There wasn't a whole lot Red could do in his current state. As much as he hated to admit it, he wasn't very good or useful in a scrap if he couldn't use his powers. This was a crippling weakness that Red had always acknowledged about himself, one that he wished to rectify. However, seeing as he didn't have the foresight to do this before the war there wasn't anything he could do about it right at this very moment. For now, he had to grit his teeth and bear with it, hoping for the best. The young take-over mage hid behind the cover of some crates, trying to stay out of range of the mage's attacks. At the same time though, he kept a close eye on the enemy Boscan mage. If he couldn't fight right now, then at the very least he could do was analyze how he fought. If he could find any weaknesses then it would prove pretty useful. However, he looked like a skilled and solid fighter, definitely formidable. Not only that, he seemed to equally capable at medium and short range combat. A weakness couldn't be found so easily, at least not yet. Though, Red would soon be able to use his magic once more. It was becoming increasingly apparent that this guy was quite the formidable foe. As Marcus attempted to charge him, he smashed the ground under him before picking up a piece of concrete and throwing it straight at Marcus. When Zachary's star net tried to tie him up to limit his movements, he simply broke it with with ease. Marcus kept charging even as he saw the sergeant heft the slab of concrete at him; he couldn't break momentum. As the concrete flew straight at him, Marcus quickly changed his course and rolled out of the way, activating the talos suit's rocket boosters as he did so. The block of concrete whizzed by harmlessly, but the sergeant had accomplished his goal, he had stopped Marcus' charge. He knelt into a crouching position, as he scanned his opponent. Who is this guy? Marcus thought. Are these the kind of soldiers that Bosco have? A feeling of dread settled in his stomach. If this was only one guy, what about the other footmen? Surely they wouldn't stronger than the sergeant, but if they were only just slightly weaker... No. Marcus wasn't going to allow himself to be defeated by the likes of him. He was a Knight of Fiore, dammit. But things were in a dire state. From past experience, Marcus knew that Jirachi's empowering abilities were only temporary. Soon enough, they would wear off, leaving him in worse state than he already was. He needed to make the most of his current powers, before they wore off. Once that happened, Marcus would have to rely on long range combat, using the Iustitia's gun capabilities to keep his distance as much as possible until he recovered. It would be incredibly difficult, but Marcus was determined to defeat this pathetic excuse for a military officer. Marcus stood up from his crouching position. He hefted Iustitia and Arcem again, preparing himself for another charge. He was getting tired from all this mindless charging, but honestly Marcus had no better choice, he didn't want to use his bullets on him, mostly because he wanted to conserve his ammo. If the sergeant could dodge Zachary's magic, there was obviously the chance that he could easily dodge Marcus' bullets. Then something caught his eye. Zachary had positioned his stars around the sergeant, glowing harshly as they floated in the air. Right above him, Marcus could see a giant magic circle beginning to appear. Immediately, Marcus understood his intentions, Zachary wanted to box the sergeant in, while launching a strong beam from above. It was a smart tactic, one that Marcus could pitch into. Marcus crouched down again. He pressed a button on Iustitia, activating it's gun mode, the blade folded to reveal a gun barrel. Marcus pulled out a flashbang round and loaded it into the gun. He gripped the weapon like a rifle as he took aim. He shot one flash bang round right in front of the sergeant, releasing a loud noise in addition to bright blinding light. The round should distract the sergeant and blind him, leaving him vulnerable to Zachary's attack. At the very least, it would distract him long enough to allow Zachary to finish him attack. The moment Marcus fired the round, he got up again and returned the gunstaff to staff mode. Should the sergeant somehow escape the blast, Marcus would use his enhanced speed to meet him head to head, slashing at him with his weapon. Summary Edited by Marcat, Mar 9 2013, 06:11 AM.

The sergeant squinted his eyes for a moment as the flashbang exploded in front of him. So annoying. The distraction created by it made him unable to notice the attacks headed for him, resulting in him getting hit directly. The resulting explosion created a film of smoke around him, leaving him out of the other two's sight. Heh, a teleportation technique of some sort, huh? The lieutenant had seen his fair share of them in the past, this one was no big deal at all. Then, he noticed the orb coming at him. "Are we playing catch, now?" he mocked the woman, moving his hand in an attempt to swipe the orb away. To his surprise, it passed through his body and back, although it only dealt minimal damage. It was more like a tingle, if anything. Next, he did a sideways motion with his hand, a wall of ice sprouting from the ground. It was roughly 5 meters tall and 30 meters wide, with Ahri currently standing in the middle of it. It separated the two of them, leaving the lieutenant on the same side as the boy with the red eyes. He grinned at him, then charged forward, aiming a punch at his face. "Hey, isn't this a little..." the corporal mumbled. "Unfair?" "Yes, unfair. It's two versus one, after all." the two of them nodded, that fight was a little unfair, even for them. As the smoke started to clear, the sergeant's figure was becoming visible. "Hah!" in a quick dash, he exited the smokescreen and crushed Marcus with both of his fists, hitting him on the head and dropping him to the ground. His armor shatted from the hit, and his body was also severely wounded. "Oh!" "Oh!" the other two reacted in surprise. The sergeant was perfectly fine, there were only a few scratches on his body. "That attack looked much more powerful than it actually was. You are next, boy." he pointed a finger at Zaber. "Corporal, take care of this guy if he gets up. I want to fight this guy one on one." he ordered, to which the corporal complied, moving closer to Marcus. "I guess I'll go look around." the first lieutenant mumbled to himself, leaving the scene to go where the captain was. OOC Note

Zachary's endurance was at his limit. Controlling Macrocosmos for so long had taken his toll and his arms dropped from exhaustion. The magic circle faded as he fell to his knees, taken out from the strain of controlling the stars and using so many spells from them. One by one, the stars faded away as easily as they came, disappearing into thin air. Exhaustion tugged at his limbs, having to maintain his spell and coordinate it for so long. He needed time to regain his energy before he could do any more spells. Even "shooting star' was beyond his attempt at the moment! Both Macrocosmos and Jirachi's Cosmic Power had run its course. To make matters even worse, the enemy only got away with a few scratches! He knew his spell was still in development but the blast should of at least disoriented him. Zachary! Jirachi said in a telepathic cry of concern as the little star creature fluttered before Zachary's face. Jirachi heal! he inquired, prepared to do so. "No... no Jirachi," Zachary said, raising a hand to stop him. The little star looked in confusion as his friend and owner stopped him from healing. "I-I'm fine. Go to Marcus, and heal him, okay? He needs it far more. I'll recover my strength in a while. " Hearing Zachary's instructions, with still a worried look, Jirachi turned from Zachary and quickly went to where Marcus was lying on the ground. Jirachi flew carefully, trying to circle around the enemy and not get too close. As it got into range, Jirachi began to glow in a gentle glow of light and a soft magical melody lifted upon the air. Jirachi cascaded its light over Marcus, casting the spell "Wonder Aura" upon him. As the light twinkled around his body, the wounds Marcus had recieved would slowly heal up over time, at the very least still keeping him combat ready should he muster the will to keep fighting! OOC Marcus watched as his flashbang hit its mark, blinding the sergeant long enough for Zahcary to finish his attack. The celestial blast fell from the sky in a magnificent display of lights, it was as beautiful as it was powerful. The spot where the sergeant was standing was now enveloped in a cloud of smoke, blocking their view. Marcus stood up slowly, staring at the smoke intently. He hoped that their tactic had worked. For a second, Marcus was about sheath his weapon, when the smoke cleared. There he stood, the sergeant, barely harmed at all. It astounded him. How? How could he? Marcus had seen that attack make contact. It was right on target! But there were no answered to be gleaned, he had simply taken the blast. The sergeant attacked Marcus first, and before he could even react, he was hit. A split second before the attack connected, he could see the sergeant's fists come together in front of his face. Marcus didn't have time to blink. His suit did nothing to weaken the blow, the helmet crumbled like tin foil at impact, spider web cracks began to crawl along the helmet. Pain, like nothing he had ever felt before exploded in Marcus' head. He could feel his skull crack from the force of the blow. His vision dulled and went blank. His once intimidating eyes lost their former luster, as if the person behind them was absent. When the sergeant's fists were gone, Marcus stood there dazed. Then crumbled to the ground, lying on his back. He was completely unconscious, blood stained his black hair. Then a warm sensation began to flow through his body. It was soft and serene, like a warm hug... Marcus' eyes fluttered open. He was still dazed and in pain, but he was starting to think more clearly. Still lying on his back, he glanced up to see Jirachi floating above him, glowing in the light. Marcus could feel his strength being restored and his vitality returning. But he was still too tired to move, and his vision was still stunted. He tried to raise his hand weakly. "Ji...Ra...Chi." He whispered. Summary

Steel your mind. Run on instinct.

Stella’s attack struck her opponent but unfortunately it seemed that her orb didn’t pack enough power to be of much use in the battle, if only she hadn’t needed to use her fox fire to escape the attack moments ago…she’d have had some punch to add to the situation then. As a massive wall of ice formed in front of her Stella knew full well what the mans plans would be as the wall of ice formed in front of her and so without a moment’s hesitation the woman began what would be a quick shift between her mergers with spirits. It was a relatively new technique that she’d not long learned to do but it was her only real choice when the fact was; if she didn’t get through the wall then Red was going to get hurt. “Hey! Did I say we were done!?!”, anger evident in her tone Stella charged forwards with her Knight form active. With blade drawn and strength now well above that of the normal person (69 strength) she was growing increasingly angry at the Bosco soldier; how dare he try to hurt Red when he couldn’t fight back! She wouldn’t forgive him for such a cowardly act. Stella's strength collided with the ice wall and in a loud display of power the woman smashed through it while swinging her blade to send an 'air slash' hurtling through the air to cut off the soldiers attack on Red. It wouldn't stop him in his tracks for long but it would stall him long enough for Red to enter a form an avoid being undefended. NOTE Edited by Lightning, Mar 10 2013, 09:50 AM.

The sudden formation of the wall was daunting. It was a massive wall indeed, a thick layer of hard-formed and packed ice. However, it was only daunting to Red himself. To the form he was about to undertake it was little more than a challenge. The powers of ice give way to the sheer, untamed power of reckless fire. The man also came quickly, charging forward. Red did have time to react, but he likely would have been unable to dodge it in his current state. Fortunately, Stella managed to completely save his tail in a spectacular fashion - smashing through the wall in a display of sheer power before interrupting the man's attack. He had to thank Stella for that now, as he wouldn't have time in a moment. Red's control over his body was about to once again come under a temporary halt. "Thank you, Stella. You bought me the time I needed," Red spoke sincerely with a disarming grin. However, that his expression in a moment from now would be a far departure from that. Once more, a brilliant white light enveloped the young mage's form. Then, in an instant, Red disappeared. The being who took his place looked oddly similar, at least in regards to coloration and build. The man was taller, older than Red was, and his hair was significantly longer. His eyes and hair shared the same color, as well as his attire in general also being black red. However, that was where the similarities came to a stop. This wasn't the same country-boy, he wasn't a friendly mage from Lamia Scale any more, especially not with a pair of thick demonic horns on his head. A feral howl resonated throughout the air, a shrill and intimidating cry. The Hellish Hound has appeared. "I will blaze a trail." Unrepentant and merciless to those who wished to harm his pack, a group which he considered Red to be a part of, Houndoom was absolutely willing to unleash havoc and vengeance even if this other mage was in the way. In his hand formed a searing ball of energy, entwined with a mass of rocks and earth. Observing that action would be erroneous, as in an instant and without warning a dark mass of magical energy would blast over where the enemy was standing, pressuring the area with significant force. Occurring quickly, it might prove difficult to dodge, especially considering that Houndoom's speed was significantly higher than Red's own. Following this, the hell hound unleashed the blast that he was containing in his hand a second ago. A pyroclasmic boulder was hurled forward at the area, where upon impact would explode into a hail of fiery fragmentation and heat. Nearby flammable objects would be set ablaze, and the combination attack had a good match against the enemy's own. "The fires of vengeance!" Summary

Zachary tried to stand but it was hard as he was still recovering his strength as Jirachi after healing Marcus softly floated back to him. He couldn't heal but he did the next best thing. His soft cute hands touched his face that tickled a little bit. In Jirachi's cute way, the little guy always knew how to lift people's spirits. However, this was not a situation that merited a lot of joy. If someone from the bosco forces got smart, they could easily pick him off while he was down like this. He was beginning to feel a little better but far from ready to fight at full capacity just yet. All Zachary could do was sit and wait, observing as things played out around them. His mind came to the two others from the Bosco ship that left the sergeant to deal with him and Macrus. He wanted to go and try and find what the others were up to. He could only hope someone was keeping them occupied and keeping them from telling their forces to attack. At that time however, Zachary heard the voices of others. They were both unfriendly and menacing by the sound of them, Zachary looked to find two more men emerge onto the battlefield of the street! Before he knew it the Sergeant designated Zachary, instructing the Corpral to keep him still as he wanted a piece of Zachary for himself. Zachary looked shocked by this. Apparently, despite the attempts and failed to attack, it seemed he had in fact pissed him off enough to merit special attention. Alright... I cant depend on Macrocosmos this time. I can almost get back into the fight... and when I do, I got to play to my strengths and use the spells I know far better. They may be strong, but Fairy Tail wizards will not be kept down! he thought, realizing the situation demanded more from him. He slowly began to stand, willing himself up. Summary

OOC The sergeant started slowly walking towards Zachary. "All right, boy, I will give you one chance to recuperate. If you still don't manage to do anything after that, well, let's just say things will not end well for you." he said. The corporal was standing next to Marcus, watching over his body closely. However, he noticed that the little pet that was always near that brown-haired boy did something to him. A small light enveloped his body and his wounds started slowly healing. "Oh, no you don't!" he shouted,, raising both of his hands towards Jirachi. One sphere appeared at each one, die enough to cover his entire arm, and then he shot both of them at it. They were meant to follow him wherever he went for a set distance. The second lieutenant flinched when he was his ice wall being broken and the woman emerging in a different form. So she was capable of switching them with such great speed? Fascinating. Not only that, she was able to break through his ice wall like it was nothing and was now attacking him as well. He had to take a step back to avoid the blade of wind coming at him, effectively stopping him in his tracks. "Tch." Upon noticing the dark energy headed his way, he jumped away to avoid it, noticing that his speed was now barely above that of his opponent's. And with the way things were going, he had no way of avoiding the flaming boulder coming his way. "Tag." he heard a voice behind him. The first lieutenant's hand appeared on his shoulder, pulling him back and away from the incoming boulder. The first lieutenant raised his hand and shot a considerably smaller sphere of flames towards the boulder. It collided with it and caused an explosion, sending flames and pieces of boulders everywhere around them. However, the first lieutenant raised a barrier of flames in front of him, effectively protecting the both of them. "Fire magic, I like that, I'm taking you on." he declared. All the while, the captain was leisurely watching the fighting. The airships docked above the city and soldiers started pouring down from them. Soon, the streets were filled with Bosco soldiers running around the streets, and the people defending it struggling desperately to fight back. So far, things were at a standstill. Summary

He heard the voice of the Sergeant, taking the place of the Corporal as he menacing started walking towards him. Zachary gritted his teeth as he mocked him, personally hating all these guys. Even now the ships were unleashing more and more soldiers. The situation was growing from bad to worse! At the same time, while Jirachi was healing Marcus, the Corporal saw Jirachi attempt to heal his wounds. Though the heals he could only do were moderate, they would at least give Marcus some areas of comfort. However, that didn't last long as Jirachi looked to find the orbs the Corporal shot his way. With a small 'yipe' Jirachi quickly turn and fluttered away but the orbs continued to chase him. The orbs impacted behind Jirachi, hitting him and sending Jirachi tumbling across the ground towards Zachary. "Jirachi!" Zachary shouted, reaching Jirachi, and picked up the little guy. The little guy had a good strike against him, but he was not severely hurt. Nothing a bit of rest wouldn't cure but Jirachi was taken out of the fight rather easily. It would be a while before Jirachi could muster up the strength to help them again. Zachary would have to protect him. Holding onto his little friend tightly, Zachary slowly rose back to his feet, now feeling a bit better. He just needed a bit more time. "If you don't mind me asking, since you seem so patient, " Zachary asked, trying to wound his pride with words but more importantly, stalling for time, "Why are you and your country here? For what reason would you bring war to us? Endangering innocent people and destroying our homes? What the hell do you have to gain from all of this." As Jirachi softly stirred, Zachary slipped him into the hood on his back, the place where Jirachi could be safe and secure during the fight to come. Summary
