Zachary was about to use his strongest spell, Regulus Blaze, however, to his horror someone jumped out out of no where to intercept the blast! It was none other than the sergeant he as fighting only minutes ago! Zachary's eyes widen with shock and confusion. Realizing the spell was too close, he immediately tried to stop it. The lion that had begun to form quickly faded, stopping the assault before Zachary could complete the spell. The enemy was now far too close and would risk Zachary in the blast as well. In a show of alarm, he flew backwards, gaining as much altitude as he could to get distance from the creepy sergeant! After getting some distance, Zachary sneered at the man. "What the?!" Zachary gasped, still stunned. The man had followed him, while he was flying fast no doubt and was able to catch up with him on foot. Or did this man have the ability to fly himself?! "Damn it. You really aren't going to let this fight go..." It was clear leaving the fight to take on the soldiers was no longer an option. It was quite possible that Fiore would lose this fight if more people didn't show up to help along the street here where the Bosco soldiers were coming. We may very well lose this fight... I can't beat this guy and then this city will-- No! Shut up Zachary, he thought to himself, realizing he couldn't think this way. Worrying about the soldiers and the status of the war will only get you killed. It's clear this guy isn't going to find you petty enough to get away. Stop trying to evade him. HE IS your enemy, so focus on him for the time being. With his priorities now in order, his focus came right to the sergeant. He was strong, that much was sure, but he wasn't sure of his extent of power. As for Regulus Blaze, he would save it for later on in the battle, and hope to use it at a key opportunity. "Altaires!!" Zachary shouted, now preparing to fight. He still had a good amount of flight time left, and he had to make it count. With his speed he could easily maneuver in the air, unless his enemy could fly as well. Blades of light, rather transparent blades with points of light forming a blade appeared, like stars in a constellation. Armed with two blades on the backs of his hands, he flew out towards the man's right side, in hopes to deliver a sweeping slash, then he would turn around and deliver another from his left! He hoped he could at least do that. Summary "

The sergeant shook his head in disappointment. "A direct attack? You aren't as fast as you think, boy." he pointed out, easily moving around the boy's obvious attack. He dodged the first one, then delivered a punch at the two swords and easily breaking them the second time around. Finally, he attempted a direct punch at Zachary's face, followed by a leap at him should he try to fly away. The second lieutenant's attack was successful, hitting his opponent straight in the face and tossing him back a few meters. His face was frozen as a result, impairing his eyesight and giving him trouble speaking. The two lieutenants then dashed at each side of Red, attempting to kick him up at the same time. Their teamwork was flawless, there was no way their attacks would hit each other. Back in the frontline, the captain and corporal were left unhindered to attack Fiore's army. Pelting them with a series of spells, they weakened their lines, making it easy for the Bosco army to gain ground. It would only be a matter of time until they took over that part of the city, surrounding the ones fighting nearby. Summary

Houndoom got hit straight in the face, temporarily blinding or impairing a good portion of his vision for the moment while simultaneously knocking him back. He also passed a nasty fart cause he was totally and utterly bored, but also because he could. Fortunately, his pants were spared from the sheer and utter devastation that his ass had imparted upon the world. Not only that, it's a good thing that Houndoom didn't expunge searing hot flames. Though, perhaps if it did that would be a remarkably useful attack. Ass fire which could sear and singe eyebrows would be incredibly lethal, but actually not really cause it's just ass fire, and not an ass inferno. Fortunately, it wasn't too awful cause he would soon relinquish control back over to Red. He was sort of useless in this state, with his vision impaired. It didn't matter if he could talk or not though. After all, he spent at least half of his life mute. Red did his best to avoid getting hit, but upon realization that he would get hit anyway all he could do is block. He wasn't particularly strong or durable, so the hit would likely connect unless Stella was able to do something. Though, he had come to terms with the fact that he was going to get hit, but also that this was a disadvantageous and horribly boring and lame place to be. Summary

Zachary tried to hit him with second pass of his blades, but was shocked to find in his second attempt he shattered the blades of light with his BARE HANDS?! That was impossible. His blades were as strong at least as standard steel. For him to shatter them was unfathomable. Zachary did in fact try to gain distance. He had to give himself distance! The man had tried to jump right in the path of Regulus Blaze but it was his only option now left. If he had to risk getting caught in the blast himself, so be it. With a quick rolling motion, he kicked off from the ground as the man attempted to punch him. As Zachary flew, he was dishearted but not unexpected to see the man jump high into the air. He must of been strong as he tried to lunge for Zachary in mid-air. However, there was one thing he couldn't do. Zachary's meteor spell allowed him to maneuver in the air, not just fly. He could change his direction with ease while the man could only jump in one direction. As the punch came, Zachary reached out to meet the man's punch. He took hold of the arm that came his way and with the man's own momentum, rolled out of the grasp of the punch. The sergeant wouldn't be able to change his trajectory in mid air. Once he did, Zachary aimed his right hand right for the man's face as he now began to fly to his right and away. He kept moving till he had enough distance, even he couldn't change course in mid air. "O grand lion that dwells in the heavens... let the earth tremble before your mighty roar!" Zachary chanted as he flew, facing his target the sergeant. The magic circle of leo appeared before Zachary as he felt the surge of Regulus come to his hands "REGULUS BLAZE!!!" Zachary shouted, unleashing the roaring lion of light. The lion soared through the air aimed for where the man was in the air. The lion of fiery light roared as it tried to reach its target, prepared to explode of struck. Summary

For reasons unknown to Stella Red/Houndoom seemed to zone out in the middle of the fight against the two enemies before them. An attack from the ice mage would land on her friend striking him in the face and causing him to be knocked back while gaining a rather unusual mask of ice but Stella hadn’t felt the ability to merge again returning to her until the moments that followed it. The two Boscan men noticed their enemies moment of weakness and as Red fell out of formation they attempted to charge towards him from opposite sides, Stella however was having none of that. “HEY!”, the figure that shouted out from the ‘sidelines’ wasn’t the same as the one that had been throwing bottles at them moments earlier. Merged with the spirit of a young woman named Yowai Stella stood with much the same physical attributes as her actual appearance (long and straight blonde hair, same complexion and body build) but what was different were the colour of her eyes which were no blue and the attire and equipment she had at her disposal. Now with far less in the way of actual clothing on Stella stood with a decorative headpiece shaped like wings adorning her head, a large shield and a strange looking weapon (see the image I linked above). As she shouted out Stella activated the main magical ability of Yowai and although incredibly risky she deemed it her only way of preventing Red from taking serious injury. Braced in a defensive position with her shield raised Stella magically ‘taunted’ the two enemies that were after her friend and ally (basically they are pulled away from Red during their attack and have to attack her, if it’s a ranged attack then it is attracted to her like a magnetic pull would pull a screw etc). The men could cancel their attack and the taunt effect wouldn’t draw them towards Stella however as soon as they made any attempts to launch an attack on Red or anyone else they could find it impossible. A rank four magical shield of an invisible nature until struck by an attack surrounded Stella as she stood ready to defend not only herself but Red as well and only time would tell if the men were going to go along with her magic’s effect and attack her or decide to cancel their offensive ways in favour of waiting it out. The sergeant grinned. Naive, so, so naive. Did that boy actually think flight was a privilege exclusive to him? How did he think they all managed to get down from the airships without using special equipment? It was a fact that everyone in his unit had magic that let them fly. even if the sergeant's wasn't exactly the best example. Therefore, when the boy thought he was going to get away from him, the sergeant could actually follow him with ease. The speed at which they moved was almost identical, so they found themselves in a situation pretty similar to the one a while ago. Was the boy going to fire his spell with the sergeant right in front of him? "Huh?" "Huh?" the two lieutenants said in tandem when their attacks didn't reach their target. In fact, it was as if some force was preventing them from actually attacking their target. They switched their gazes to that woman, so this was her doing. It looked like they would have to kill her first, she kept interfering with their attacks. The two men glanced at each other then nodded, then split up. The first lieutenant attacked Yowai from the front, while the second one quickly circled around to her back. Flames appeared right below her, and a pillar of them would soon erupt on the spot she was standing on. In addition, the second lieutenant used the technique he used before and surrounded her with several spheres of ice. When the fire hit and she tried to dodge, the ice would fall down on her. Finally, the two men themselves would attack her directly with their fists, wherever she tried to dodge. And if she chose not to move, both spells would hit her, one after another, followed by their physical attacks. Fiore's army struggled to keep the enemy from advancing, but they were clearly losing the fight without proper support. It was only a matter of minutes before they took over the plaza everyone was fighting in. Summary

OOC Marcus had stood there leaning against the pillar, waiting for the corporal to follow. He vaguely wondered if the idea of killing a wounded knight was enticing to him. He could imagine if it wouldn't be the case for someone who followed a code of honor, but the idea of attributing honor to Bosco troops was a little far-fetched. He waited and when he figured out that the corporal wasn't coming for him, he got up and straightened himself out, all pretense of weakness falling away. Honestly, he was a bit disappointed, he was hoping to lure the corporal in this termite infested building to collapse it on him, distracting him long enough to aid Zachary. Of course, Marcus knew how it looked, he was seemingly running away. But he didn't care, when it came to winning a fight, he was willing to do whatever was needed, even if it meant that he looked like a coward. Plus, it was a win-win scenario. If the corporal had followed him, then his original plan would come into effect. And if she leave him, like he had done so now, well that just meant that Marcus didn't have to waste time fighting him. "Ah well." He sighed. He rubbed his skull, the pain was persistent, but dull. But he had no time to rest, he could hear people fighting outside, and his place was at the front lines. Marcus ran out of the building and looked around. Down the street, he could see a some soldiers fighting, a mix of Fiorians and Boscans going at it with one another. Up ahead, a small trio of Boscan soldiers were busy looting a house, away from the fighting. Marcus's fury rose. He took off running towards the three soldiers, shield held high. With an angry battle roar, he rammed right through them, with the element of surprise to his advantage, the Boscan soldiers took the full brunt of the charge. He managed to stab one through the gut as he went by, then slamming another with his shield. Twirling Iustitia in an arc, he hit the third soldier across the head. He finished the last one off by jamming his spear into his neck. Blood spattered his clothes and face, but he didn't care; bloodlust had taken hold of Marcus. With the soldiers down, Marcus turned his attention to the fighting. He ran into the crowd and immediately threw himself into the fray. He stabbed the first person from behind the back, then rammed his shield into someone's forehead. His body went into autopilot, his battle instincts and extensive training taking over. He crushed helmets, slashed exposed necks and bashed faces in. He dodged slashes, parried thrusts and blocked swings. But his condition wasn't perfect. He had blocked so many hits with his shield that his arm was completely numb, and the pain in his skull kicked in at the worst times, dazing him and making his movements sloppy. He had almost died due to this twice, only barely surviving from a combination of swift reflexes and sheer dumb luck. His headache kicked in again, making him cry in pain and clutch his head. A cocky soldier saw this and tried to take advantage of this. He thrust his spear at Marcus. Though he was still slightly dazed, muscle memory took over. He sidestepped the spear and using the soldiers own momentum, he let him run straight into Iustitia, effectively killing himself. Marcus grabbed his fallen spear and threw it at a soldier who was about to kill one of his comrades, landing the spear straight into his chest. Marcus looked to the side, in the distance, he could see two people fighting what he could distinguish were Boscan officers. Marcus was tempted to help them out, but they were moving too fast and with his current condition, he'd be nothing more than a hindrance. He'd be better suited to keep to himself and focus on crowd control. Yet no matter how hard he and the others tried, they couldn't do anything to thin the ranks. For every Boscan they killed, two more jumped in. Then if anything could make things worse, Marcus saw the Boscan army approaching. The knights began to panic, seeing the gigantic army coming for them. Marcus wouldn't have any of that. "STAND FIRM!" Marcus shouted above the noise. "HOLD YOUR LINES! DON'T PANIC!" He needed the knights to stay calm as they faced the threat. They could make a tactical retreat later, but in an organized manner. If everyone panicked and ran away, they could easily pick them off and kill them one-by-one. Summary |

Well Stella’s plan to protect Red had worked but perhaps it had worked too well? She’d been ready for the two men to turn and focus her given that was her whole intention but she hadn’t quite expected the level of attack she received. Both men seemed more then eager to try and defeat the woman that had interfered with their fight against the now undefended Red and no doubt they intended to simply finish him off after she herself had fallen; she wasn’t about to go down without a fight though. The shield that came with her ‘taunt’ ability took the first blow before being broken; a pillar of flames erupted from beneath Stella’s feet but luckily the bubble reminiscent shield protected her from even such a strange angle of attack. Still braced in a defensive position Stella watched the same ice attack from before form around her and in the instant before they would start to enclose upon her the mage used her remaining ability while in her current form. Another shield formed around Stella and once again it was in a bubble shape around her, as the ice spheres struck against the shield’s surface it too was broken however as a few small chunks of ice struck her skin Stella wasn’t left undefended completely. As the shield itself was struck by the ice spheres it absorbed the damage (only up to the shield’s rank which is four) and as it was broken the shield would send out a force of equal power (rank 4 force/mild explosion without flames) in all directions. Having been so close to Stella when the shield broke due to their attempts to follow it up with a physical barrage the pair would be struck by the blast enough to put distance between them and their target. Stella wasn’t stupid and with both her abilities used for her current form she knew that she had to change tactics to avoid being pummelled severely. Yowai’s spirit had done the job she needed her to do so now it was time to change to someone that was more suited to combat against two opponents at the same time; Kasumi. As the blast from her shield was sent out Stella rushed the merger with the spirit of the young female ninja who incidentally happened to be capable of her most powerful bond, she wasn’t going to be able to compete with them in terms of muscle due to the nature of the fight but she now she had speed and agility on her side. Before the two men would regain their focus from the blast that knocked them back Stella was quick to move and make it to Red’s side. How would she have gotten there so fast you might be asking? Well considering that he wasn’t all too far away and the mage had only to travel to her left in a straight line to reach him and having done so at a speed most would call amazing it truly isn’t too hard to believe (70speed). The sounds of the battlefield were drawing closer and closer and Stella knew full well that they didn’t have long before they were swallowed up by the bodies of war, she had to get Red and herself out of there and she had to do so fast. Acting instinctively Stella summoned a sphere of light to the palm of her hand and with careful aim she threw it so that it would hit a place on the ground that would result in the four by four metre prism of light encompassing both Boscan generals. The light would cause the two men a burning sensation in their eyes and it would continue to feel as if they were cutting an onion but the secondary effect of the technique was the one that Stella felt the most valuable. While trapped inside the pair would be unable to see anything out of the four by four metre area of light and because of that Stella wasted no time in making her move. Red’s vision and speech were hindered by the ice like technique he was struck with earlier and so he likely wasn’t too sure what the heck was happening, one thing he knew however was that he was hanging over Stella’s shoulder as being carried along pretty gosh damned fast. In the moments that it would take the two men to recover from the light’s assault to their eyes and to realise that they had to escape the light prism to see anything out side of it (and to do so) Stella managed to turn a corner at the side of a building meaning they would have no sight of the pair or way of knowing where they went. Stella continued her retreat with Red over her shoulder without hesitation and as she made sure to weave through streets and alleyways heading away from the frontlines that pushed further into the city she felt her heart racing faster then it had been in battle. There was something about making an escape that just made her worry, “Red just hang on O.K I’m going to get us out of here”. The voice would wound different to Stella’s own as when in form the spirits own voice was also given to Stella however seeing as he was a takeover mage Red wouldn’t be surprised. Note

Zachary was shocked to find that the sergeant was capable to fly himself. At first he figured he was physically stronger and faster, but not via magic means. Now it seems he knew the truth. This bosco soldiers possessed a flight magic of his own but not one that showed a visual effect like Zachary's own Meteor spell. He had no real choice. He could ether withdraw his Regulus spell and try something else or attack and risk his own injury to damage the man. He was nearing the limits of his magic energy again. He gritted his teeth at his decision. He chose the latter to take the damage, and his enemy with him. The explosion of the Regulus Blaze spell caused a wide flash of light that many could see, and the explosion tearing the air from the blast. Zachary was sent flying backwards from the explosion, tumbling through the air till he fell towards the street below. He landed with a thud and rolled across a few meters down the street. His Meteor spell also had expired, fading from his body. He landed on his stomach, his body scratched up and his clothing torn from the force of the explosion. Struggling he looked up slowly, his hair a mess and in his eyes as he tried to regain some form of composure. Still he was feeling the sting of the injuries he took on from his reckless move. Ow... I wish I had Jirachi with me right now... Zachary thought as he tried to push himself up a little. He looked to where his blast had been set off. He looked hoping to see his explosion had done some damage at the very least. Summary

The two spells hit Yowai directly, yet her two shields reduced the damage to her by a lot. The resulting shockwave pushed the two men back somewhat, giving her enough time to run off with her companion. What was more, she used some kind of trick to cover their escape, this really didn't leave too much room for them to follow. "I'm sure this is going to come back and bite us in the ass later." the second lieutenant pointed out. "Let them go, one or two survivors won't change anything." the first lieutenant shrugged. The two of them returned to the plaza and observed the fight for a while before noticing Fiore's army starting to retreat. They were being overwhelmed by the forces of Bosco, this location just didn't offer them much of an advantage. Not to mention the captain and corporal's attacks were thinning them down considerably. In the end, the only two people remaining in the plaza that didn't belong to Bosco were an injured knight and a star mage. The army entered the plaza and surrounded them, pointing their weapons at their chests. The sergeant stepped forward, several deep cuts across his body, but nothing inhibiting. "Well, well, looks like at least one of your spells can do damage. I would congratulate you on succeeding in dealing some damage to me, but you look to be in much worse shape than I am." he pointed at Zachary. The degree of injuries was like day and night, the sergeant could hardly be called the victim of a powerful attack. "Sir, you are bleeding! Please return to the airships for treatment." one of the foot soldiers interfered. "This? This is only a flesh wound. Just give me some bandages and it will be fine." One of the soldiers, a medic, provided a first-aid kit and tended to the sergeant's wounds. Nothing too much, just to stop the slight bleeding. "Now, what do we do with you two? Even when your friends retreated, you two stayed back. I don't know if that's foolish or valiant. Probably foolish. Since I am in a pretty good mood, I will give you two choices. Surrender to our army as hostages and we will spare your lives. Or, fight against me in combat. If you win, you will be let go. If you lose, I kill you two myself. Should you try to run away, know that there were over a hundred soldiers here ready to slice your chests open. And those are just the ones near you." he offered. "Is that all right, captain?" he turned around and asked. The captain nodded. "This sounds entertaining, a good pastime." he commented. "Sir, the plaza is secured, awaiting your next orders." one of the soldiers saluted the captain and stood at attention. "Let me see, what should we do next... Ah, that's a good idea. Send someone to scout the area for their sickbay, taking out their doctors would be a good move." the captain replied. "Captain, if I may. That mage took his injured companion somewhere before, I presume it was the sickbay. Its general direction was that way." the corporal pointed. "Good, good. First and second lieutenants, you will go there with a force of a hundred men. Destroy the building, let nobody escape. Doctors and nurses are your highest priority, injured men and women, not so much." the captain ordered. "Sir!" "Sir!" the lieutenants saluted and left for the sickbay. "Corporal, provide a nice stage for those three, will you? I'd hate to see any foul play." The corporal nodded at the captain's command and grinned. He raised his hands towards the sergeant and a transparent barrier appeared around him, Zachary and Marcus. It was incredibly durable, far outside the capacity of any of them to break. Meanwhile, the troops of Fiore had split up across several locations of the city, the sickbay being one of them. They took some of their injured survivors there, and the atmosphere was incredibly hectic. Roughly fifty able troops were stationed there, the rest were too injured to fight. Among those fifty, five were corporals, two were sergeants and the rest were privates. Summary
