Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

He blinked once. He blinked a second time. He blinked for the nth time as he looked between Torie and the stranger that suddenly appeared. He also spared a moment to look at the poor fellow who had been unceremoniously tossed from wherever and had crashed across the street. Thank heavens that the bakery was untouched else there might have been some problem. Then he noticed the friendly exchange, at least from the white haired youth who called Torie as Torm, much to Tyf's confusion but perhaps it was a pet name or the sort. Not too far from Torie to begin with. But the woman was obviously not in the same spirit as she responded with almost near to deadpan voice before pulling him by the arm and addressing him as Baldy with a teasing smile and dragging him into the bakery. Well, he didn't see it necessary to complain about Baldy so he didn't.

Inside the bakery though, the attention was quickly changed as they seemed to have been transported to a bakery hinterland. There were tons of confectionary sugars on the works, especially on display on the holiday special goods, and again there was that fat man with a beard mold of a bread with glazed golden top sprinkled with confectionary sugar. To the other side of the racks were cookies and other pastries all having the seasonal touch for decoration, from swirls of red, to green tree-like shapes, gingerbreads, the fat man, a reindeer, and a snowman molds. It was really not what Tyf had been expecting of a bakery, remembering how bakeries in the westerways were hard bricked ovens with flat bread and nothing so decorative both in design or taste. A pita bread was enough as the spice sauces and humous spreads were what really gave it its flavor.

"Wow. So this is a bakery." he uttered, amazed himself before glancing to the side and finding Torie sort of drooling. He smiled and raised a hand to her cheeks, "Why don't you look for what you want? I'd be glad to pay for it in your behalf." He then took a moment to glance around, "And I never knew there could be so many kinds of bread. I wonder which would be to my taste. Lady Torie… uh… should I call you Torm or Torie?" And he also paid a moment's glance to the glass door to look at the white haired fellow outside, "Is your friend coming along as well?"

Sion raised an eyebrow as Tormoru gave him a rather disappointing reaction. Had he interrupted something with the other guy? A date, perhaps? The thought crossed his mind just like any other would, with mild curiosity, though it left him with a certain feeling in his stomach, like it was something that just didn't sit right with him, though it wasn't a feeling he could remember having felt before, so he could put no real name on it. This feeling was, of course, jealousy. Sion was a bit envious of Tyf, even though the passing thought was totally not what was going on.

The thought did get some solidification when Tormoru grabbed the new guy by the arm, called him by a nickname, and ran off with him. Sion sighed, telling himself he was going to follow them in a bit. He took a long drag from his cigarette and breathed the smoke out slowly, pondering over what to do as he looked at Tormoru and Tyf's backs as they were inside of the bakery, then shrugged as if it made no difference to him, and walked over to the guy who was inside.

He lifted the man over his shoulder, 'cause work always came first. His ears picked up the new guy asking about himself. Ignoring Tormoru's annoyance with him, his answer followed quickly. "I'll be here in a bit, don't worry. Gotta handle some stuff first." he said, and turned back, giving a wave with his cigarette-holding hand. He'd be back soon enough, yeah. This wouldn't take long.

He returned through the alley which he came from, following it until he reached a rather silent canal side. Setting the man down against the railing, he reached down to his belt and pulled out a Model 29 'Sticky' Magic Bomb. Opening the unconscious man's mouth, he shoved the bomb as far in as he could without choking him and waking him up. Then, he lifted him up, and threw him into the canal. As the man submerged, Sion threw what was left of his cigarette after him, snapped his fingers, and muttered: "Boom."

The only thing that revealed the man's death was a few bubbles reaching the surface and the water at the surface suddenly obtaining a slightly red shine. The body would be carried through the undercurrents until it ended up in the lakes. Just another day in Sion's life. He turned back through the alley and walked to the bakery where he had left Tyf and Tormoru. All in all, it took him perhaps five minutes at the utter maximum.

He walked into the bakery and reached down into his pocket, to take out another cigarette. He patted around his pockets and groaned. "I don't suppose either of you has a light, huh?" he asked.

Hmm, her Christmas Cookies paid for eh? So tempting, so very tempting to accept his offer. However before she opened her mouth to exclaim in joy that he'd buy her food for her Tormoru asked herself two things. One, would her alias Torie allow such a man to buy her something, I mean she was supposed to be a nice girl, would a nice girl take such an offer. Second, was allowing someone else to buy a gift cheapening the gift? Would she be able to give the cookies she wanted to the person she wanted and it still be okay that she didn't buy them herself. Torn for a second she chose a third option, why doesn't he buy her something to eat now and she buy her own present. A smirk, quickly turned smile brought the edges of her mouth upwards.

"Sure Baldy," She said, closing her eyes and widening her smile to mimic elation, "I need to buy a present for someone but how about we both get a ginger bread man cookie, maybe you could even get a Santa one!". A chirpy reply suddenly turned to a confused 'huh'. Tormoru realised what Tyf had said before. He wondered who the plump, red clad man was. Didn't everyone know that was Santa, the man that brought presents and joy to little children yet meant excessive buying and constant lying from parents. "YOU DON'T KNOW WHO SANTA IS!" She exclaimed at a volume that would have turned all heads in the shop if Sion's escapades hadn't frightened them away. She found herself grasping his forearm and twirling him around to face a cabinet of widely decorated cakes, cookies and breads, all with some sort of Father Christmas design.

"Where're you from! You don't know the Father of Christmas, Santa Claus, The big red man! Did you used to live on a different planet or something!" She ranted, confused how he could have come from a place where this man wasn't known. Settling her energy she composed her self and shot a quick sorry look to Tyf. "Anyway, pick out a cookie for yourself and for me and we'll eat it," Tormoru murmured before the bell of the shop chimed once more.

There he was, the second man today that had made her curse internally multiple times. Sion, her teammate, who had been looking older and more stylish lately. However what pissed her off this instant was what was holding in one of his hand. A cigarette, a smoking stick. When the hell did he pick up this habit, the habit of always smelling like smoke, maybe developing chronic coughing or some kind of respiratory disease. Ah well,it wasn't really any of her business but at the moment he wanted to fill this lovely shop with smelly smoke. Walking over to him she held out her hand and looked at him. "You're not smoking in here Fancy boy, no matter how fancy you are you aren't smoking up the room and making it smell disgusting..."

Tyf was surprised with Torie (or was it Torm)'s answer. He figured that the other was clearly being independent but a side of her also wanted to be playful as it seemed. "All right, my treat for something to warm ourselves. A pastry perhaps from one of these." He said before he was caught off guard and almost jumped to the side when Torie had began talking about this Santa Claus fellow like it were a cult icon that should not have been forgotten in the first place though perhaps the question was that if Tyf had ever known the man beforehand for him to ever remember him and the to that was simply, "No. I'm sorry. I don't think I've heard of him at all."

And silence before Torie began to rapidly talk more about the man and how Tyf was seemingly a rare creature to never have ever known of him. A few heads in the area had turned towards them, albeit weirdened by the scenario or perhaps a little irritated that their little search for their own items to be bought was disturbed by a couple of young fellows. Tyf was almost red as a tomato, blushing and obviously embarrassed to have elicited such a reaction from the lady he was with at the moment, not that he was already red enough as his tan skin was turning red from the cold and all the more from such an event.

"Oh, that's right. I'm not from here." He quickly said, looking to the side for a moment as he feared that he might actually turn more red if someone was looking at him with appraising eyes like Torie. "In fact, from where I'm from there are no white fluff that falls from the sky nor any merry making on the streets unless it is a wedding then by virtue of responsibility to the clan we must attend the procession and gathering thereafter, or the fact that there is this one red clad man as you mentioned that seemed to be quite famous around this part of the globe." He sighed in defeat, "I'm sorry, I just don't know what everything around me seems to mean but I do know good food so I'll make it up to you somehow."

At that, he turned towards the pastries and though there were a lot of those gingerbread in a man's form that was baked, he chose another. These were cinnamon crusted and baked to perfect brown, some had raisins and almonds, while he preferred the one with walnuts. He asked for a clerk for a bag of those small, bite-sized cookies, about a dozen of them before paying and then turning back to Torie. But now the man from earlier had joined them inside the bakery and was getting a short lecture from Torie about cigarettes. Though in politeness' sake, he did offer, "I think the bake master has a torch." Completely overriding the greeting of the other as a real question.

Sion just laughed when Tormoru lectured him about cigarettes, and reached down into his pockets once she was finished. He pulled out a pack, returned the cigarette to its place, and returned it to its place in his pocket. "Don't worry, don't worry, calm down." he said with a chuckle. "You've made it perfectly clear, you don't want me to smoke near you, so I won't. It's not like I'm addicted or anything." he added, grinning. He was used to Tormoru's angry moods and how to handle them by now; complying. She was as stubborn as a mule sometimes, though Sion didn't think that a bad thing.

Then the strange fellow Torm had been tugging along commented that the baker had a torch. Sion looked at him strangely for a moment, and then burst out in a short laugh again. "I meant a lighter, mate. Something to light a cigarette with, not burn a house down." he said good-heartedly, before giving the man an appraising look. He did look strange, though Sion saw some similarities between him and Tormoru. Looking back and forth between the two for a few moments, his eyes narrowed slightly.

"Say, you two won't just happen to be related, would you?" he asked, a question of honest curiosity. He was probably going to hear no, but like so many people who spent too many years nosing through books, Sion was bad at keeping back his questions if he was curious, and he was most definitely curious right now. After all, you didn't find a lot of people with Tormoru's skin color in Fiore, and to find two of them together was obviously a strange occurrence, one which Sion couldn't help but investigate.

Then his noble upbringing kicked in and he reached for his own face and facepalmed. "But I forget my manners." he said, more posh than the things he had said before. He made a small bow and said: "My name is Sion Ciladion. Scholar, mercenary, bounty hunter, swordsman extraordinaire. Third Sword Saint at that, third strongest in all of Fiore, but I'll stop before I ramble." He straightened his back again and grinned. "Oh, and singer in a cozy little bar on Saturday nights. You two should both stop by at some point." he added with some humor. It was true, though. He did pick up that job a week or two ago.

Seeing the cigarette returned to his pocket Tormoru was happy with that, she didn't mind him smoking really, just the fact that he'd ruin this shops atmosphere, something that she wouldn't usually mind yet for some reason the Christmas feeling wanted her to keep the bakery as it was. As he went on to slightly belittle her new associate she couldn't help but to chuckle a bit at Sion's almost rudeness. What was this Faranbald guy on, he didn't know much about anything, maybe he was socially retarded or something. As long as he returned home with her where all her sharp objects were it was fine. However what Sion stumble on next irked her, them two, related. Of course she wasn't related to him, she had no cousins, sisters, brothers or anything like that, just two parents. How could he think she was related to such a weird person anyway. "No, I met Baldy just before, he threw a snowball at me so now he's accompanying me around, kind of like a bag carrier!" She simply replied, half hoping the comment that Tyf had attacked her would rile Sion up and cause him to blast the man to kingdom come. "How about you two talk a while, I need to ask the baker to rustle me up something special for someone!"

Turning away from the two men she smiled at the man behind the counter. His name tag called him Charlie yet that name was too young for him. His face was wrinkled and old, yet at the same time seemed full of life. He wore a simple shirt and corduroy trouser combination beneath his apron. He screamed old man, and was comparable to the old brick walls of the shop. However, also similar to the shop, he emanated a calm, warm feeling that made you want to stop and chat to him.

"Hey, Mister?" She asked to grab his attention. His old dough like face rose up from the slices of cherry bread he was cutting from the loaf. "Oh yes m'dear, and do call me Charlie please," He replied, a croaky old voice coming from his crevassed lips. Tormoru couldn't help but to smile back at him, what had gone wrong with her today. Sighing to herself she slipped off her glove and showed her guild mark to him. "I want three gingerbread cookies please. One that looks a bit like me, another like him," She whispered the last part, making sure Sion wouldn't hear her as she indicated to him, " and a cookie that looks like this symbol, Charlie, I'm sure you know what organisation I belong to and if you do this for me I suppose I can personally protect your shop for the holidays...deal?"

Her bargain may have been more work for her but it was worth it if she could get the things she wanted for her team mate. As the baker indicated that the deal was made, she smiled, waved at him and bid him farewell, turning to return to Tyf and Sion, whatever they had gotten up to. "I'll pick it up later Charlie!" She twisted to say," and now you two its time for us to get to the next shop."

"Eh?" Tyf left his mouth agape for a long while at the suggestion of being related to the girl he had just met earlier through a miscommunication of his vision and hand throwing the snow ball. He glanced the other just for a brief moment before the thoughts began to fall in place. They may have some similarities, but they were still two distinct persons and one could not possibly have mistake it. And as it would seem, Torie had quickly denied any form of relations and Tyf nodded with a serious face at him as well before he could speak as Torie went on to suggest that he and this new fellow Sion should have a moment outside the bakery to talk. "All right, no harm in that."

And they would only be stepping a bit outside before the coldness of the night returned to play a slight tinge on Tyf's cheek. He couldn't help but smile at the fascinating sensation before looking up to try and see if he could see where all those white fluffy yet cold and wet articles came from. Surely no one could be spraying it without their notice from way up high. "Odd weather but it feels rather… jolly." he began as if he was the one trying to get along well with other. "I suppose this is a lot better than having hail raining down on one's head. Though maybe not also because I could never survive in a place with this cold weather for the rest of my life. Too cold for comfort."

He stifled a sneeze before a hand unconsciously went for his neck to raise his scarf only to realize the absence of the cloth and he remembered how he gave it to Torie earlier so that the girl would not feel the chill of the environment. He made a silly grin at the thought before he quickly turned to Sion and thought of engaging the other in a conversation just as Torie had suggested. "You say you're a scholar? Can you tell me tales of this land's culture, then? I've always wanted to learn about it but I can never get enough access in public libraries let alone enough time to do so since I've only been around in a town for a short while before circumstances would chase me away."

And though he was interested to hear the other's answer, he might have to wait for another occasion as Torie had come at the best timing to interrupt them and lead them to the next shop. "Next shop? Uh…" he looked around glancing at each opened store with bright lights signaling their customers that they were far from closing for the day. "Which exactly?"

No family, huh? He saw that one coming. Still, Sion's curiosity was sated for now. He now also knew how they had met without even needing to ask. So this guy pelted Tormoru with a snowball. Sion sighed and shook his head. That wasn't a very nice thing to do to a lady... But he seemed to be repenting by serving as Tormoru's luggage rack. That was good enough for Sion, at this moment. He wasn't so violent as to just toss a guy through the room for something like throwing a snowball...

Still, he just went outside into the snow along with the new guy as Tormoru went to get something for someone. Sion felt some curiosity as to who this particular person might be, but quickly waved away the notion. He didn't feel like nosing around in Torm's business anyway. She might get mad at him again, and even merely thinking of that made him a bit on edge. Tormoru could actually be quite frightening when she was angry.

Standing outside with the snow reaching till past the ankles at some points, Sion felt entirely comfortable. He had once tried to push his supernatural resistance to the weather. In the Sanzibar desert he had felt entirely comfortable. His stroll through the Glacial Flats didn't feel much different from a stroll through the park. A little bit of Coreopsis snow didn't really affect him all that much. People still looked at him weirdly, with his summer clothes and weapon almost as tall as himself.

When the new guy talked, Sion listened rather quietly. "Myeah, I have to agree. It can be rather chilly out here. I figure it is right now. Don't really notice much about it myself. Still, it's indeed preferable to hail." He remained silent for a second then looked up at the sky. "You know..." he started rather slowly. "I once saw a guy get hit in the head with a hailstone the size of my fist." He held it up for illustration. "Knocked his brains right out." I do believe it gave me quite the chuckle, he added in his head. "Luckily it's not always this cold. Nah, this is winter weather, it's much better during the summer."

The guy asked him about the history of the country, and Sion took a deep breath, actively preventing himself from going off on a rant. The last thing you wanted to do was get Sion going about the past of the country. He'd tell you every king in the past 3 generations, tell you their full names, what they did, who their best-known servants were, what kind of color clothes they wore, even what their favorite food was. And that was just one line of individuals from the royal house.

Luckily for Tyf, and all those reading this thread, Tormoru interrupted in a most timely manner. "Good question, which shop indeed?" he said. He grinned at Tormoru. "Choose your next destination, oh mighty leader." he said before letting out another light-hearted chuckle. He was just teasing her a little.

It seemed both the men that accompanied her wanted to know where they were going, yet this dark mage wasn't going to let them get what they wanted, nope, she was, as Sion said, the mighty leader of this pack of crazy people. A mental dark mage and a Curious stranger, along with her, they must have been a sight. Chuckling to herself she decided to reply to Sion's slight jab at her bossing them around. "Yep Fancy boy, you got that right, and you know what'll happen if you don't obey me right?" She finished, holding up her hand, a finger and a thumb extended to mimic a gun. The one eyed woman blew on the tip of the finger as if it was smoking and she'd just fired it. Winking, or more blinking, with her good eye Tormoru started to lead them down the street, over yet another bridge to a square on the other side. The square contained quite a few upmarket boutiques and restaurants along with a couple of jewellery shops. This was their next destination, not too far from the bakery and not too far from her home.

The square was decorated with a few wreaths, a chain of lacrima lights hung from one building to the other drooping slightly like a canopy of twinkling stars. The square had a pebble mosaic in the middle of it depicting cupid, after all Coreopsis was the town of love. She'd stepped over the cupid mosaic many a time, spending her hard earned jewels on countless clothes and trinkets. Ah, now was the time to buy things for others...well, buy something for herself for someone else. But before she got to that Tormoru was hit by the Christmas spirit again.

A small stage had been erect at the other end of the square, a band of people with wooden instruments and metal wind pipes started to play, filling the air with music. Then, one beautiful woman, head amber like a fire, fitted dress the colour of the midnight sky. The microphone in front of her screeched slightly as she started talking...well, as she started singing. Tormoru felt her skin prickle as the amazing voice caused the crowd to erupt in cheer, though she was pretty jealous that she couldn't sing like that. "Come on guys, how about we stick around here for a few songs, Fancy boy , Baldy, shows us your moves!" She chuckled, placing her hands in the coat pockets of her jacket.

The grand retelling of a historical story of a country was unexpectedly interrupted when Torm came out and proclaimed they had to go to the next shop. Tyf sighed in disappointment but followed anyway. Perhaps he could nag Sion about it later on. It was a good thing he had found a new friend he could talk about similar interests with so perhaps he could stay in town a little longer. Not like he had other commitments to attend to that moment. Torm and Sion, quite the pair and luckily they already knew each other. But before they could go to the next shop or for Tyf to contemplate his soon-to-be life in Coreopsis any further, they were stopped when a performance along the newly erected stage had started.

It was amazing and Tyf remembered his homeland were people celebrated in dances about everything that should be merry and reveling about. With a little urge from Torm, the tan-skinned traveller smiled as widely as he could while agreeing. "Most certainly, my lady." He gave a quick bow before dashing towards the stage. Of course it was to his luck that the beats of the on going music resembled something like the ones his tribe would create using centuries old tambourines and drums, snake-like flutes and lutes, and the cheering of the crowd. It didn't take long before he felt possessed by his own culture and danced gracefully to the tune. Nearby dancers and performers began cheering or following his lead and the little spot where the stage was set became bustling.

A long music, almost endless, before the fall to a bow and the stand of the cheers, whistles of approval and chants of bravo and more pegged him in place as another round of dancing and merry-making was made. He would enjoy the event, as much as allowing children to dance along with him and steal glances over to where Torm and Sion were, smiling at them before constantly pleading them to join. "Come on, you guys!" he would say before his hand would be caught by a young lady and he would be turning in circles with her, or dancing with an excited young lad who tap danced. Pretty much, everyone had their tunes and dance steps in mind but everyone were in one beat so long as they had fun.
