JD is on his way to the Central Fiore but with a strange occurrence of bad weather, the transportation caravan that would take him to the next stop before heading to the guild that he had recently joined, Quatro Cerberus, was forced to take a detour which then took them to the village called Tully. Its not far from the guild house and in case one's planning to travel by foot, it might take them half of a day but since the weather is kinda grumpy, it might take longer. JD plans to formally announce and introduce himself to the guild and his guild mates as he just happened to stayed there rather quickly the first time as a part of new recruits. After getting a stamp of the guild, they were immediately taken to other parts of the kingdom for a reason he does not know. Though he thinks it was some kind of test like what a trainer do to his dog but will eventually get back home several days after... wait, that's probably with cats. Either way, he's thinking somewhere similar to that and right now, he has no choice but to stay. So yeah, JD's on Tully Village. He does not know how long he would stay around or how will the bad weather will subside. It was like all sort of weather decided to travel and pass by one another on this spot. Tully village was some kind of center point so its not that hard to imagine that it would happen. Anyways, without doing anything, JD decided to take a walk. It sure is windy and on his way towards a nearby inn for weary travelers, he would see this billboard posted on the plaza of the town. It was a mission board for mages and that there's poster requesting for mage's service. "Lost Key... Repair... Errands...Train... hmmmm this stuffs might take long...", he reads every posted request on the board trying to look if there's a request that will not take that long. About less than a day long. He wonders what mission he might take as a member of Quatro Cerberus and not long after, he ended up choosing the mission asking to train a dog. "Ah! Dog whisperer.", he confidently exclaimed at last. He sure is confident since he likes wolves the most. There's a connection. Dogs would be easier ad as easy as it seem, he tear it and went to the residence who posted the request. Edited by Flynn, Oct 19 2012, 07:08 PM.

The area of Tully village was full of- old people. Many of whoom would give JD a strange look as he walked by like the kind of look your grandparent would give you for wearing something that looked like a lion had clawed at it. They would not bother the mage though as he had a mission to do- one of many surely but they were necessary none the less. JD's travels would bring him through the village of Tully until he found himself at the front gate of what looked like a giant mansion! As soon as the mage passed within six feet of the gate- a red ruby would begin to glow and would emit a beam which followed JD no matter how quick he was. This was not a threatening beam, and thus it would not hurt the mage at all. It would feel like a good warm- like you were lying out under the sun at the beach! The ruby on the gate would glow brighter and brighter before it emitted a warm pulse which would envelop JD and teleport him in front of a fireplace which was roaring at full blaze despite the fact that it was daytime out. Speaking of the time though, it was pitch dark in the room besides for the fire! The man sitting in the chair was silhouetted by the fire yet tool notice of the newcomer. "Who are you?" he asked with a curious voice- he must have not recognized the mage in the dark. |

Surely, Tully Village is full of old people. Aside from the daily travelers making their stops, there's almost no youth around. As for JD, he's one of the youths around at the moment, he does not feel anything in particular even though it was like he's being criticizes by the seasoned and experienced eyes of the elderly. He did wonder what are the things he'd be doing while he's still having that youthfulness, though. Perhaps, this would be one as he's first mission ever taken as a mage. Not as a arms for hire or random encounters but as a mage. And before he could even end the stuffs inside his head, he already reached his destination. A large manor. A mansion with a huge towering gate. "Whoa!", surely, he won't be the only one to be amazed when they see such huge residence for the first time but that's only it. JD's been there for only a couple of seconds and not long after, a stone emitted a light as if it was some kind of alarm. JD does not know it and his initial reaction is to block the light with his hand so to retain having a sight. He has no idea what it is or if it turned out to be a heat seeking weapon, he'd be dead already. Thankfully not. Even if it was following JD's movement, it did not shoot any weapons. He tried to reach for it but halfway through, he vanished from the very spot he was at. It was only for split second and from the spot where he is, from the outside of the mansion, JD happened to get into a pitch black place with nothing but a large fire place. His eyes may not adjusted well but with the light, he happened to immediately note his surrounding and before he could draw any weapon for a defensive purpose, a man spoke. He was asking about JD's identity but same case with JD, too. "Who are you? Where I am?", JD asked back not because he's simply a rude person but because he does not know what had just happen. "Am I inside the mansion? Or somewhere around it?", he adds but its still a question, though. "My name's JD Kristi. I'm a mage. A mage of Quatro Cerberus. Where am I?", he might appear to be clueless with whatever he's saying be he got a hunch that he got taken inside the mansion. |

JD was perceptive and smart, he was indeed inside of the mansion- and as one could see cracks of light under the closed window's it wasn't all that far away from where the main gate was standing. Swiveling around in his grand armchair, the old man faced the mage in the silhouette of the fireplace to get a better look at him despite the complications of his entry. It took a good couple of minutes for the rationale to come together inside of hi head but a relieved smile overtook the man's face as he realized the miscommunication and mistake. Relaxing in his chair slightly as he realized that he wasn't being robbed or anything of the sort- he pressed a small unnoticeable button on his armchair which caused the windows to roll up and let ight pour into the mansion so that it could be marveled by anyone fortunate or high enough o enter it. The place was the creme de la creme for certain as it was adorned with marble floorings and various statues and paintings to give it a much more classical and sophisticated kind of look. Smiling a toothy yet tired grin, the old man grabbed his cane and walked over to JD who began assaulting him with questions about what was going on. "Ehh, yes boy you are in my home- forgive me for the sudden teleportation with the lacrima-it eh, needs a bit of adjustment" the man said before looking into JD's eyes. "A mage eh? Why i used to be a mage for Blue Peguasus before i retired, i was an A rank in fact- but thats all over now eh? Still its quite riveting to see the youth carrying on the tradition of magic" the old man said with a smile before looking over at a picture on the wall with him and the head of what looked like a dog. "Ah yes, Lucy the dog's mother died a few years ago and I'm to old to potty train the poor thing- so I'm going to need you to do it for me. I myself need to go soon so are there any questions about the dog?" the old man asked raising an inquisitive eyebrow. |

Trying to get his vision work properly to a sudden change of surrounding, its quite hard to see the man talking considering a distant of couple of meters and the flames of the fireplace as a background without lighting up important details at all, JD moved one of his hands in front of his face as he draw the other one from his weapon. There's no need to be alarmed that much as he try to talk to the person inside concealed within the darkness. Though he's still not sure whether the person he's talking to right now is the client he was looking for. Either way, there's no way to know aside from asking. "Excuse me but...", but before he could continue to ask, small light did start to hit hit JD coming from the window covered with blankets. He did not took a step. He just paused on what's he's going to say at the moment and noticed that there was movements coming from the man's position. An old man on his wheelchair or something perhaps. JD did not trespassed and if asked, he'd honestly tell the old man how he ended in this place but it appears that it was the old man's doing after all. He now took one or two more steps and tries to fix himself to be as presentable as possible. He could easily be described as a rug due to his messed up and somewhat inappropriate thick coat. First impression lasts. He does not want that. "Yes. From Quatro Cerberus. A newbie, sir.", he told the old man. As much as he want to add more things to what he had just said, he intended to make it short thinking that he's here for the job and nothing else. Though, this is not the kind of job where they will be tons of actions. He just nod with a trace of smile as he listened to the old man up until he was asked any particular information about the nature of his job - about the dog he's going to train. "Oh! Yes, sir. Where is he... she?", he asked out of curiosity as to where the dog would be and that whether it was a he or a she. He's not sure. Thankfully its only one. |

The old man seemed to know more than he was letting on somehow- perhaps it was the twinkle in his eye that could tell someone that there was more to this mission than you would expect. For you see the man was waiting for JD to ask him that very one question since he was certain that there was no way he could just train a dog like his to potty trained by normal standards. Thus the old man grabbed his cane which as leaning against the side of his grand armchair and began hobbling down the hobby. "My dog is very... unwilling you see, he doesn't learn very well" the man began as he traversed down the hallway with JD by his side theoretically. "Hiring a teacher by the normal standards was out of the question, my precious dog was simply too simple minded to understand what iw as trying to tell it!" the old man said, calling back over his shoulder as he quickened his pace to a surprisingly fast pace for a man of his age, about sixty five or so it looked like. Finally though the old man stopped at the end of a hallway before pressing a few buttons on a hidden control panel which opened up the door into a secret laboratory which must have doubled as a library since it was chuck full of as many books as one could possibly think of! however run the middle of the lab was a table with the dog sleeping on, next to it? A medium sized magical submarine that the old man was hobbling towards- "So i needed a different way to teach Lilac her most important lesson- thus i used my metal magic to craft a sumbreseable effective enough to swim in tot he dog's brian and hopefully hot-wire the dog to go to the bathroom normally" the old man said before opening up a metla hatch on the side of the submarine, "thats where you come in, I'm too old to use my maid to move this thing- but a fresh and young person such as you should have zero problems! What do you say eh? Ready for a real adventure?" the old man said with a toothy grin before disappearing inside the medium sized submarine which would shrink down when the old man wanted it to do so. |
