Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

'Twas a dark winter night, and Christmas was approaching. Sion had always felt these kinds of events kind of pass by like just another day. He never really had someone to celebrate those things with. Noel, maybe. Nah, Noel had other friends, not to mention his guild. Ryo, perhaps. Nah, he'd just burn down the Christmas tree and the presents along with them. Tormoru? Hm, not a bad choice. He would have to track her down. How'd he ask that, though? Just, 'hey Torm, wanna come celebrate Christmas with me this year'?

Either way, it was late, or rather, early. The young ex-knight decided that it was time for sleep. He changed into whatever it was he chose to sleep in that night (black track pants and a white t-shirt) and drifted away into a land of dreams. Yet these weren't the normal kind of nonsensical dreams. There was something very odd about what Sion experienced that night.

The beginning of his first dream. He was standing next to his bed, looking down at his own sleeping body. "Eh?" he exclaimed, and started trying to shake himself awake, but found that he only passed through. He was a ghostly appearance, an image of his former self yet something totally different. "Am I dead?" he murmured to noone in particular. What a way to die for a guy like him, sleeping in his bed.

"Nah, you're not dead. You're just going on a journey." said a voice next to him. Sion leaped two meters backwards in shock and looked at whoever had spoken. It was... Bill Murray? Of course Sion did not know this name and neither did he recognize him, but for all of us it must be quite weird to see one of the Ghostbusters play the role of, well, a ghost in our little story.

"Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my house and why am I a ghost?" Sion rambled, the questions flowing out like a waterfall of thrown-together syllables. The man, also slightly ghostly in appearance, just gave him a smile. He was sitting in the spinning chair Sion used in his study, which doubled as his bedroom, with his hands folded together in front of his face. "Like I said, you're going on a journey. As for me, I'm the Ghost of Christmas Past, sonny. I'll be taking you through one half." the man said with a grin. "Just call me Bill, though. Well, let's be off, then."

Before Sion could react, he felt the floor falling away below him, and he fell into a deep dark tunnel. "Say sonny, how long has it been since you celebrated Christmas?" The voice was pretty much next to his ear but he couldn't see him. "T-Twelve years!" he exclaimed, wondering how this long fall was gonna end. That happened as suddenly as it started, and he found himself in a large living room. A family of four was sitting in front of a large fireplace, with an equally over-sized and over-decorated tree next to it. This had to be the Celadon household.

Sion looked at the four people. A man, a woman, and two children, one about six years old and one around nine. With a shock he realized he was looking at himself, his brother, and his parents. "Take a look at the past right now, boy. You were happy back then, no? Before whatever happened to you, happened." Bill said. Sion was gripping the back of his father's seat with ghostly fingers. His knuckles somehow managed to be pale despite him being a ghost as well.

"I was, but... My parents, in the end, never loved me. I was just another political device for the both of them." he said bitterly, but Bill shook his head. "Look at your father's face. If there was anything in the world he loved, it was you." the Ghost of Christmas Past said. Sion looked up, and saw his father looking down at his youngest son, who was sitting in his lap, with a faint smile. His expressive eyes showed nothing but fondness towards the lad.

"That man is dead now. I'll leave it up to you to find out how. But look at him right here. Will you still hate him, despite what he did for you? He did love you, and so did your mother." Bill said. Sion remained silent, but felt ethereal tears welling up in his eyes. "Good gods... I'm sorry, dad..." he croaked, unable to stand being in front of this man and seeing the irrefutable proof that he did, indeed, care for his son. He floated in front of him and attempted to hug his father, but passed right through, of course. It had been ten years since he had felt even the slightest affection towards his family. By now he was weeping.

His father gave no reaction, but for a split second their eyes met, and Sion could swear that the smile got slightly larger, as if his father wanted to say, 'I heard you, son. Don't be sorry. Despite all your defects, you've grown to be a fine man.' Bill was smiling by now, looking at the tender scene with folded arms. "C'mon, sonny. We've got one more stop to make before you're passed on to the next fellow." he said, walking over and placing a hand on Sion's shoulder. The white-haired boy nodded.

Again the surroundings shifted, but more like a hazy passage rather than the tunnel he had fallen through at first. They were lying under a pair of blankets, with two children sitting right in front of him. Sion realized with a shock that these two were him and Megumi at, say, thirteen. They were both holding books, and there was a bottle of wine Sion had stolen between the two of them.

"Twelve years, you said? Seems more like five to me." Bill said, looking at the two kids with a smile. Oh yeah, Sion remembered. He had celebrated Christmas with Megumi once. The only presents they could give to each others were books they managed to find in the archives. Sion had given Megumi a book about Dragon myths, and in return he had gotten a book about magical items supposedly made by the gods themselves. It wasn't much, but for the two, it was great.

"Dontcha miss these days?" Bill said. Sion laughed. "Nah. The time I spent with the Knight-Archivists sucked. The only fond memories I have of it were with Megumi. I wouldn't go back for all the Jewels in the world, but this kinda makes me wanna celebrate Christmas again." he responded. Bill raised a ghostly hand through the blankets and slapped Sion on the back. "There we go. That's what I wanted to hear. But you also gotta better your life, buddy. I'll be passing you on to the next guy, who'll show ya why. We probably won't meet anymore but hey, it was a learning experience for both of us."

Sion nodded, but before he could thank Bill, he was sucked up into a tunnel similar to the first, only upwards, and longer, it seemed...

As Sion was being dragged upwards through the tunnel, a certain song started playing in his head. He had no idea why. He had never even heard the song. Yet it was still playing in his head. A gravelly voice was singing along with it. Sion didn't know who this 'Vegeta' was either. Most likely said man was screaming in mental torture somewhere within the time-space continuum. Unbeknownst to the white-haired man, he was, and not for the first time since meeting the man Sion was going to meet now.

"IIIII AM THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS FUTURE!" the gravelly voice shouted right next to his ear, before Sion was violently thrown out of the tunnel and onto the ground. Despite being a ghost, that still hurt, somehow. He looked up and saw a tall man in armor, with legs and arms like tree trunks, a shaved head, and a rather silly moustache. "Call me Ghost Nappa! Or Nappa!" he said. Sion's head fell onto the floor. This guy seemed a lot more hyperactive and stupid than Bill. "Goddammit, Nappa..." Sion mumbled under his breath.

Scrambling to his feet, he looked around. They were on what looked like a battlefield. There were dead people everywhere. Nappa pointed a hand that would make a shovel head blush in shame at one of the corpses. Sion approached it and, with a shock, realized that it was him. He looked older, about twenty-five, but he was dead. Very very dead. If Sion had to come up with a name for how dead he was, it would be cadaveriffic.

"Why am I here and why am I dead?" he asked, turning back to Nappa with a look of desperate wonder on his face. "There was a big guild war here! Tartar Sauce and them Grimy Hair fellows duked it out on this field. Lots'a dead people, as you can see. You're one of 'em. That Oby fellow's somewhere lyin' 'round here too, and Ryo had some bad luck against that ace o' theirs. Both of 'em are dead, just like you." he said, scratching his head. Sion didn't really know how to react. Then something hit him. "A-And Tormoru?" he asked. Nappa pulled a gravely serious face at that. "I'll save you from knowing that girl's fate." was all he said, in tones that made it thoroughly certain that was all Sion was going to get out of him.

Sion sighed and got up. "Why are you showing me this?" he asked. Nappa shrugged. "You gotta better your life, buddy! I didn't, and look at me now. Killed on Space Christmas. Now I'll be haunting time as the Ghost of Christmas Future. Unless you wanna end up as the Ghost of Christmas Present for the rest of eternity, you'd better shape up your life. This all took place on Christmas, too." he said. Sion was shocked as to how calm the guy seemed about it all.

"So this is my future, huh?" Sion muttered. Nappa shrugged. "Your future unless you get your shit together, Tyro-I mean boy. Sorry, force of habit." Sion shook his head. This guy was very strange for someone who was supposed to teach him a life lesson. "You gotta stop recklessly charging into fights. You caused this all, you know. Swung your sword and asked later. Ended up killing one of Grimy Hair's buddies. In the end it escalated to a full-out Guild War, and Grimy Hair won. Tartar Sauce was crushed. At a big cost, though."

Sion sighed. "And what future awaits me if I do start thinking a bit more before I act?" he asked. The surroundings got blurry. "Let me show you one of the possibilities." Nappa said.

The surroundings became solid once more, and Sion and Nappa were standing in the living room of a house. Sion looked out of the window, and saw that it was snowy and dark outside. The house directly bordered a lake, so this had to be Coreopsis. One of the more expensive houses, too. He wondered who lived here. They had to be quite loaded to afford a place like this, and in Coreopsis, you didn't become loaded through legal means, unless you were a noble.

The living room door opened, and a purple-haired woman pulled a white-haired man along by his arm. They were both in their early- to mid-thirties, and despite the eyepatch, the woman was as beautiful as she had been at twenty. Of course Sion recognized the woman. It was quite obviously Tormoru. As he had remarked to her before, dark skin, purple hair, and an eye patch wasn't a combination you encountered every day. Yes, that woman was obviously Tormoru.

Sion took a good look at the man. Was that... Himself? It couldn't be, right? But why else would he have been brought here? And why was his tattoo gone? He shook his head violently. Why were the two of them, hand in hand, in a cozy room, in a big house, at the age of thirty-something? And were those rings he could see on their fingers? This was all quite the mystery to the young mage, but it seemed like the duo's following action would clear up whatever confusion he had.

Adult Tormoru turned around and asked Adult Sion: "So, Christmas Eve? I know we already bought presents and stuff, and we just tried to surprise each other, was there something you really wanted for Christmas?" Adult Sion chuckled and tugged on Adult Tormoru's arm, pulling her close to him, and then shamelessly -they were oblivious of the onlookers either way- kissed her. The kiss lasted for easily three minutes, and was more passionate than any kiss Sion had ever read about in a book or seen performed by couples in a park.

Ghost Sion was, by now, as red as a ghost can get in the face. "Did tha- Are we- How the-" He paused. "Whaaaaaaat?!" he exclaimed, and looked over at Ghost Nappa, who was also slightly red on the cheeks despite the grin at Sion's reaction. "It's that girl and you, yes. And before you ask, yeah, you're married." Nappa said. Sion could practically feel the steam rising from his ears. Married? To Tormoru?

By that time, the kiss was finished, and the two managed to disentangle from each other. "All I want is you." Adult Sion said, gazing down at who was apparently his wife. Sion was red as a beet, looking like a mini-lighthouse right now, a pillar of white with red on top. This was quite surprising, he had to admit. Still, a life where he was married to Tormoru. As he calmed down slightly, he realized that there were worse fates than that. Hell, it wasn't even a very bad fate.

Nappa seemed about to say something. Sion raised his hand. "Can I... look for a bit longer, please?" he asked. Nappa remained silent and then nodded. He understood that Sion was trying to let the very idea of a happy future sink in. He had always expected to live a long, but lonely life. To see that a future like this was possible... It came as a shock to him, but a pleasant one. For a good hour, Sion and Nappa looked upon the scene. It was already late, it seemed, so all the two of them did was sit on the couch together, watching a movie on what Sion recognized as one of the more expensive movie lacryma around.

Before the movie's end, the two of them had fallen asleep, Tormoru leaning her head on Sion's chest. The 'normal' Sion sighed. "All I want is you, huh? Didn't know I'd grow to be a romantic." he said. "I say, this is preferable over dying in a battle at twenty five." He remained silent for a little longer, and then smiled at the sleeping future duo. "If this is the future waiting for me, then sure. I'll be less reckless. Now, when can I go back? I've got Christmas to prepare for." he said with a grin.

Nappa grinned back. "You'll be going home right now then, kid." He put a hand the size of a ham on Sion's head and ruffled his ghostly hair. "Take care of yourself. It'd be a shame if you'd end up killing yourself." And with that, the ground fell away under his feet again.

With a shock, he sat up. The sunlight hit like a punch in the face and he fell back onto his pillow, covering his face with the blanket. Was that a dream? Or was it real? Either way, Sion knew what he was going to do. Christmas had been put out for too damned long. He jumped out of his bed and got dressed. Without so much as carrying a weapon, he stormed out of his apartment. Once on the street, he saw one of the boys that occasionally ran errands for other people who lived in the same building.

He whistled to catch the kid's attention, then reached into his wallet. Pressing a note in the kid's hand, he said: "Go to the nearest butcher and order a turkey for me, will you? It's for Christmas. You can keep the change." before dashing off towards Tormoru's place. The kid stared after him and then looked down at his hand. Even after buying the turkey, he'd have enough money left to supply himself with candy for the next two months.
