Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The situation had gone from worse, to hopeless... Zachary had wounded himself due to the backlash of Regulus Blaze, his target having been in his face the whole time made it impossible to fight back. Though his spell did damage him better than anything else, the cooldown time to recharge it was too long. Zachary was stuck and wounded far worse, feeling his arm ache and his body throbbing with pain. He slowly knelt up, his legs wobbling but forcing balance, his right hand holding his arm from the pain.

It was at that time the sergeant offered Zachary and now Marcus was nearby, a choice. To surrender to them, and be taken in as prisoners, or to fight to the death and if they won, they would go free. Still the chance of Zachary dying was very high. He was far too hurt and without Jirachi, he couldn't even recover. He tried to stand up further, but ended up dropping to his knee. He gritted his teeth in resignation, not wanting to give up but knowing the fight was one sided. Live today... fight tomorrow...

He let out a heavy sigh as he glared at the bosco sergeant and commander. "I... I surrender..." Zachary said, saying the very words hurting his pride as a Fairy Tail member. He felt ashamed to ever give up, but he knew survival was one thing his guild would want for him. He could very well throw his life away, but Larkin for one would be most displeased. He did promise Larkin, he would not dine. To live today and fight another day was the best option. "It's clear if I continue, I am as good as dead. Fine. You win..."

The words stung him as he knelt there, his resolve crushed. Elsewhere he could only hope Jirachi was moved out of the vicinity of the city, which he likely was. If he ever broke free he would find the little guy again. Still, this was the end of Zachary's battle. Surrounded and outmatched, he could launch another Regulus spell, but the results wouldn't be enough to finish him. He could only hope his guild would forgive him, that he failed to save the city.

Never, ever, Marcus expect for things to go so wrong. He didn't exactly expect their forces to win without any losses, but to be destroyed like this, to be reduced to nothing but a rabble of panicked soldiers fleeing for their lives was nothing short of pathetic. Even as Marcus called for them to hold firm, they completely ignored him, they fled, trampling each other as they mad a mad dash towards the inner catacombs of Coreopsis.

Marcus didn't run however, he stood in his stop, fighting soldier after soldier that advanced on him. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't succeed, there was no chance. Wounds accumulated on Marcus, his shield arm was numb from the constant blocking, he had two broken fingers on his spear arm, and a dozen or so assorted bruises on his arms and chest. Blood and sweat traced down his face, blinding him and hampering his fighting. He dodged a sword and kicked the soldier in the gut. He looked around him and to his astonishment, he found himself to be one of the last soldiers remaining. There were only a few others who had followed his example and fighting the Boscan troops.

He finished off his last Boscan soldier, when he turned he found himself completely surrounded. All around him, Boscan forces surrounded him, pointing their weapons at his chest. Marcus stood there with a shocked expression on his face.

That's it, he's dead. There was no way out of this. No clever plan. No tricks, no ploys. Nothing. Just himself, surrounded by a mob of enemy soldiers all of them poised to skewer him. Oddly enough though, it wasn't fear of death that overwhelmed him, it was a memory of a promise he made just before he left. He had promised Laura that he'd come back safely. It seems he won't be making good on that promise.

If he was going to die, he might as well die fighting. He hefted his spear, preparing to charge at the troops when he heard a familiar voice, it was the voice of the sergeant he faced before. He turned to find not only him, but Zachary, lying on the ground. Zachary seemed horribly wounded, but what really struck him was the sergeant's wounds. Though his wounds were no
nothing compared to Zachary, they still signified something. A fighting chance. In many ways, their fight with the sergeant was much like the battle with Bosco. They gave their best shot, but they lost against an adversary who was much more powerful and skilled than them. However, they managed to wound him. Wounds meant someone could be injured and weakened. The ability to be wounded is weakness and mortality. He was stronger than them, but that was it. This man, and by extension, Bosco, are mortal, and they can defeat them.

The sergeant offered them two choices, surrender or fight him to the death. Marcus stood silent as he observed the proceedings. His eyes widened as they ordered an attack on the sickbay, ordering the troops to kill the medical staff first. Cowards! Those filthy, loathsome piles of scum! Those are injured men and women! And the medical team! It was common practice during war to not kill the wounded or the medical team. Those were off-limits. To attack them was the lowest thing an officer could do. It was nothing short of vile and inhuman.

Marcus had just witnessed how low Bosco could sink, he had just witnessed the inhumanity of these men. None of these men deserved to live, none of them. As far as Marcus was concerned, they're a waste of human flesh. His jaw clenched and for a frightening moment, Marcus was about to charge head-on into the army. He didn't care whether he died, as long as he killed as many Boscans as possible.

But one small thought rang in his head. His promise. He now had the choice to keep it. As much as he wanted to kill them all, Marcus wanted to keep his promise. The thought of leaving Laura and Mika like this was selfish of him. He would live for now, he could sate his bloodlust soon after.

"I'm sorry Laura," Marcus muttered, too low for anyone else to hear. "I'll just be a bit late coming back home."

He stared the sergeant straight in the eye, and with an air of unmistakable pride. He sheathed Iustita and laid it on the ground along with his shield.

"I surrender." He said calmly.

He didn't kneel, he didn't bow, and he never lowered his gaze. Marcus would retain his dignity, even as prisoner of war. Marcus would stand tall and proud.

The sergeant sighed and turned his back to those two. "So boring. Surrendering isn't going to win you this war. But I guess that's all you people are good for." he dryly commented as he exited the corporal's field after the latter cancelled it. "Tie those two up. Remove all their equipment and bind both their arms and legs. The brown haired one is a mage, make sure to use restraints that block his magic." he ordered his troops who went on to do as they were told. They removed Marcus' armor and weapons and placed cuffs on both of their arms and legs. Zachary's ones had a faint glow, blocking his magic and rendering it impossible for him to use any of his magic. "This has been a waste of time. Spread out, move around the city in small groups. Don't try to take on more opponents than you can handle, this isn't a valor contest." the captain ordered. "Yes, sir!" the soldiers saluted him and soon, everyone had left the plaza. "Just because we are leaving you here alone doesn't mean we aren't watching. Take one step outside this plaza and it will be off with your heads." the sergeant warned the two prisoners just before leaving.

The group that left for the sickbay had finally arrived outside it. Fiore's troops were outmatched, a fight was going to break out any second. If nobody interfered with them, the medical staff was going to be eliminated without a trace.

A great part of Bosco's troops stood outside the sickbay. Several other parts of its army were scattered around the city, looking for any survivors and scouting the area. A smaller part of Fiore's army was stationed outside the sickbay, and a battle broke out before long. Its outcome was inevitable, with less than half the numbers of Bosco, the troops outside the sickbay were mercilessly slaughtered. They couldn't escape, they couldn't risk letting the army advance inside. The doctors and nurses were trying to evacuate as many patients as they could, but their numbers were limited. With nobody outside to assist Fiore's troops, they didn't last for more than a few minutes. The troops broke inside the sickbay, killing all of the medical staff they found in front of them, as well as the injured soldiers. As for the civilians, they killed those as well. The only prisoner they took was a small, strange creature, previously left in the building by a certain star mage. The first lieutenant found it intriguing, so he made his troops capture it and put the same magic-restricting handcuffs as its master on it. Who knows, it might prove to be useful.

Outside the sickbay and all around the city, small scale battles were breaking out. Some were in favor of Bosco, others in favor of Fiore, but the greatest majority fell under the former category. This part of the city had fallen, despite the valiant efforts of the entire army and a select few. They did their utmost best, but it simply wasn't enough. Perhaps they would redeem themselves in the battles that were to come.
