Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Max continued to walk away, although not so fast as to lose her.He always stopped every time she fell down. He also slowed his pace as he approached the garmet district in town. The streets in this area tended to be cleaner than some of the others mainly because the merchants demanded that they be cleaned. Max thought he understood. Who would want to buy dirty or dingy clothes?

Max turned around and saw the little girl running up the street towards him, the pie bag swinging in her hand as she ran. He stopped in front of a dainty little store with children's clothes in the windows and on racks by the door. Next to the racks a short lady with a tape measure and a tailor's apron stood watching the people browse her merchandise. She also had a dagger and a jewelpurse with her.

"Begging for forgiveness already?" Max asked the little girl. "Well, I suppose that I should be nice about this. Are you sure you want in on this? Because the rewards of this may not be worth the price. This will take a lot of effort and a lot of luck. It will be dangerous if we fail. I leave it up to you. Are you interested?"

Francis didn't slow as the man slowed, she didn't look back to frightened by the possibility of incarceration. Being locked up was akin to being killed to her, and being killed was quite an unsettling thing to the ten year old. Her bag swung viciously from side to side as she rushed after the man. She caught up to the man and gave him an intense glare as he mocked her, she would curse him with the kids who stole her meat pie.

"No" she said in a voice that could only be described as kitty litter being scattered in the snow. Her big bright blue eyes looked up at the man, and her glare quickly softened up. She was a bit confused by the man's statement she wasn't sure what it was exactly she wanted to be in on, was he asking her, it was only made that much more confusing when she was told it was going to be dangerous. Her life was dangerous, or at least more dangerous than most children, she was accustomed to it. "Uhuh?" she said with a nod of her head and furrowed brow.

"What are we talking about?" she asked with her head cocked as she clung tightly to her meat pie bag, regretting previously giving up the circular dish while her stomach griped her.

Max looked at the little girl and heard her stomach rumble. "Please eat. We wouldn't want to get grease on the merchandice around here," Max said gently. "I will explain as you eat."

The young girl looked at the bag again.

"What I propose to do is to restore the funding to the local orphanage. If the hoards of children are off of the street, then those who cause trouble will be arrested and sent off to wherever they are sent off to. Perhaps a trip to Bosco would do them good. Anyways, what I plan to do is to introduce you as a long lost daughter of Mr. Anker, the dead benefactor of the Orphanage. If I can do this, all I ask is that you restore the funding to the Orphanage. It suits my purposes to have these unruly children off of the street."

Max hoped that this was enough to convince the young girl that he wasn't trying to take advantage of her. Max wasn't used to dealing with children that were so...well...pains in the ass. He reminded himself to make sure that there was a back up plan just in case that this fell through. His goal did lead him in the right direction and the alternative was a sudden upsurge in the population of Bosco. There were plenty of people who would love to "take care" of the unruly ones there, but he didn't want his connections there to cause problems.

"So, shall we do this?"

The man seemed rather apathetic and conniving for someone who she had expected to be a sucker, suckers usually didn't have schemes and such and didn't care if she damaged merchandise.

She soon came to the conclusion he wasn't a sucker.

"What's an orphanage?" the little girl asked. Where she had grown up the concept was completely foreign, children who were poor were discarded with their poor parents, and the need for orphanages had been completely obliterated when the poor class was abolished. She dug in her bag and took out her pie as the man continued on. She nibbled at the edges the crust dripped from her lips leaving bread crumbs on the corners of her lip and a thin layer of grease as well. Her eating habits were not the most sanitary.

She tried to wrap her brain around the concept of whatever an orphanage was and why she had to be someone's daughter to get people arrested. If they were bad they would just be arrested anyway wouldn't they? She looked back the way she came and recalled a certain threat being hurled her way. It seemed like the police were right at her heels even though she knew they weren't present. She had developed a creeping phobia of them, she was still under the impression they were magic and would pop up when you did something wrong, if not you weren't doing something wrong enough.

Max looked at her eyes darting around. "Relax," Max reassured the little girl. "I don't do things without contingency plans." If wouldn't have stopped here unless I was 100% sure that nothing would be coming out of the woodwork that I wouldn't be prepared to deal with. You can call me Mr. P. What shall I call you?"

Max waited until the girl responded. The was going to be hard. She was going to have to learn a lot of material: names, dates, and ettiquitte. Max remembered his own training in ettiquitte, or rather the torture of it. There were days which Max would have sworn that the ladies were demons in disguises. He had survived that ordeal and he knew that all she needed was a lot of time to practice. "Perhaps there is an easier way of doing this," he thought to himself. Either way, Max wanted this one off of the street. Anybody who wandered the streets in a hospital gown needed help.

Max looked at the young girl. "Shall we head into the store or should we just part ways now?"

Francis squinted at the man her question went unanswered but the fears that came from it had been somewhat quelled. She was only confused further by the man's use of big words like contingency, she squinted harder. After a few seconds of pointless attempts of making definitions of words by the use of context, she deemed the definition of contingency to be pretty and nodded her head, she liked the thought of a pretty plan.

"I'm Francis." The girl said while she pouted extending her lower lip a bit as her sentence concluded.

As the crossroad of parting ways or entering the store stood in front of her she turned her head toward the sign post that was the man and then the store itself. "I can't go in there, they will tell me to get jewels and buy stuff, and I don't have any." Her lips twisted and her head went down as she spoke this, despite her temperament and her mentality, it was rather hard for the girl to mask her feelings toward a subject physically or otherwise. She looked down at her hospital gown and took a deep breath, despite it being only a hospital gown it was still the prettiest piece of apparel she had ever owned.

Max chucled as Francis's eyes went wide. He could tell that she wanted new clothes, but wasn't sure on how to pay for them.

"Here's a few moist towelettes. Please wipe the dirt off your your face and arms while I see to getting you in without problems. Please be ready for when i signal. Let me work my 'magic'," Max stated as he walked to the lady in front of the store.

He approached the lady by the racks armed with nothing, but his smile and a handshake. Her had went instinctively to her weapon, but when she realized what he was doing she relaxed.

"Good afternoon," he said shaking her hand. "You have some really pretty dresses out here." He reached out and touched one of the dresses on display. It felt semi-smooth and sturdy. "I have to say that the clothing here is top quality and looks as beautiful as you do. May I inquire how much this lovely garment costs?"

The lady calmed down and blushed a little as Max commented on her beauty. She wasn't bad looking, but she wasn't used to somebody complementing her. "It's 15,000 Jewels," she replied.

"Only 15,000? I would have thought it was worth at least 30,000. I represent a group that is interested in buying a large quantity of clothing; they wish to remain anonymous, of course. I have been instructed to locate quality merchandise for their beneficiary. Here is my card." Max handed her his business card. "I have a young lady that I trust to determine what little girls will like; may I bring her over? Please do not be alarmed by her clothing; she's actually really astute, but she's been at the end of a string of bad luck."

"Sure, but if she destroys or takes anything, you'll have to pay for it."

Max smiled as he signaled for Francis to enter.

Francis took the towelettes and nodded at the man's instruction. She was used to being grimy, she couldn't swim and until quite recently she wasn't even in physically strong enough to see one if it were in front of her.

Old habits died hard as the little girl stroked the cloth against her face a few times. With a few strokes the once white towelette had been turned completely brown. Her complexion had mimicked that of one involved with quite a bit of melanin, though she soon found it was nothing more than dirt.

She placed the towelettes in her meat sack and stood idly by as the man made light conversation. She stared at the man's back and squinted, how long had it been that she couldn't even make out the things directly in front of her. Her view was far from twenty twenty, but she was miles passed where she had physically been only weeks before.

Her peepers trailed over the many bright clothing on the racks, and they did the very job they were meant to do, catch her attention. They were much prettier than her hospital gown, was it greedy of her for wanting one? She didn't know.

As the man waved her in she stumbled ungraciously beside the man, and looked at the woman. Her frown never left her face, though the slight trembling of her body and the inconsistency in her breathing made it quite obvious the little girl was nervous. "Your clothes are really pretty. I'm sure you get robbed a lot, you are very lucky you are alive" the girl chimed with sincerity. She wasn't prone to direct complements and her nervousness only made it seem worse.

She clenched tightly to her meat sack, though the pie was gone from it's confines she had nothing to use to carry her things before. She had been robbed of her potato sack dress during her time spent in the hospital and though she could not remember the name of the town, she did commit to putting the town on her list. She looked at the woman with the same melancholy gaze she had looked at the clothing with.

Max looked the nervous Francis and chuckled. He turned back to the lady and winked at her. "Please call me Mr. P," he told the lady grinning a wide smile.

"My name is Diana," she replied smiling back.

"Diana, to be honest, I'm having a hard time keeping my mind on business. So, would it be inappropriate if I asked to take you out to dinner tonight?"

"Well, Mr. P, we shouldn't mix business with pleasure," she said with a sly grin. "I close the store at 9 tonight."

"This young lady is Francis," Max said waving his hand towards the girl. "I'm trying to turn her into a proper young lady. The loss of funding to the orphanage means there are a lot of children on the street; children whom are willing to steal and hurt others to survive."

Diana nodded as Francis started looking around the store. He watched her carefully to ensure she did not take anything that she wasn't supposed to. "Please choose one outfit that you like," Max said aloud.

Max asked Diana where whe wanted to go for thier date, but did not take his eyes off of Francis. He trusted that she wanted a dress, but he didn't want to lose Diana's trust either.

Scam, that's what this was. All an elaborate hoax set up by a vindictive man determined to snatch what little joy a poor kid had for the sake of a good laugh.

He would supply her with pies, tell her lies and gain her trust, offer her a things to clean herself, and then give her a free article of clothing for nothing more than charity. The man was a sick twisted deviant hell bent on shredding her very soul. It was the only rational explanation.

The woman was probably in on it, they were in cahoots to snatch the meat sack, snatch the dress she would undoubtedly be given and then watch tears fall from her eyes, but she would not allow such a tragedy occur.

She looked toward the woman and frowned, and then to Mr.P "I'm leaving Mr.P you're really mean." the little girl exclaimed before she made her way out of the store.
