Samuel lifted his head and told Bobby, "She's my client and a friend. Lily said she's in the same classroom as you and she fits the partial description you gave. I'm not going to give up on a promise I had made with her. If I fail her, then I can never forgive myself." The teen stood up and handed Bobby the letter of Lily's confession. Samuel was surprised that the boy was intrigued to see that he wasn't to give up on this mission. This was not a mission; it was a matter of trust. The teen eased himself for he thought he was almost finished with the mission. He inhaled and then exhaled to release the air of exhuastion from his lungs. He went over to the railing and leaned on it. Samuel looked up at the night sky and saw nothing but blackness and a few stars. He then said, "Bobby, you must be one lucky man. I mean, you have a lot of girls chasing after you every time they see you. Also, I have to deliever this letter of confession to you from my friend. Lily is a nice person. She'll love you with most of her heart. I bet that the two of you will make the best of each other's lives." The teen looked at Bobby and saw that he was a type of guy who would search for the right girl that will care for him. Samuel wasn't like that. He was more of a person who would have a girl she him and he would make them interested in him. He didn't have the looks like Bobby have, but he did have something important: a caring heart. Some say that it's "love in the air" but Samuel thinks it's more like a lover longing to be loved more. The only thing that he loved was his mother and only her. She cared for him and that man who calls himself a "father". He wondered how Bobby goes through his life with all the girls chasing after him. Soon, midnight was coming and Samuel was ready to complete his mission once Bobby's accepts Lily's confession. He was determined to complete his promise to Lily and finish this mission. |

Bobby raised an eyebrow in response to Samuel's explanation. "Your client? You mean to say that Lily actually hired someone to have this letter delivered? I don't know whether I should be impressed or confused. Is she really that shy?" Bobby told Samuel. He stood motionless for a moment, looking at the love letter, trying to decide what he should do. "Urgh, whatever, I guess I'll take it then. That girl is really troublesome, getting other people involved in this. And you might think having all the girls after me is fun, but it's not. It gets really annoying after a while. They are constantly fighting over who will walk with me, who will carry my stuff, who will sit with me during lunch, even who will pick up something I dropped. It's suffocating. At least I hope getting a girlfriend will do something to put an end to all of this." he sighed. He took the love letter from Samuel's hands and took a closer look at it. It had the typical signs of a love letter, a pink envelope, a seal in the shape of a heart, and neat handwriting reading "To Bobby". He just had to read it after all of this. Back on the clock tower's stairs, Daisy was still comforting the crying Marcy. After a few minutes, the latter had calmed down a bit and was now merely sobbing. "I, I'm fine now, thank you. I guess this was all pretty silly in the first place. But I won't give up! I will work to improve myself until all of the boys look at me!" Marcy declared triumphantly before storming outside the building. Daisy gave off a sigh of relief, when she noticed a piece of paper on the floor. It had some notes on it, they looked like confession lines. It probably belonged to Marcy, so Daisy picked it up and ran out after her. "Hey, you forgot this!" she shouted while running after Marcy on the street. The latter turned around and noticed Daisy, then the piece of paper, and turned bright red. She quickly walked back to Daisy and grabbed it from her hands. "Y-you, you, you... did you read this?" she asked, her voice trembling. "Nope, I just saw you drop it and thought I should return it to you." Daisy answered with a smile. Marcy sighed relieved, thanked Daisy for her help and walked off into the city. |

Samuel released a small bundle of air as he was easing himself in relief. He was excited that he could finally finish his mission and his promise to Lily. All he was waiting for was Bobby's answer to the confession letter that Lily sent to him. The teeen was leaning on the railing of the tower. He wanted to finish this mission and head back to the guild where he can relax to completing his second D-rank mission. He wondered what Daisy might be doing with Marcy. The fact that the young girl wanted Bobby, she began to cry desperately. Samuel felt sad when he did that to her. Bobby, on the other hand, turned down Marcy's confession despite of her age. "Marcy, everything is going to be alright. There's going to be a boy perfect for you. Despite of age, he'll love you for what he cares for best. I hope you find that one and cherish him like you did to Bobby," he thought calmly. Either it was by Samuel's sense of curiosity or his sense of caring, he tried to look at the letter that Lily assigned him to send to Bobby. In a failure attempt, he saw that the letter was right close to Bobby's face and the boy didn't speak of any words coming from the letter. This made Samuel wonder what Lily actually sent to Bobby as a confession of love. Suddenly, Bobby was finished with the letter and glanced at Samuel. He chuckled a bit and then glanced at the letter. He wanted to say something but the letter was holding back his words. "Is there something amiss, Bobby?" Samuel asked. He wanted to look at the letter as well; however, it was for Bobby and him only. He gave up on trying to read the letter and waited for Bobby's answer. |

Bobby opened the envelope and slowly read the letter. He chuckled at some parts of it, but was generally serious for the most part. After a few minutes passed, he finished the letter. "Well, this is an honest letter, I can tell that much. But I'm not sure how I should react when the person herself isn't here..." he said. He was visibly troubled, he wanted to respond to Lily herself, not some messenger. However, the two of them were interrupted by an unexpected visitor. The girl who was waiting outside the clock tower from the start saw the opportunity to enter when Daisy went after Marcy. She quickly moved up to the top and saw Bobby with the letter Samuel handed him. "I see, so these brats delivered their letter to you. Did they tell you the whole story, though? This one she pointed at Samuel and the other one at the entrance lied to all of the girls that were coming here to confess to you. They sent them away to the celadon lakes, I'm the only one that realized their trick and returned." she announced triumphantly. She had the face of someone who had just unmasked a villain, the kind a great detective had at the end of a mystery movie. Bobby took a good look at the girl and then laughed. He laughed loudly while holding his stomach with both arms. "So? You think you some uncovered some evil plot or something? Are you expecting me to throw away this letter and go out with you because of your genius? Everything's fair in love and war, young miss." he replied after managing to stop his laughter. The girl's cheeks grew bright red from embarrassment and anger and she ran down the stairs and out the clock tower. She had just been humiliated by the object of her affection, that was enough to shake any girl. Meanwhile, Daisy had returned from seeing off Marcy and was sitting at the stairs of the clock tower. She was patiently waiting for Samuel to return and was passing the time by playing with Haru. She held the critter in both of her arms and tossed her in the air, catching her when she fell down. Haru had her usual smile during this game, making it really hard to determine whether she liked it or not. Daisy didn't notice the girl running down the stairs from behind her, she only realized when she bumped into her and knocked Haru over to the ground. Haru landed on her head, but she still gave off no reaction. Daisy picked her up in a slight panic and looked at the girl who was running away. "Who on earth was she? And when did she get up there?" she wondered out loud. |

Samuel was relieved to see that mysterious girl leave. He didn't know that one of them were to figure out Daisy's plan for he was easily fooled by it as well. He then went to Daisy and told her, "I don't know who she is but Bobby was really cold onto her." He remembered that he went on Marcy despite of her age and how much she felt for her. The teen wondered what this boy might say about Lily's confession. At that thought, he had an idea went off in his mind. He wanted to say it to Daisy and Bobby; however, it might be a bit stupid to do so. He wanted to make this a surprise for Lily. He grabbed both Bobby's and Daisy's hand and rushed down off the tower. Down the stairs he went as well as the both of them completely bewildered of what the teen was doing with them. Daisy felt somewhat light in Samuel's hands while he struggled to move Bobby despite of his physical stature. They reached halfway from Lily's house. Samuel had gotten tired of holding their hands and released them. He still had a little energy to move to Lily's house before reaching up to fatigue. Samuel was jogging in place while telling both Daisy and Bobby, "Come on! Just follow me and we'll get this entire thing settled." He dashed off to Lily's house while leaving the two of behind in his tracks. Samuel wasn't that fast enough, but he could reach to the area of where Lily's house is before he becomes fatigue. The teen was bright and ready to show how much affection Lily would give to Bobby without just writing a letter. She has to show Bobby how she feels. "I'm going to make things right. You can count on me, Lily!" Samuel thought. He reached close to Lily's house. He finally released a large amount of air as he was jogging pitifully to reach to the door. He almost collasped on the ground and then went towards the door. He finally reached to the door and tried to knock on it. The knock was weak, but it did give off some noise for an empty house to hear. "Lily, I brought someone special for you. Please, come outside," Samuel said with the only decent stamina he has left. He then relaxed on the steps of the front entrance and waited for Lily to come outside and Bobby to make an exciting appearance. Edited by Noxa, Jan 7 2013, 03:10 AM.

Bobby was curious to see where the young boy was taking him, while Daisy was too surprised to act against him pulling her arm. The two of them followed Samuel after he let go of them, although Daisy had an idea of what Samuel was planning. She knew what direction he was moving towards, it was Lily's house. Bobby was clueless the entire time, but he caught on when he heard Samuel call for Lily to come out. "So that's what you were planning?" he said with a slight laugh. There was a distant shuffling sound heard from inside the house, the sound of an object bumping into several things, and finally the doorknob turning. The door opened slightly and a person peeked outside. It was the same timid girl with glasses Daisy and Samuel had met earlier, Lily. "Um, what is it? Did, did you complete the mission? And who are you ta-" Lily began talking to Samuel and steadily opened the door more, only to come to an abrupt halt the moment she noticed Bobby. Her face turned red, her mouth was gaping open and she just stared at him for a few seconds. When her wits returned to her, she quickly shut the door and hid inside. Oh boy, this was going to take a while to resolve. "Wh-wh-wh-why did you bring him here? I told you to deliver my letter to him! Are you trying to embarrass me?" Lily shouted from behind the door. She sounded upset, but Daisy could tell that she was just shy. She walked up to the door and decided to talk to Lily as well. "Lily, you know we wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Don't you want to talk to Bobby yourself?" "Yo-yo-you think it's that easy? I would do it if I could! That's why I hired you two!" Lily shouted back. Daisy sighed and scratched her head. "You really haven't thought this through, have you? Let's say Bobby accepted to become your boyfriend, then what? Will you still be unable to talk to him? Come on, get out here and face your fear. You can't keep running forever!" Daisy tried convincing Lily. There was no reaction this time, Lily remained perfectly still inside her home. Did Daisy manage to convince her? Perhaps all she needed was one final push. Daisy glanced over to Samuel and tugged on his shirt. She pointed at he door, hinting that he should also say something to try and get Lily to come out. Who knows, maybe she would listen to him more. |

Samuel stood up and faced Lily with a serious and determined look. He wanted to tell her to suck it up and tell Bobby how she truly felt about him rather than to hire others to send a letter of confession for her. Instead of saying that, the teen said, "In order to love someone, you have to face them with your great feelings towards them. Love cannot be expressed if you're hiding the true feelings of confession. Embrace it and love Bobby." Samuel's chest felt light from the inside. He wondered if this is what embracing meant whenever loving someone. Those words he said to Lily appeared out of nowhere due to the current situation that was happening right now. He promised that he would give the letter to Bobby, and he completed that. Now, he wanted to make sure the two of them were together while embracing each other's love. "I promised that I would give the letter to him. You wanted us to make Bobby go out with you, therefore we have to make sure that happens in any way possible. Now you can tell him your feelings towards him and make sure he gets them from you instead from a piece of paper," Samuel said willingly. The teen went over to Bobby and told him, "Lily is going to tell her feelings to you. Please, don't let her down. This is probably the best thing that will happen to her. Now, go on ahead and face her as she tell you everything she loves about you." Samuel rushed behind the boy's back and gave him a slight push up to Lily's doorstep. Fortunately, Bobby moved right on the steps and faced Lily. He was calm and she was slightly anixous to say anything. At this moment, Samuel smiled and shouted at Lily, "Go on, tell him that you love him!" He went over and stood by Daisy. He was thinking that he finally broken the shyness of Lily's ever since she placed eyes on her crush. He raised his hand in front of him and gave Lily a thumbs-up passionately. This was a sign of hope and he was wondering if Daisy can follow the same thing he was doing right now. All there was left to do was Lily telling Bobby how she feel about him. |

Samuel's words were the last push needed to make Lily come out of hiding. Slowly, she opened the door and peeked out at them. Her cheeks were bright red, evidence of her nervousness and shyness, but her eyes showed brimming expectation. She came out from hiding, one step at a time, her head lowered to avoid eye contact with Bobby. She started fidgeting and fumbling for words to pick. She turned her eyes to Daisy, taking on a really pitiable expression, the kind that asked for help. Daisy merely gave her a thumbs up along with a bright smile, telling her to go for it. After all the encouragement she got, Lily finally approached Bobby and lifted her head. The latter was merely looking at her with a slight smile on his face, waiting for her to speak first. "U-um, I-I uh, I w-wanted to say this for some time. I really like you Bobby, will you please go out with me?!" Lily said, stuttering at first but picking up the pace at the end. "Sure, why not? From what I know, you are a really kind girl. You would be pretty popular with the rest of the class if you weren't so shy." Bobby replied. Lily's eyes widened in shock, a wide smile appearing on her face. "Thank you!" she shouted before hugging Bobby. Well, it looked like their job was done. Everything played out for the best, the two teenagers had accomplished their mission without a hitch. Daisy let out a loud sigh of relief, she could have never expected things to turn out that fine. At that point, she had the feeling that someone was watching them, and turned around to notice Lily's mother standing at the door and looking at her door with a mischievous smile. "Oh my, I'm sorry for interrupting. I thought I heard sound from the front door, but I never expected something like this. How bold of you Lily, hugging a boy out in the open." she said in a teasing voice. Upon hearing her mother's voice, Lily jumped up, her face turning ever redder than before and she turned around to face her. "I-it's not what you think. I-I was, um,-out in the open?!" Lily realized then what she had just done and her face overheated from embarrassment. She couldn't take all of the stimuli at once, so her brain shut down, making her faint in the arms of Bobby. Daisy couldn't help but giggle at the funny development. "Come on Samuel, we should be leaving now. Let's leave those two be alone for now." she told her partner and pulled slightly on his sleeve. "Haha, you never change, do you, sweetie? Oh, before I forget, you two young mages over there. This is for the trouble you went through to help my daughter." Lily's mother told Daisy before she left, handing over their reward. |

Samuel was happy for Lily being confident into asking Bobby to out with her. He wanted to say something; however, it might break the moment. Lily's mother came out of the front door and told her daughter that she was hugging Bobby out in the open. Lily, at first, didn't care about that and then fainted right in her lover's arms. Daisy giggled at her little embarassment and Samuel did as well. The teen released the doubt of Bobby being a Tartaros guild member due to the fact he trusted a light guild member to go on with his plan and accepted Lily as his mate. He thought that he could make more happiness such as this while following his mother's footsteps into become the greatest wizard in Firoe. Samuel looked at both Lily and Bobby as they looked a bit like a perfect couple although she fainted in his arms. Daisy was preparing to leave because they complete their mission. She pulled on Samuel's sleeve and started to walk away from Lily's house. However, it felt as though the both of them were forgeting something important. Lily's mother told them that she almost forgotten their reward for doing this for Lily. Samuel turned around and remembered that he forgotten about recieving the reward for this mission. He returned back to the front door of the house and told Lily's mother, "Thank you, ma'am. I almost forgotten the fact that I was doing a mission instead of a favor for Lily's sake." He laughed shyly while knowing what he said was a little embarassing in front of her mother. With Bobby and Lily meeting like this, he wondered how his mother and father met into a forced marriage. The thought dispered and he returned back from his thought process. He looked back at Daisy and then at Bobby, who was holding Lily in his arms as if he was a knight saving a princess. He said, "Please, tell Lily that I wish her good luck and hope for the both of us to meet again." |

"I will, sweety, have a nice trip." Lily's mother waved goodbye to the two teens as they walked away from her house. The scene remained fairly comical with Bobby holding Lily in his arms and having a lost expression. Considering the way things turned out, the mission could be considered a perfect success. "Haha, this marks my first successful mission ever. What should I do with the money, what should I do~" Daisy mused with a happy expression. Oh, the things she could do with that money. She could buy groceries for her family, perhaps some clothing for her siblings, or maybe even fix some of the broken things around the house. The thought of using the money for herself never even crossed her mind, that was just the way she was. "What are you doing with your reward, Samuel? Oh, don't tell me, let me guess. A better sword? Or improving your current one? Where do you live anyway? Ah, we're going to miss our train." Daisy started asking Samuel questions before realizing that they should probably hurry over to the train station and leave Coreopsis. She grabbed hold of his sleeve and pulled him as she ran over to their destination. "Still, I never expected a D-Class mission to be so hard. We had to convince Bobby, which didn't turn out to be so hard, but there were even people in our way. So fun, so exciting. I wonder what I will be doing the next time." Daisy thought. She walked inside the city housing one of the craziest dark guilds, perfectly completed a mission in there and left like it was the simplest thing in the world. She was right to never worry about anything in the first place, unlike her partner. The most curious thing about this whole mission was the fact that Haru was completely quiet throughout most of it. She didn't even try to bite Daisy and was merely lying on top of her head with her usual expression. If Daisy didn't know better she would assume the critter was plotting something. But that wasn't the case and Daisy knew it, Haru was just bored. Her behavior when bored was just that, staying quiet. The mage patted her cute companion on the head for her good behavior so far. "I will buy you a treat since you were such a good girl today." she promised, although her words were lost on Haru as always. Peculiarly, the critter smiled wider than usual. |
