As the bold young man entered the guild he seemed to be greeted with Tartaros natural hostile greeting. It was really always the same group of guys that really never learned, guys that had been apart of the guild since before Ryo joined, guy that were set in their ways and seldom changed. Ryo once tried to get them to stop but in the end they always just had to like it was their thing, and from what Ryo could tell it truly was since they always say around drinking booze and trying to hassle people, never taking requests and the like making them quite simple and weak in comparison to a active guild member. As the swift young man made his way to the bar and greeting the barmaid he seemed to pose the ever bold question on how to join Tartaros, many had tried, almost any mage who didn't like the rules of the magic council or who had killed someone ran to one of the many dark guilds in Fiore's underground. The few that made it here to Tartaros either made it or died a quick death that all weakness that entered Tartaros gained, at least that's what Master Vile said. Turning to Torao Ryo would give him a bit of a smile before continuing. " good man " he would tell Torao simply. " Now put your words to work. Invite that fella to out lessons. He seems like he's need a done lesson too, not to mention ya done gonna need a enemy to practice the new technique on, being it would do plum nothing ta' me. " Ryo would tell Torao with a chuckle as he glance over to Suijin with a mischievous smirk. If this guy really wanted to join Tartaros then he would be put to the test, not only would Ryo test his knowledge of things but he would test just how far he was willing to join the guild...would be willing to learn and be helpful to his possible future guild mates or not? That was the question of Suijin. While it was a lesson in using your head and not your sword for Torao, something Ryo had to learn the hard way with his own code when he met Lucia, a mercenary was fine, but a mage needed to use his mind in more then just spells or he would become blind to simple matters. |

The barmaid certianly was caught unaware to the request of joining the guild and the man's good looks didn't help her flustered state. Obviously, Tartaros was in no way official with no real 'proceedings' to become one of them. Even she was a 'bad girl' in the fact she worked for Tartaros. It was a good paying job, despite the lewd comments from some of the members and mild harassment. This man however, she wouldn't mind having his attention that was for sure. "Well, you just can't walk in and join... " She said, confronting his smirk. That smoldering roguish charm certainly did open doors but she had no authority to grant him free passage. "You have to earn it. Work for it." At this time, Suijin approached her. Boldly, he reached up and pushed aside a stray lock of her hair, his knuckles brushing her cheek gently. "Prove my worth, eh?" Suijin asked in an amused tone. "As all things are in this world, it must be earned. I expected nothing less." He was rewarded with a blush from the girl, which was more than enjoyable to see. As he looked around the filthy dark guild hall, he caught the eye of someone at the bar. A man with red hair, with an interesting tell of a man who seen his share of combat and blood. The gleamed at him with interest. Suijin's eyes met his, unafraid and unyielding in return. It was a guy Suijin was interested in meeting soon enough. However, as he was distracted, more of the men from the first's little group. They decided to try and jump Suijin when his back was turned. They slowly crept up behind him. Weapons poised, they prepared to catch him unaware as he was distracted. With a loud yell, the men charged, lunging forward from behind to grab and stab him. He caught their motion in the corner of his eye, narrowing his gaze in their direction. With two fingers, he made a ninja-hand sign as he focused, causing the thin drops of water that hung in the air to condense. With a grunt, he created his defensive water armor, Aqua Guard, used to repel attacks. The rings of water moved on their own, meeting the resistance of the attackers and flowed them away from him! Surprised, the three attackers, were tossed aside, two of them thrown to the left while one met with a direct attack as Suijin delivered an elbow to one's gut. The man keeled over, surprised by the deflection. With a sigh, Suijin turned around with a bored expression on his face. "Seriously?" he asked, "I cant tell what is more amusing. You think you can actually take me on, or the fact you would attack when I had my back turned." Suijin clearly mocked them, when in fact they were just third rate thugs. Suijin on the other hand was a mastered martial artist, in addition to the use of his magic. He drew a fighting stance, and gave a gesture of his hand to urge them to attack him. |

[Skipping madge due to waiting over a week for him to post] Ryo would grow tired of waiting for Torao to actully get up and ask the newcomer to join them. Standing up as Sujin had just finished off the last of the group that had assaulted him in a surprise attack. As Suijin waited to see if they wanted more Ryo made his approach that quickly made them all pause look to Ryo then Suijin then laugh. " Ha your in trouble now girly, Ya aint going to have your way this Ryo! " One of them shouted as they got to their feet and backed away, actually they didn't just back away they went to the nearest table, flipped it and got behind it. They were not alone in this act as several people near the area of Ryo and Suijin would start to move away and seem to be bracing for impact. " Tartaros. A prison the gods sealed away those who broke their laws, and the underworld for those departed. Don'tcha think a hellish prison for those who don't quite fit in with the likes of the rest of the world would have a few assassins, demons, shadows, and monsters in the like? " Ryo would say as he got closer and closer to Suijin before he got about a few feet away from him looking straight into his eyes. " Still wanna call this place home? " Ryo would say raising his eyebrow and a smirk on his lips. His word lifting spirits yet again in the guild hall, the clown leader of inspiration of Tartaros, he was the butt of every joke, he was the source of the smiles, the warmth in this place, but he also was the reason that could be proud, they could proudly steal, smuggle, kill, kidnap, blackmail, assassinate, guard, and destroy. They could do what ever they wanted in pursuit of their own freedom, thriving in chaos, this was the way of Tartaros, this is what the guild master imparted on Ryo. This could be the future the brilliant future of Tartaros Master Vile saw in Ryo when he stepped thru those doors with Lorelle a few years ago. He saw the chance to bring Tartaros back to glory, and in the few years Ryo had joined Tartaros he had, Tartaros went from a decaying old dark guild that was falling apart to one of the mightiest and feared dark guilds in Fiore, they were allied with Grimiore Heart and Raven Tail never dared to even raise a hand to Tartaros now, Knights knew not to mess with them inside their own city, and the people of Coreopsis loved the guild once more for their protection of the city, but they were feared for their destructive and merciless ways. The man that stood before Suijin, he would know. It was impossible to be inside Coreopsis with out hearing of The Wildfire of Tartaros. The Ace of the guild and a leader of one of the strongest dark mage team in Fiore. Suijin stood before the gaping blaze of the ever burning wildfire, the humaniod natural disaster housed in Tartaros. |

As Suijin was awaiting the thugs with mud for brains to make their move, he could see the look in their eyes go from anger to fear. Something spooked them as they moved away, losing their fire to fight. After some shallow boasting from the men as they ducked behind tables, he heard the voice of someone behind him. His voice commanded respect alone, Suijin narrowing his own gaze to the sound. He was strong, that much he knew. The men called him Ryo. Slowly he turned around, meeting the gaze of the man who now addressed him. He made a good little speech about Tartaros. Intimidating as described, he knew the reputation of Tartaros. The man who approached him was impressive indeed. Red wild hair, with steely eyes, dressed in the adornment of a samurai. He his stance was battle hardened and the simple way he moved boasted extreme skill with the sword, especially since he had one sheathed at his side. This guy, Suijin did in fact not know of his reputation, but just by looking at him, he could tell this man was far more skilled than the men who 'welcomed' him. No... he was in a far different league. After he spoke of if Suijin still wanted to call Tartaros home, Suijin cracked a grin towards Ryo. It must be the guy everyone spoke of. The Wildfire of Tartaros. He could be wrong, but judging from everyone's reaction in the room it was likely him. The look on Suijin's face was cool and amused as he greeted Ryo unafraid. "Do I look like an upstanding citizen to you...?" he said with a touch of humor as he crossed his arms before his chest, observing Ryo. Though his tone was light, he clearly regarded Ryo with respect as he addressed him. "I am well aware of what this guild harbors. Thought I expected far more than these doormats that welcomed me in. So easy to walk over." He could hear some of the men behind him grumble and swear at him, to which he paid no real attention to. He turned completely facing Ryo, his attention more on him than anyone else. "You on the other hand, are not all talk like your allies here. You are a real fighter." Suijin stepped towards Ryo and extended a hand in greeting, hoping to shake hands. "Name's Suijin," he greeted with a smile. Edited by Zaber, Feb 27 2013, 08:30 PM.

As the man gave a simple reply, tho they grumbled at his insults, they could tell he would fit in well just fine here. He had that 'spirit' about him that all Tartaros mages carried a will that could not be snuffed out by any trouble, a bright burning desire for strife. Ryo simply smirked listening to the man carry on for a moment before he extended his hand to shake. Ryo glanced down at his hand for a moment. As he did everyone in the guild went back to ducking for cover yet again expecting Ryo to pull off another one of his over kill, zero restraint replies or greetings. Boy were they right! Ryo grabbed Suijin's hand tightly, his grip unknowingly feeling like a vice grip pressing down on Suijin's hand before Ryo would move his hand up to begin to shake when he would most likely send Suijin flying as he did not have any restraint what so ever! He wasn't trying to send Suijin flying into the air behind him but he rather couldn't help but send him towards the flipped tables out of the fact Ryo didn't really ever know his own strength. " Oops " Ryo said turning around to look to Suijin just to see how far he was flung. The guild all the while was busting up laughing at Ryo who yet again pulled a rather goofy and silly thing here in the guild, it wasn't quite like getting lost but it was surely close enough. " Didn't mean ta' to that there " Ryo would say calling out to Suijin. " So ya got yourself a last name? " Ryo would as waiting to see how Suijin fared over all,or even if the poor man was still among the living! Watching all this unfold surely Torao would now understand what Ryo meant by practicing the new technique on him would do nothing as Ryo was unable to hold back and Torao's attacks would do most likely do nothing against him, and if he even tried to attack Torao he could end up dead in a instant! |

Suijin watched as Ryo took a firm grip of his hand. A truly manly grip, one that Suijin had to respect as he returned it kind. However, Ryo's grip intense and before he knew it, the man made a simple tug that sent Suijin flying head over heels. Dumbfounded he watched as he spun around a few feet and was sent flying smack into a series of folded tables and chairs a few feet away. He landed upside down, his back to the mess and his face looking to RYo and the crowd. The guys from before laughed but still kept hidden behind the table. Suijin would have to beat them up a bit later when he felt like it. His focus now was on Ryo. He looked in silence, a stern look on his face. He heard Ryo speak. Whether he was being sarcastic or truly sincere with his mistake, it was causing a stir among the guild. It appeared the guy sincerely didn't mean to throw him like that. Then, out of place as he was hanging upside down, he cracked a smile. Before they knew it Suijin was laughing himself, thrilled to have been thrown like that. it was a prideful laugh, at his own expense but one of not wounded pride. "HA! I haven't been tossed around like that since my master smacked me around as a child. " Untangling his god-long hair from the mess, he rolled out of the pile of rubble and flipped back up. With his back to the crowd, he softly brushed himself off from the dust, and then turned to Ryo with a smirk. "Azurestorm. My last name I was given anyway... But Suijin is fine if you don't mind." He slowly stride forward with a grin, facing Ryo once more. " Nice grip. I hate to see what you do to a young lady that catches your interest. " he joked, crossing his arms once more. Besides some scratches, he was otherwise okay. He waited to hear what Ryo had to say next. Hopefully, he wouldn't actually slug him next. |

As Suijin got up he seemed to have quite the calm and laid back mind set as he seemed to not get mad, as many of the other guild members had when they realized Ryo's insane lack of self control when it came to anything, but then again it was only fitting for one of the strongest members of Tartaros and the person holding the biggest drinker in the guild too. Smirking right back at Suijin as he got himself once more in order, it being obvious that he cared a great deal about his appearance as that was rather the first thing he made sure to fix when he got up, something Ryo on the other hand usually didn't care to much about when things got chaotic. " Hm, well if ya set on joining, I think i got a fair idea for ya. " Ryo would say with a smirk looking towards his fellow guild members for a moment before looking back to Suijin. " Ya can join if ya make me take a step or move from this here spot, and to be fair I'ma only use one hand, and no magic. " Ryo would explain to Suijin looking to his guild members once again hoping they would be looking forward to some entertainment. " Do so, and I will imprint ya myself! " Ryo said with a confident smirk as he made a fist and thrusted it in Suijin's direction awaiting for him to take the challenge. |

Suijin was a little worried but he didn't show it. This man was undoubtedly strong as he just threw him like a rag doll across the room. After years of training at the temple of the four rings, he had learn to identify those stronger than himself. He did not fear them, but to know who was stronger was a sign of maturity in a warrior to know their limits. As for Ryo, he was unsure to his true limits. "I hate to see how you handle your women with a grip like that," Suijin joked, casting a brief look to the barmaid who welcomed him in. He gave a wink at her direction and was pleased to see her blush. As Ryo awaited to gt an answer to his challenge, Suijin laughed a bit. "You make a generous offer my friend," he said with amusement, crossing his arms as he thought it over. "Still, I always enjoy a challenging fight. I'll do it. But I will ask you before we start. Maybe you want to take this outside with a bit more room? I hate to make the young lady over there have to clean up more junk from a fight." He asked, sharing his desire for a bit more room. Whether or not Ryo would accept this remained to be seen. Ether way, it didn't matter to Suijin, but thought he would ask for the girl's sake. That and he preferred to fight where it wasn't so dark and the surrounding area of water sure made a better fighting ground for Suijin. Always at home among the water. |

Ryo simply smirked at Suijin as he seemed to take him up on the offer, however he seemed to one stipulation to the whole ordeal. To move outside for what he said was for the benefit of the barmaids. Ryo couldn't help but chuckle " I wouldn't be underestimating them with just that cute smile of theirs, they keep us in check some days. " Ryo warned Suijin of the barmaids deadly secret and power behind their smiles. They were far from helpless, they held their own and put most of the guild members in check. If Suijin thought he was looking after some helpless girl in a den of demons and thieves he was quite mislead. If Ryo was the fire given to man, if oberon was the assassin that brought down a god. If all sorts of demons lived here in this guild then those barmaids would be the harpy's of legends, beautiful and gorgeous but so deadly they could lead any man to ruin. " But ya got a point, I done think that Master Vile would be too pleased if I done messed up this here guild hall again. " Ryo said looking to around with a bewildered look for a moment before walking towards the door nudging his head for Suijin and any onlookers to follow. Leading Suijin to the stone bridge suijin had just crossed Ryo walked to the far edge that lead to the town and stopped. " Stand here " Ryo would tell Suijin before walking back toward the guild and stopping near the end of the bridge near the guild side. " Alright, show me your sin " Ryo said with a smirk as he raised one hand open palm, the air itself seeming to change in the area as several guild members stood a bit behind Ryo awaiting Suijin's display against Ryo, it was now or never, Suijin had to show just how badly he wanted into the guild and just how bad he was! |

Suijin's Oriental Theme They were soon on the bridge connecting the ruined island of the guild hall to the rest of the city. Suijin stood with his back to the city and Ryo across him, standing exactly where he intended to be. Between Suijin and membership with Tartaros. Show me your sin, Ryo had challenged him. To show him how much he wished to join. As the crowd from Tartaros gathered behind Ryo to watch, Suijin cleared his mind. Now he would fight seriously. The breeze from the lake and sky brushed by them, causing Suijin's long hair to sway in the breeze. He took a deep breath, his eyes closed as he focused. He opened his senses, feeling the wind against his skin, the tension, the sounds. Everything he took in as he focused on his goal. To strike Ryo with enough force to move him. To fight him seriously and prove his worth as a capable warrior. By any means necessary. Upon opening his eyes, he looked to Ryo. His eyes were now steely, focused, and dangerous. A calm before a storm. The look of a disciplined fighter. The pause of silence and suspense was broken as Suijin immediately sprinted across the bridge. His feet were soft but fleeting as he pushed off with each step, spurring himself faster towards Ryo. His strength relying in both physical martial arts combat, he felt he would use his own muscles first before daring to attack with his magic. Coming up fast, he jumped into the air with his last step, and spun with a round-house kick right towards Ryo's head. Blockable for a skilled warrior, but Suijin had to lead up light, so he could get a read on his opponent. Ryo, the capable warrior he was, clearly never showed any hints of hesitation even when waiting for the opening move! |
