Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Yovel and co started to move from their initial position. There wasn't much as they travelled across the smokey grounds. Yovel had no indication that they were going somewhere they shouldn't since the path did not split. They were not in the trial yet, but still they had troubles already in the form of a deranged wench attacking them. Yovel continued forth until he noticed a shadow off into the distance. Moving cautiously, but still proceeding forwards, Yovel noticed that it a building. It seemed daunting by the sheer size of the building, but noticed his glyph etched on the gates. It looked like a small fort with multiple towers and buildings inside which he hoped didn't involve a lot of trials to get through. It was frustrating to say the least with the prospective that they will have to do multiple things to satisfy the guardian.

Moving up to the door, Yovel cast Bogagong which caused the gates to respond in kind. It started to shift and open sideways revealing the insides. Moving, they were greeted by a cloaked person who was wearing a mask. The mask was plain white with no features other than three slits, two for the eyes, one for the mouth. Yovel approached the person who then said "Welcome Druid Child to the trial by Bogagong. For your first trial, you will need to move towards the next room." The servant stepped back and turned to one side and showed the doorway. It opened with a loud creaking noise. Yovel was completely wary of the situation trying understand what they were going to face in this trial. For their current situation, they were in a large castle hallway with multiple statues on pedestals flanking the carpet that lead to the door. The statues looked like a boiler with a strange sphere attached to the top of it. As Yovel stepped forwards, the statues changed from stone to metal. The spheres revealed themselves to be eyes and a beam fired from them. Yovel jumped behind the columns at the entrance as the beams were concentrated on Yovel, Vits and Clear. Looking around the servant had vanished and Yovel tried to figure out whether to attack or not.

OOC:
Statues are immortal.
Beams can only damage living targets.
Beams deal sustained moderate damage to a target
The carpet to the next room is 4m wide and 60m long
There are statues at 4m intervals

Clear applied the healing salves Yovel gave him and his wounds felt somewhat better. Considering this wasn't reality, the wounds did sting like hell. Whoever made this dimension or whatever did a pretty good job at it. The group kept going until they finally came across a rather peculiar building. Clear didn't think it was actually possible for a building to be there, but that was probably the location of the next temple. The group entered the building and the usual thing happened. They were greeted by some weird servant, they were told about the next trial, blah blah blah. Clear got off Vits when they got to the next room, those statues didn't look really friendly. Yep, shooting beams at them was definitely not friendly. Clear took a closer look at the hallway there were one, two, three... more than ten statues on each side of it. Now, there were multiple ways one could go about this. There was the self-destructive way, running through the room while taking all of the hits, or the smart way which Clear hadn't thought of yet. Yovel was probably going to be fine because of his shield. Oh, is this why this temple represents the shield? Smooth.

After thinking about it for a while, Clear realized that he didn't really have a good way to go about this. The only thing he could do was use every spell in his arsenal and hope things were going to be all right. Taking out the scythe from his back, he activated its power. With his physical abilities enhanced, Clear started running through the hallway. As soon as he stepped in front of the first statue, a beam shot out from it and aimed at him. With a swift swing of his scythe, Clear split the beam in two and he rolled on the ground to avoid the second one coming at him. He quickly got up and kept running, doing the same thing for the second pair of statues. But when he got to the third one, he was attacked by more than two statues. All of the statues he had pass by so far all attacked at once. Six beams were headed for Clear at the same time, so he acted as fast as he could. Eight tentacles formed on his right wrist, splitting up into groups of four. Each group took one one beam, shattering from the impact, Clear did a 360 swing of his scythe to destroy another two and he lightly ducked to make the last two hit each other. Everything went better than expected.

Clear had the right idea. He knew that this was to test Bogagong, but also it was designed to see how Yovel would adapt. Even if his shields could take a number of those attacks, it would still fall. Pulling out his other glyphs, Yovel decided to see how his accuracy was. Moving quickly towards the other side, Yovel fired Vindur. The glyphs were by his side and he made them flank the edge of the carpet. As the eyes locked onto him, the beams soon followed. Though with the glyphs, Vindur created a screen on tornadoes, which caused the beams to collide. Apparently the glyphs were stronger than the beam themselves and thus the were blocked. Though the problem was that Yovel could only make seven tornadoes and their dimensions were big enough to encircle him. That lead to gaps which allowed the statues to blast through as Yovel made his way through.

That as well as the glyphs vanished about a third of the way. They only lasted a set distance and even then the ones in front eventually succumbed to the beams themselves. Yovel in that moment threw bogagong backwards and encased Vits in a barrier. Vits had no real defensive measures against attacks such as these as he would normally utilise his mobility to avoid enemy attacks. Vits then trundled across the ground and attempted to get to the other side before the shields faltered or the statues turned to him. Yovel resumed his attention to his own predicament. The eyes that were in range all swiftly moved their vision towards Yovel and thus the beams travelled across the ground towards him. It was difficult, but Yovel focused his magic into Kuldakast. The glyphs formed a circle around Yovel as they rised into a spire of ice. Yovel made it so that the icicles wouldn't impale him, but even then that was difficult as the ice grew quickly. Safe from the beams for the moment, Yovel could see a number of beams focused on his position. The ice reflected the images and accidently reflected the beams themselves. Since Yovel had no idea that this would happen, the beams were sent in all sorts of direction. Yovel shouted sorry as he heard Vits squawk in surprise. Yovel quicky stopped the spell and summoned his other glyphs to intercept the beams targeting on him as he continued his way towards the next door.

OOC: I won't be able to post till Sunday/Monday

Clear had but a moment to rest from managing to evade the series of attacks, only to notice another series of attacks headed his way. Yovel had somehow managed to make the statues shoot beams in all directions, which was not cool at all. Clear gave off a heavy sigh as he prepared himself to deal with the incoming onslaught. Considering the random pattern they were firing in, staying still was not the best option. One of them was bound to hit him eventually. Thus, Clear did the only thing that came to mind, he ran in a straight line. Stray beams came his way at times, but he could intercept him with his scythe. That only lasted for a short while, enough for Clear to pass two pairs of statues and make it through one third of the room. At that point, the ice Yovel created disappeared, letting the statues keep firing at their targets. That was kind of bad news for Clear, but he knew that the attacks would return to being focused on him at some point. Raising his arm, Clear shot a stream of water at one side, keeping the beams at bay for a short time. Dodging the rest was fairly easy, seeing as they were coming from only one direction.

Clear managed to pass another couple of statue pairs, marking that a total of seven out of fifteen passed, making his best to maneuver around the incoming attacks, until he finally reached a point where there was no escape from. With a movement of his arms, a circle of needles appeared above Clear, with an evident line across its middle. Then, the needles rained down upon the area surrounding Clear, only missing the place where he was standing and in front of him. That dealt with all of the incoming beams, giving Clear some time to move forward again while no attack was hindering his path. When the spell ended, the beams kept coming at Clear, but he had the time to avoid some and parry others with his scythe. At the end of the day -not really a day- Clear had moved a little further than half of the room.

Vits bounced along the hallway like a franetical chicken. He sqauwked and vocalised his displeasure at the current situation quite loudly and verbally. Yovel snapped at Vits for using foul language at one point. Either way, the two mages were the main focus of the beams and only a few times did they actually pay attention to Vits at all. They turned to him only at the end of the hall way as he made to the end first. Yovel was slowed down by his attempt to block at the beams with Kuldakast and Clear was using his scythe to parry the beams away.

Eventually as Yovel used his magic to parry the beams and completely block them off, he made it to the next room. Joining Vits and waiting for Clear to arrive, it seemed as if the room was empty, but perceptions were warped in this place. Yovel started to move across the room when he heard laughter. Appearing from the centre of the room was a young woman who was big bossomed. The type that would make Oberon all horned up. She was barely wearing anything, just enough to be considered legal as she swayed towards the group. She giggle and said "Welcome to this room. Now we shall begin" She vanished as the room was filled with smoke. The smoke billowed throughout the room and consumed everything.

Yovel was walking through the smoke as he waved his hands trying to get the smoke out of his way. He shouted to the others but had no reply. As he continued to walk, he then noticed that the smoke thinned out. As it thinned out, he found himself walking through an open expanse. In the horizon was a village, but Yovel was not sure where everyone had disappeared off to. Heading towards the village in hopes that they others would go there as well, Yovel wondered what this part of the trial was all about. As he entered the As he made his way to the village, he was greeted by somebody. Yovel became shocked and confused as he say the person walking up to him. He just said Mom? as he stared at the woman who looked like his mother, but was wearing Fiorian clothing carrying a basket full of bread approach him. She had a smile on his face and Yovel was completely lost in what was happening.

Yovel and Vits made it to the next room before Clear could, which made the water mage speed up the process. He decided it was all or nothing, screw all the injuries he might sustain -they weren't real anyway- so he held his scythe in front of him and span. He started spinning towards the exit, beams getting deflected by the scythe, others hitting him. In the end, he made it to the next room, feeling extremely dizzy and injured. He wobbled around the entrance for a while, not paying any attention to the woman that just appeared, or the smoke that filled the room. By the time Clear regained his senses, he was on a completely different place. There was a vast plain expanding as far as the eye could see, with a single village in the distance. Clear was confused for a moment, had he passed out and was now seeing things? He did spin around for a pretty long time. He pinched his cheek with his fingers, a sensation of pain running across it. Yep, he was definitely awake. Which meant that this was some other kind of trial and he needed to move to the village. And so he did.

The village was really detailed, but there was something off about it. Clear couldn't exactly pinpoint the source, but there was something about that village that shouldn't be. Well, it was an imaginary village, after all, since they weren't in the real world in the first place. After looking around for a bit, Clear spotted Yovel a bit away from him. He casually walked up to him to find him staring at a woman. There was nothing really astonishing about her, she looked like your typical woman found in every village of Fiore. She was even carrying around a basket of bread. "What are you doing just standing around here? Come one, let's get moving. There's something we need to be doing in this place, and staring at this woman is certainly not it." Clear told Yovel while slightly pulling on his shoulder.

Yovel snapped back to his own reality as he was interrupted by Clear. Clear had made him realise that he was in the middle of the trials, not in this fictional place. He turned around when his arm was grabbed by the apparation that was his mother. She started to distort and warp as Yovel quickly pulled out his blade and severed the arm. The form screamed as instead of blood, black ink sprayed out. Yovel was alarmed, but Vits finally found them and joined them in the bizarre situation. All around them, the fake people turned their attention to the trio and all in one voice they said "Why don't you stay? Don't you want to live in Fiore? It's easier to just leave the forest and never return."

Yovel started to falter as he realised that this is what he wanted. To leave the forest and didn't have to worry about his duties. He looked at the ground and then looked up. Turning around he grabbed Vits and Clear and shouted I've been in a war before. I saw the death. Druids died. Tribesmen died. I stay in Fiore in order to seek power and a solution to our problem. As he attempted to drag the pair away, the voice continued. "Your time is nearly up. One more temple and you must return. You cannot falter in your trials. Oh poor druid child. So lost and confused. Why bother. It's much easier to stay where you are"

Yovel stopped and he shook for a moment. His body shivered as he was trying to control his emotions. Though it was too much, turning around he shouted I will not stay where I am. I will continue forwards for the people I have met. I will not stay stagnant. The guild I am is the key. I will continue with everything I have to continue forth. The voice the laughed and shirlled "Then so be it. Try and leave" All the fake people turned into apparations as they swirled around preparing to attack the group. Yovel started to run towards the edge of the village, but the fields at the border vanished and he ended up running to the other side. It seemed like everything is connected now and the exit was hidden somewhere in the village. That and the apparations that were now attacking them.

This is what this trial was all about? A test of Yovel's resolve? Clear was starting to get really ticked off with the druids and the way they did things. How little faith did they have in their own children? First, they make them travel the world and suffer all kinds of things on their quest for power, then make them under go intense trials and kill off the weak ones. Finally, they have to ask the strong ones if they are up for the task? This was sounding ridiculous. "I was in that war as well. You send off your children to acquire power in order for those things never to happen again, that much I understand. But these trials are insane." Clear shouted back at them, readying his weapon as the area distorted. It looked like their only choice was to fight through the people, find the exit wherever it was. "Try? Just how much are you going to underestimate us? Do not take the dark mages of Fiore lightly!" Clear shouted at the group of people as he ran directly at them. With a swing of his scythe, the deformed people jumped back, trying to avoid his attack. At least this meant they actually had a chance at fighting them.

"I don't know exactly where, but there should be a way for us to get out of this place. Get on Vits, scout the area from above. I'll keep them away from you as best as I can." Clear told Yovel and did a spin swing in the air to cut off one of the ghosts that tried moving to Yovel. If he could at least hold them off by himself, Yovel would be able to easily find the way out of there. He was the one that was supposed to be taking the trials in the first place, the riddles were for him to solve. The ghosts swarmed around Clear, surrounding him from literally every side and then charging at him. With a wave of his arm, water surrounded the water mage, taking on the form of a sphere and quickly expanding outwards. It took many of the ghosts along with it, but their numbers didn't seem to end. This was really similar to the ice temple, were they supposed to survive an endless wave of opponents while searching?

Yovel was glad that he had some morale support and Vits instantly took to the air to look for an exit as he knew Yovel didn't want to leave Clear now. As Clear was dealing with the apparations by using his water dome, Yovel just had to retreat to avoid getting hit by the spell. As he did so, a few apparations made their way towards him. Since like his fake mother, Yovel pulled out his blade and lashed at them to cause them to spray black ink everywhere. They screamed, and voiced out "you dare hurt your own mother? How about your own father? Or even your friends?" The apparations changed their facial appearances as they cycled through who Yovel grew up with.

It was difficult to fight back as they all had the same voices as who they looked like and this was playing havoc on Yovel's mind. Taking a few steps back, Yovel found himself against the wall of a building. He turned to the apparations as they cycled and looked like Vits. Yovel started to laugh at the weird faces and it broke him out of his uncertainty. Yovel blasted the apparations with Eldur causing flames to burn and turn them into cinder for playing foul games with his mind. Yovel then turned his attention to the air as Vits continued searching for the exit.

As Vits flew in the air, he noticed something shiny as birds do and even more so since he grew up with crows and picked up some really bad habits and nasty words. Flying over to the shiny shiny stuff, Vits noticed that there was a white swirling portal in the middle of a courtyard with the woman that they met in the room initially. She saw Vits and she giggled and haughtily laughed. She had her hand by her face and she jumped causing the bells on her body to jingle. Vits then went off to grab the pair once more as the woman transformed into Yovel's master. Druid Frey, master of potions. She walked towards the entrance where the group would appear. She went into her medicine bag and pulled out a number of vials, each containing a glyph inside with some accelerant liquid to vastly increase the explosion of when she used each potion. Druid Frey was a Druid that barely passed if it weren't for her abilities for potion making in her younger days. Now she combines magic and potions together to cause wide spread devestation and rediculous regeneration.

Clear was a little relieved that Yovel stayed behind to fight with him. Despite acting all tough, Clear was not really certain he could defeat every opponent alone. As he cut off one attempting to get closer to him, black ink-like liquid spraying from the wound, he noticed Yovel get surrounded by the ghosts. Normally, Clear wouldn't be worried about Yovel being in a tough spot, he knew that the druid was more than capable of taking care of himself. The hard part about it though, was the fact that the ghosts took on the faces of those dear to Yovel. Clear didn't know them, but their voices made it pretty obvious that they were using that strategy. However, despite being rather young, at least a few years younger than Clear, Yovel didn't fall for that lame trick. With a slight sigh of relief, Clear turned back to his own opponents, an upward slash of his scythe cutting one in two. He noticed Vits was returning to them, which might mean that he had found a way for them to leave that place.

Upon noticing Vits' return, the ghosts focused their gazed on him and rose up to meet him in the air. "Oh, no you don't!" Clear shouted at them. He ran to a nearby building, using the magic on his boots to easily ran up to its top. He jumped from there, cutting as many ghosts as he could find on his path, and shooting a jet of water at the ones that were getting closer to Vits. The ghosts dispersed, black ink raining down on the ground below them, and Clear landed on a nearby rooftop. Their attention was briefly focused on the water mage, and the latter took that opportunity to defeat as many of them as he could. He jumped off of the building once more, but he aimed to descend this time. With himself as the center, he span around, holding his scythe outwards, slashing apart many enemies on his way down. When his feet touched the ground, he stumbled around for a bit, catching his head to stop the dizziness. He really had to stop doing that.
