Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

And so here was Vincent; the chemist who somehow doubled as a mage which when you think about it makes no sense what's so ever, why would you make potions with magic instead of just mixing them? But regardless, onto his reason for being here.
Vince was looking for a new client; One of the residents of Coreopsis had contacted him in regards of procuring a potion to serve as a gift on "Lovers day" a holiday where the people of this city celebrate the love between two people and well, lets just say there was more reasons then simple business for why Vincent had hauled his ass all the way out here.

He walked down the streets looking around the sights and views of this very interesting city; It floated in the sky after all and that alone made it warrant a trip but what truly attracted Vincent was how it was a very romantic place, he was hoping if he could meet that.. well, that special someone here but it was unlikely, a skilled charmer and powerful speaker he may be but lets just say not all woman took his method of flirtation and handing out purple roses all too kindly which kinda resulted in a few painful kicks in the tender area for him.

Moving swiftly on from his embarrassments then. He soon arrived at the house in question and noticed a note taped to its front door, said note said thus: "Chemist, I have been forced to vacate my house for a few hours so do please wait around the city" "Great.....just fantastic" Vincent complained as he groaned to himself upon reading the note and face palming; This client really didn't have the greatest sense of timing so it seemed which left Vincent with two choices, either: A.Spend the money going back and then coming back at another time or B.Hang around the city, take in the sights and wait...

"Well I know which one I am deciding upon then" He decided to himself; He was going to wait around the city for his client to get back, it would save him the costs of returning here in the future and well, on the other hand he might be able to find himself some amusing times and events here along the city's fine inhabitants, at least, he assured himself that most of them were fine but you always got a few bad apples. Off Vincent marched then, back down the street he had come done looking for a way to amuse himself or perhaps some other appealing business ventures.

Ten minutes. It had been ten minutes standing at one of the bridges of the magnificent city of Coreopsis. The water, the structures, the scenery in itself was absolutely amazing! Sure one of the reasons why Czash came to this place was to check out the local major guild, which had quite the... reputation, but hey, sight from the distance wasn't bad. And it wasn't like he was planing on walking straight in to randomly interview whoever he found on the spot! The atmosphere was lovely though, both figuratively and literally. No wonder Lover's Day had its own parade over here. Oh how he'd love to spend it with Adeila, she'd enjoy the view.

He didn't mind the alternative though. It was just... He had absolutely no idea what to do. Currently, Czash had his favorite, and only, green hoodie on and pulled over his head, covering his black hair and heterochromatic eyes from wandering side glancers. His horned headband was still being worn, just not on his head, as it lay comfortably at the base of his neck, tucked safely from view within his hoodie. He was leaning on the side of the bridge overrflooking the water below. A normal site in such a magical place, right?

...Except there was a nine-and-some foot trail of orange and gold splayed out at his feet and taking up much of the bridge's length. Feathers and fur and skin and hair, just a bit, from the winged summon that felt the necessity to openly show his boredom. Sure there was still space for other people to go about their day, but still! "Really Dryke?" The only response was a raised eyebrow, promptly ignored by the fact that Czash wasn't actiually looking. Dryke, who laid on his bellyside, could've been mistaken as a rug due to the ram's fleece that he wore, if it weren't for the wings he stretched and the rest of his long lower body that he flickered every now and then.

It wasn't his idea to go stand around in some magical city that, so far, had no special events going on, or anything going on, really. Quiet and serene was okay, true, but Dryke's had enough of that to last him years. Sound. Interaction. Activity. Simply put, the boy-looking ram-thing spirit had been worldly starved until recently, and this pace was not ideal.
Quietly as he was though, Dryke continued to sway his tail, not caring whatever may have walked into the way since that'd involve shifting his head from the ground. Not that it'd matter anyway, with what just happened.

See, this is why you always keep your extremities to yourself. One very sudden, but obvious, ram bleat later, and Dryke rolled over and practically shoved himself against the bridge wall. And of course, that meant part of his body slamming into the legs of one very unaware Czash, causing the young mage to yelp as he ungraciously fell onto his back.

Bless his backpack for breaking the fall.

Most definitely an ordinary sight, yep. Just a summoner and his summon getting a little down on the ground, literally.

Alright, who's the poor bastard that managed to step, or maybe stomp, or hell even just ran over probably the most obvious intrusion on the road. Come on people, the tail was ORANGE.

[[( OOC: It could be anyone or thing that did it (; )]]

As Vincent walked around the city he eventually came onto the bridge he encountered a very strange sight; There was a orange creature with wings lying down on the ground next to a black haired male wearing a back pack. "This must be one of those summoner mages I've heard of" he thought to himself as he stood there looking down at the both of them chuckling slightly
"Want a hand there lad?" He held a hand out in a offer of assistance although if he didn't use his eyes to actually look he would have no idea if the backpack guy actually took his hand or not and that would cause no end of embarrassment.

Back to the matter at hand though; What was the story with this guy and his feathered friend? That was a matter worthy of true investigation but he would at least wait for the backpacker to get off the ground; strange having a conversation with somebody lying in the dirt of this city and kinda rude now that one stops to think about it.
Although for some reason he thought that the fact he ended up on the floor had something to do with his feathery company here and speaking of which.

"So.. your friend here some sort of summon?" He asked gesturing with a nod towards the bird like person, he was defiantely a strange sight to see and a sight Vincent had never ever seen before in his entire life. Vincent had just remembered that he had forgotten to share his own name which was rude and rather impolite.

"My names Vincent the amazing chemical mage by the way good sir" He smiled politely still holding out his hand; Looks like he had found that interesting thing to keep him occupied for the next couple of hours until his client returned home from the affairs that had been keeping him preoccupied.

Really Dryke? The words echoed in his mind that Czash wanted to retort, would've retorted, if the air hadn't been cleanly knocked right out of him. The one in question was now caressing assumeably the spot that would've been flattened if this were some comedic cartoon. Maybe not a cartoon, but it was certainly humorous seeing the previously stretched out spirit now huddled in a fetal position just to reach the spot of discomfort. Yowe know, if seeing pain was your thing.

Vaguely, Czash noted something akin to laughter in the distance. Too jarred to really care about the appearance of his predicament, the young mage attempted to at least keep the sky from twirling or changing colour to purple, until his brain was able to catch that oh, Yes, that is a man's face, and his hair. He's talking. Yes Czash, that is indeed a hand, and one he gratefully took. "Yeah, thank." At least he wasn't too disoriented, if the retained ability to pull himself up was anything to go by.

Now, being a fairly tall boy, could Czash really have been blamed when his blue and red eyes widened at the near-foot difference in height? It wasn't often that he was looking up. It took all he could to try not to verbally speak it, but not even his efforts could stop the tell-tale signs of mouthing whoa and forgetting about the clasped grip. Even so, he wasn't surprised when the inevitable conversation carried. Why else would someone stick around after helping out? Curiousity, oh curiousity strikes again. Czash didn't scowl at the thought though, it was only natural.

Dryke however, sharply glanced up at the word summon, and felt no need of restraint toward the forming glare following a snort. Is that what humans always assumed? It wasn't false, by no means, and even the spirit knew it as one of his Truths. But still, he was secondly, and more importantly, a companion of mutual benefits. Among other things. Really though, Dryke was just sour about having been treaded over by who-knows-what, but even that was starting to dwindle. At least he could be treaded over now, which was assuring... if not for the obvious pain. Not that anything broke as far as he could tell.

And with that, the spirit went back to stroking his tail just as quickly as he acknowledged the stranger. It really had only been a moment, but it was enough for Czash to look over the purple-haired man. "Mmm, that's one way to put it." Czash smirked, all too knowing of the reason behind Dryke's attitude. "And I, Czash, though you can call me Thii. Yeah, the lisp doesn't exactly help," he replied, again all too knowing of his speech. Now he noticed never letting go of the other mage's hand, so he opted to shake it once before releasing grip.

"And he, Akiuldris Ovi, the great winged ram spirit with no sense of awareness to his surroundings!" Czash introduced grandly. At this, the spirit returned his attention to the humans. It was all jest of course, he knew, and took to the cue. Dramatically mock-scowling, Aki lifted himself to full height, 5'8" of horns, fur, wings, and all. One eye roll and side slap to his friend later, the spirit bowed, minding his wings and horns. Polite to those polite to them, he could at least manage. Upon rising, Aki arched an eyebrow and motioned questioningly at Vincent's... well. Everything really. The clarifying finger point toward the bottles of the taller man's belt followed.

Vincent gripped the backpacker mages hand and pulled him up onto the ground, it was possible he might have accidently gripped too hard and if so then he was sorry but whatever, didn't apply right now as the shorter person hadn't made any indicator of discomfort or pain.

He looked over at the orange sprit that had now huddled up into a fetal position which made a light chuckle of amusement escape from his own lips, said chuckle of amusement had raised in volume when he noticed that red and blue eyes of this shorter mage widen in shock as he mouthed something, most likely a word of shock at Vincent's incredibly tall and very rare height.

He heard a snort emanate from the orange sprit and looked over in time to notice a scowl having grown over his face, but why he was scowling, if the orange sprit was an male that is, was unknown unless of course Vincent had accidently offended him.

"pleased to meet you then short stuff and I don't mind the lisp, my nerves don't even work so let’s call it evens" he chuckled as a smirk grew over Thii's lips as he shook Vincent's hand and then let go of it; Vincent hadn't even noticed he forgot to let go of Thii's hand and only noticed when he looked down to see he had let go.
Vincent groaned and face palmed about his little embarrassment involving the handshake even though he hadn't even felt the face palm, not like he had any sense of feeling after all which normally was not that big a hold back except when he couldn't see, that's when it really did bite him in the ass.

Turning his attention over to the orange one known as Aki, he nodded at him and gave a casual salute as the sprit rose up to his full height; Ha, he was still shorter then Vincent and that brought another slight chuckle to his face as Aki bowed and raised an eyebrow then motioned questioningly pointing at the collection of bottles strapped around Vince's belt.

"My creations caught your eye eh laddo? Well like I said, I am an alchemist" he may not use those bottles during battle but he still brought them with him for business purposes, to show off his work and impress potential clients, it was how he made his own living after all yet a healer he was not.
Oh heavens no, he may of created some healing potions in his lifetime but most of them tended to explode and damage things yet, this sometimes bit him in the ass, like that one time with the purple dye hence his purple hair, an unnatural colour which normally didn't occur in humans.

That really wasn't much of an answer, but the implications were enough for Aki to accept as he turned to something more interesting over the bridge's wall railing. Disregarding the spirit's rudeness, Czash let his curiousity out with a slew of questions and comments. "I thought alchemy was a form of science? Though technically, alchemy could be magical depending on who and where you query, and then you'd have to figure in what was even happening with those chemicals... Nomenclature aside, that's pretty cool. Career in it too? Ah, assuming it's more than just your magic? Not that I mean to intrude into your life. Don't answer if you don't want to, seriously." At the last bit, Czash had thrown his hands up in front of his chest, palms facing Vincent to help get the message across. Not that he thought of the other man as unable to read expression, oh no! Misunderstandings just seemed to happen a lot wherever the boy went, was all, if his sheepish look was anything to go by.

Hah, sheepless.
Could've been punched by Dryke if he heard that one, phew. . .
Well, if he were next to him anyway.

"Uh." Now behind Vincent, the spirit in question had managed to move over to lean over the railing, arms hanging into the breeze. Most of his body was still on the bridge, but his wings were stretching this and that way with the strengthening wind. Right by the older man's shoulders. Czash could swear some of the feathers were actually making contact. Dead nerves, right. Funny guy as Vincent was, it appeared that he wasn't joking. Or really just didn't feel feathers poking into his denim, hmm. Wind was picking up though, the boy could feel his hoodie's windsock literally starting to get picked up.

"You heading anywhere? We were just exploring the city, and are probably going to head out in search of whatever there is soon. Otherwise, Dryke here's going to come out all ruffled if we stay in this wind when it picks up." The spirit turned his head and laid it on the railing, looking at both the humans as he neither rejected nor affirmed the exaggerated assumption, but instead let out a content hum. Comfortable as he was, it was high time they started moving. Finally!

But it wasn't like the spirit had been idle all that time. He was thinking about the man's words. Sure it had been 14 or so years on this world, but he had only been awake for... 3 years-worth of it? And he'd never known anyone alive and able to walk who couldn't feel much of the world. Strange... and quite sad to the spirit. He knew what it was like being... invisible... to many, but it hadn't occurred to the spirit about the reasoning behind this other mage's inability, as Aki had found fit to dub. Was it temporary? Maybe it was temporary. Aki's lack of touch had been due to being separated from a piece of himself, so maybe it was the same for this guy? Intentionally, he let his wings rub against the other man, frowning, and made an effort to show his worry to the other guy. This condition was definitely not normal.

"We're not from here, but we've got the whole day so if you've got somewhere to go don't worry about- Is something up?" Czash immediately changed his attention when he finally saw Dryke's fretting frown. The movement of his massive wings wasn't exactly hard to miss, either. The spirit only shook his head when finally addressed, before twirling one of his golden curls in thought, all while vaguely staring at Vincent. It'd be real nice if Dryke talked, like actually decided to talk in the human language, but it wasn't something Czash forced upon the spirit. Usually he could decipher the cryptic messages, but right now... Well. If it wasn't important enough, then he guessed it could be dropped. "Then, anyway..."

Ah... and here came the questions regarding his unique combination between magic and science; while he did understand Thii's interest sometimes it did kind of annoy him that people just plan couldn't figure it out for themselves. He looked at Thii's thrown up arms and chuckled, this guy wasn't exactly a talking type was he?

"Well short stuff, while normally yes, it is a science in its own right my teacher discovered a way to apply magical energy to the ingredients during the creation process and said magical energy affects the ingredients drawing out different effects" Vincent had lost track of the orange spirit but he just assumed he was doing "spirity" stuff and if the orange spirit was behind him having his wings poking into Vincent's shoulders then... he could not feel it, nope, nadda, zilch.

"Where’s your feathered friend fluttered off to kiddo?" Vincent asked the thought of turning around not having occurred to him. Vince had then been asked if he was heading anywhere which he really wasn't, he was just waiting the hours away until his potential client returned home.

"I am not really going anywhere, I'm waiting for somebody so I'm just trying to pass the time away" and that is the cold cut truth and he still hadn't noticed Aki was behind him, not like he had any sense of feeling at any part of his body, stupid blasted defect.
Vincent moved the purple fringe of his hair out of his eyes and nodded at the last thing Thii said, so the two of them where not from the city either? Good, at least he had some company but that chain of speech didn't ask and for a moment Vincent thought Thii was asking him "what was up" but he realised it wasn't and turned around suddenly to see that the orange spirit was behind him.

"So that’s where you were" Vincent said not shocked that he had no idea the orange spirit was there, after all he had no sense of feeling but it wasn't due to any damage or anything oh heavens no, Vincent just had a birth deficiency that prevented the electrical impulses from his nerves from actually reaching his brain and therefore had no sense of feeling at all.
