Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

OOC: No source of light? K. Also, I'm bored. IMAGINATION, I CHOOSE YOU.

Comma entered the room and flinched backwards as she saw the sitting woman in the dim light that the opening in the ground gave. She didn't notice her suddenly appearing into place from nowhere due to the darkness and her eyes adapting to the change in illumination

"HEY! You are the gal that has been playing around with me all this time, yeah? You've been in here all this time in the dark? What kind of sick person are you... Locking yourself up in a hole in the ground with all the dark and just a limited supply of oxygen... waiting for me. YOU'RE CREEPY!!"

She then received the calm reply from the woman. The Math mage replied with half-turned face, squinted eyes and a raised eyebrow. An expression of suspicion. But then, she smelled a certain aroma. A somewhat familiar one too. It was saliva, but not any saliva. It was her own saliva.

What?

The grannies preferred liquid was her own saliva. Her love for herself was ridiculously large, and her favourite beverage was her own saliva, drank from herself. She own normally do this by sucking it out of one of her clones in a romantic gesture of self-love.

How did her saliva get here?

"GIRL, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT KIND OF SICK MUMBOJUMBO YOU GOT HANGING AROUND, BUT I AINT TAKING IT"

She flicked a wrist forth and quickly channeled forth a clone to attack. But nothing happened. She tried again. Nothing again. Something was blocking her magic. Something that prevented her from making clones of herself. This had never happened to her before. Something that prevented her from performing the ability that she so loved. She couldn't love herself like she normally could without her magic. She was disarmed. Comma was heartbroken.

She looked at her hands.

...What?

Her mind was filled with thoughts of "Is this permanent?" or "Will I ever be able to summon clones of myself again?". She had been torn to pieces. In her mindset, she had just lost her most significant "significant other" - herself. Tears started to rain from her eye sockets, flooding her sight and cheeks.

She lost all of the enthusiasm and energy she had been propelling herself with to get here. She dropped to her knees, snapping her fingers again and again in an attempt to summon a clone, but nothing happened. She didn't have a way to fulfill her need to adore herself anymore.

But.

This woman. This woman in the chair had something to do with it. If she took it away, she must be able to give it back to her. She was responsible. But without her power, she couldn't force her to give her magic back. All she could do was comply to her demands and hope for the best. She stopped snapping her fingers and started to articulate words.

"what do you want?"

She muttered a simple phrase while she was still lumped on the ground and with her head lowered, with her white hair covering her face. Commas head was still filled with paranoia about the loss of her magic. The tragedy was such, that she didn't even notice that the woman knew her name.

Astrea didn't reply or even react as the woman before her shuddered through the loss of her magic, she heard the thoughts of loss and pain flitter around Comma's mind and she simply remained stoic.
Even when she was directly asked a question, she did not respond at first.
Instead she stared at the woman directly, looking into her eyes with an unblinking gaze that was clearly not human. Maybe if Comma had been paying attention at all she would have noticed the woman did not blink at all, few people did notice it though there were other... things they noticed first. But after a few moments had passed, moments that at once felt like centuries but also like no time at all, she spoke.
"I want nothing, Comma Oono Peaches," she said slowly, "You are the one who sought me out, after all. Are you not the one who wants something from me?"

"Me... Looking for y-.?"

You're the dragon, aren't you?

Comma tapped her head a few times as her tone calmed down. She tried to compute all of the information she had without losing it.

"Uhm, true. I guess I am looking for you. Uhm. This is an awkward situation. You see, you now have two things I want. Myself and your magic."

Mentioning that last phrase made the rage-side of herself bubble back to the surface. Losing her clones was a loss that wouldn't go unpunished. She flipped the silver table forwards and then drew forth her uzi rifle and pounced towards the place the dragon was sitting.

"GIVE ME BOTH, YOU SICK MATTERFLACKER!"

"NOW!"

Even as the girl flipped the table at Astrea it seemed to simply pass through the Dragon-woman, and as she drew her gun, screaming all the while, Astrea didn't react.
Well, not visibly.
Before Comma could react she would feel a very sharp crack in the arm holding the uzi as the bone therein snapped directly in the center, the grip on the uzi being wrenched open with the sudden break of bone. A moment later a second snap was heard in Comma's left ankle, as that bone too broke cleanly in a single snap and then she was simply sent flying into the far wall, hard but not hard enough to knock her out or cause much more than superficial damage.
And then the broken bones snapped back into place, a thing that was probably exactly as painful as the breaks.

"You want me, and your magic," Astrea mused calmly, still sitting with one leg crossed over the other and her eyes shining mysteriously, "How interesting. The latter I never took from you, it is simply in the nature of this place," she gestured vaguely, "To take something from any who enter its walls. The former is not something I understand however, are you saying you want me as a... pet? As a companion? Or do you want something more?"
A faint silver light blossomed from Astrea's right palm, a light that wrapped around Comma and erased all pain she might be feeling.
"Are you after something more... magical?

Let me be clear on this, Lady. I want two things. One and Two, got it?

First of all, I want your magic. Life magic. Magic of Life. Whatever its called, I want it. I also want my old magic. The magic that allowed me to summon clones of myself. The Math one. I want it all.

I WANT LIFE AND MATH MAGIC, YOU GOT IT?

You got that in your noggin, dragon? Can your telepathic-or-whatever hullshrap you use to get information understand this?

Comma was clearly mad. She was mainly fueled by the loss of her clones, and she was probably talking with more "color" than she should. Love has some extreme effects sometimes.

"My my," Astrea said calmly, a teacup appearing in her hand and idly taking a sip, "So hostile, and so ignorant too, I thought age was supposed to bring wisdom in you humans."
She took another sip as she considered her answer, before sighing slightly and putting the cup 'down' onto the air where it vanished completely.
"Unfortunately that is not possible," the dragon said, speaking slowly so Comma would understand her words in the old woman's raging state of mind, "My magic is too invasive to be possible within the body of a human being and still allow their own original magic. If one were to learn from me then their entire being would be changed with my magic. It's not the same in your body as it is in mine, multiple states of power cannot exist, especially foreign states such as a Draconian power in a human container."
Sad for Comma.

She was faced with a desicion. She stopped mid-tantrum as thoughts filled her mind.

Recover her beloved one and live for a few more years, or have the power to live a million times that amount alone?

She started to stammer.

I-I..Ch-choos..oos..

She couldn't decide easily. But eventually, a new idea popped into her deranged mind.

To live a myriad of lifetimes to surpass the exceptations of the dragon, and study during that time to recover her math magic, her original lifespan and her precious clones. That would be her plan. It might take her a millenium. Or two. Or Three. But she didn't know for sure and she didn't bother to care. All that mattered was to recover her significant other and to be with her the most amount of time possible. She had some naive hope that told her that she would achieve it. She would prove the Queen Dragon wrong. Row Row Fight Da Powah.

I choose your magic, Dragon. Grant me Life Magic.

Smiling and raising her glass -that once again had appeared from nowhere- as the old woman accepted her offer of granting her magic, Astrea took another sip then set the glass back down, this time it didn't disappear however.
"I see," she said with a soft sigh, "You have made your choice then? Such a request is not something so easily granted however, my magic is not something humans can normally bear, not something your kind can contain within the holds of your body and mind... and soul. Are you sure you could survive it? So few of your kind can handle it, what makes you think you can? Back when I did teach humanity my powers, back when those with magic were far stronger than the 'mages' of today that the merest spell from them would immolate your strongest mages, roughly nineteen of every twenty who came to learn from me died in the initial process. And of those one of twenty, forty-nine of fifty of those went mad and died during the training"

"So I ask you," she said once more, "Do you really think you can survive? Do not think of what you must do, or what you need to do. Could you, as you are, survive such a dramatic change to your very being from a magic so foreign to your own that is might as well be alien?"

Hehe.

You see, dragon: I don't care about death. I'm dead in a few months without the life magic anyway. Pfft, if I die in the process, what do I lose? November and December? Thats nothing compared to the eternity I can gain.

Getting this magic is very good bargain, its a hell of a lot of power that comes very very cheap!

Comma smirked.

So what do I have to do? Drink a potion? Jump some hoops? Do a ritual?
Cut my veins?, lose an arm?
I really don't care!

Concern about death is for the weak.

Well, the woman's answer was... revealing, though it seemed she had a few aspects of Astrea's magic locked in her mind without actually knowing how the "Life" magic the Queen Dragon posessed worked. See, the woman wouldn't become immortal, she wouldn't live forever and she definitely might still die in a few months from posessing this magic -hell she might even die if she gained it during the process itself- but she could rejuvenate her lifespan with it, once, but then she would age like any other.
Still, these were not things she would reveal right now, she would keep what her magic can and could not do within human limitations to herself, at least until after this woman succeeded, if she did.

"Oh no no no," Astrea said with a flick of her hand dismissively, "Nothing so boring and simple. For someone of your talents the quest would have to be suitably interesting, enough to keep you thinking and working until the very last moment."
Standing finally, a doorway opened behind Astrea, a silver arch that did not show where it was heading but instead shone with magic.
"This door will take you back to the surface, she said with a wave of her hand, "Once you are back there your task is to find the source of my magic within Tully Village. You'll know it when you see it and I'll leave some clues and trails for you to follow, but it will be largely up to you, Comma Oono Peaches."

And with that, Astrea vanished, between one heartbeat and the next she was simply gone.
And Comma had her task.
