The Dragon of Grimiore Heart
|
“Hi, I’m Shorai and this here is Mushu. It’s nice to meet you”. Were the only words that rung out through the desolate waste. Relyk nodded, extending his hand. "Relyk, Relyk Swiftblade." He said warmly, though he dared not reveal who he was. As the small creature glared, the slayer would tilt his head. He lifted his hand out, potentially revealing his own source of power and scent to the small winged creature. "You're a brave, strong and proud creature huh?" Relyk questioned, eyes narrowing as he stared back. Relyk had a profound amount of respect for any creature that resembled or was part of the dragon race. After the odd moment of silence, the charred embers which filled the place would offer their own ambiance as they sizzled. Before Relyk could pursue a different course for action, a man would come crashing through the already beat up wall, landing next to the corpse. The silver haired man didn't seem hostile, though Relyk kept his guard up none the less. He was busy shouting, but something did catch his attention. Princess? What was that about, was this girl he had been talking to, actually a princess? As he stood there, glancing down to the man with low eyes, he would sigh. He went to speak, but the rumbling of the structure was louder, and the sound was all too dangerous to ignore. "We all need to get out of here, like..right now.." Relyk muttered, looking to the flimsy walls which held the remaining debris up. As his head arced back and forth, large deep cuts could be seen on the walls, almost as if some crazy minded person decided to take a sword to the stone in order to vent out his frustrations. He finally decided that he needed to make his exit. "Dammit..where are you Eric..?" Relyk thought, though not because of the recent happenings. The Slayer had been trying to track down his friend for a while now, and the demonic black haired child wasn't making it easy on Relyk. The Fairy Tail mage often at times found himself laughing, thinking that Fulminis was easier to find. Once making his way out, he would look to the sky. "There was a single body in the ruins..and there appeared to be a fight. I wonder if that means..is there a possibility of another fight taking place right now? Typically Eric would stroll by and at least say hello before departing. It's the only thing I can actually think of for him to be avoiding me." Relyk looked around, soon spotting the first scene that he had witnessed being attacked from before. "If I'm right..there will either be a fight taking place..or another contorted body. Either way, I need to find out." With that, the man would lift his hands up far beyond on his head. "Claws, of the Lightning Dragon.." Lightning soon covered his feet and hands, three large talons erupting from each hand and foot. The talons were about eight inches in length, and made of pure lightning magic. The base of his hands and feet were also engulfed by a lightning aura, making the visibility of skin nearly non-existent. If Shorai had made it out, he would turn to her, waving. His eyes would also look for the small dragon like creature. Perhaps the name of the spell would reveal a little about himself as he took off down the street. Running on two legs wasn't that adequate, so naturally he would jump to all fours. The traction from the claws would not only offer more speed, but he would be able to practically shock grip his way onto any surface, save water. He had to get there as a fast as possible, running at his top speed, he would notice the bystanders watching in horror. Relyk wasn't a blur, no instead he was just merely running at high speeds, a typical athlete could have performed the same feat. It had taken him five minutes to reach the scene, well.. five minutes to get within a quarter mile of the location. He could smell lingering scents. "Is that..Ryo?.. Eric?" Relyk muttered as he fumbled his thoughts. The slayer allowed his magic to dispurse, and started walking. He tilted the brim of his hat down, his blonde hair and blue eyes hidden. No, he was going to watch from afar and if things got out of hand, he would join in on the fun. That was his best bet.. but more than likely Eric would finish things smoothly, and Relyk would be able to catch the kid for a moment or two to converse his future. |

"Was it follow the screams or the explosions? Crap... i forgot..." Oberon said to himself as he walked along the street towards founder's bridge, a small area about a good couple blocks long, the place was a small local place that people would usually meet as a marker in this part of the city, he didn't know the history of it- although he didn't acre honestly, the last teacher he had was his anatomy teacher and he had killed her once she recognized him as that oh so vulnerable child from all those years ago. Instead Oberon took solace in the momentary silence as he walked, "Shit was getting too loud anyways" he muttered to himself as he was probably going to take a nice long nap after this or something of the like, probably read some dusty old tomes about blood magic that he borrowed from the guild library- gah, he hated having to read. Luckily though he wasn't illiterate and was able tot tell where he was thanks to the street signs pointing him in the right direction towards the bridge. He pushed a strand of black hair out of his eyes and rubbed them, yeah he was going to take a nap after this- probably for the rest of the day. Oberon chuckled slightly, "Guitar sound's nice... that and some piano" the blood mage said, wishing that he had brought his walkman with him. Yovel had decided to go ahead of him, it was probably for the best since Oberon had been focusing on finishing the perfection of his magical maturity- meaning that basically he was nearly there in terms of mastering his blood magic, it was just at the expense of his physical strength that he was paying for it the most. Growling, Oberon craved the day when his magic was finished growing and he could go to the gym for hours before going home to sleep and order pizza, for now though he was stuck just walking along the sidewalk of Coreopsis while Yovel sped ahead like a little blond speed demon that he was. "Yeah you go ahead! IM RIGHT BEHIND YOU!" Oberon said as he quickly lost sight of the blond, unfortunately though for Yovel- Oberon knew where he was going, and he probably did not. Thus Oberon let out a slight chuckle to no one in particular before cutting through an alleyway to get to the bridge faster, he knew plenty of the back alley areas around here, the tall buildings of Coreopsis made it easy to sneak through without being handicapped. In a flash and a couple back alley passages later though the blood mage had appeared out on the other side of the now abandoned buildings where he looked at one of the canals of Coreopsis flowing in front of him an- oh! There was the bridge. Before he could make a witty comment though a silver streak appeared to ripple throughout the sky and erupted like a pillar up ahead a ways. Taken back by the anomaly, the dark mage instinctively jumped somewhat in response- he was used to fast reactions like that saving his life when he needed them. Once the pillar of silver light had died down though, Oberon was left with two options. Go discover what made the light, or wait for Eric to come back. "-Who am i kidding? ITs obvious now that wherever there are explosions Eric is somehow involved, kid should get therapy or some shit" Oberon said before he started running across the bridge to the scene ahead. It took him a while, and it looked like Yovel had still managed to beat him there, but it seemed as though a crowd of strangers and- "RYO! Damn man where the hell have you been?" Oberon said nonchalantly while walking up to the ginger wrecker. "Listen man, there's been some crazy stuff going on around here" Oberon said, he noticed Eric and nodded to him in acknowledgment before looking back at his partner. And make no mistake, Oberon didn't feel obliged to wait, he would talk to his partner now and ask what the hell was going on. He noticed the dead kid though, that caused some of the enthusiasm to go out of his voice,"Oh... that's unfortunate..." Oberon said, looking at the dead child before looking at Ryo, than Eric, than Yovel, than the other two s- A sudden flare entered Oberon's mind though, a stinging memory resurfacing despite the effects of the amnesia and drugs given to him to confuse his mind. A clear distinct punch and kick and train. There was something in the way the blond stranger walked that infuriated Oberon like a cat and a dog. Suddenly the memory hit him and the blood mage growled as he walked past to see the blond mage, "You... i know you... Kungi Station Remember?" Oberon said to the blond (Relyk) with a deep crimson glare- he wasn't phased by the fact he definately had magic, Oberon had that too! Stronger most likely and more sustaining that whatever Reyo had. "Are YOU reponsible for any of this? Becuase if you are i will be all to happy to end you where you stand" Oberon said with a somewhat sadistic yet serious grin. He remembered Reyo alright, didn't he have a pet though? Oh well, he could take him on. Although with the situation, it might be better until they figured all this out. Looking back at the dead boy and Ryo, Oberon growled and put his own personal vendettas aside before looking up at the silver man, "This isn't over, once this is done i'll be watching for you..." Oberon said before turning and walking back to Ryo, "Come on Boss Man, no time to mourn the dead" he said somewhat impatiently as the scene unfolded. |

As the smell of fresh blood filled the air, the sound of blood pouring into the ground something Ryo knew all to well it was a sound much different then the roar of destruction or screams of the soon to be dead, or even water itself. Some would call it a paint but to Ryo blood was not something to be painted with just spilled onto the ground. In this instance tho, only a truly pathetic human being would kill a defenseless child. Turning back around as the boy fell to the ground lifeless the dirk sticking out of him boldly. Ryo turned his gaze quickly to the roof following the trail of where it had been surely thrown. Seeing the pretty boy calmly stand their like some sort of noble executing his peasants for disobeying a order Ryo's blood started to boil. He should have attack him! He should have been the one stabbed not this boy, not in this setting of despair. The air around Ryo would begin to stir as his killing intent went from 0 to over 9000. The look in Ryo's eyes was flawless, it was pure and true, Ryo wanted this fancy dressed kid dead. As Eric appeared on scene Ryo wouldn't even really turn to acknowledge his presence till he had gotten closer. Eric would be able to see in the look in his eyes and monster to monster Eric would be able to tell Ryo was just unleashed. Oberon and Yovel on the other hand who had just gotten there after Eric would be able to tell that the goofy and careless goof that always just wanted people to laugh was not standing before him but the monster everyone not in Tartaros cursed, the Wildfire was raging! The Wildfire was bellowing, the flames burning hotter then ever before! " Help if you want, his corpse is mine. " Ryo would say rather addressing everyone and no sooner then that instantly burst forward in a mad dash toward the building. On his tenth step toward the boy at full speed Ryo's feet started to seem to be wrapped in flames once more." Flame " Ryo would say as he jumped into the air still movign forward but now using his strength to propel him even faster at the boy the ground it self cracking under the pressure of the push. " Imbue! " Ryo would shout as he shot forth like a burning fireball as his feet propelled with fire pushed him even faster at the boy. Swinging his chainsaw in a cross arc he had hoped to cleaved the boy in two with one swing but was by far to angry to want a quick simple death, thus with the swing Ryo flipped backwards upsides down coming back at the boy again with a thrust. It was a quite impressive display to be put on of pure skill and control, however Eric knew Ryo was still just testing the boy, and he needed to step in and assistance surely if they would both fell this target that took Eric some time to track and most likely the strongest of his current targets. Ryo on the other hand just wanted to boy dead and had no intention of stopping his assault till then. Edited by Hasaki Ryo, Jan 25 2013, 12:12 AM.

Everyone was gathering at the site of Eric's third attack - he and Ryo were the main players on one "side" though whether they were a side that would hold together for long was iffy at best with Relyk and Yovel and Oberon arriving after the fact and getting into some big group chum-fest. Eric was merely annoyed frankly, he was here to kill this white-haired dude but before he could do that he would need some information. Without it his whole reason for coming to Coreopsis was moot and if Ryo thought, even in his monstrously annoyed state -because of the death of some random child?- that he would be taking that kill from Eric before he got a chance to question the boy he had another thing coming. Of course, Eric still let Ryo leap ahead anyway, despite the fact he could have been up there at least three whole seconds before Ryo even spoke the words for his flight-thing whilst moving. No, Eric let the fire mage leap ahead first, he wanted to see if what the others had said about their leader in their final moments were true. He wasn't disappointed. Ryo's attack may have been fierce, hell it may have been good enough to kill any number of lesser mages, but the silver-haired boy didn't even react as Ryo charged -unless you count the fact his aura vanished a reaction- and except for an obvious sigh, he didn't move. He simply stood there, standing impassively with his left hand cradling the elbow of his other arm, his right hand still in the air, so as the chainsaw slashed down; as Ryo flipped himself backwards imperfectly and thrust forwards, the boy didn't move. In fact the attacks didn't even hit him, they seemed to just pass through him. As Ryo passed by, the momentum from the thrust unable to be cancelled due to the speed he had put into it, the boy's image wavered and faded, and Eric immediately became aware he was standing in the street next to him. He still didn't speak though, nor did he move to attack, but Eric's five swords lashed out in an instant, moving faster than Ryo himself had charged and all five moved differently, aiming to rend the silver-haired leader of the trio apart. But they too, passed through his body, his image fading a moment later and the boy himself reappearing on a rooftop on the opposite side of the street to Ryo. "Unlike that fool," Eric said calmly, spinning to face the rooftop with an enormous black bow in his left hand, his right pulled back with five large shining black arrows made of energy on the string, "I do not think you others should help - in fact I think none of you should. Instead I think you should all run, now, I'm not responsible for you dying in my attacks." And he loosed the arrows. For once the silver-haired boy reacted, his eyes narrowed and he tensed his legs, leaping out of the way of two of the arrows that had been aimed for him, whilst the other three had been aimed at the house. Thankfully Eric hadn't poured all of his usual power into those arrows but when they imploded a moment later and then exploded they still reduced the two-storey building -and the two to either side- to smoking ashes and nothing more. Discarding his bow Eric moved in that moment and appeared on the rooftop with his foe, ten enormous arms of energy rising up behind him. "Your magic," he said as he landed, the arms moving ominously around him, "It's an enabler isn't it? It activates when attacked physically?" The other man simply tapped his nose twice, then leaped away to a nearby rooftop one street over; trying to draw Eric further into the city. Well, he would find Eric was bad at chases, he always cheated... And if Ryo was intent on following he'd better hurry up. And Eric leaped after the silver-haired young man, intent on torturing several long sentences from him before he died... |

Oberon watched with trepidation as a new wave started to wash over Ryo like a fury, it scared Oberon somewhat to be frank, he still wasn't used to seeing his partner like this despite going on multiple missions with him to dangerous places and nearly getting themselves killed a few times. Luckily though, the blood mage was relieved to know that none of this agitation wasn't aimed at him in any way and was instead pointed towards the silver haired entity standing on the rooftop of the building ahead. Oberon glanced up at the boy before looking back at his partner, after exchanging glances between the two Oberon quickly tried to consul his friend, "Ryo listen man play smart and dontRUSHINTHERE!- and he's gone..." Oberon said to himself as the ginger fire mage had already launched forwards and upwards towards the silver haired boy who didn't seem phased by the attacks caused by Ryo in the least, which wasn't all that surprising- if this kid was strong enough to hold his ground against Eric AND Ryo theoretically he would be far less than scared of someone like Ryo who had blindly charged at his opponent in flame and in fury which seemed to consume him just as vigorously as he was consumed mentally with anger and frustration towards the silver haired boy. Oberon just sighed as he watched his friend- and acquaintance- fight the silve rhaired boy who had no troubled keeping on par with having to fight the two without being hindered in the slightest. The major difference between the silver mage and the crowd of angry mages that were congregating near him were that the two mages fighting him had both very energized and powerful reasons to why they would stop and kill this bastard whether it be only for information to avenge the death of some stupid kid that Ryo would probably forget by tomorrow. Oberon stuck his hands in his pockets and watched the carnage unfold. Unfortunately the plan of the group had backfired since it seemed as hough that the silver haired boy was able to nullify physical attacks of sorts such as the mighty chainsaw that Ryo was famous for. Using magic to combat the mage sounded ideal to be honest but he wasn't sure of Ryo's magically capability, he had no doubts about someone such as Eric but he was very very certain that Ryo would not be as effective in this fight as much as he thinks he would be. Thus Oberon didn't bother helping the two since it was so obvious that they were on there alone and worked better that way instead of teaming up, this whole incident was a one time event. Oberon chuckled at Erics announcement of wanting to leave since it was too dangerous here, thanks to the fact that the dark mage really didnt care who or what he hit- let alone if it was one of his acquainances or not. That was all fine by Oberon though as he made sure to retreat into one of the nearby alleyways and climbed himself off to watch the battle of the rooftops and see all the acton between the bandit and the two dark mages who could easily annihilate the modern and common man. The blood mage cackled and sat on an old chimney where he got a first class view of the show and the carnage that would soon ensue. HE decided not to intervene, especially since this was their own fights and not his. So that did he do during all of this? He said down and listened to his walkman before looking back up occasionally at the fight ensuing ahead of him. Eric would have his run and try to kill the man after Ryo was busy exhausting everything on trying to hit the boy in front lines so that Oberon could get a good look while the two fought. You never knew when these sorts of things happened. You only knew that did occur was the idea of democracy and reasoning was blown out of the conversation of circle. So instead the blood mage kept quiet and watche dparty. |

Before Shorai could have hoped to say a word in response to the reply that she received from Relyk the scene was disrupted in quite the dramatic fashion. Out of the blue a mix of embers and ash filled the air and the sound of something crashing through the crumbling ceiling above the trio using it as a hiding place rang out loudly in what had been relative silence in the area. Coughing on the ash that she was force to inhale and sheltering her eyes with her hand as she clenched them to prevent the burning embers from getting into them Shorai waved her free hand about in an attempt to clear the air. What the heck?! What fell through the roof? The time mage was assuming that the object that fell through the roof was something and not someone so when a scream of shock and horror came from directly next to her and something bumped into her as she rested on her knees her reaction was as you would expect. A jolt of surprise and a slight wiggle away from what had bumped her along with a squeak of surprise pretty much summed up how Shorai handled it, knowing that they needed immediate vision of what had just fallen through the roof Mushu braced himself on Shorai’s shoulder and started flapping his wings to clear the air. In a matter of moments the air around Shorai and Relyk for that matter had cleared up enough for her to see that it hadn’t been an object that had fallen through the roof after all, it was a person?! Laying on the ground near Shorai was a young looking man with hair much the same colour as the time mage’s own and his attire…well it did resemble something of a matching design to her own. Well now as if that wasn’t interesting and confusing enough Shorai soon found herself with an even larger question bubble above her head; princess?! Who? Her? Shorai turned her head from side to side looking for the person that the man before her was referring to but after finding no one other then Relyk, Mushu and herself there it became apparent he meant her. Her words were stuttered and stammered but she managed to get out a few before Relyk interrupted stating they needed to escape the building, “W-who?…me?…..n..no, I’m no~”. The increase in sounds as the rubble creaked and moaned before large chunks fell to the ground from the higher levels of the building brought Shorai to agree with Relyk even with the situation of conversation as it was and so with a nod the mage stood and followed him as he lead them out of the rubble. She would pause momentarily to make sure the white haired mage was following after them to safety but she wouldn’t speak. The group was silent as they emerged from the building and Shorai stood watching Relyk as he looked to the sky seemingly deep in thought, what was he thinking about? She gave a quick glance to the sky to see if she could see anything but after failing to find anything of interest she dismissed it and glanced to Mushu. “You alright Mushu?”, a proud creature as Mushu wasn’t about to say he’d been given just as much of a fright when the man fell through the ceiling so with a ‘humph’ like sound of his own he merely moved his body and readjusted his wings against body. With a smile Shorai gave the tiny dragonette a pat on the top of his head before having her interest drawn back to Relyk as he spoke some words that made literally no sense to her whatsoever. It seemed to be something to do with his magic as his hands and feet were quickly engulfed in what appeared to be lightning and although she found it interesting it seemed that Relyk was leaving. With nothing else to do but to wave back to the man and watch him run off down the street, Mushu too found the man interesting and with a ruffle of his own wings he attempted to give a sort of ‘I am acting like I don’t care but here is a goodbye between bro’s’. With Relyk gone Shorai and Mushu were left standing in the street in silence, well that was before they remembered the man that had crashed through the roof moments earlier. With the sudden realisation hitting her the time mage spun around to face the man in the clear air and sunlight; he really did have white hair just like hers and his clothes did feel similar in design but there were also stark difference that made themselves apparent in the visibility. While his eyes were an almost golden colour Shorai’s were a stark contrast in a deep sky blue and while his skin was moderately tanned her complexion was a pale porcelain. Once again for the second time in under an hour Shorai found herself speaking the same first words to someone she had just met, “Are, are you alright?”. Why was everyone doing things to get themselves hurt? Then again the place was being attacked and destroyed so it probably was a fitting set of encounters. |

Tyf didn't waste anymore time as he adjusted himself, that is to stop lying on the ground like a corpse (no pun intended for the other being that was lying next to him) and to sit somehow, following the other two as they seemed to be hiding from something. While he was now fully aware of a girl of similar features, he did keep his eyes on the other young man, who at that very moment seemed to be in control. Of course he would have to address the girl he called "Princess" later but he didn't like the tone of the other man as he sounded so… so… demanding at the least. Nevertheless, they had come to an agreement to vacate the area and so they did. Rushing out of the ruins of a building before more of the debris fell in from its dilapidated state, Tyf had come to see the change of the skyline outside. The city that once held his eyes in wonder and awe was now red from the flames and smoke that brought black into the sky. It was like an inferno on the making, a little short of hell as stories spoke of. And he couldn't tell the feelings that rushed into him in cascading anger. He wanted to end it. He had come to love Coreopsis that whatever was happening was definitely beyond forgiveness. "How dare they turn this city into such!" he uttered with gritted teeth and clenched fist. He wanted to run so badly and meet whoever was responsible, not even caring if he would win, and that alone was enough to show that he did care so much for the place for he usually measures his fights and never would enter into a reckless battle. Then his eyes looked back to the girl with the small winged familiar, and the blonde tall man next to them. They too seemed uneasy with the situation. "Yes, you." he finally answered her question before he realized something was wrong. He quick shook his head, raised a hand to his face as he blushed when he found fault in his assumption. "I mean no…no. Of course it cannot be. You are not the princess unless you're in the desert right now and hidden in the king's quarters and all that bruhahaha between tribes quarreling for your hand and marriage and perhaps even attempting assassination…" He ended up walking in small circles before stopping and facing her again. "No, I'm sorry. I've mistaken you for someone else now that I can see you more clearly…." he paused before his expression turned serious, "But it doesn't matter because the situation is dire and the city is in danger as much as you both are. We have to do something about this." And he looked to the direction of a new explosion in the distance, smoke climbing up to the clouds, "Terrifying magic is abound but instead of running, I find myself wanting to experience it." |

As the boy block Ryo's swing Ryo grinned his teeth back and forth together. As he did a back flip mid air and went thru the boy however Ryo growled quite loudly. He couldn't hit the boy with his chainsaw? He couldn't crush him under his strength? That left Ryo with only a few ploys left to man handle the boy. As Eric attempted to blast him with his arrows it seemed quickly obvious to Ryo that ranged attacks worked! There was a chance then...a chance to... Ryo had no time to waste as the two took off deeper into the city Ryo shot off flying at his full speed after the two, both of them where quite fast. Eric had rather gotten significantly faster, the young boy was finally growing up and was something more then just a child born with immense magical power. Eric was becoming truly someone Ryo didn't wanna cross right away. However as it seemed Ryo was unable to actually keep up with either of them despite flying over all the houses they had to pass thru that Ryo did not, Ryo simply figured it was time to slow this fancy pants down. " Blast Zone! " Ryo would shout as the shotgun like blast of flaming arcs shot forth, flying at great speeds, normally this attack was used to trap and destroy a group or a single enemy but this time, Ryo had a better idea, commanding the arcs to everywhere but his target! Not the homes and business's of the city tho but to the city it self, the bane Ryo stood over every day, the lake itself! the water that flows thru the city freely! A eruption of water from the arcs exploding and the after explosions causing large amounts of water on all sides of the boy to wash down on him. This would hopefully slow him down but a enemy like this and a simple ploy like this was unlikely, but Ryo really had little choice in the matter in attempts to slow him down, secondly what Ryo didn't realize that would help was the fact his watery explosion would assist in stopping the flames from entering this part of the city, tho it seemed fire crews where already coming out and starting to put out the fires, he had unknowingly done his part. Ryo just wanted this fancy guy dead, in Ryo's mind he had attacked the city, blow up and killed his guild members, city patrons, and even dared to attack people around him instead of him self. This was the lowest of the low, this was Ryo's home, dark mage or not he protected the people if he could, so long as they followed guild rule. That boy, that boy had done nothing! Nothing to this noble looking fancy dressed elitist! He had no reason to kill the young boy to wound Ryo, and personally speaking Ryo would have taken the blade for the blow if he could. No matter how you looked at it, this guy, this guy had to go down! |

The Dragon of Grimiore Heart
|
Relyk eyed the scene from afar, looking up as he crossed his arms. His eyes scanned the fiery red haired warrior and his attempts on the silver haired boy, though as he watched the flame imbue spark up, he could notice yet another figure standing just directly behind the small child's corpse. After catching that, he would look back up, just in time to see Ryo dart straight through the apparition. It was a decent magic, and it was starting to rowel up the Slayer's curiosity as he noticed Eric catch sight of the real figure. The small child had used a technique that Relyk was pretty unsure of. It appeared to be a bow, with five magical arrows knocked. "oh..shi-.." Relyk thought as he turned to run behind cover. Though much to his surprise, the attacks weren't as powerful as Relyk intended them to be, watching from the safety of a large wall as building debris came whizzing by the street. Dialogue was being spoken, but the slayer couldn't much hear anything. That was quite unfortunate, this situation seemed to be getting out of hand, and fast. As Eric took to the rooftop pursuit, Ryo would follow. As Ryo activated his magic, causing a large tidal wave to fly up and surround the kid. Though, Relyk didn't quite expect that to work as he started moving quickly down the streets. His speed wasn't even close to Eric's, Ryo's, or the stranger's, but no matter. As he closed the distance between the burning wreckage, he would notice a bridge from afar. There seemed to be two figures from afar watching the fight. That was odd, normal citizens would typically be fleeing, and running frantically in attempts of saving their own skins. "could be more enemies.. I better go check it out.." And with that, he jumped to all fours once more, running with as much speed as possible. With a minute or two, he would come to the bridge, only to notice TWO familiar faces. Relyk threw himself behind a building by the base of the bridge, not wanting to be spotted"There's Yovel, but Is that..the kid from the train station?" Relyk thought, eyes narrowing on the boy as his lightning magic flared quietly. Oberon was now running to a nearby ally way, climbing to the roof as he watched the fight rage on. Perhaps that was the smartest decision, and with a grunt, found himself scaling the building that he was hiding behind quite easily. As he made it to the top, he would stand, waving to the stranger just across the street who was now sitting on the chimney. "Who else am I going to run into while I'm here?" Relyk thought, before returning his gaze back to the fight which would surely consume the city in all of it's power. Edited by Madge, Jan 25 2013, 10:19 PM.

Eric noticed the nearby addition to Ryo of this chase and he silently gritted his teeth as he ran, leaping from building to building easily and keeping time with the silent silver-haired/eyed/clothed antagonist before him while they both outran the flying fireball that was Ryo. The older boy was strong, Eric wouldn't ever doubt that, but he lacked subtlety, he lacked imagination and above all he lacked finesse (yes it was different to subtlety) and he really had no place in this fight. Sure, it was "his" city and all that but the fact of the matter was it was Eric's fight - he was the one who had taken the leads he had found in all the other major cities in Fiore and combined them into his theory; it was he who had found the financial proofs behind what he had theorised and it was he who had acted. Coreopsis was not the first city he had hit, but in each of the others they had just thought of it as random arsons and murders, nothing major. This was the first -and only- time there had been such a reaction but he should have expected it from here of all places. Still, he ran, the silver-haired young man finally slowing slightly just as some random arcs of fire flashed around them and slammed into the water below the city -tearing through the ground to get to it- and both Eric and the silver haired boy slowed to a skidding halt as the water exploded upwards and around them. The silver-haired boy did a pivoting step, a long thin blade drawn in one hand but Eric lashed out before he completed that turn, not with his own weapons but with his magic. Those enormous arms on his back struck out, two of the hands openly slamming into the boy and actually connecting for once, one hitting him square in the stomach and catching him by surprise as it hit him extremely hard -in fact it was twice the strength of Eric himself, just as the arms moved at twice the speed- and the second one coming down on his back as he doubled over, slamming downwards in a fist and dropping him to the ground with an audible 'crack'ing sound. Walking over slowly with all of the arms hovering around him ominously Eric bent down and moved the boy's chin up, idly tilting his head to the side as the rapier thrust outwards, scoring a slight cut across the boy's cheek and grinning as it did. "You're going to talk to me now," he said with a low little laugh, "I want to know who you work for and even if you don't want to talk, you will. I can guarantee that you will." Unfortunately things soured as the boy opened his mouth, revealing that he could not speak without a tongue and Eric's eyes narrowed angrily. Of course he should have expected something like this but... well he had had hopes. Still with their operation in shambles, whatever it had been, he had no reason to care any longer. So instead he took a step back and simply stood there while the boy tried to rise with his broken back. If Ryo wanted this kill, he could have it now. |
