Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Max chuckled as Zak asked, "why is there a cherry on my plate?" Zak obviously wasn't from a large town and was, so far, not succeeding in not being noticed. There was something to mixing business with pleasure, but most people couldn't keep the relationships going.

Max slowly sipped his coffee as Zak seemed flustered. He wondered if he knew about the note on the bottom of the plate, but did not bother to mention it to him. If things were meant to be, he would figure out her meaning. He split his croissant with his butter knife and put a thin layer of jam on it. Max smiled as zak picked at his muffin. This store was the palce to gather information on what the rich were doing.

The atmosphere in the store was lively and Max listened. He heard that there was a gathering of pottery collectors in town and that they were going around to various shops looking for pattery to buy. He also heard that there was going to be an auction. "I must investigate that auction," he thought to himself. "Depending on the cut, I might be able to sell some pots." He would have to ask Zak if he noticed teh conversations going on around him.

Zak began eating the muffin, savoring the flavor as it was one of his favorites. His father used to make it once every 3 months or so, thus he didn't get the chance to have it that often. He kept his eyes on the cherry, wondering exactly why it was there and what it could mean. Perhaps the girl thought he was as sweet as a cherry? No.. that couldn't be it, thought Zak to himself as he blushed again. However, it appeared as if it wasn't the time for eating as Mr. P spoke up.

"I must investigate that auction." Zak had also heard all the discussions going on around them, even if it was a tad rude to invade on something that wasn't even his business. It was interesting, and in fact, the term pottery and ceramics were commonly thrown into the conversation. He heard someone say an "...hour until..." so perhaps that's the amount of time Zak and Mr. P had to determine where the event was to be held and what was being sold. He nodded his head as he knew what Mr. P was exactly thinking, gently placing the half-eaten muffin back on the plate.

"Well.. Do you think it'd be for the best to head down there before it starts so that we can scout out the place?" He seemed to be picking up on the scheme-filled mind of Mr. P, though the man himself was still a mystery. We might be able to get quite a lot done if we get there in time... not that I'm worried about it or anything. Zak didn't want to admit his interest in the plan, as it did excite him a bit with the adrenaline rush, but it was still wrong. Then again, he couldn't say no so he was trying to move things along quickly, hoping the man wouldn't notice.

Max also heard the phrase "hour until," and he knew it was too late to gather more pottery. He continued to listen to the partial conversations that peaked over the general noise level. When they were done with their food, Max signaled for the bill and waited patiently as Antionette came over with their bill. She took away their plates, exposing the note thay was under Zak's plate. Max took out a wad of Jewels and placed two 1000 jewel notes on the tray.

Max looked at Zak and softly said, "I have a feeling that her number is on that note in front of you and that she wants to have a private rondevous with you. I suggest you take it."

'Well.. Do you think it'd be for the best to head down there before it starts so that we can scout out the place?" he heard Zak ask.

"Yes, we will follow the money to where it leads."

Max scanned the room as a couple of men dressed in business suits stood up and headed for the door. "That's our cue to leave," Max said softly as he stood up, picked up his vase, and walked towards the door. When Max and Zak reached the door, he saw the men round the corner to the right, so that was the direction they headed. The men were still taking about the auction and the rules they had to follow. Max overheard them talking about how they each needed a quality example of pottery with a market value of at least 200,000 jewles to auction off and the association took a 40% cut of any auctioned price that exceeded market value. He also overheard that there was going to be an authenticator expert to verify that the object was up to their quality standards.

Max whispered to Zak, "when we get to the auction site, we'll keep walking forward so we look like two people on our way to another destination."

"How do I look?"
Instantly, his eyes opened wide, “What note?” His face turned a slight shade of pink at the mention of having a girl’s number given to him, but even more so when Mr. P suggested that she wanted to meet the boy in private. He hadn’t been paying attention when Antionette had walked over to the table, but he looked at the table again for this supposed note since the table had little to nothing on it other than the previous plates and drinks were being picked up, but it wasn’t in there. However, as he looked up at the items the waitress was lifting, he saw the note and he found that there was a good to honest note attached to the bottom of it. She giggled at the boy’s irrationally cute reaction, but Zak didn’t even notice that she had purposely picked up the plate slowly to catch his attention.

His face had nearly turned to a bright red as he read the note, even if it didn’t have much on it. It had her number, as Mr. P had said, but it also had her name signed artistically on the bottom. He read over it a few times and quickly hid it from sight when he realized that Antionette was standing right next to him. She winked at him once again, whispering silently to him, “Call me.” She gave a warm smile to the two customers and moved on once Mr. P placed 2,000 jewels on the tray that she was carrying. Zak was struggling to hide the ever expanding smile on his face, but it wasn’t nearly enough effort to hide his embarrassment and enjoyment of the girl’s flirtation.

“That’s our cue to leave.” Mr. P had rose from his chair as well as the group of men that were discussing the ceramics and pottery auction earlier, but they were already walking out of the door. “Are we going to follow them?” Zak’s flushed face was returning to its original hue, but the smile hadn’t, “I didn’t hear them say where it would be held at.” His question was answered as the man picked up his vase from earlier and exited the business, Zak following quickly after, as he kept his eye on the party that had just left. “When we get to the auction site, we’ll keep walking forward…” He nodded his head to confirm that he had heard him, as it wouldn’t be smart for the two to be seen together beforehand at the auction beforehand. I can’t believe it.. I’m even thinking like a criminal…”

Max and Zak follwed the men in the suits as they visited a couple of stores. Whenever they got too close to the men, Max would had the pot to Zak and motion for Zak to stay back while Max went forward. He looked at the pottery in the stores that the men went to but did not buy anything. When the men left, Max would go back to Zak and then they would follow the men again.

After five stores, two of the six men had purchased pots and, to Max's amazement, they paid retail price for their pottery. These men had money to burn and were not afraid of sending that type of money. In the sixth store, nobody bought anything.

When Max returned to Zak, he shared his observation. "So these men are truly loaded. They're paying full price for thier vases. I can tell that they are used to looking at pottery because they only stop at ones where they are even remotely intested in buying and they stop at less than 1% of the pottery in the store. There aren't that many more stores left in town so we may be doubling back." Just then two young girls in short shorts whizzed by on thier bicycles. They let out cat calls as they passed by Zak. Max chucled as Zak turned beet red. "You're turning out to be the attention getter, eh?"

Zak kept a steady pace with Mr. P once he caught up to him, but still wasn’t sure what the plan would be, “Umm… What should I do?” He may have listened in on their conversation and picked up on the clues that they had to leave immediately to do the dastardly deed; Zak didn’t have the criminal mind that told him how to approach the situation. All he knew is that they were on their way to the auction, where they would find the treasures that Mr. P wanted, then they would commence with the plan and make their escape. However, ”What happens in between those key events?”

After some time that they spent walking in pursuit of the group of men, they approached a few pottery stores and their target had entered one of them. Mr. P handed the vase from earlier to Zak, informing him to stay back and out of sight until he returned, and stepped into the store himself. Waiting patiently and unknowing of what was going on inside, he was relieved to see that Mr. P walked out without any other pots. Perhaps they wouldn’t be committing any more devious… thefts as Zak would consider it. It wasn’t necessarily against the law to do such, but it sure was going against the conscious laws that he had.

As he approached Mr. P, he wanted to ask, ”Why did you go in?” However, it seemed to be a hopeless request as the man was moving quickly on his feet to keep up with the group. They went through not only a few stores, but half a dozen by the time it was all said and done. Repeating the process of Zak waiting as Mr. P walked in to investigate, all Zak knew was that two members of the group had bought a pair of pots, but nothing more. However, Mr. P seemed rather intrigued by the turn of events as he walked out of the final pitstop, mentioning that these men were loaded with cash and only bought the very best of the best vases.

Two young girls, quite near Zak’s age, give or take a year, slowly sped by on their bicycles. They noticed Zak in their peripherals and smiled, meowing at him in a cute little flirting gesture. He blushed as they giggled at his reaction and blew a raspberry as they went on their way. Mr. P had seen it all play out and teased at the young boy, “You’re turning out to be the attention getter, eh?” Becoming more flustered and red in the face, he scratched his head, “I… I guess you could say that.” He was quite embarrassed by the attraction that he’s been receiving since the restaurant, but wasn’t going to deny the fact that it was quite nice to be in that position.

Alt Ending for Grading Purposes

Though, what would happen if he kept this attention on him during Mr. P's devious little scam? It wasn't as if Zak had wanted to do this; he knew it was wrong and the thought of stealing money from these store owners was a heavy burden on his shoulders. The only reason he had accepted this offer at first was to pay his hero, which turned out to be nothing more than a villianous crook, for saving his hide back at the flower shop. Zak may not have had the money to pay off the debt he would owe to the store owner, but he would much rather be honest and work for the store owner, paying him back with hard labor. He knew that the time was approaching when he would have to commit such a hideous crime again and he had to escape before it happened.

Luckily for Zak, Mr. P wasn't keeping too much attention on the small boy, as the group in front of them was hastily walking towards their next location. However, trying to run at this point would be futile; he had to find the perfect time when Mr. P was distracted most and there was only one time when his defenses would be facing another direction. He would have to wait until the man in front of him followed the group of wealthy gentlemen into another pottery store, though the plan could easily go wrong if the older man decided the next location would be where Zak would be useful. It was a risk, that was for certain, but it was easy to tell that this plan was ultimately the best way for Zak to run.

It wasn't long before Zak saw the herd of moneybags making their way into a small entrance one at a time and he knew that Mr. P was going to be stealthily sneaking in as well, this would be the only opportunity he had to make it out while he still can. He waited until Mr. P would repeat the same step by step process of handing Zak the vase and immediately going inside to do whatever he did, seeing as the boy had never seen exactly why he went in by himself. It was a only a matter of time before the man would make his way into the building and, as if on cue, Zak placed the pottery down on the ground and made a beeline the moment the theoretical theif was out of his line of sight.

He ran as fast as his little legs could, for he didn't know the true power or potential that the scary man had. He made his way past the shops and restaurant that he had previously ate at, but the guilt that built up inside of him was a bit too strong for him to simply ignore. Zak was a kind-hearted fellow that couldn't bear the thought of the loss the store owner probably went through so rather than simply running from his problems, he took a detour from his previous direction. Within minutes, the first pottery shop that Zak and they mysterious man had met at was right in front of him, otherwise known as Hip Hip Pottery. It was the first time he noticed the cheesy name, but he walked inside with his heart at ease and mind determined. He had to justify his wrongs and upon entering the store, he searched for the owner and told him the truth, "Sorry, sir... If I can, I'd like to help you out to make up for the vase. Honestly, it was all my fault..."
