Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Just a note: this lore is connected to my location submission, but both can exist without the other. So if one of them gets accepted and the other doesn't there would be no problem, they are both standalone.

Location of Lore: East Fiore - Yuma Village
Story/Myth/Legend: It was centuries ago, nobody knows exactly how many, a great battle took place in a small village on the northeastern part of Fiore. That was the village of Yuma, a small village of fishermen. During those times there was a great empire from the east, its name long lost, seeking to conquer all of Fiore. They began their invasion from an area close to Yuma, on the northeastern border of their own country and Fiore. They soon set their eyes upon Yuma, not because the village had any wealth or other noteworthy traits, it was something more important than that. In the sea close to the borders there were reefs spanning several kilometers which prevented the empire from assaulting Fiore through the sea. Yuma was the one village located next to the sea at a location where there weren't any reefs. For that reason the empire wanted to seize that village to have naval access to Fiore.

Yuma was not a village of power, they didn't have warriors capable of fending off attacks from the empire. Taking control of that village would have been a matter of days, perhaps hours, if it weren't for two men. Two generals of the great empire defected, believing the empire's plans to be too greedy and foolish. Those men, Kyuzo and Taizo, knowing of the empire's plans to assault Yuma, went to that village to protect it. They warned the villagers of the imminent danger and the empire's plan to attack them from the sea. The villagers of course laughed at them, it was unheard of for anyone to want to attack that peaceful place. Yet those two men didn't leave, they were determined to do everything in their power to stop the empire's plans. Their words came true, a few days after their arrival the villagers spotted ships drawing closer to the village.

Scared of what might happen to them, the villagers pleaded the former generals to save their village. The generals rounded up the villagers and instructed them on their defense plan. Using their fishing spears as weapons, the men were to defend their home with their own power, led by the two. The villagers were no warriors, they had never fought an actual battle before, but they did as the men instructed. They were at a great disadvantage at both numbers and experience, yet the terrain was to their favor. There was only a narrow space from where the empire's ships could pass, the rest of the sea was covered in reefs making it impossible to sail through them. Kyuzo and Taizo set traps in the sea, traps that sunk the empire's ships with huge explosions as soon as they got close. Falling to the sea, their men were helpless and were slaughtered by the militia the two had formed.

This was only the first victory of many, the empire didn't attempt a naval assault after that time. They learned from that mistake and only attempted to attack them through the land. But the terrain was still to the two men's advantage, hills surrounded the village which made it impossible for cavalry to pass through and also greatly limited the visibility of their archers. Thus, it was easy for the two generals to set traps in that area and ambush all attackers. The battles waged on with the empire unable to lay its hands on the village of Yuma. By that time, it had become more a personal matter rather than a battle for the village itself. The traitors had to be punished, the emperor wouldn't rest until he had their heads before him. Enraged, he prepared one large scale attack on the village, led by one of his strongest and most capable generals, Kambei the Fierce.

The day of that battle arrived. The men of the village were severely injured, most were unable to move from the series of battles that happened before that day. Only a handful of them and their two generals were able to move. Thus, the two men prepared a plan. They would attempt to draw out the enemy troops and separate them from their general, then attack that person from behind. An army without its general was bound to fall into chaos and disperse. The two of them hid in the hills and had some of the villagers act as decoys outside the village. Their plan was to have the enemy believe the two of them had fled by making the villagers pretend they were panicking. The enemy scouts noticed that and informed of their general who in turn ordered them to seize the village now that such a great opportunity was upon them. Kambei's army of no more than a hundred men rushed over to the village. It was a known fact that this man relied on low number armies and crushed foes with great strategic thinking.

Thinking that their distraction plan had worked, the two former generals appeared behind Kambei and attempted to take his head. However, Kambei was expecting that plan, he had purposely sent his soldiers to the village in order to lure them out. What happened next was a fierce battle which ended with Kambei losing his head to his two adversaries. He hadn't overestimated his abilities, he would have most likely won in a fair battle against those two. His skill with the sword was far greater than the two of them combined, but all was not as he expected. There are no actual records of history books on how the two men defeated Kambei. After that battle the two generals disappeared and the village, now defenseless, soon fell to the hands of the empire. It was the armies of Fiore that eventually put a stop to their advance.

There were no testimonies of the actual battle between Kambei, Kyuzo and Taizo. No testimonies save for one man, a man said to be crazy. One of the villagers was watching the battle, watching from behind the two men. He had left the village to tail them, suspicious of their true intentions. They could easily abandon the village with the plan they had proposed, he did not trust them one bit. This, however, led to him experiencing their battle firsthand. The two men demonstrated abilities they never had up to that day, one of them manipulated the water around him, the other used some kind of explosive substance. The combination of those two men's strange abilities caught Kambei off-guard and that was how they managed to take him down. The man had no idea that it was magic they used at that time, he had never seen anything like that before.

After Kambei's head was rolling on his feet, there was a bright light that enveloped the two men. After that, they disappeared from Yuma and nobody heard from them again in that era. The villager who had witnessed their battle also disappeared with them. He found himself transported to the future, during the present time. The man spoke of these events to the villagers, now people he didn't know, but they all made a fool out of him. How could a person know of the events of days long ago that even history books hadn't recorded? Thus the man isolated himself from the villagers, choosing to live alone on the outskirts of the village. The events he witnessed that day were caused by two young mages who had found themselves transported to the past through a magic book, taking the place of the two generals. Once they had accomplished the feat of defending the village through its final battle, that bright light was what took them back to their time, accidentally taking the villager with it.

That villager never stopped telling the stories of those events, the children loved hearing about all the fights he had been through. Yet his words are to forever be ridiculed by the adults, taken as the ramblings of a senile old fool. A rumor started to spread that the old man was indeed of that time and that the reason for him still being alive was some curses or immortality. Nevertheless, the man did speak the truth but nobody took him seriously.

Location of Lore: Sanzibar Desert
Story/Myth/Legend: Many centuries ago, some time close to when the initial magical counsel was formed, disagreements had broken out amongst the world of wizards. As rules were set into play by the “higher order of wizards”, many casters found them to be impossible to live by. There were many outcasts and rogue wizards who chose to live by their own code of rules for magic.
One day, Wizarding Guards had imprisoned a shaman who sought peace between the organization and the outer wizards. Because this shaman was an idol and symbol of the outcasts, the outer wizards became enraged. An army was outer wizards were formed and were to traveled to Crocus and take down the counsel and free the shaman, however the counsel saw this coming and counter attacked with the help of an army of knights and wizards, meeting the opposing army at Sanzibar Desert.
A famed wizard by the name of Reguul Redwing had lived in a swamp at the time. He was known for his animation spells that seem to bring nearly any inanimate object to life with the sense of actually being ‘alive’. At the time of the first wizard war, he was living in a swamp. He wanted nothing to do with either faction, so he created a powerful golem by the name of Myermyer that protected his home.
When the counsel saw that their armies were losing, they grew desperate and blackmailed and even threatened Reguul to lend his assistance. Finally caving in by the third day, Reguul lent the counsel his golem and with that, the war came to an end within two days with the counsel of wizards coming out on top.
No one knows what happened to the real Myermyer, but a replica remains within a museum in Magnolia.

Location of Lore: Chrysanthemum
Urban Myth: There's a story going around about a little girl that haunts the streets of Chrysanthemum. They say she was the daughter of a overstressed florist who committed suicide due to the lack of not socialising with other residents, and was suspected to be apart of some cult ritual connected to the Black Arts. The daughter was not found during the process of investigating the death of the florist, however recent sightings of a small little girl appearing at events for kids such as parties, has raised a suspicion that she could be the missing girl of the florist. Further investigation has been made into action with interviews of several children who has said to of made contact with the little girl. All the children responses were all the same "We don't know who she is" - "She just appeared out of nowhere and started playing with us, than mysteriously left".

This wasn't such a serious case until recent cases of children going missing between the ages of 7-14. People say that the missing daughter of the florist is connected with the children going missing all around Chrysanthemum, they say the daughter can perform Black Arts like her mother who was believed to have taught her daughter after her death.

Location of Lore: Glacial Flats
Story/Myth/Legend: It should not be a surprise, that few are ever interested in the histories of the Glacial Flats; it is, after all, a frozen landscape, with nothing save savage beasts, dangerous plants, immoral people, and the remains of civilizations long gone scattered throughout its lands. The last thing anyone would think of, when considering the icy land and all its perils, would be its past. And yet, even the Flats have legends hidden within. One such legend, recorded in stone within one of the pillars that dot the frozen landscape, recently uncovered by archaeologists, tell a particularly perturbing story – after countless hours spent deciphering, the archaeologists finally figured out what was written on it, something by name of Darug Nai.

Long, long before Fiore was what it is now, there were people living in the lands – people, and yet, not people. They were a civilization, yes; living beings, with dreams and fears, aspirations and nightmares, ingenuity, and, above all, magic. The tablets and wrecks that remains show that they were a particularly advanced group for their time, having built marvelously large structured and inventions more complex than anyone else in that age.

And yet, some of the runes on the ruins lead to a more disturbing message; apparently, several thousands of years ago, a massive cataclysm threatened their survival. Although the specific cause is not recorded - suspected to be the rise of the ice the froze over the land and turned the Glacial Flats into the place it is now - the runes state very clearly what the people did: in a single, massive ritual of magic, the entirety of the civilization underwent a spell designed to preserve themselves, using the sacrifice of a human.

Which is already bad enough, if not for the fact that the runes after that point are all in another, more crude form of writing, though of the very same language - it claims, that as the ritual was to dawn, the mother of the sacrifice, unwilling to see her child die even for the sake of the entire civilization, replaced her infant child with a rock at the last moment. Somehow, perhaps through her own magic, no one noticed, and so the ritual began, and ended, successfully.

That is, if one considers one's entire civilization turned into massive hulking beings of ice, metal, wood, and stone, successful. Correction; by replacing the quintessential ingredient for the ritual, the spirits of every person who partook in the ritual left their bodies, destroying the physical selves immediately, and entered nearby objects. In a single moment, due to a single woman's actions, a group of an estimate ten thousand lost their humanity, and became golems.

It is presumed, that the golems continued living - or at least, however golems could live - as the records from that point on continue, though the difference in the precision and particularly the size of the writings are easily noticeable. The records from then on are relatively eventless, as they become more and more sparse the more modern they are, and begin recording less and less interesting, if not downright useless, information.

The special thing about the records, though, is this: the latest discovered tablet, containing a mere six words, was through magic found to be less than a decade old. An exciting discovery, indeed - the message, though, was nowhere near as happy. When translated, the people who discovered it found it to say something along the lines of: "We see them. We are coming."

Ever since, many have kept a closer eye on the ruins of Glacial Flats, though nothing so far has come of it yet.

Or so they say.

It is notable, that the amount of explorers who have disappeared whilst in the Glacial Flats within the last decade has increased exponentially, and at the same time a few renegade researchers are making perturbing claims - that some of the ruins, including those large, underground buildings frozen and buried away long ago, are moving.

Location of Lore: All of Fiore / Mt. Gilimancaro
Story/Myth/Legend:

The Dwarfs of Old

Thousands of years ago when just when mankind was in its infancy stages there was a race of people who were even then a legend. They looked similar to man although more than often much shorter and hairy then man, even their children had facial hair by the age of eight. They were rugged people admired their facial hair as a source of power, and who would often live to be 250 years old. However despite being smaller they were a strong race of crafters and engineers, who often would design elegant structures and jewelry that all creatures coveted. These people were known as dwarfs a race that were rumored to be the first intelligent creatures to ever walk on the Earth Land, born from stone this race often lived underground or in mountains where they would be protected from predators and other races that would wish them harm. In their underground cities the dwarf would live a rich life of brewing the finest beer from cave mushrooms, crafting the highest quality of objects, and mining for all sorts of minerals. They for the most part were a peaceful race he lived underground and hardly ever interacted with the world above choosing to isolate themselves instead.

The ages of dwarf isolation was soon to change as man came more and more into the picture. Upon the first discovery of man the dwarfs flew to the chance to make more profit from their mining as the humans who would pay top dollar to have the very minerals that the dwarfs had mined for hundreds of years. The two races co-exist peacefully and prospered alongside one another. This allow humans to expand their grasp of power further then they could of ever had alone, with fines armor and weapons crafted by the dwarf the humans were near unstoppable! Soon the humans began to look down at the dwarfs viewing them as inferior race despite the partnership that they had held for so long. They began to have restriction for the dwarves coming up to the surface and even began to tax the dwarfs for living under “their” land. However the dwarfs were a proud and stubborn race who would not stand for this and refused daring the humans to force them to pay taxes. The humans foolishly did so dove into the underground fortresses of the dwarves only to be slaughtered, one dwarf for every one hundred humans. Eventually the humans would and left to the dwarfs to their own device who went back into to isolation.

Hundreds of years passed after the war between humans and dwarfs and the both races lived side by side begrudgingly, having little interaction with one another. But that would soon change as a force was unleashed upon the land destroying all living things within its wake. The humans had begun mining on their own since the isolation of the dwarfs and became pretty adept at it but they didn’t know of the evils that lay deep underground nor the precautions one must take in order prevent. The humans had dug too deep! They unleashed a hellish like creatures of that thrive deep within the Earth’s crust and had no way to prevent them from reaching the surface. Normally when a Dwarven mining out post came upon these creatures they would often blow the entire fort and mines with it to prevent the spread of these creatures but the humans had never dealt with this issue and thus hellish creatures were unleashed.

They roamed the surface destroy man human cities and dwarfs cities alike almost nothing seemed to be able to stop these demonic creatures! Human armies were mustered to fight these creatures but would always perish even the dwarf who would make seemingly impenetrable fortress quickly feel to the creatures. It was not until the brink of extinction that the humans and the dwarfs agree to fight alongside one another faced with utter annihilation if they were to fail. The fiercely battled back these demons of hell back to their source Mt. Gilimancaro. Using everything they had left but managed to push the creatures back to the mine at Mt Gilimancaro but soon came to a stalemate. The narrow mines make it hard for the human and dwarf army to fully push back the demons without dedicating an entire force into the mines. With both races on the brink of extinction even if they did send the entire force in it would Pyrrhic victory as all the remaining men in both races were drafted into the army even children.

The dwarfs then did something that no man would ever expected to do they volunteered the entirety of their race to push back the demons back to where they came. They were too proud and stubborn to lose this war to what they call “a bunch of elf wanking skeletons” and choose to sacrifice their entire race to save the humans and the rest of the world. So the dwarfs went deep into the mines battling the creatures for days in the mines sending no word to the humans who stood at the entrance of the mine ready to fight the demons once again if the dwarf were to fail. On the 9th day of the fighting there was a loud explosion within the mountain which shook the land for 100 miles! This caused a cave in that destroyed the mines that the humans have created and sealing the fate of the dwarves but allowed man to live and thrive on the surface once more.

After time passed humans began to build their great civilizations once again and slowly forgot about the dwarfs and how they saved mankind eluding it to a child fairy tale as they thought no race would sacrifice itself to save another. Though as the time went on rumors of dwarfs began to pop here and there that there were dwarfs and they had survived and live on to this day in Mt. Gilimancaro crafting fine jewels, beer and once again creating engineering feats that the world has never seen. Scholars deemed it lunacy that even if the stories were true there was no way the dwarf could have survived a battle like that. Then an entrance appeared at the top on the Mountain making many speculate about the existence of dwarfs. Expeditions were sent do discover who and why this door was made but rarely anyone ever returned alive their bodies were often found dragged back to the entrance. Those who did make it out of lie tell it was a maze filled with TNT traps, frightening beast, exploding ores and numerous amount of booby traps that filled to stop anyone from ever reaching the end of the maze. The debate about the history and existence of dwarfs still rages on today as the rumors of dwarfs pile up.
