Character: Markus Lupin Submission: Regaining the Happiness that was Lost Markus and Ruby were staying at the local tavern in Magnolia. The room was close to tidy. Markus' clothes were splattered on the floor. Ruby was slightly annoyed as she began to pick up and fold the clothes. She was getting slightly annoyed by the fact that her partner (Basically her boss) wasn't helping and just brushing his teeth. The fact that he wasn't even acknowledging her was even more infuriating. After a few minutes, she lost her temper and grabbed her (toy) hammer, then she whacked his genitals. Markus was in the middle of gargling and he started choking when she hit him. He managed to spit out the water and made a scary glare at Ruby.
" What was that for?" Markus said with a tinge of annoyance. Ruby made a smirk and remarked " You're not even helping me with fixing the clothes! In fact, You're not even acknowledging my existence! Can I please get some recognition over here?" Markus face changed from a scary glare to a small smirk. " Does Ms. Clown Nose want attention?" The way he said that sentence made Ruby even more angry and she whacked him in the face with his toy hammer. "It's New Years! Can't you at least be a little nice to me?!" Ruby pleaded. Markus sighed and rubbed Ruby's head. She made a slight grumpy face, but then returned to her usual, upbeat self. " Now that I think of it... What are your New Year's Resolutions?" She asked. Noboro suddenly jumped out of Markus' body and asked, " What are New Year Resolutions?" Markus looked a bit astonished by the fact that Noboro didn't know what a resolution was. Ruby was the first one to ask, " Nobby, you don't know what a New Year Resolution is?" Noboro bared his ethreal fangs at Ruby, " Well if I knew what it was, would I be asking? Anyways I've lived in a freaking forest as the protector of the woods. I never came out until Markus came along. He never talked about this "resolution" anyway." Before Ruby could ask why Markus never talked about a resolution he said, " I had better things to do and you know that Ruby. I'm not the type for celebrating." Ruby looked a bit hurt by Markus' words. Then the moogle went back to folding the clothes.
Markus sighed and sat on his bed, the room wasn't too small. It had a bed, a bathroom. and a small living room next to the bed. He shook his head and after a few minutes of silence, he told Ruby " Alright, I'll make a resolution..." Ruby's eyes became filled with delight as she heard the 20 year olds words. " Ok... I'll go first! My resolution is to get a wooden mallet, so it's more useful for hitting people! Ooh ooh! I also want to get better at flying! Markus chuckled at Ruby's resolution. It was light-hearted but filled with determination. He started to think only for a few moments before he said, " I'm gonna find my sister. I'm also going to make sure no kids experience sadness, tragedy, or loss. That's my solution. Markus concluded his sentence. Letting the words sink in. Ruby looked at him with a seriousness in her eyes. Noboro suddenly appeared and said, " My resolution is to make sure Markus doesn't slack off so he can become stronger. You know, so he doesn't die. Because if he dies, I die. And that would just suck." Markus laughed at his counterparts resolution. Unexpectedly, he hugged Ruby and wished her a Happy New Year. Ruby was filled with shock. But she hugged him back and told him
" Happy New Year partner." New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Find his sister
- #2: Help children via community service (Help orphans find biological parents, kick kidnapper ass, scold a bully, etc.)
- #3: (Noboro's resolution) Make sure Markus doesn't die.

Character: Rose <3 Submission:
Visiting the Family Rose was a traveler these days. She was out and about, seeing new things, seeing new people. She also came home all the time since all her stuff was there. She didn't count those times of coming home...to her home... every day... as "visiting". These were simply necessary things to do since her clothes and hair changing equipment couldn't be brought with her. She would change that at some point. That point surely was not now. Aside from the daily stops, today was special. Today she was actually "visiting". It was time for the new year, and there is no where she would rather be than with her family on this holiday. Luckily for her, she had just came home from an adventure anyways, so she did't have to travel at all.
Rose got dressed in her yellow and blue outfit, meaning today, her hair was black. It was time to assist her parents in setting up for the large party for the event. This meant she would just tell the servants where to set things, and what food they would need. She loved being in charge because that meant she would have her favorite food! Shrimp Alfredo! Family time and her favorite meal? Nothing could be better. The dinning hall looked wonderful by the time everything was done. The only thing missing was inhabitants! The guests would arrive soon, and things would get rolling for the large party that's held every year.
The doorbell rang nonstop for the next hour. Guest after guest pouring in, ready to enjoy the party. Toasts were shared by everyone as the night went on. Rose had helped herself to insane amounts of Shrimp Alfredo, and asked one of the servants to save her some when the cleaned up. The night got late, and the countdown was to happen soon. Rose danced in the ballroom with everyone else, awaiting the end of the year in the next hour. As time ticked on, she thought of how she did miss her parents, even though she saw them daily. Things weren't the same since she was always out. She had always been close to them. Rose went to her parents and stood with them, counting down when the time came. They all smiled, happy to spend this time together. It was a great New Years for Rose.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Spread the name Rose, to every inch of Fiore!
- #2: Learn another weapon style so people won't judge a woman and her whip

Character: Aiden D. Vakarian Submission:
Ramblings of a Really Bored Person
Man, I can't believe I got guard duty on New Year's Eve. That really just sucks. Sometimes drawing the shortest stick is just a metaphor, but some douchebag had the bright idea for us to draw sticks to see who gets patrol and guard duty on New Year's Eve. I mean, other knights would have to be on duty today too but we'd have to send someone from our unit on duty too. Unfortunately, it was me who got stuck with the shortest stick. Now, what asshole had this idea again? Oh right... That was me. Honestly, I should've known better than to rely on a game of chance and luck to decide things. If anything, I probably should've gone for an arm-wrestling contest or something. Thumb war? Well, that'd totally be skewed in my favor! (Heh, but that's the point. Aiden, you mastermind you).
It sucks but I'll have to deal. Shit happens, right? Not like this is my first time on patrol duty. Just think of it this way - you're keeping the city safe while... everyone's out partying getting drunk. Well, shit. Why'd I have to think of it this way? I suddenly feel slightly depressed. Not sure if I'm being sarcastic but judging from the way I can literally feel my lips curling into a frown I'm probably at least a little bit serious. I didn't even notice that I had picked up a snowball and was glaring at a group of drunken party-goers. I felt a sigh escape my lips while I dropped the snowball and became glad I hadn't thrown it; there were a few heavy rocks in there. I better keep walking...
Well, I know what I don't want to be doing now. Patrol and guard duty. But you know what I'd rather not be doing? Yeah, I definitely don't want to be called into some bar and have to break up a brawl. That would suck. Probably the worst part about patrol duty in Chrysanthemum is breaking up a fight between two puke-soaked assholes. Okay, that actually sounded more disgusting than I originally thought it would sound in my head. Just part of the beauty of this city though.
Now, I know what I don't want to do so that really begs the question of what I actually do want to do. Hmm... Probably banging Ale- Oh. I feel as if I probably should stray clear of perverse thoughts right now, as if someone is listening in on my inner thoughts. Well, whatever. I'd love to just lay in bed right now and pass the hell out. I don't know what it is but when I was still in the academy I could stay up all freakin' night without a care. But, now that I'm 20 it feels like once the clock nears midnight I just want to get comfy and sleep. Then again, I am me - I do like being comfy AND sleeping. By the way, since I have the suspicions that someone, somewhere out there is listening in on my thoughts I have an important thing to note - pets are THE best household appliance out there. I mean, they keep you warm at night like no other. It's amazing. Sorry Alexis, but I think Waffles is the true love of my life. Just kidding. But man, this is a really bad time to be on duty. I mean, where da New Year's kisses at? You know what, sometimes I embarass myself.
You know, while I've been walking around here thinking about [mostly] useless things I probably should decide on my New Year's resolutions. Honestly, I've never been the type of guy to make a resolution or anything like that. Hmm... You know, I'm just gonna say the first is 1# Do not get stuck on duty next New Years you jackass. What can the second one be? Do your hot gi- Uh... No, no. Well, I mean yes but don't actually think that out loud, man! Alright, a serious one cause these other ones suck. Oh, okay, got it. #2 Make legit New Years resolutions next year. It's genius! God... I'm a dumbass.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Do not get stuck on duty next New Years you jackass.
- #2: Make legit New Years resolutions next year.

Character: Wes Falzo Submission:
Submission Title You know, I don't mind New Year's eve at all. It's really just another night, though. Why should I mind that we enter another 'year'? It's just the passing of one day into the next. Still, people seem to enjoy launching fireworks at this particualr date, so hey, that means I can just sit back and enjoy the show. Dragged a chair outside earlier, cooling box, couple of drinks, some snacks, and a drawing set and some paper just to be sure. Explosions do tend to inspire me, after all.
Part of me wonders what the others are doing. Larkin's probably over at the guild. Alouette will be with her boyfriend. Hikari... Meh, better not think of her. It's taken me long enough to get over it all. The trauma is mostly gone anyway. I have a new magic now, a gift for saving her life, and that was really all I needed. Life goes on, I guess. The arm's reminder enough of what happened in the past.
For some reason I've been losing my inspiration for my creations. Even at this moment, with a blank blueprint paper in front of me, I can't come up with anything. I know that the file cabinet next to me is filled to the brim with the blue papers, all with white lines, scribbled texts, mechanical systems that few outside of myself would be able to comprehend. But there hasn't been an addition to the collection in two weeks now, whereas I usually managed to churn out three a day.
Then again, I also haven't had any customers in a long time. I should fix that. Spread some pamphlets. Perhaps hire an actual shop somewhere rather than designing things in my study and making them in the little room that functions as storage room, downstairs. Well, I've been scribbling for long enough. Time to watch the fireworks, I suppose. Let's see what time it is... 11:45. Perfect. 15 minutes until the sky will be lit up and I've got something to watch for a while.
It's really nice to have a balcony on one of the top floors of the building. I can see the entire city stretched out in front of me from up there. It's a pretty spectacular sight on normal days already, but now it's even better. You always have those people who can't wait and already start shooting fireworks into the air before it's even close to midnight. Luckily, Magnolia was full of destructive people, pyromaniacs, and just generally the kind of people who get overenthusiastic with fireworks, so I've got a pretty damned good viewpoint here.
Having a big door is also nice. I've managed to fit the big, comfy chair from my living room through there, so not only can I see all the fireworks everyone's shooting, giving me the best show in the city, but I can also sit comfortable. Now this is the life, hehe.
You know, fireworks are pretty, but there's one thing I can never get over, and that's the price. Hundreds of thousands, sometimes even millions of jewels for a single piece of pretty explosives. People who spend that much are really silly... I, on the other hand, managed to save a lot of money by not buying it whatsoever. You save a lot of money if you can just see the best fireworks in town from your lofty perch.
It's a little bit lonely, though. Sitting up here and watching all of those fireworks with noone to share the view with. I could go to my guild, but chances are I'd have my hand blown off, or worse. It's a silly celebration anyway, just a pretty view. No real need to have others here. I just hope I can sleep tonight with explosives everywhere.
New Year's almost there... Let's see, I have a bottle of champagne somewhere here... Ah yes. Nothing special, like I said, I want to save money, but tradition is tradition, no matter how redundant it is to especially celebrate one night out of 356. Not gonna pop the cork, don't want to break a window or something, and spray the bottle all over the balcony in the process... Nope, I have a corkscrew right here. Lessee, one two three... And pop, there we go.
And a few moments later, I'm sitting more comfortable than ever. Champagne in my hand, a soft, comfy chair, and fireworks everywhere. Yeah, this is the life. Happy New Year, Magnolia. New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Get more customers
- #2: Hire a shop

Character: Comma Submission:
Submission Title Comma woke up in her bed, not really knowing it was new years resolution time until she heard someone outside comment on it out loud in a beer-fed bellow. Huh. She needed a resolution. She might as well conjure forth some in her mind. But ot what purpose? What kind of magical powers did a resolution have? Was it worth the wishful thinking? Was it profitable? if so, she needed to investigate before attempting to perform it. It might be a waste of time. But then again, the investigation itself might be a waste of time. Then she would need to invetigate the investigation, and so ad infinitum. So she was up to a gamble to solve this problem. Either bet on investigating it or not. However, she didn't have much information at hand about either option. She would need to investigate, and then investigate that investigation and so ad infinitum yet again. Comma was frustrated. She would have to do things without any excepted optimal profit. Then why do anything with a goal if a goal is a type of profit. She rolled again in her bed.
She wanted to get a New years Resolution. Dogmaticly, she made a mental tantrum and simplely granted herself New Years Resolution in an attempt to escape the loop.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Escape the loop that prevents her from performing New Years Resolutions.
- #2: Make a New years Resolution that isn't about #1 and #2

Character: Hiro Nakamura Submission:
Submission Title This is really stupid.
I don't know why I'm writing this, but these kids from my new apartment keep saying that writing down how you spent the last few days of a year and burning it at the local shrine would help me accomplish my goals. I would like to say that I don't believe in this stuff, but I've seen first hand that the gods do listen when you speak. At least, back in my time and country. Sigh. Anyways, here goes nothing.
Well, I've had quite the annoying Christmas/New Year's break. First off, there was this new night club that opened not too far from where I lived. I tried to get the Guild Master to shut it down, but she admitted that she liked it there. I wouldn't have cared if the music was, say, jazz or hip-hop or even classical or orchestral, but god damn it, these people only play this new age electronic thing that pisses me off so much. Needless to say, I took my sweet time and I burned the place down, without anyone ever knowing that I did it.
Second, I decided to do some actual personal training. While it's true that Master Fon trained me for a while, helped me get the hang of things and made me stronger, I still am bounds and leaps away from the power I originally possessed before time-traveling here. My magic isn't as strong, but it's strong enough for now. For the time being, I need to start working out on my body, increase my speed which is my greatest strength. I also need to power up, build up my stamina and start working on following the speeds of others. Being with Master Fon had helped me on that regard, but I'm still ways away from being able to fully follow a strong opponent's agility.
Third, I tracked down one of Ghirahim's little croonies. He wasn't hard to beat, but his magical powers were really not that easy to deal with. Fire and Water don't really love each other. What really annoyed me with him was that he would whip up his guitar, and start playing loud rock music, which summoned water creatures from his already flowing water. I enjoyed every minute of beating those clowns, then beating him, then smashing his guitar. Oh yea, I smashed his guitar ON his head, so this was a win-win situation.
Last but not least, I went back to Belladonna to see my old guild. They don't know I've joined another guild, even less Grimoire Heart. It's not like I care if they know, but I did have some friends there. Namely Sora Ignis Ventus, the Fire Dragon Slayer. I heard he took a leave of absence to do some soul-searching. Hearing his brother joined some organization that was going to destroy the guild system didn't really help him out, now did it? Personally, I couldn't careless about this org, but Sora was a pretty cool fellow, a guy who wasn't noisy and was strong. In a sense... I admired him. I really hope I get to meet him again and fight him. In any case, Belladonna was as peaceful as ever. The guild members were having a fun time, without being as rowdy as those annoying Fairy Tail punks. Sigh. I might regret leaving it some day, but my country comes first.
Happy New Year.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Beat Ghirahim Up.
- #2: Find the others like me.
- #3: Return to my time and beat the Emperor.
- #4: Live in peace and quiet for the rest of my days.

Character: Czash Xevire Submission:
Light My Way Home For the first News Years being away from Home, this wasn't bad at all. Magnolia was such a sight for the past few days, but I think my stay here has been overdue, as I sat in the inn's lodging room. The moon was bright and clear, embracing the Earth with its shining white and silver. Wow... New Years already.
Standing up to take one last nightly stroll before the clock ticked, I made my way out and toward the streets of this grand town. Bustling as always, but I detoured to the park. Still crowded with people of friends and families, but it was much calmer. For some others, this would be a day to remember between their love. I smiled at the thought so tinged with sadness. It had now been nearly two years since Adeila passed... But it was the pass indeed. So much has happened on my travels. Roped into a mercenary's job of garden control, and a strange melodious chaos, and even visiting the libraries of Crocus! That Hargeon port was pretty cool too, though quite frankly its lack of magic surprised even me.
Magic. Growing up, Guilds were scorned and belittled whenever mentioned, and I couldn't help but to not disagree. But now? I don't know anymore. Sure it was hectic being in Magnolia and seeing actual glimpses of Fairy Tail's destructive reputation, but the people weren't outright dangerous. At least not to common folk. I wonder about the other Guilds too. Maybe they're not what’s been slandered of them. I know about the root of my home's disdain, but it was so long ago. Oh well, I'll just have to see for myself! It's one of the perks of being on the road, killing two birds with one stone, and I kind of like it. It's... different.
If only I could say the same for my magic though. It still feels bottled, or maybe restrained and quelled. I can feel it. Well, obviously Czash, of course you could feel it! It's yours, duh. It had always been quiet in terms of outward appearance, but ever since the day with the lightning and the passing, I don't know anymore. I can see things now. More things, I mean. Or at least, I can tell when they're there. It's like when there's so much heat in the air that your vision starts to waver, yeah. Except sometimes it's not hot. Whatever it is, I'll hopefully figure it out. This year. At least!
Finally seeing a freed spot on the grass, I promptly laid back with my bag as the pillow. Actually, hmm. Reaching over, I rummaged around until I found my two tuning forks. Yeah, I had an idea. Countdown was going to start soon. Two minutes. Two minutes to make a beat. Or something, haha. I wasn't that great with anything but pitches and rhythm. Maybe it'd be good enough for tonight, just tonight. I started to hum a low tune, and just spiraled from there. Soon, I'd ring those tuning forks, on each other, on my pants, on a nearby branch... Anything I could reach as I gazed into the sky. People nearby who heard me, some started to clap and others began to bob to the beat. Countdown from 20, and everyone was enjoying the mirth in their own way. I smiled as I ringed every second.
3. 2. 1.
Bam. Fireworks into the sky, blasting of at the speed of light! ...Was that how it went? Heh. Adeila, I really do wish you could see this. Maybe you can and I just don't know, but do know this. I'm trying, really hard, and I think it's working. Don't worry about me okay? I've got this. I haven't broken a promise yet.
The flares in the sky sizzled out, some of which Czash traced to the direction of his home: Ranunculus. After tonight, he'd be planning his course to the other towns and cities. After tonight, he'd be working on a way to effectively use his magic. After tonight… After tonight. Gently, Czash placed his tuning forks on his chest. Slowly, he reached up to his head, and removed his horned headband. Looking at it in its entirety, its scratches, its craftsmanship, its warm colours with the fireworks exploding in the background, he made up his mind. Things can wait. He really was overdue. Even though it’s just a visit… Adeila, I’ll see you later. I’m coming home.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: See for himself how Guilds really are, without the prejudice of his hometown
- #2: Find or Develop a style for his magic to actually be able to use
- #3: Visit Adeila's grave back in Ranunculus and be glad of his life
im so sorry it ended up being 750 is including the prompt title whoops

Character: Alouette Falzo Submission:
Fixes, Fireworks, and Feelings Seconds seemed to tick on so slowly as I sit here in my workshop. It's going on ten o'clock now. It has gotten so dark since I last looked outside. I have a stack of orders ahead of me, and I haven't even gotten through half of them. It's New Year's Eve. Most people are out celebrating with friends and family, enjoying parties, gatherings, and family get-togethers. As for me, I chose to decline all party invitations. To me, my work has always been my priority. I haven't heard from Snow all day. He probably had his own things to do. Perhaps he had gotten dragged off by his own friends. As for me, my only friends I seem to have these days are made of metal and wires. It's sad, really. Perhaps I should get out more.
Ten-thirty PM, and I have finished another order. As I slump back in my chair, I find my lap invaded by my finest invention. I smile down at the little bot, giving it a gentle pet here and there. He always looks up at me with those glowing LED eyes of his, as if he's just as concerned over my complex lifestyle. I guess that's my fault for giving him the ability to adapt and form cognitive thoughts of his own. I look back at the bot, giving it a light little kiss on his metallic cranium before placing him upon the work desk. I then resume my work. Just a few more projects to do. Just a few more. I keep telling myself the same thing, over and over, and yet it seems like my work is never done. But the funny thing is... I enjoy it that way. Does that make me strange?
Eleven-fifteen PM. The next project is done. I sigh to myself as I bring it back to the store room. I tag the item with the name of the person to whom it belongs. By now, my hands are cramping. It's been a long day already. I can hear the soft popping and crackling of fireworks going on outside my shop. I begin to imagine myself and Snow out there, enjoying ourselves with the others in the city. I slump against the store room wall, sighing to myself. I look down at my hands, my fingertips now stained black from gear grease and tarnished metal. I smell of machine oil. I grimace and go to the restroom, standing over the sink while I gaze upon myself in the medicine cabinet mirror. I sigh and wash my hands, cleaning the excess grease from my hands before washing the sweat and dust from my face and neck. Hanging on the door is my back up outfit that I had, just in case Snow would have joined me this evening. Silly me.
Eleven forty-five PM, and there is a knock on the front door of my workshop. I couldn't hear it from the bathroom, but the rather loud barks and shrill shrieks coming from my little bot had alerted me enough to come check out what all the commotion was about. I make my way back towards the front of my shop to find a dark silhouette standing in front of my door. Only when a firework illuminated the sky did I realize who it was. I felt a hint of excitement rising within me. It was Snow! He actually showed up! I couldn't get the door open fast enough! The moment I unlocked the door, I yanked it open, leaping into his arms. I threw my arms around his neck, placing a kiss upon his lips. He staggered back, trying to hold me without dropping what he had in his hands. Upon realizing just how full his hands were, I released him and lead him into my shop. He brought me dinner, as if he knew I hadn't eaten. We both share in a wonderful dinner before heading out into the city. I had changed into that outfit that I had hanging from the bathroom door now. Snow and I find ourselves at our Guild. We hurry to the highest place we could reach, and then climb onto the roof where we could watch the fireworks alone. Ten seconds left. We start counting down. Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven. Six. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. As the new year chimes in, we share our first kiss of the new year. The first of many to come. Happy New Year, Fiore. New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Balance Work and personal health
- #2: Finish leftover inventions.
- #3: Make some friends.

New Years Eve Party in Corepolis The night of December 31'st was certainly an active one. I had never truly reveled in the celebrations of this season. The Chinese new year was the only thing similar to this festival. It had been 4 months since my arrival in Fiore, and my search for the water dragon has been slow but progressive. As one year came to a close, it was a moment of monumental significance to the people of Fiore, and a good excuse to party and celebrate. The streets of the town were alive with celebration. People drinking, having a good time, reveling in the successes of the last year and the hopes for the new one. The customs of this country sure are amusing. One thing we had in common, we all had goals in the new year. One of which was to find the water dragon I sought.
People had begun to gather at the center of the town, centered around the massive building of the clock tower that overlooked the lake an canals of the city. At the very top of the building was a giant ball of lights upon the pole of the building. It was very odd as to why it was up there and for what purpose. The people were talking about 'when the ball drops' as if it meant something. The clock was alit as well, counting down the minutes to midnight. Around the clock tower was life music, food being sold, a lot of people dancing and having a good time.
I should of seen it coming when I came into the town square. The stares I got. Envy from men, and adoration from the women. In less than five minutes, a horde of women were trying to get my attention. They didn't even bother to notice the Tartaros tattoo on the back of my shoulder. Most would fear the logo. Ether they didn't care or they found the fact I was in such a dangerous guild to be... exciting.
Finding a nice comfortable cafe to sit in, I found myself surrounded by four different ladies. A brunette named Alexis. A blue haired petite woman with glasses named Rachel. A raven haired woman named Eris with luscious breasts and a mouth-watering figure. A red-head name Sophia, who I considered what people called a 'sexy librarian'. These ladies sure knew how to make a man feel welcomed. Sure I got some dirty looks from some of the jealous men, but their problem, not mine. In the end I would command respect, another goal for the new year to come. I will be strong and have the respect that comes with it.
Between the drinks and the caresses the ladies were giving me, they began talking about who I was going to kiss at midnight. That was a new custom I was curious about. Ringing in the new year with a kiss. Trouble was, there was only one moment, and 4 ladies keeping me company. How was I going to chose?
I gave it some thought. The petite with the glasses was sure tempting, but the one with the black hair, Eris, was the most beautiful out of the four. However I was torn, hating to disappoint any lady, when I had the patience to deal with them all. A regular night would end with them following me for a long night at the nearest inn, but I won't go into detail. Not my intent there.
As the clock ticked down to midnight, I told them as kindly as I could, I would pick upon midnight. I told them as much as I would chose all of them, only one could get the kiss at that very moment. They all looked disappointed, knowing the chance that three of them wouldn't get it, but one would. Oh, what I wouldn't give to find a woman who truly excited me. To find one who was strong willed, cunning, and dangerous.
They were nice girls, no doubt there. The numbers were counting down as I made my choice. I remained cool, counting down myself in my head. 30...29... 28. I closed in on my choice, the mouthwatering Eris as she looked up to me, losing myself in her eyes. 13... 12... 11. Her fire and drive lessened a bit as she felt intimidated as I closed in. 4... 3... 2...1. I sealed my lips to hers, a passionate, soul searing kiss that made her grab at my hair in desire and surprise.
Happy New Year, indeed.

Character: Qatar Cris "Book of Toth"
Submisson:
Whispers in the Night
It had been a fun night, in a strange way, for Qatar. There hadn't been misery nor hurt dealt at anyone's expense to brighten Qatar's evening. She was having fun in the most orthodox way imaginable, very strange for someone like her to experience indeed. Yet she had no qualms about it, not tonight. She embraced it even, the sensation of feeling like a normal person, a human being. She went as far as to go out of her comfortzone, towards the citylights and christmas market stalls.
There she talked, laughed, danced and even made out with someone. Eventually resulting in cute escapades on ice and whilst drinking gluwein. As she passed her time in blissful normality, she ended up feeling too woozy and out of her system to continue. She asked the person she spent most of the night with to bring her home, and as such they rode together on a pimping golden bicycle through the paved streets, smothered in a carpet of cloudy white snow and illuminated by a bright starry nightsky.
Once they arrived at the cracked doorsteps of a abandoned-looking building, in which Qatar had taken residence for the time being. She couldn't help but feel woozy again, as she looked into the person's eyes. Not becaue she was drunk, which she was, but because of the emotions and sensations the night had invoked in her. She could feel herself resisting her body's pressure to well up, the moistening and glazing of her eyes. In the end she cracked so she simply turned away and left the person and the night behind, leaving only a teardrop shimmering and seemingly frozen into place as she turned, tracing the route her face took in a magical and eversaddening manner.
Soon after she was curled up on her sheetless and coverless bed, hugging her only cushion tightly with her knees positioned as close to her chest as the cushion allowed it. Positioned like that she stared outside the cracked window, above the rooftops of the other houses, she could only see one star. A lonely star in the depths of the black nightsky. Again she started to well up, but this time she let it be. She sobbed and weeped until her heart and soul's sorrow had been drained.
AS she held her wet cushion into her embrace, she peered over its edge, enthralled by that lonely star. Until slowy, vaguely and misty...She saw more stars. One after another they appeared before her. Some close, some afar, some bright and some dull..But they were there, alongside of her!
A bittersweet smile appeared on her thin, slender lips and as she closed her eyes and burried her face into the pillow, she made her new year's resolutions. The first ones she had ever made in her life, as far as she could remember...The first promises she has ever made sincerely, the first ones she intends to keep even if it costs her her life.
'Make a friend, no, make multiple true friends.' 'Break out of this...This shell.' 'Find a way.'
Especially the last resolution sealed the deal, for she realized it could apply to many things. But deep within her, she knew which of those things were the ones she wanted to find a way for. And regardless whether or not she had added them to her resolutions or not, she would find a way. Find a way to make the things that matter a reality.
Then the slumber came. A peaceful sleep that she hadn't been able to experience in oh so long. If one would enter the broken down room she was in and found her sleeping like that, with that kind of expression on her face, that position and that environment...It would be like a mixed concotion of all fairy tales in existence.
Broken down into one simple scene: A damsel in distress.
New Years Resolutions:
- #1: Make multiple, true, friends.
- #2: Find a way.
