It was a sunny peaceful day for Ivy and Tale. It was also their second hunt for the next Shen-Gon-Wu. Being in the cave of Sanzibar Desert, it was revealed that the next Shen-Gon-Wu was located...here. Tully Village. "Home of the Ancients" is what Ivy calls it. "Well Tale.." Ivy began. "Looks like this is the place..." she said with a tone of disgust. Ivy didn't really like old people. They're grumpy, needy, always smell like soap, boring and most of all...old... Ivy began to think that if the old people found out she could create plants, they would force her to make tea leaves... "I don't really like this town..." she said, faintly trying to pull up a smile. Not wanting to accept the fact that the next Shen-Gon-Wu is here, Ivy reached into her kimono and pulled out the ancient magical map. "Lemme check again." she said. The map was literally a map of Fiore and was zoomed right where Tully Village resides. Ivy quickly gave up trying to see if where they were was the right place and put the map away. "Why would a ancient magical item be here?..." Ivy argued. She looked around and noticed the many small houses and old couples rocking in their rocking chair. "Anyway Tale, we can start by asking questions to the locals." she suggested. "Remember, were looking for a comb...of some sort..." she added. |

The blue sky was dotted with warm fluffy clouds. The sun shone cheerfully overhead. It was perfect, Tale swore she heard birds singing nearby. She walked peacefully next to her friend, Ivy who was mumbling about something. They were in Tully Village, and old people were everywhere, grumbling about back pains and what not. In all truth, Tale didn't mind old people that much, as long as they weren't all, 'when I was young' and stuff. Ivy on the other hand, seemed to flat out dislike them. She watched Ivy pull a map out of her kimiko. "Kimikos have pockets?" Tale mumbled to herself. She patiently listened to Ivy explain about the item. "Any other details, 'comb' is pretty vague." They passed a old yellow house, where a couple sat happily together. One of them was knitting, what seemed to be a sweater, the other watering bright purple Irises. Another house had two old ladies having a tea party Several other men were playing cards. Tale couldn't see any children around. "First time here, and it kind of feels like we've went back in time." Tale told Ivy. At the end of the street, lay a giant white mansion. "Maybe we should start there? Rich people always seem to acquire magical items." she suggested. 'And those that do, especially old people, seem extremely clingy' Tale thought. Edited by RoyaiChaos, Oct 29 2012, 11:06 PM.

Speaking of old people... There was a certain old man who had just entered the town, hobbling along on a worn cane and even more worn sandals. His hat obscured his face, his ancient brown cloak hid his body; it was difficult to distinguish any particular trait about him as he was. The things with him, though, were an entire other story... There was a small puppy walking next to him, a little green canine with leaves for ears and a tail, wandering around the old man and sniffing at whatever caught his fancy, but inevitably returning to his master. On top of the man's hat sat four puny little blob-like critters, red, blue, green, and orange, who were clinging on to the hat tightly while chattering to each other in some incomprehensible language. Stopping in the middle of the road, the old man took a look around the place, noticing all of the old people and architecture. "Ahhh, this looks like a perfect place for one to sit down and have a cup of tea, doesn't it, Cha?" the old man said softly, to which the puppy beside him yapped in merriment. "I could fall asleep right here and now if I wanted to. But, come along now - we have places to go and things to see, Cha. Forwards!" With that, he continued his travels at turtle-pace. |

After pulling out Ivy's map from her kimono, she seemed to overhear Tale's remark about Kimono's having pockets. "My kimono is specially made." she informed. "-and thats seems to be all we know so far about this comb. But we do know what it looks like..." she said, giving Tale one quick glance at the picture before folding the map back. After putting the map back away, Ivy furrowed a brow as she listened to Tale's commentary about going back in time. "Yeah...Back in time to the stone age..." she mumbled... Tale then brought to their attention of a large white mansion at the end of the street. A large rigidity sign with big black letters read: Tully Village Nursing Home. "A nursing home? I thought the whole town was the nursing home?" she said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. "Anyway, we should check it out." she suggested by making her way, hoping Tale would follow behind. As she entered the building, she noticed the room was filled with lighting, chairs, and tea tables. A little old lady sat at a front desk. She was of course wrinkly, about as tall as Ivy, had grey hair and large oval glasses. She greeted Ivy with a warm smile. "My, my, if it isn't a cute little girly!~"she smiled. Her wrinkled mouth was kinda gross as her false teeth were obvious to notice. Suddenly, the elderly woman jumped from her chair, and walked over to Ivy. As Ivy examined her not sitting down, she was maybe about 4'6". The woman reached out and pinched Ivy's cheeks with her bony cold fingers. "Aren't you just the sweetest!" she cheered. "Ow! Ow! Lady!" she yelled, swatting the woman's hand away from her. |

Tale barely had time to see the comb before it disappeared. She had really just met Ivy, but she could already tell the girl wanted to finish this part of the adventure quickly. She wondered why Ivy hated old people, just than an old man yelled at the two something intelligible. She sighed, the elderly were annoying, and it was sometimes hard to like them, but Tale also found it hard to hate them. They were just so harmless. Tale marched forwards. Ivy was slowly sulking forwards, so Tale was forced to slow down as well. Though the day was perfect, the storm cloud that hung above Ivy's head, made Tale feel slightly depressed. She decided to cheer her friend up by telling her a funny thing that had occurred during their journey to Tully. "So-" Tale was interrupted by a loud bang. A frying pan sailed out of an open door, and nailed her in the head. "Stop yapping, we're trying to sleep here" an old woman wearing pajamas yelled at her. Tale was starting to understand why Ivy hated old people so much. She got up resisted the urge to chuck the pan, and ran up to Ivy, who had walked ahead. The duo entered the nursing home. While Ivy talked to an old lady, she walked around and looked at the few old people that were resting. A particular old lady wearing a long silk dress, and was obviously once beautiful caught her eye. Though her beauty had faded, she still managed to outshine the other ladies she was chatting with. Tale went up to her and cheerfully asked "Do you happen to have a certain comb, that me and my friends are looking for." Edited by RoyaiChaos, Nov 2 2012, 10:49 PM.

As it turned out, Xin ended up sitting on a wooden bench right in front of some random large white mansion; of course he couldn't read Fiorean, and therefore had no idea what kind of a building it was. The presence of a bench was welcome though, and looking around, he easily noticed why they had it there. All about him, the people were somewhere around his age or even older, wizened and backbent men and women who hobbled even slower than him, and talked even more tamely than he did. "Good heavens," the old man softly said to himself, "What kind of a place is this? I feel like I've entered a haunted town or an infirmary..." his voice trailed off, as the old man began people-watching. With a swift sweep of the arm, Xin picked up the four sprites on his hat, and dropped them off onto the tea leaf puppy's head where the dog was excitedly waiting. "I know, I know, Cha. You want to explore this quaint little place, don't you?" He said, taking out a small scroll and tying it onto the puppy's back. "Well, go ahead all you want now - if you get in trouble, don't forget to bark, but the scroll should protect you, you hear?" With that, the old man patted the dog on the back, and the puppy ran off yapping like a little maniac. It was kind of funny, though - the puppy quickly quieted down after almost getting headshotted by an iron, but somehow within moments ended up in the Tully Village Nursing Home, sniffing around the area for anything interesting. |
