Aloo! For a while I was thinking about how to automatize my loopholing process, and I've currently got a draft of how the process should develop. It will be coded in C++, and loaning some ontology concepts from OWL code, especially frame-language structure. You may be skeptic about being able to automatize loopholing, so I'll try to explain it. The Aloo will be a programme that imitates my mental cues when I try to loophole. As such, it will be very closely tied to the formal representation of the rules and their direct application in certain combations. Any sufficiently structured formal system can be coded, or aproximated by code. Aloo will also use hueristic and comparative measurement (quantifing things like "damage" is impossible, however, there is a clear notion of what damage is "more" than another. That kind of logic can be applied and prove to be of use). Once the rules have been coded, Aloo will try all of the combations of rules, and calculate the best result by brute computation force (just permutating variables in the frame-language virtual concepts, really). The most effective combinations will be recorded and given as output (there is no point in finding loopholes that work to hinder yourself, or at least, it is not in my interest). If these combinations are counter-intuitive or unsuspected, they will be marked as "loopholes", otherwise, the system will have simply uncovered a bias in the rules. I'll be updating this space as progress is made, and I will be releasing source code along the way probably, but dont bet on it. When its 100% done however, I will release the whole code and the programme for you to use for sure. Edited by Hyphen, Sep 5 2012, 12:09 PM.

You know, if you actually have the ability to create such a program and you didn't try to munchkin your way through this site you could make some really good money off of it. |
