Yuurei was waiting for the client to come show his or her face to them. He wasn't the type to wait for the person to open the door for them. That's why he barged in there as if it was his own place. He felt someone tap his shoulder, and he just looked back, and noticed that it was Ezekiel. He wonder why his friend had tapped him on his shoulder, and it seemed like he had an expression on his face. He wonder what had happen, and why he was surprised on what he had did just now. It wasn't rude to this, and this was a shop. There was also the fact that they were here for a job, and it was good to show the other person that they weren't alone here. Yuurei just chuckled when he noticed his face, and figured that he had a lot to learn for their future missions. That was okay because he knew this guy was helpful, and was smart enough to learn from his experience. He saw that when he took him into the forest that he was able to take care of himself if he left him in the forest by himself. He turned his attention to the fact he heard someone speak up to them. It was a good morning, and he turned around to see their client here now. He smiled at the old man as it seemed like he was glad that they were in such a hurry to start working. Yeah he felt like it was best to do that. The faster they could start working the better. Yuurei heard him asking for the person who would be doing the baking. He chuckled because he looked at Ezekiel because that was his job. He wasn't going to do that because he knew he wouldn't be able to. The light wizard just watched his friend tell him that if he gave him a cook book, he would be able to do fine. That was why he like this guy. He was unique, and knowledgeable with the things he learned. Yuurei just cracked his knuckles. He was going to do the cashier register, and he couldn't wait to mess with jewels. He was really crafty with sales, and getting people to give what he wanted. It didn't work all the time, but hell it was better than nothing. Yuurei noticed that his friend had introduced himself, and he smiled. "Yuurei Soukutsu. Same guild as him. Also is the register the same as any regular register?" he asked wondering if it was different than the the old registers he messed with. "Yeah the same ones Yuurei," the old man said as he looked back at Ezekiel. Yuurei smiled as he was good with that. The light wizard just walked towards the register, and looked at it. Yeah it was the same thing, and he just began to mess with it. He was going to be standing here the hold time, and waiting for people to come in here. That was okay because it was easy for them to, and they were making money regardless. Yuurei just wonder how his friend would be on making the cake. He hope that he did his best because they needed to make some good cakes for the customers to appreciate. |

Ezekiel was confused to why Yuurei was so concerned about the date of the cash register. He then shrugged off the thought before heading to the back area with the old man. The room was basically a large kitchen; there were a few ovens, numerous utensils, a stack of cookbooks on a high shelf, two large fridges, and other interesting things a baker would enjoy tinkering with. "This is good for beginners, are you sure you'll be able to handle your side? It gets mighty hectic on weekends" The old man handed Zeke a book he pulled off from the cookbook shelf. "I'm a quick reader, and I tend to catch on quickly nevertheless... so? when do we start?" Zeke flipped open the book and began skimming through it. "We'll start with the morning orders; there are customers that have placed orders and expect the cakes to be ready for pick-up at high noon; there are already cakes baked and placed in the fridge with tags on them, Yuurei will provide us the name of the customers and expect us to return to him with what the customer ordered. Zeke nodded, his eyes still in the book, "Now let us begin with the orders; Mrs. Pennyworth wants a whole carrotcake, one layer, it is simple enough". Ezekiel nodded as he looked around for the utensils, "We begin with greasing the pan using vegetable shortening first" He said this knowing, but having no clue to where the tools are. The old man pulled out a pan and a bottle of liquid. Zeke felt slightly embarrassed but began the work nevertheless. |

The light wizard had noticed that his friend, and the old man had went to the back. It seemed like they were ready to start baking some cakes. That was good because there were only a few cakes around here. He hope nobody picky came. It would be annoying to get there thing read. He was just relax as he just stood standing there. He was going to have to be here for a while. Well he was okay with this as he was use to doing nothing. That was his life style after all, and it was kind of normal, and great for him. He looked around, and noticed that there was nobody around here. There didn't seemed like anybody would come anytime soon. He just decided to put his music on. It was the best thing for him to do, so the time could go by. Yuurei just turned on his music, and just began to listen to his music. Yuurei had put the volume up, and was bumping his head back and forth to his music. It was good that he could do this in his job. Nobody would bother him if he got the stuff done when it needed to be done with. It was early in the morning, and he wonder who would come for a cake. Well he was about to find out soon enough, and he knew it. He was thinking about it a little nit too much, so he knew that someone would come through these doors. That was good because he it meant he was able to do some work. Still he noticed that nobody had came through the doors, and he sighed. That wasn't fair at all. He thought jinxing it would work, but it seemed like that wasn't the case. Yuurei just looked around, and wonder how it was going for Ezekiel in the back. It must have been tough for him, or not. The light wizard just sighed again. "This is the easiest part of the job, but its so boring man. Someone needs to hurry up, and come," he said as he looked at the door. That was when it opened slowly, and he noticed a woman coming inside. He smiled at the woman, and just lowered his music as he watched her coming closer to him. "Hi there how can I help you this lovely morning?" he asked her as he watched her moving her head around trying to figure out what she wanted. He just smiled because she was pretty with long brown hair, and perfect shape body. She turned her attention towards Yuurei, and smiled at him. He could see that she fluster a bit, and it seemed like she finally figured out what she wanted to get. That was good because he was able to sell something now. "Well hi there. I was looking at the cakes you have, and I was wondering if you can sell me that cherry cake you guys have in the display," she asked him waiting for him to say something. Yuurei moved over to where she was looking at, and then looked at the cake. It seemed like they did have cherry cake, and he noticed the price. to it. That was a good price, and he just took the cake out, and put over the counter waiting for her to take out the money that she needed to get the cake for. He just smiled as he saw the money coming his way, and he placed it in the register. He quickly took out her change from what was left, and handed her the jewels. He packed up the cake after that, and handed it to her without a problem. "Have a nice day, and might I ask who is that cake for?" he asked trying to make conversation with her. "Its for my friend's surprised birthday party. Its her favorite kind of cake, so I decided to get it for her," she said with a smile on her face. "Well have a nice day, and your friend is lucky to have you," he said with a smile on his face. She blushed a bit, and smile again at him. "Thank you, and have a nice day as well," she said as she began to walk out the shop. He smiled and he was glad that he was able to do something here. It would be annoying if he would just stand there the whole time. |

"And now into the oven" The old man and Zeke had finished preparing the carrot cake. The barrier wizard plopped the pan into the oven. "So how long do we have to wait?" Zeke patted his hands as if he had completed a full day's work. "Let that bake for an hour, but while it bakes, we continue the list" the old man pulled the list out from his pocket, "Next on the list is a red velvet cheesecake; this will be a bit more difficult". Zeke sighed; not only that he had to continue to prepare cakes without rest, but he has to ready a cheesecake which he knew was almost entirely different from an actual cake. The old man pulled out a bowl of melted butter and a box of graham crackers then looked at Zeke. The barrier wizard returned the look and shrugged, not knowing what to do, "It's not in the book you've given me" He explained, the old man laughed a bit. "Right right, I forgot... first off, break the crackers apart and mix them with the butter" He said. Zeke did as the old man said, then he poured it into the next available pan. The two then began beating a mixture of vanilla, cream cheese, flour, and sugar before pouring it into the pan. After adding the egg yolk, they placed the pan in the other oven, "An hour and a half for that one". "When will the customer need this cake?" Zeke asked, feeling accomplished. "About two days from now; cheesecakes require a full day of cooling down" the old man laughed as he saw Zeke's surprised expression. |

Yuurei was just standing there again. There was nothing to do again, and he was just waiting for more than one customer to just arrive here. There was a lot of cakes here, but he wonder if it was going to last through the whole day. He wasn't sure, and he didn't know how this store really ran. He was just here selling the stuff, and going by the price tags that were on the cakes he sold. The light wizard was just looking around, and he could see how clean this place was. It seemed like the owner had to make sure that this place was not dirty. He couldn't have anything happen to the cake that people bought. It had to be good enough for the cakes to stay in. Yuurei like this shop and knew that he would buy from here. The light wizard was just bumping his head to his music as there were no customers coming. He moved away from the register, and towards the front of the store. He felt like he should have removed the blinds, so people would know its fully open. It was for the best, and he just removed the area, and just continued to look outside now. There were people walking around the area, and it seemed like there were having a good time. Just chatting with each other, and going out on dates. He wished he could do that right now with someone, but he was stuck on doing this. It was funny, but it was kind of annoying at the same time. He wouldn't think that he would be going on so many missions like he was right now. The light wizard saw two different people coming his way. They were approaching the store in two different directions, and he smiled. This place seemed to be a really known area. That was good, and he moved away from the window, and towards the register again. Yuurei just smiled as he saw the door opening. He lowered his music again, and just waited for one of the two people who came in to approach him. He just looked at them, while they were just looking around again. It was weird to see people do this, but he knew that it was something that everybody did. The light wizard just looked to the back and wonder if his friend was having a mess with the cakes he needed to prepare. Yuurei turned his head to see what the customers were doing, and one was in his face. He backed up as it kind of freaked him out to see someone do that to him. It seemed like he was was ready to get something right now. Yuurei just smiled at him, and wonder what he wanted. "Hi there how can I help you today?" he asked waiting for the person to reply to him. The person smiled at him, and just chuckled when he heard him. "I'm guess your new to the job because I never seen you before, but I would like a chocolate cake please," he said waiting for Yuurei to give him what he asked for. He was wondering why he took so long to decide on that. It was a basic cake, and he took awhile to figure that out. He sighed because he figured that this guy was just trying to look for something new, and decided to go the old fashion way. Yuurei just moved towards the cake, and took the it out of its container, and moved it towards the counter. He looked at the man waiting for the jewels, and he saw him taking it out. It seemed like he was a regular here as he took the right amount of money with no change. He put the money inside the register, and then bagged the cake for the man. The man took the bag and waved at Yuurei as he moved towards the exit of the door. Yuurei just smiled and waved back at him, and when he exit he sighed. This was a boring job, and Ezekiel was looking at he didn't have to do such a job. He hope it would go like this though because if it went any faster than things would be hectic for him. He just looked at the woman who was still here. It seemed like she couldn't figure out what she wanted right now. |

"And now we will prepare a chocolate cake" The old man pulled out a metallic container that read 'Mocha' on the front, "It's the same way as the first cake you readied, just add a couple of scoops of mocha. "Such an entirely different cake with only one ingredient to make it different" Zeke noted as he made the mixture and added the mocha. Then he poured the batter into the pan and placed it in the over. "Indeed, a small ingredient could change everything" The old man agreed, "Anyway, let us take a moment and wait for the first cake to bake" he sighed with relief. He looked over to Zeke to find him already diving into a cookbook. He seemed well dedicated and in reality, he was. After a few minutes, Zeke heard the 'ding' of the timer and pulled out the initial cake; it looked plain, "Of course it's plain, you didn't add the frosting on it" The old man said as he handed Zeke the utensil with a opening at the end of it. He squeezed and white frosting came out. After a moment of decoration, Zeke finished the cake with his very own design, "Um... I've seen worse" The old man tried to make the barrier wizard feel better, seeing as his calligraphy was horrible. Truthfully, his handwriting was amazing, just not so well with cakes. After another few minutes, the cheesecake was done. They've placed it on a nearby rack to cooldown, the old man stated after it had cooled down, it should be placed in the fridge for a full day. Now that only one came was being baked, they returned to making more. |

Yuurei was just staring at the girl. It seemed like she was into what she wanted to buy. She was looking around the whole shop. He chuckled because she seemed like she didn't know what to buy. He could watch her all day, and find what she was doing. It was interesting to see someone not immediately pick something. He like when people came in and took their time looking for what they wanted. He knew that this was probably for someone important if she was trying to figure out what was the best pick. He didn't mind that, and just stood standing there wondering if she would need his help. It seemed like those two were having a good time in the back. That was cool because he was glad that he gave his friend that mission to do. Yuurei didn't want him to stand here all day. It would be annoying, and he knew he was a book fanatic. Learning how to bake was best for him. He just noticed that the woman looked at him, and he blushed when he saw the sudden stare coming from her. Yuurei smiled nervously as he was just staring back at her. He wonder what she was going to say to him. He noticed a smile coming from her, and he chuckled a bit. He thought she was going to tell him what the hell he was looking at or something. He thought wrong because she wasn't going to do that. Instead he watched her walk towards him with a smile on her face. He figured that she had finally figured out what she wanted after about twenty to thirty minutes of staring into the cakes. "Hi there how can I help you today?" he said as he wonder what she was going to say. She giggled when she heard this because it seemed like this guy was a gentlemen. He just blushed a bit, and just stood there waiting for the woman to say something to him. "Hi there I was just looking at all the cakes here, and I just can't seem to pick which one I want. They all seemed great, and they seemed like they would just be great for tonight's event," she said wondering what was his preference. Yuurei just wonder why she was asking him this, but it was probably because he was working here. Well that was okay, and he just looked around. There was the banana cake that he love. It had a really unique taste to it. There were others though, and he wonder if she would really want to take that. "I recommend the banana cake. Its really good, and its great in my taste," he said with a smile on his face as he was grateful to be of some help. The woman smiled as she nodded in agreement with him. That was a good cake to get right now. "I will take that banana cake you recommended. It sounds like a great cake for everyone to eat. I'm having a get together, so it would be good that they would all like it," she said. He was happy that he picked something for someone, and got the banana cake that was in display. He took the cake, and began to wrap it up without a problem for her. He noticed that she was taking out money for him, and that was good. Yuurei just finished wrapping the cake, and slid it over to her. She had given him the jewels, and when he went to get the change she said something. "You can keep the change sir. I really have to be going. Thanks for the help, and have a nice day," she said with a smile on her face as she took a hold of the cake. She began to walk away from him, and towards the exit of the shop. Yuurei chuckled as he took the jewels, and put the money inside of the register. He was glad he was able to make some more money on the cake that it was actually worth. The light wizard just cracked his knuckles as this was kind of easy. There was nothing to do here, but get these cakes out for these people. There was also the fact that he had to get them their change, but some of them didn't even want it. He just looked around, and was looking at the time. They had been here for awhile, which wasn't a problem to him. |

"Banana cake" The old man announced as if he were merely speaking a term while Zeke just spat out cakes like he was made of cake batter. Ezekiel skimmed through the pages of the book before pulling out a fresh set of bananas, peeling them, slicing them up into pieces and was nearly thrown into the bowl of batter until the old man stopped him, "Hold!" Zeke hesitated, "Think about it boy; I know the book says slice them into pieces, but wouldn't you think mashing them would be more affective?" "Correct; if I mash them, then the entire cake will be banana flavored rather than certain points" The two nodded to one another. Zeke mashed the bananas and poured it into the mix; stirred, then into the pan. The timer went off, it was time to pull out the chocolate cake. "Aye, I got that one, you don't have to worry, just get the banana cake ready" The old man went over to the oven to do what he said. The two have been working constantly preparing, baking, and putting away cakes of different kinds, most just one or two layers, while others had three or four, "Can they get any bigger?" Zeke asked, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow. "But of course, lad, have you ever seen a wedding cake?" the old man laughed. Zeke wanted to laugh but then thought about the list that was in the old man's pocket; he prayed to the light that a wedding cake wasn't on the list. |

Yuurei was just standing there behind the counter. There was nothing else to do but wait for other to arrive here. He wasn't sure if there wasn't going to be more customers here. That was probably because it was morning time, and he would have to wait for the afternoon. That was normal, and just stood there listening to his music. Yes it was the best thing he could do right now, and it was not like he was going to start practicing his magic in this store. He felt like he would probably destroy this place down. The light wizard was just listening to his music, and figured that more people would come eventually. He knew that this shop was very known because of the weird people that came into the shop. They knew what they wanted as if they had been here before. It was good though because he didn't want to be in a shop that wasn't known. He would just be upset if he didn't get to sell anything to anybody. Now he was just waiting for it to hit the afternoon, so more people would come here, and he could sell more cakes. There was not a lot of cakes here, but it was more than enough for a day. It was why he had Ezekiel making a new batch of cakes. Yuurei was just standing there because he knew he was happy to give his friend the other job. The light wizard looked at the time, and noticed that it was noon already. His face creased because he wonder where the people were at. This was insane, and he wonder if nobody was going to come today. That was going to suck because this place should be known if they had a job request for it. That was when he saw another customer come in. It was all because of the door opening. He lowered his music, and noticed that the person was just looking around the area. It seemed like he was into what he trying to get. That was good, and he noticed that another person had came into the shop. That was good, and he smiled. More people were coming, and he was able to sell a lot of the cakes that were there. Yuurei was just hoping that more people would come in as well. It would give him something to look at, and then on top of that he would be able to be occupied with selling things. That was when Yuurei noticed another four people came in. These people looked like they were together though, which meant that he was only getting a sell fore one person. He figured that they were all there because they wanted to pick something out together. That was nice, and he just sighed as he looked around to see if anybody needed his help. Yuurei just noticed the guy that came here first, noticed the amount of people that were here as well. He just chuckled to see the man's reaction as he quickly came towards him. The light wizard figured that he wasn't in the mood to end up waiting in a line when he was the first one here. He was okay with this as he watched the man approaching him without hesitation. "Good afternoon sir, how can I help you?" he asked wondering what he was going to say to him. The man smiled at Yuurei, and the man did the same thing. "Hi there I was looking around, and I wasn't able to see any red velvet cakes. I'm sure you guys have that, but I must be blind. Please tell me you guys have it because it's the only way I could make it up to my wife. I got her angry because of my selfishness, and I want to make it up to her. This is the best way I know how. She loves this cake," he said to Yuurei waiting for him to say something. The light wizard smiled and looked around to see if he missed a place. There must have been that cake around here. It would be bad if there wasn't because it just meant that they lost a customer. Yuurei just looked in the back, and noticed that there was one more left. He chuckled as this man must have been lucky to be on time for this cake. He took it out, and moved it towards the counter. "I found the last one, so consider yourself a lucky man," he said with a smile on his face. The man smiled back because he was glad that he was getting this. It would make everything better between him, and his wife. He took out a large amount of jewels, and handed it to Yuurei. "Thank you for the help. I'm happy that there was one I can get. Keep the change because getting the last of this cake is worth it," he said. Yuurei chuckled as he packed the cake for him, and handed it to him as he took the jewels, and placed them in the register. The man walked off, and he wonder who would be the ones to come next. The girl was either going to come, or take a while to figure out what she wanted. The group of people had a faster time to think, and come up with something. There were more people, and a lot of ideas coming from them. He just whistled a tune since he didn't want to put his music on right now. There were people in the store, and if they call out to him, he would want to hear what they said. |

"And now for the wedding cake" And there it was. The old man pointed out that a young couple are planned to be married soon and they ordered a cake that should be ten layers. "Ten!?" Zeke was surprised; this was his first day baking and now he had to pull out all the stops. "Is that a problem?" the old man asked. Zeke shook his head. Within his mind, the barrier wizard cursed, why do youngins have to marry so early? There's a good chance they would get divorce in a few years, it's in the statistics for young folk his age. They began. To cut time down, they pulled out ten separate bowls to pour the mixture in, they all differed in size so in the end they all would stack up like a circular pyramid. During the time this was happening, Zeke had to quickly pull out the remaining cakes that were left in the oven. After the ten layers were placed in pans and into the oven, the old man gave the suggestion that they should place the icing on the previous cakes. Zeke tried his best to ice the top of the banana cake, but his designs were horrid. After looking at this, the old man sent Zeke to clean the already used bowls. "So how many more cakes do we have to go through?" Zeke prayed it wasn't much. "Pumpkin, Red Velvet, Chocolate Moose, Blueberry, blackberry, another cheesecake and several others" The old man called out from the distance. Zeke's jaw fell. The old man didn't need to look back and see the wizard's face, the silence was enough, 'Don't worry, if we don't finish them all, then I'll take care of the rest tomorrow". For a moment, Zeke felt bad. |
