pushed her off of himself, his body hurts too much right now for that kind of stuff.

He let out a sigh, taking a seat on the bed next to Sophia, then peering towards Elena as he replied to Sophia first: "Of course I'm alive ... Just who do you think I am? I won't go down just like that!" With that statement, Elena laughed. "Actually you should be dead, if I hadn't saved you that is. Or perhaps not, I'm not even sure anymore ... But now that she's awake, I can probably explain it to the both of you. Even if you won't get it now, you will one day understand. Treat it as a lesson and pay attention, basically. How you will interpret this may decide your future." She said in a serious tone, glancing right into their eyes. They both nodded slowly, curious of what she'd explain and say exactly. Elena then seemed to take a deep breath in, before she'd start explaining. Meaning, it was going to be long enough to make her take a breather inbetween the explanations, most likely.

"The crystal I put in your heart is a piece of the Obelisk in the Capital's temple. You must be aware that the Obelisk is claimed to be One of the origins of the Aegis, it made the capital's shape what it is now, aside from the buildings of course. It also holds strange, unknown and fierce powers beyond our understandings ... There was one incident long ago that caused a part of the obelisk to crack and burst, spreading small shards, like this one, across the Aegis itself. Explorers and even other random people walking around found them and came across them. However, most didn't realize what it was and where it came from. They either sold it, wore it as a jewelry, or some even ate it, resulting in their deaths. I myself had found one shard and kept it secret for the Sanctum. Only those doctors that operated you were aware of it, or rather 'my people'. The Sanctum assumed a 'chosen one' may appear one day, a man from the Dalandre that would be able to hold a force of the Holy Light, or equal, or even beyond the matter...

Meaning, the chosen one would have a large capacity. Other than that, the chosen one would not die in a situation where another would be dead as heck. In your case, falling off that tower. Nobody is supposed to survive a 100-meter drop without the use of magic or tools to stay stuck on that tower. You survived it, it makes you a great candidate. After the response you gave towards the shard, you overtook it and made it's force your own. This makes you our Chosen One. You are the one capable of taking down the Lost Ones and their possible Dark King. You can save the Aegis, and only you... The question would be however, if you are willing to fight, willing to become stronger, to face hardships, to work with us, to carry the burden of the shard on your shoulders... I will train you to use your magic. After all, the shard gave you magic, one other than the shard's power that is. Fire. During your sleep the flames seemed to come out as you breathed.

So, will you join me and train under me to be able to fight them? That's the question.
And indeed, I am expecting an answer, preferably 'Yes' or 'No', Velrune."

Whew, that was a lot to take in at once for a guy that never got involved with these kind of things or choices. Magic, he finally had some. Even though he claimed before he'd beat up all of them without any power other than his own, he knew now all too well he would never be able to say it again. Reality hit him, he was left with no other choice than to use the power he had gotten. Both the Shard and his magic would be required for this 'quest' or mission of his. Sophia grabbed hold of his hand with both of hers, staring into his eyes as Velrune simply looked. "I'll support you with whatever choise you make..." She said. At least she was honest with herself. But what about Velrune? He wasn't sure what to do. He could save the Aegis by himself? What a load of crap! If he required training, it wouldn't be by himself, would it now? He'd be fighting together with the Sanctum, with Elena, and even Sophia to protect the Aegis, he wasn't alone.

"I ... I'll decide after you've trained me. As I am now I am not in a state of making such a grand decision that can decide the Aegis's fate... And, I'm not alone: The moment you said you'd train me, I wasn't alone in the fight anymore!"

Elena smirked, that's all she could right now. What an infatuating boy, he decided to find his own way around her question to give an odd answer. So, training first? Guess she wouldn't be holding back then, after seeing the burning passion and resolve in the boy's eyes. Velrune was strong, perhaps not yet in terms of magic, but his personality and will were strong! However, what kind of training would it actually be? Pure old muscle training and things like that? Well no it had magic involved, it couldn't be THAT easy, right? Perhaps they'd visit a tribe to help him out a bit or something like tha- It wasn't time for roadtrips, Elena said she herself would train him on her own. Then, breaking him from his thoughts, Elena spoke: "... Regarding your training, I will pretty much teach you how to force out your magic to use it, and how you can bend around your magic to make use of it. The technique and skills you will learn will all be depending on yourself. I won't teach you any techniques, because you probably will have a different manner of fighting." So she explained shortly.

Then she stretched her hand out towards the two with a smile.

"Welcome to a New world. This is not the Aegis you have formely known anymore, in a way. You've now found a new side of it, perhaps what you can consider the 'dark' side of life. Now you two walk in a world of danger, combat and magic, you will be confronted with death and unknown terrors of sorts, but also with the warmth of others. This is the real Aegis that you will learn to know slowly, bit by bit, this is what it has always been like, no matter what stories have been told. Every tribe and every side is aware of this fact, from the moment they start getting involved with magic ... Well, perhaps not the Naturalists, but then again, the Wildkin don't walk outside their area, others do.

Welcome to the true Aegis, and also, welcome to my side, the Aegis Sanctum Lorai"

Chapter Three: Art Of Magic

After all the explanations and the bonds that had been forged, Vel and Sophia simply followed Elena, till they ended up in a wide-spaced forest of sorts. This was not in the territory of the wildkin, so there wouldn't be any problems regarding them, at least. This was a known spot of the Sanctum, used by others before to perform their training or just to take a good ol' breather and a break here. It would however be occupied by the two of them, Sophia didn't have any magic, so she didn't really have to stay here. "Sophia, it might get dangerous. Could you get me some food perhaps? I haven't eaten in a long while." Vel spoke with a smooth smile, trying to convince her to leave for a bit. Sophia simply gave a short and prompt nod as she walked off, thinking she was actually requested to do such. Well, it was a bit of both, actually.

Elena crossed her arms as she stared towards him. "How smooth. I thought you weren't good with women, boy?" She said, with a slightly mocking tone and a firm grin on her face. It seemed to be an enjoyable situation to her. "She's not really that grown to be deemed a woman, though... We've been friends since we were children, it would be odd if we didn't converse properly." He said normally. Well, wouldn't it be odd if they felt awkward around each other after say ... 10 years of friendship and bonding? That aside, they were supposed to train here, Elena was getting a bit off-topic, really. "Shall we get started? If I truly am the savior, then I want to see my own power for myself ... And for that, I need your aid." Elena let out a short chuckle as the boy seemed oh so impatient, although she couldn't blame him for it either.

"Do you know what magic is, Vel?"

"Eh ... I didn't expect I'd get an exam first, really. Magic is magic, what's there to know about?"

"Heh ... Magic is the recreation of one's feelings, the shape of their heart. When one awakens their magic, it's said that what their heart thinks at that time, your honest and true feelings, form the magic that you will live with. Your power and magic that you'll use is also influenced by your emotions, most of the times. If you have enough control over yourself, you're more likely to be balanced. For whatever feelings you had, you're ending up with the magic we're going to try to force out with this training. You can't use your own magic if you don't know what it is, right?"

Vel let out a sigh. More explanations, yet he'd need them if he wanted to do anything whatsoever. Now he had the idea of what magic actually was, simply making him more curious about what power he held. Other than the Shard's power, he had his own magic within him, which got awakened thanks to that shard. What was it he held? He didn't remember that day, so he couldn't judge his gained magic off of the emotions he had then. It didn't matter, he'd soon learn anyway, very soon even. She walked up to him, motioning him to stretch his palm out, then planting her foot between his and spreading them apart, to make him hold a more wide stance. "Visualizing is the first step. Think of a bright flame, and think of that flame as your magic. That is the most simple way I can exmplain it. Also, if you hold your arm with your free hand your magic will have a faster circuit."

Vel stood in the widdened stance with his palm stretched, using his free hand to grab onto his wrist so the 'faster circuit' would be formed as she suggested. It could help him force his magic out faster, after all, but it'd be more exhausting as well. Taking a deep breath, he closed his eyes. In his mind, something flickered. A bright flame, so bright, yet no color. He didn't know what it was that he was seeking. What was the colour of this flame- Yet did That even matter? He wasn't looking for a color, but his magic. All it did was being bright, yet it had the shape of a flame. It was shining white, or in terms of magic, colorless, really. Then, he tried to 'feel' the flame within himself to have it be more realistic. His palm twitched on the outside as Elena blinked her eyes. "Could he already have it? Most people take weeks to just get to a firm visualization..." Yet ... Nothing happened. All that Elena had felt was a slight push of something, which was presumably pure magical force...

10 long hours he tried, exhausting and expending every ounce of energy in his body. Yet he failed, and couldn't do anything other than creating a gust by releasing just his magical force. That was also straining to the body, those that don't have an element also exist, and they tend to feel as if they're being tortured just by using their own magic. Yet those people have no choice. Perhaps he was a forsaken one, or something else. Perhaps he just didn't have a magical element, or he had magic that nobody knew of, perhaps one that adapts to his feelings ... Nah, that's a load of crap. Those other people do have magic, just . . . Bothersome magic. There is word of a 'special' element that they had discovered and added amongst the 'common' known elements of magic.

This was claimed to be used by the Senjoudo. They were a few of the very first beings to set foot on the Aegis or to be born there, rather, after all. Perhaps Arcane was the same as the element-less magic, but then harder to complete and achieve? He didn't have such a thing, that was for sure. Else he would've felt it... But what is this colorless flame his mind creates and shows him? What element is it? What is his magic? He was too exhausted and could only think as he laid on the ground on his back, peering right through the leaves of the trees and viewing the sky as a piece of art, like he usually did. "You got pretty far on a first day, kid. Don't worry about it, most people can't even push out magic in a few weeks. Get some rest, we'll continue tommorow." Elena spoke, smirking a little as she tried to praise him. Vel slowly pushed himself up with a slight cough, walking over to the house he had been assigned from now on.

Sophia was already asleep like a rose on the bench, and the bed was clean. She did indeed buy a load of snacks, he judged by the size of the bag of groceries laying next to her. He whipped out a sandwich, devouring it whole in a second or three, then laying down on his bed with a pant. Restless, he felt like he couldn't sleep. Then again, he did burn out his energy by trying to blow out some magic. It was a waste, so he felt, but at least he knew he could do a bit of something. It wasn't completely useless, after all. Good, right? Oh well. He slowly closed his eyes as the darkness enveloped him and his mind, performing a shutdown to go asleep.

Then, his eyes opened again. It was like he had been awake, laying still and doing nothing, yet he felt as if he had rested a good while. It was morning, the sun shone brightly, and he smelled food. Breakfast... It was already served on the table, Sophia just finished. "Morning. Bear with me, I'm not sure if it's good or not..." She spoke with little confidence. He let out a laugh as he took a seat and simply chucked it down.

A sole smirk he gave her, already heading off to train. He felt strong today, refreshed, reborn, even. Today he'd get something out, no matter what. Then again- why was he imagining fire? What if it wasn't fire he was going to burst out? What if that little gust of force he released was something else? No matter, he'd have to train to get it through with anyway, so he arrived back in the forest. "You're early. You seem quite eager to get this started, though ... Heh. Interesting." She said smoothly as she eyed him up and down. Something was different today, it didn't matter what, but it made a great change. Perhaps Vel was the type to grow by practical experience exponentially?

"This boy ... He's special. Is it the obelisk that is boosting his progress exceptionally, or is it just that which is laying dormant within him starting to rise? He has potential, oh so much that I can't even imagine what he'll be like in a year from now. Vel, you're pretty unpredictable in a good way..." So she thought, as she motioned him to start going already. He once again spread his stance up a bit, stretching his palm and using his other hand to grab hold of that palm's wrist. He closed his eyes, feeling a unique power surge through his body completely. It was as if he was one with the nature, in spiritual balance, all that kind of jack, he just felt goddamn good, that's what.

He then thought of it. Neither fire nor wind, perhaps together they will be pinned. Not apart but strong together, arms in arms, hand in hand, fan of flames and of wind. That's what he though, and it was simple like that. He tried to imagine that, a vision of flames and the sky united together. Then he opened his eyes as magical force pumped through his veins and his arms, causing them to appear to muscle up for a very short moment, releasing a burst of magic from his palm that caused a flash to appear. "SKY FLAME!" Elena closed her eyes for a moment and upon looking, she saw it.

A flame's shape was clearly visible, yet it had an odd sense to it ... Slightly green, and waving oddly, yet it didn't appear to be vast. She blinked her eyes as she felt an unnatural breeze of wind surrounding Vel. Vel's magic, the bounding of the sky's winds and the flames of a demon: Sky Flame!

Chapter Four: Combat Training, Mysterious Growth!

"Sky Flame ... I can't believe he's got such a rare element. He has two in one- but he more likely can't split them up ... However it is a very effective combi, he's got some good fortune with him, heh." So she thought to herself as she smirked. This was indeed very surprising, this element probably hadn't been brought forth by Anyone yet. So he was the new guy, the first 'owner' of such an element. The founder? Not really, just the lucky guy. "Congratulations . . . Or so I would like to say. You've awakened a good element, but, the real hell, starts after today." She said with a slight laugh.

Vel panted as he peered at her curiously. What did she mean with that? Surely this was just the beginning, did that mean the hell refers to his following training? The gusty flame poofed away out of his hand as he plopped down onto the ground, releasing a sigh. "Get some good rest, you'll probably need it ... The awakening of your magic might've been slow and harsh, but the actual training to make you able to fight with it and use it is like hell compared to your last work..." She said as she let out a sigh as well. Surely he had found his magic, but that didn't mean he could be able to use it that easily.
"Oh dear lord..."

With that, a swift night and the new rise had passed. A new fresh day awaited Vel, or at least it would be fresh till his training started. He arrived back at the training area, spotting her. "Yo. You're gonna learn to block my magic, or at least you will have to if you want to live." "Wait, What?" Then without answer or more questions, a fireball got shot at him as he blinked his eyes. He jumped aside as it dispersed already. "WHAT THE HE- ARE YOU CRAZY?" She laughed shortly, not hesitating to throw the next after her short answer.

"Yes, you should know that by now. You've two choices: Dodge, or block. You can't dodge forever, though..."
"WHA- But ... I can't block forever either! That's silly, how can I do anything if I can't dodge or block anymore!"
"Well said. Figure it out!"

Aaaand there came the fireballs again- Oh god! Vel dashed around, ducking down and rolling all over the place to just try not to get hit by them. They were weak though, was she holding back? Well, else he'd probably be dead so ... Then he stood still, deciding to face her, this time it was TEN TIMES LARGER- OH CRAP! He stretched out his palm, taking a short breath, then bursting out his magic, or trying at least.
"I DON'T THINK SOOOO!" He shouted, as a flicker of his sky flame busted out, then releasing a short explosive force that caused the fireball to split. "You didn't block it." She said, as a new one came right after the other one had split, Vel desperately crossing his arms and taking the full blast, flying backward. "That's better!"
