Coreopsis was a beautiful city, anyone who was there would have to admit that, and even if you weren't a fan of the sub-gothic architecture you could see the aesthetical pleasentness of the entire place. The fact it was suspended over water made it even nicer too in some ways, the broad streets in the various sections of the floating city that were actually walkable were litter-free and busy but not crowded - people here were relatively happy with their lot in life and it was such a nice thing. Sure, there were some dark clouds in the horizons of anyone who lived here by the name of "Tartaros Guild" but they were far-off really unless you were a business owner, and then your clouds could be easily persuaded to move on if you payed a small tithe fee. In short the city was a nice place to live, arguably one of the best in Fiore if you didn't mind the reputation that came with living in the same city as one of the Major Dark Guilds of the country, and the presence of the Aurelian Tower made everything far nicer. On this particular day in the city of Coreopsis the focus of the scene was on a small little restaurant in the Centre District, maybe two miles from both the Guild Hall of Tartaros itself as the crow flies and about half a mile from the Founder's Bridge. The restaurant was a respectable little place, nice enough but weary and resigned in some ways particularly since it was a meeting place for the members of Tartaros on their off days. Maybe it was because the owner so readily fixed the broken chairs and tables of his patrons -part of his magic really- or maybe it was the buxom lasses who ran the waitressing or the attractive men behind the bar, but the little restaurant known as "The Last Rest" was a definite favourite. Which was a problem really, because everyone knew that and if anyone had a mind for causing trouble with the Guild of Tartaros they would know exactly where to start it. In fact that was a very large issue both now and in the immediate future as the door to The Last Rest opened up quietly and a small figure slipped in. The figure wasn't even 5' in height, resting about 3" shorter than that milestone, but was well-dressed even for being short and, if anyone had bothered to look, was also quite young. The only person who even saw him -for it was indeed a boy- enter was one of the waitresses who raised a finger with a good-natured grin for him to wait there, as she served several other tables. He grinned back, though not good-naturedly, and it was a good thing the woman turned away then because if she had have seen his grin she would have run screaming and alerted them all. It wouldn't have mattered of course, the boy's grin was a precursor to immediate horrors and a moment later, maybe three seconds at most, the entire place exploded. Those outside were shocked as The Last Rest, a place known for punch-ups but never anything more, actually exploded outwards in a monstrous gout of flames, the screams from inside shattering the peace and tranquility of the city around it. Some people tried to stagger out only for a second explosion to rip through the air, a third one happening a moment later but straight upwards this time, creating a shining beacon of fire for a moment that faded away and simply continued to burn, beginning an enormous column of smoke that rose into the air as high as the Aurelian Tower some distance away. And on a rooftop on the opposite side of the street, standing still with his face illuminated by the flames nearby, Eric Bashere grinned. The first blow had been landed, let them see how they would retaliate, or if they could catch him at all, as he slipped away. |

As the sound of chaos and death echoed thru the streets, a clamor would stir inside Tartaros as a few people busted thru the doors, guild members rather low in rank and in power would announce that there was something stirring up in the center district, that The Last Rest blew up. Before the matter could be even spoken about calmly or sorted out for details the doors would nearly break off their hinges as what looked to be a fireball shot out from the guild taking to the skies and flying toward the restaurant at alarming speed it was clear to everyone in the guild what and who that was. Ryo had taken flight and to action to protect the city, be it a small fire, a bombing, or anything else Ryo always protected the city of Coreopsis for it was his home. Ryo would scan the area from above seeing someone calmly moving away from the scene dressed in rather nice clothes, Ryo first idea..Raven Tail, revenge for his stunt in their rebuilding when he closed shop of one of their stores a few weeks back. Shooting down to the end of the ally the person was walking down Ryo would appear a few meters away from the person. However as he got to the see the person's face Ryo was quite puzzled pure confusion was on Ryo's face as if he was just asked a riddle or something of the sort, he stood there just obviously in deep thought trying to think as to why...this guy had GIANT sunglasses on! The man himself seemed quite startled and scared as Ryo hovered in place looking at the man quite puzzled as to WHY he had such huge sunlgasses and where the person who blew up this building was. OOC:Edited out coming across, didnt see that last part. Edited by Hasaki Ryo, Jan 20 2013, 12:02 AM.

[[OOC: You realise the restaurant is 2 miles from the Guild Hall right? Eric is already way gone.]] Maybe a half-mile away -as soon as the fireball had launched into the sky from the Guild of Tartaros- and just alongside the spectacular Founders Bridge in Coreopsis, another restaurant was stirring. Thankfully this next place, a place known as "The Lion" was not as well known as a Tartaros hang-out, it was simply a nice establishment that the common folk could enter and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet with their meal in. Sure they had entertainment but it was never anything too boisterous, usually jugglers or a single singer or maybe, on a busy night, a dulcimer and a zimmer or a flute. Nothing too much really but it was always quality stuff, quality over quantity was the owners motto and he followed it to a tee. But he was a frugal man in some respects as well, his staff were slightly under-paid for how much they worked and the customers always left wanting just a little bit more, though never to any degree that they could understand. And it was unfortunate for them as a small figure entered their establishment, a figure that was noticed this time but far too late. It was always too late for others when Eric wanted them dead, and while he was here for a purpose he would have a little fun beforehand with that purpose. So as he walked into the establishment he grinned up at the waitress who walked over to him, his grin alone causing her to recoil and turn to call for the owner, the man behind the bar. She only got out a few syllables of panic before Eric struck, but the man had looked up in alarm as she started to yell. Then the fire came again. The explosion drew onlookers this time, for they were close to the Founders Bridge and it was such a high-traffic area that people were able to look this time as the place exploded upwards in a monstrous gout of fire. Then it exploded outwards, debris falling amongst the onlookers who began to scatter in fear. The next burst of fire was not inside however, it was outside, and the civilians began to die. It was not immediately clear where the fire had come from though, it was almost like it had just blossomed amongst them from no real point of origin. From a nearby rooftop though Eric Bashere lowered his hand, the red aura around his left arm dancing happily as the fire magic he had summoned was used. This was sure to draw attention, he wanted the attention to be drawn here and if it didn't happen soon he'd have to do something drastic. No, this wasn't drastic, this was simply basic. And with that he vanished again, moving on to his third -and hopefully final- target for the moment... |

A man could be seen walking quietly, covered with clothing, face hidden from view thanks to the black cowboy hat which rested on his head. In the distance, a large explosion could be seen, and the crowd was going crazy. Screams littered the air, and some had fallen to their knees. "Sheesh, you'd think the world had just ended." Relyk thought, smirking wildly as he cracked his knuckles. He could smell Eric's scent, and by the looks of things, this was his doing. The Dragon Slayer looked up to a tall building, eyes looking over the now troubled citizens. With a soft sigh, he would activate his dragon claws, scaling the building easily. The magic was quite effective as it allowed from his to shock grip his way onto surfaces. In reality, he just needed to climb the building in order to view the current destruction. He figured this wasn't going to be the last of Eric's 'fun', and he wasn't about to miss out on it either. Relyk was currently going through a new state of mind. He was growing more cunning, more manipulative. He cared not for his allegiance to Fairy Tail, in fact he wished to drop the guild. He already had ambitions of joining Gremior Heart, which was motive enough to cast off the 'good boy' act. The world would finally realize who Relyk really was, and he cared not if his infamy reached the ear's of Fairy Tail. Perhaps he would enjoy himself as he rode into Magnolia, only to repeat the same process which was about to unfold in this very city. He was now sitting on the top of the building, which must've been six stories tall. His legs dangled as his hair danced in the wind. His bright blue eyes were now scanning the city for someone who he saw as his friend. Even though looks were quite deciteful, he doubted that anyone would actually pick a fight with the black haired demon from hell. But, if anyone were to pick a fight, something would start happening very soon. He had to look out for signs, perhaps maybe if he created a signal for his friend, the whole 'searching' process would become a lot more manageable. So, as he scanned the area, he would find his target. It was a well sized building, maybe six or seven blocks away. A large sign rested over the establishment, a bill board if you will. The ad was a picture of three women, who were embracing each other. Under their photos, the word "Alliance, find your fantasy today." Relyk's eyes widened, almost choking on his own laughter as he focused himself. With a wickid grin, he would release a large lightning roar todays the building. With any luck, the destruction caused by his attack would be seen, and he would be able to meet up with Eric to offer him a helping hand. |

As Ryo stood confused by the man with extremely large glasses he would hear another explosion in the city. " G'all it! " Ryo would curse loudly as he flew back up and scanned the area to find out where the second explosion was seeing smoke rise up about a mile away from where he was Ryo would growl in a low voice and started to fly at full speed toward the site however he would come to a stop as another! Thats right already another explosion erupted in the city not far from the other one! " STOP IT YOU BASTARDS!!!! " Ryo would yell as he charged toward the third explosion. As he arrived however at this third blast site the carnage was by far different then the first he already seen, it seemed more exterior then interior. The blast marks where slightly different then before too, something was strange, there was two people attacking the city!? " OI SHOW YOURSELF BASTARDS! YA WANT TO MESS WITH THIS CITY ITS TIME FOR IT TO MESS WITH YOU! " Ryo would shout loudly looking around frantically searching for some sign of someone who had done this! Surely Relyk would know Ryo's smell all too well it was his choice to come say hi or not. As for Ryo he lacked really detective skills to really find out who was here, so the constant hit and runs where leaving him for a loop, he needed to find some evidence, catch the person red handed, or someone else from the guild to truly track down the culprit as it seemed everyone was to scared to man up to their own deeds which Ryo found quite chicken. |

Traveling through the air, Yovel was riding on Vits’ back towards Coreopsis. The city that was known to house the Tartaros guild hall. Now this was a tricky situation since there was word that Eric sought to cause destruction in the city. It was complicated as Yovel wasn’t sure what he should do. There was no way in hell that he could stop Eric from harming people and there was little chance of defeating him. Eric was too strong and his magic would render Yovel useless. He hoped his friend Clear and mentor Ryo were safe, but knowing them, they would instantly seek out Eric to stop him. Yovel was in the midst of experimenting to increase the individual powers of his glyphs as well as rework the magic structure to make it easier to continuously use the spell in combat. But even so he wasn’t sure if they would work or not as he might come back to his lab finding a destroyed room with the experiment failing and blowing up. Vits cawed to inform Yovel of the situation up ahead. Yovel could see through the clouds that the lake was below them. The pristine waters were dulled by the smoke and smog that was billowing from the city itself. Moving across the lake as it does, the city was in turmoil with the subsequent assaults mostly caused by Eric. Yovel had just arrived and it took some time to figure out the situation. There was a lot of destruction in two different major areas of the city. Most likely caused by Eric, but the area affected was quite small. He could see that the source of the flames and smoke was a small block of buildings rather than large scale destruction. The area between the two areas was quite a distance, but Yovel knew Eric’s speed and it wouldn’t be surprising for Eric to move quickly. Even so the mages from Tartaros would be in an uncertain situation with the two attacks. The knights or the civilians might be rushing to manage the situation, but for the mages they would have to be cautious as Eric might be drawing them out before assaulting the guild hall and taking out the higher ups with the reduced number of guild members within the halls. Vits then retreated back into the clouds as they were exposed. Even at their height, they could have been mistaken as the cause of the attacks on Coreopsis and even if mages generally can’t reach Vits’ height there were a few like the giant’s armour with its increased throwing ability and lacryma based weapons and structural targeting systems that could clip Vits’ wing. Entering the clouds Vits circled the city upwind from the smoke as it would be detrimental to both Yovel and Vits to be hiding in the smog. Yovel then focused on the city below and watched it for anymore explosions. Even if he had a fuzzy view of the city below, explosions would cause a quick flash which would alert them to any activity into the city. Hopefully he can reach Eric before anyone else does and determine his goals. |

The final target for this series of exceptionally unfortunate events within the city of Tartaros was different from the other two prior to it -at least the targets from one named Eric Bashere- in that it was not a restaurant but a bank. In fact it was a rather odd bank, it had a reputation for the highest customer satisfaction in the city and it was quite some distance from the first two locations, across the Founder's Bridge and maybe another half-mile down a few streets and alleyways. It was a nice enough place, white marble exterior with a nice stone-and-metal design on the inside, showing wealth to display prominence as a good place to store money but not too much wealth which meant it was flippant with its customers money. No, this place was a good bank, trustworthy and secure and it even was named, The Third Bank of the Century. Its clientele were mostly wealthy too and whilt it payed titheing to the local Dark Guild it did not pay much for it was protected enough. See, Tartaros wasn't the only group this bank payed titheing too, just as The Lion and The Last Rest had also payed it to another group. They weren't the only places that did so, most places in the city had informants or bodyguard or security companies that they payed but these ones had another thing that connected them, something that also connected a lot of places in other cities that the one who was blowing them up had visited. In Trillium and Magnolia he had found several shopping marts had been paying money to this mysterious group, in Belladonna and Acacia he had found workshops that payed to this group and here and in Poinsettia they had been banks and restaurants. Someone was moving in, a group that the attacker worried enough about to begin a plan to stop them already, though a group he sadly knew nothing about. Unlike the last two, The Lion and The Last Rest, there was no respite for this place as the attacker arrived, he did not even go inside for it was well guarded enough from the inside to stop his attacks - at least early on. And no doubt they would have off-site security to identify him. No, he had to strike this place differently, so as the fireball roared into life from the rooftop across the street and slammed into the front of the bank the attacker finally became clear to those who saw him, only two though since everyone else was focusing on the bank. Clicking his fingers again a monstrous cone of flame blossomed out the front of the bank and slammed into it, setting it ablaze immediately and burning upwards just as a pillar of fire slammed into it from above. As his third fire attack hit Eric Bashere felt the flames on his left arm go out and he sighed slightly, missing the magic but he moved immediately, for a pair of arrows slammed into the rooftop where he had been before. "Well well!" a tall lean man with a bow in one hand said as he walked casually towards the boy, who was now crouched and looking at them wide-eyed, "What have we here... a terrorist who thinks he can attack our city without consequences? What a fool, right Bud?" The other man with him didn't speak; he was a squat muscular fellow with no neck and, curiously, no mouth, but he nodded as he walked up, his enormous fists curling up to attack. "We don't take kindly to terrorists here," the lean man sneered again, raising his bow with another arrow as "Bud" advanced slowly, "In fact we hate them!" And as he moved to loose the arrow his eyes bulged, his body slackened and his mouth opened as five thin lines appeared across his profile. He noticed before him that Bud had stopped moving, in fact Bud would never move again - his legs and arms were gone, so was his head. As the thin man split into five evenly-sliced pieces, Eric held up his gloved hand, wiggling his fingers slightly as the five blades he had created vanished a moment later. "I'm not a terrorist," Eric said with a dark grin on his face, his eyes looking like they were made of fire from the enormous pillar of fire and smoke next to him, "I'm a monster." And with that he moved on, heading back to the scene of his first attack... |

The Dragon of Grimiore Heart

OOC: On my phone, have patience with grammatical & spelling errors. Relyk remained sitting, kicking his feet into the air as he sat bored. He could see the destruction as It continued. "Dammit Eric, now I ha-.." Relyk went silent as a man's voice could be heard. It sounded way to familiar, could it be? The dragon slayer began testing his sense of smell, picking up something familiar. "Look at that.." He muttered, only to find yet another sight. "Oh what the absolute fuck.." Relyk muttered, watching a figure dip from below the clouds. "Honestly, it looks like one big reunion. Wonder what those two are doing here.." Relyk sighed, jumping from the building. As he fell from the building, Relyk would spiral, falling parellel to the walls. He threw his hands and feet to the structure, allowing his lightning magic to only slow the impact. No, he would still be falling quite fast, but at a speed to manage, so he could land without injury. With a loud thud, Relyk's boots would smash into the concrete street. He turned to the large crowd of fleeing civilians and stopped. "A hat, I need a hat." Relyk whispered, eyes scanning every person until he found his target. He quietly walked into the mob, and would emerge with a nice black cowboy hat. The smirk on his face revealed his satisfaction with his 'purchase'. Meanwhile, a scared and frantic bald man would be seen cowering in the middle of a stampede. "First thing is first, meet up with an old pal." The dragon slayer began whistling, throwing his arms to the sky as he stretched. It wasn't hard to track down Ryo, seeing as he was shouting loudly. His scent was also very noticeable, but that was due to his past relations with the Fairy Tail wizard. Before he could continue tracking his friend, he would see a familiar face running towards the first explosion. "Oi, Eric!" Relyk shouted, pushing his hat down as he chased down who he considered his best friend. He would follow the demon child until Eric stopped. Though, thank god his sense of smell made up for his lack of speed. |

Yovel noticed that there was a flash of light occurring below. The light was sustained and as Vits quickly plummeted towards the ground, they caught a glimpse of what created the light. It was a pillar of fire that was burning a building down on the city grounds. Vits circled as he dived down to the situation and Yovel scanned the roof top for the source. He needed to find Eric to determine what was going on and why was he in this town causing such chaos. Vits was swooping across the air and now they were in prime range to be spotted by some people down below. Preparing for some attacks, Vits watched his surroundings carefully to avoid being slammed with magic or weapons as they search for their guild mate. Vits then quickly did a barrel roll to the side and Yovel held on tightly while they avoided a volley of arrows. As Vits went over their apparent attackers, Yovel scanned the ground that they just passed over and it was a number of knights who were directing civilians away from the dangerous areas. A few had pulled out their weapons and sent volleys at the pair, but this didn’t stop Yovel and Vits. Tapping Vits, Yovel told him to go around which would allow him to take them out before they become a problem later. Vits then did a steep turn as he curved around and turn towards the knights that were on the ground. Yovel then summoned Eldur and sent the glyphs towards the ground as they passed over the same area once more. The glyphs landed onto the target area which resulted in explosions of flame and he could hear people screaming and running hysterically. Yovel’s magic couldn’t kill the knights right off the back, but would have injured them to the point where they would have difficulty interfering with him later. Well just this patrol, they would be on high alert with everything happening in the city. That and with Yovel’s assault, that would make the Tartaros mages attune to his position and seek him out and take him down in a misunderstanding where they might believe Yovel to be the cause of the devastation. Either way the situation is grim as they needed to find Eric quickly. Vits gained some altitude once more as they scanned the area. There was a small dot on one of the roof tops and there was another with him. A blond idiot that stood out there weirdly. Why the hell was Relyk being so chummy with Eric? This was concerning. As they moved closer to the duo, Vits didn't land on the ground. Instead he flapped his wings to keep the two of them afloat in the air above the two mages on the roof. Vits kept an eye on the situation around them and Yovel just looked at Relyk and Eric. He was concerned with the situation at hand was was too uncertain to ask. Nudging Vits with his foot, Vits landed and lowered himself to allow Yovel to step down. Standing a few metres away from the mages, Yovel was wary and looked at Eric cautiously. What is going on here Eric? Edited by Yovel, Jan 20 2013, 04:21 AM.

Steel your mind. Run on instinct.

Well now what trouble had Shorai gotten herself into this time… Explosions were happening one after the other in Coreopsis and in the chaos and distress of the people two rather confused faces stood looking to the sky and watching the dancing embers and clouds of smoke that rose into the blue above. Shorai wasn’t scared despite the fact she had no idea what was going on and although you might think she should have been just for the fact that destruction was raining down around her that just wasn’t the case. Would she have been concerned if she had known what was happening and/or the severity of the situation? Perhaps; but she never was one to show such emotions just willy nilly. It was as Shorai and Mushu looked into the sky that their eyes caught sight of quite the strange sight; was that man falling from the building? No, he didn’t fall …. he jumped. While Mushu was wondering what kind of idiot was trying to commit suicide the time mage next to the tiny dragonette was rather captured by the peculiar nature of it all. Watching as if in a daze as the blonde haired man landed in the street roughly one hundred and fifty or so metres from her Shorai found herself following after him through the ocean of people that were running screaming and shoving for safety. Never did Shorai’s eyes leave the mysterious man despite the fact she was having to weave through and dodge all kinds of people and flying objects, she didn’t want to lose sight of the man that jumped from a building and landed with that flashy magic of his. As usual Mushu flew above Shorai making sure to stick close enough to keep her in his vision but this time the small dragonette found himself distracted by something as well; he wasn’t alone in the sky. In the distance was (to him) perhaps the largest flying creature he had ever seen up close bar the queen dragon that attacked that one time, he couldn’t say he didn’t feel the urge to hide so he wasn’t eaten but he would never abandon Shorai! So with bravery in every beat of his wings the small pet huffed out a small puff of smoke and steeled himself, giant bird or not he wasn’t running! Soon enough Shorai found herself pausing and standing behind a lamp post, her pursuit of the man that she had been following stopped since well… he had. The mage approached a much smaller figure in the distance with a relatively friendly tone and attitude while she could see another on the back of a rather majestic looking giant bird circling to come in to land. With Mushu now resting on her shoulder as always Shorai unknowingly stood as if she was trying to use the thing metal lamp post as some kind of cover to hide behind and watched the scene unfolding before her up the street.
