Name: Golden Fleece Class: B Description: Appears to be the fleece of a golden ram, comprising of the dorsal side of said creature. Includes the ram's skull, with both fur and horns, but no mandible nor teeth. Length from snout to tail is 5 feet ( cm), covered in golden-coloured curled fur matted with various hues of firey orange near the edges. (When vertical, length is longer via gravity on hind legs). The "neck" of the fleece is the only part that includes the ventral side, which instead of the usual curls, is full of straighter fur like a bird's. The "tail" end includes the tail fur tuft of the ram, the tip of which is gradually shaded towards a deep scarlet. The furred outline of the four legs hang at their anatomically correct locations, though the chitin of the hooves are not present. Instead, the fur where the hooves should start take on the appearance of charred fur cut shorter, frayed, slightly mangled, and garnering towards the a more prominent scarlet than the tail. Starting from the second joint of each leg (going distal), the fur is complete like the neck, where it can be worn like sleeves by the forearms. Near the scapula of the forelegs are two long slits, one on each side, thin enough to almost be entirely covered by the edging fur if they're curled over it, but wide enough as if the creature was winged (it was). Therefore, if the user has wings protruding from their back, they may choose to wear it through the openings if fits. The Golden Fleece, if used by humanoid figures, is meant to be worn like a pelt. The complete neck portion is like a pullover's turtle neck, as it was originally shaped. The head of the fleece is to cover the top of the head of the wearer, covering the forehead, and if pulled down further, the eyes where the wearer can see through the eyeholes. The head can also be pulled back like a hoodie. If so, the head's elongated shape will not collapse on itself. The horns curl once, with the tips pointing forward-upward, coloured from yellow at the base, to orange, to red at the tip. They are 2-3 inches (5.08-7.62cm) thick and wide respectively at the base, and would be 14 inches ( 35.56cm) long if straightened out. The forelegs can be left hanging at the shoulders, but as ealier mentioned, they can be worn like sleeves. The hindlegs not so much, due to position and a much bigger difference is leg shape/length. Effect/Function: The fleece is as effective as a normal fur sweater (where it covers) in regards to natural cold weather temperatures (like clothing would be). The item itself will not be destroyed by its own wearer's magic. Acts as B-rank armor (note only where it covers, so not areas like the chest). The horns, despite looking offensive, is actually meant for head protection. Carrier's Charge - 5 Type: Support Range: Self and Rider(s) within 2m Effect: Must be fully wearing the fleece to use. Envelopes the user in a transparent gold sheen in the shape of the winged ram. The glow extends to any 'extra' appendages of the user. A softer gold glow surrounds everyone within 2m being carried (whether directly touching the user, or touching someone touching the user, etc.), up to 450 lbs (204.12 kg) worth of weight, giving protection against up to either 1 r5 magic spell, 3 r3-4 magic spells, or 4 r1-2 magic spells max. Or, 2 r3-4 and 2 r1-2 combination. The damage is instead only mitigated 50% if attacked by 1 r6 magic spell. If either occurs, or if struck by a higher rank/class, the glow disappears (with no resistance against the latter), but the technique is still active for the whole of the duration. Duration: 3 posts Cooldown: 6 posts [I would like to keep this item B Class, so if it is currently too much, then I will edit accordingly. Only thing it needs is to lower the protection slightly: A Rank 5 tech can stop one equal-Rank tech before it fades away. Plus the damage mitigation from a Rank 6 tech should be about 50% as well, not 75%. Other than that it's good. |
