When Stella heard Red speak back to her greeting she found herself stopping in her tracks as if she had hit an invisible wall, wait …. He could speak now?! With wide eyes full of surprise and a gaping mouth several moments had to be taken by the mage before she could find the words to speak, “You can speak! That’s great!”. Stella wanted to hear all about how her friend had regained his ability to speak but much to her frustration a couple of men appeared on the scene ruining any chance of such a conversation. They wore the uniform of the Bosco military and that alone was a shock, how had they gotten in the city? Where they infiltration units? If so then how many more of them was there already within the city’s walls? At first Stella found herself overwhelmed by the thought of the fight having already found her, she was dressed for a performance for gosh sake not for a war! Luckily her friend Red seemed far more on the track when it came to what had to be done, the man that left spoke of taking no prisoners to the one left to fight them and that alone went to show the seriousness of the situation. Red took the lead in the battle that would decide the lives of at least one person in it but Stella wasn’t quick to follow him into activating her magic and taking a spirit to battle with her. She knew that both of them used takeover magic and she also knew that if they both entered a form at the same time they would both be forced to end their merger at around the same time, this would leave them both vulnerable if their enemy wasn’t defeated quickly and it wasn’t something Stella wanted to risk. The man had been called ‘second lieutenant’ by his comrade and that meant he wouldn’t be a weakling, would Red and her even be able to beat him? No, they had to. TL:DR

Slow. This was the only way the sergeant could describe the attack headed for him. He sighed in disappointment, did he really expect to hit with that attack? He casually sidestepped the beams, not leaving his current position. "Those are some pretty lights you have there, but they mean nothing if you can't hit me." he taunted Zachary. After that attack was over, the other guy charged him with his shield, this one was actually pretty fast. The sergeant casually raised his left hand and stopped the attack, this guy's strength was nothing much. "Three times... no, I'd say I'm about two times stronger than you, boy." he said as he also raised his right arm and blocked his weapon. He flexed his muscles as he did so, the attack giving him only minor scratches as a result. Then, he pushed both the shield and weapon away and attempted to deliver a kick to the guy's abdomen using his right foot. In a nearby location, the captain was sitting back and merely watching the fight. The second lieutenant glanced at the attack coming his way and swiftly dodged to the right. "Don't feel bad about that kid, I am the fastest of my unit. I'd say... I'm about three times faster than you. Those slow attacks of yours will never hit me." he said as he raised his arm towards Red. A sphere of ice formed in front of it, roughly 1 meter in diameter, and then he shot it directly at him. Its speed matched his own, and his boasting was not merely empty words. Meanwhile, the First Lieutenant and Corporal were casually strolling along the city. "Um, shouldn't we hurry to the captain's side?" the corporal asked. "Relax, this is the captain we're talking about. There's no way anyone in this city is powerful enough to defeat him. We can take our time and get to him later." the first lieutenant replied. Summary

Zachary was relieved Marcus stood to his aid to defend him. At first Zachary thought it was not necessary as he had a defense in place with Macrocosmos active. It was a well rounded spell that acted on both offense and defense. However, he started to regret that thought as he saw the guy sidestep the lasers effortlessly! Wha? Zachary thought, worried now. This guy was good to evade an attack from behind and in front. Marcus too was repelled by this guy. Zachary gritted his teeth as he saw the display from the man from Bosco. "This isn't good. " Zachary said more to himself than Marcus. At that time, he knew he had no choice but to pull out all the stops he could muster. "Jirachi? It's time for a little power up," he said calmly to his little friend over his shoulder. In reply despite the dire situation, Jirachi gave a happy face and raised its little arms. Aye, sir!, Jirachi chirped telepathically. At that moment, Jirachi fluttered a small ways between Marcus and Zachary. Because Zachary was channeling Macrocosmos, his attributes were linked to the stars. Jirachi began to glow with magic of his own, now placed just enough distance between the two boys. Cosmic Power!, he chirped raising his tiny arms as light flowed out from him. Under both Zachary's and Marcus' feet, a circle of light came into being and a flurry of stars cascaded over them. The feeling given by the magic was invigorating for the two, increasing their strength, speed, accuracy, and even endurance. Despite his tiny size, Jirachi held a fount of great power to aid his allies. As the magic took hold over Zachary, the stars themselves moved just a little faster, energized by the caster's new boost. Summary

The sergeant was more than just talk, that was something that Marcus found out pretty quickly. He easily managed to dodge Zachary's attack, and when Marcus charged him, he simply held his ground and deflected the shield while blocking the slash with only minor cuts. He counterattacked with a kick to Marcus' abdomen. Marcus saw the attack coming and tried to dodge it, but the guy was strong, much stronger than Marcus was, and even with the Talos suit to absorb the brunt of the blow, the kick still pushed Marcus back and winded him slightly. He stepped back so he was standing next to Zachary. This wasn't going to work, a head-on assault in this kind of fashion would lead them nowhere. They needed a better plan of action. Marcus' analytical intelligence went to work. Judging from his words and the failed frontal assault, Marcus was able to determine that this guy was indeed much stronger than himself. He also had a much tougher body, evidenced by his ability to block his slash with his bare hands. He was fast, fast enough to dodge Zachary's attack, but Marcus was able to close the distance and engage him pretty quickly, so he guessed that he wasn't much faster than himself. He was also overconfident and arrogant. He taunts his enemies and allows them to go two-on-one. He underestimated them. His pride and arrogance could be his weak spot. A ploy began to form in Marcus' head. Zachary seemed to feel the direness of the situation as well, because he called upon Jirachi to power them up. A magic circle appeared underneath his feet and stars rained down on him. A familiar, invigorating sensation rushed through Marcus, he felt himself grow stronger, faster, tougher. This was the second time Jirachi had done this for him, he was seriously starting to love the little guy. "Thanks, Jirachi." He said. "I owe you one." Marcus cracked his knuckles menacingly. Time for round two. Marcus charged the sergeant again, this time much faster than before. He stabbed with Iustitia at his side, but the move was a feint and a slightly obvious one. Normally, Marcus would try to disguise a feint as well as possible to make the opponent take the bait and open his guard. But, this time, Marcus wanted the sergeant to catch wind of the maneuver, he wanted him to disregard the attack. To add even more obviousness to the feint, Marcus hefted his shield like he was going to bash him with it. The sergeant underestimated him, and being the experienced warrior he was, would probably see the feint coming a mile away. Should the sergeant disregard the 'feint' and block the shield bash, thus opening up his defenses, Marcus would turn his stabbing attack into a gun shot, shoving the spear into his chest and unloading three shotgun rounds at point black range. If the sergeant realized the fake feint that Marcus was doing and attempt to block the spear thrust, Marcus would raise his shield hand and punch him squarely in the face, followed by a point blank concussive blast with his armor's built-in blaster weapon. With Marcus' increased speed, simply evading this charge would be hard to do. Summary and for those confused OOC Edited by Marcat, Mar 6 2013, 07:26 AM.

Zachary watched as Marcus got to work! Empowered by Jirachi's Cosmic Power, Marcus was by far faster and stronger than before. Jirachi despite his tiny size was truly impressive when it came to magic. The prime differences between Zachary and Marcus was the fact that while the knight, as the name suggested, put a great deal of time into his physical abilities, Zachary had dedicated most of his time developing his magic skills. Macrocosmos was powerful. With so many stars around, he could attack from all sides and do far more than one spell alone could do. Still against a superior enemy, it could only do so much. Stuck in the same position, he couldn't do anything but control the movement of the stars around them. In that position however, it gave him the position to think of a plan. Marcus was moving well and was in a good position of strength but this bastard of a sergeant was fast! If Marcus wanted any way to hit him, he would have to slow him down. And then it hit Zachar like a lightning bolt to the head. He bought his time, waiting as he saw the sergeant's move to Marcus' reaction. With his will, Zachary positioned the stars low to the ground to slowly get closer to the sergeant. He planned to make sure the Sergeant wouldn't go anywhere. The moment he moved in response to Marcus' advance, he sprung his trap! With both hands, Zachary brought them down in a closing motion. "Connect!" he commanded. At his words, the stars low to the ground shot out beams of light. In reality, they were not lasers but physically manifested ropes of light, interconnected from one star to the next. They surrounded the Sergeant by his legs, making one trip if he tried to run! "HARVEST!" Zachary shouted, now pulling the stars upward. Once tangled around his legs, Zachary moved the interconnected stars up, to proceed to wrap around the enemy like a straightjacket! This technique was meant to immobilize and contain enemy targets. Though weak, for the time being, the ropes would at least trip him up and limit his movements if they did in fact tie him up! He would have the Bosco sergeant trapped! "Now, Marcus!!" Zachary shouted, giving the knight a clear opening for him to attack! Summary

The fact that he was able to dodge these attacks so fluidly was definitely putting a damper on Empoleon's plans. He couldn't exactly attack, especially since both he and his attacks were slow. Speed was never his forte, at least not out here on the land. Penguins tend to be pretty clumsy on dry land, after all. Still, that didn't mean that Empoleon wasn't at least going to try. For now, he resolved that he should at least do his best to give it all he had. While Empoleon still had reign over Red's body, he wouldn't relinquish it so easily and tarnish his pride, at least not without giving it his all. Such was one of the downsides of Red's particular form of magic - it offered full reign and control over to the various spirits he held within himself, a fact which would only become problematic in cases where his forms are particularly unruly. At the very least, while Empoleon planned to let loose his arsenal here before letting control go, there were other forms that were far more unsavory, which would refuse to let go until the very last moment, even in the most dire of circumstances. At any rate, the Penguin Emperor scoffed at what the man had stated, refusing to acknowledge him as anything more than a scoundrel and/or a ruffian. The ice sphere that had been formed was quickly shot straight towards Empoleon himself. While it moved fast, there was still at least time to react. This was because his next attack appeared from his location in front of him, meaning that as long as he brought it out the two attacks would come into contact with one another. Summoning up a large tidal wave three meters tall and one meter wide from where he stood, Empoleon let loose - sending a wave of surf at the sphere of ice. He managed to angle it so that he was facing his enemy, which meant it would hit both the sphere as well as the guy if he stood still. Of course, Empoleon didn't expect him to simply take a hit, besides that the power of the surf and the sphere effectively cancelled each other out as they were seemingly equal in power. "You, girl over there," Empoleon spoke, addressing Stella. "I'm leaving this fight in your hands for now, buy us some time." Shortly after, the Penguin Emperor relinquished control back to Red. He didn't want to admit it, but Red had other forms which could handle this situation far better than he could. Summary

Stella’s heart almost skipped a beat as the blast from the enemy mage was fired at Red and despite the fact she was technically in battle her eyes closed momentarily as she waited for the sound of impact. She knew that she wouldn’t be fast enough to do anything outside of form and that she had to wait until it was her turn to use her magic and with that said she had assumed the strike would actually hit her friend; as luck it that wasn’t the case. A tidal wave of impressive size blocked the ice sphere and continued on towards the mage that the pair were fighting, impressed by the display Stella wondered what else Red had learned in their time apart. He could speak now and his magic had grown so much stronger, she could only hope that her own was up to par. “Right, leave it to me.” Empoleon knew what Stella herself suspected; the form that red had chosen wasn’t going to match the battle’s flow and so it was her turn to take the fight to the enemy while Red rested ready to take his next form when her own merger would end. With a steeled gaze Stella focused her eyes on her enemy and began the merger she deemed to fit the situation best at the time; she needed to match the man’s speed and she needed to stay at a distance for the time being…. At least until they saw more of what the man could do. Before the eyes of the men watching a light blue light (not so bright as to obscure vision) would start at the mage’s shoes and move upwards leaving behind the outline of her new attire and figure in the light blue light. Once the light passed her hips the light would dissipate from her feet revealing the clothing left behind and that pattern would continue until her new form was completely revealed (only a few seconds). Left standing before them was the figure of Ahri; flirtatious in nature the spirit was one of the few that could influence Stella’s own behaviour in battle as she played with those that faced her. With her ethereal orb hovering above her cupped hands the woman twitched her ears and stretched her tails before smiling mischievously and chuckling, “You’re not my type but I guess I’ll play with you”. As she finished speaking three smaller versions (roughly the size of baseballs) of the ethereal blue orb in her hands formed in the around Stella, they would stay there motionless for now but it went without saying there was a reason behind their summoning. That pesky little thing was more than a simple pet? Whatever it did to those two, it seemed to have increased their power. The sergeant didn't like this, the fight had already turned into a three versus one. When that boy charged him again with his.. weapon-thingie, the sergeant was convinced he was a knight. But what to block first, the weapon or the shield? The sergeant thought for a second and decided. Why not both? He turned his attention to the ground below him and proceeded to punch it with his right fist. Then, he picked up the piece of concrete that broke apart from the street and tossed it at the incoming knight. However, that wasn't all. That person, the one with the lights, used some kind of net made out of light in an attempt to trap him. With the opponent he was currently facing, the sergeant didn't have time to react and was trapped by the net. However, that rope was flimsy and weak. By simply flexing his muscles, the sergeant was able to break it apart. "How weak." he said with a disappointed shake of his head. On another front, the second lieutenant's sphere of ice collided with the tidal wave sent by the penguin-man, resulting in both attacks stopping at their tracks. The wave was frozen from coming into contact with the sphere and the ice ended up breaking into small pieces, falling to the ground harmlessly. They disappeared shortly afterwards, leaving behind nothing but a few drops of water. "Well, well, it's the woman's turn now? I don't take pride in killing women, but I don't really have a choice here." the second lieutenant said. In truth, he wanted to attack the man now that his transformation was over, he had the feeling that it was a good chance to do so, but he couldn't just ignore another enemy in front of him. With a snap of his fingers, several small spheres of ice surrounded the woman. They had thorns protruding from several parts and looked incredibly sharp. With a second snap of his fingers, the spheres all headed for the woman, closing in on her like a ring. Then, he also charged forward, aiming to exploit a possible opening that might be created. His aim was the woman's throat, his right hand straightened like a blade. Meanwhile, the corporal and first lieutenant were still walking through the city's streets. "Oh, isn't that the sergeant?" the corporal pointed to the battle currently taking place. "Hey, you're right. Those two must be pretty strong to be holding out against him. Unless he's going easy on them." the two of them laughed for a bit and stood back a short distance, only observing the fight for now. Summary

The Boscon soldier wasted no time in launching the first attack and like Stella herself he summoned spheres to the fight. Unlike her own spheres the ones that the mage summoned weren’t by his own side, instead they appeared surrounding Stella and with the pointy look to them she wasn’t exactly keen on being struck by them. It was obvious as to the fact that they would soon be closing in on her and so Stella was ready for the moment that they did. The instant that the spheres began to move Stella’s own moved to her defence, she might have had only three to match the nine hurtling towards her but she wasn’t aiming to stop them all. The spheres of Stella’s fox fire flew out colliding with the three of the ice balls on her right side and as the gap was opened in their line she used the second ability granted to her by the spirit she was merged with. The ice balls he had summoned would collide with one another as Stella dashed through the gap her own had created her and with her sudden and practically instantaneous dash to the man’s right she continued her momentum putting distance between them both. “Here catch,” the orb that Stella had been clutching as it hovered in the air above her cupped hands moments earlier would shoot out from her location and straight towards the enemy soldier. Zachary gritted his teeth with discouragement. Even his ropes were useless to even tie him up?! He certainly needed to develop his practice on Macrocosmos more but in this situation it was the only thing he could use to really throw him off. Still at the very least any damage would cause him to react. He only had one possibility left that he could use. Macrocosmos was almost at its limit. He could only maintain control of the stars for so long before he lost control and the stars would disappear. I'll just have to make every second count! he thought , as he controlled the stars to spin around once more. Targeting the sergeant once more, Zachary aimed 4 stars around the man! "Fire!!" Zachary shouted, commanding the stars. The four stars were positioned around the Sergeant and shot out their laser beams. They were aimed in a strategic position, The first laser was aimed right at the man where he stood now. The other three were positioned to his right, left and front. The lasers only really allowed one area of escape. If the Sergeant didn't get hit by the lasers, he only had one escape option! And that was where Zachary had plotted him to do. From up above where he/if he moved, a series of 6 stars were spinning in a clockwork circle above. A magic circle would appear with a star in the center, radiating powerful light. It was Zachary's wider range spell, and capable of being cast down from above. "Celestial Blast!!" He shouted, throwing his arms down in a crushing motion. At his command, the array of spinning stars above unleashed a wide laser blast towards the place where he would be! Between the lasers and the wide cosmic blast from directly overhead, the odds of him getting away unscratched would be slim! Summary
