Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Location of Lore: All of Fiore
Story/Myth/Legend: Legend tells of an enigmatic horseman, travelling throughout the Kingdom of Fiore and some of the bordering countries. Few have seen the legendary being known only as the Skull Knight. His actions and motivations are mysterious - the horseman is said to appear seemingly at random, however it appears that eyewitness accounts which indicate his appearance have a tendency to coincide with instances of great tragedy. Though, legends are still unsure whether or not he brings these tragedies or not.

Who the Skull Knight truly is remains a mystery. However, another legend tells of a great benevolent Emperor which once ruled Fiore and the bordering countries. Despite that, the Emperor's rule was short lived, abruptly ended by some wicked stroke of fate, or so it is said. This same Emperor was said to wear an armor adorned with bones and a skull-like helmet, leading some to link them together as the Skull Knight shares these same features. However, this story is over a millenium old, and the appearance of the Skull Knight is said only to have occurred in the last several hundred years in legend.

The Skull Knight was recently revitalized in modern Fiorean culture as little more than a boogeyman - a creature said to lurk at night and used by mothers to scare their mischievious children into finally going to bed at night. However, there eyewitness reports still occur stating that the Skull Knight is in fact real. Though, the sides are split as to whether or not he is a harbinger of destruction or a revenant who seeks nothing more than to vanquish a evil.

Location of Lore: Lotus City
Story/Myth/Legend: There is a dark story hidden deep in Lotus City’s history that people tell their children to make them go to bed and behave. There was once this little girl named Melody. Her singing voice rivaled even those who had years of training to become a singer. She had the prettiest smile with her green eyes and raven black hair hanging around her. She was the jewel of the city at one point. But as dark stories go the little girl was murdered. Everyone wept for the poor girl who was only ten at the time.

Years passed and before someone saw this little girl by the water fountain. She was singing a song, a very pretty song that completely took you by surprise. The next day the person went missing. Again the same encounter was reported and once again someone went missing. A week had passed and a total of four people who had heard a song sung by a little girl was taken from their homes and lead somewhere never to be seen again.

Some say that the people were killed by Melody who is seeking revenge on the people in the city. Others say that it is just a ghost of the girl who is also very lonely and wants a friend. But all of that was shattered when one person had escaped from the girl’s song. The missing man franticly tried to explain that after listening to this girl’s voice it had pulled him out of his home and into the woods. He continued to say that the girl had suddenly changed into this monstrous creature that had risen from a grave. He watched as people were sucked into this necklace.

The account was quickly said to be some lunatic’s rambling and the story was just a story. No more people suddenly disappeared. Children soon feared the nightmare and locked their windows.

However to this day if someone was to bring up the fact that they heard a child’s voice singing the people living in the city fall quiet before changing the subject. What they fear more than the story is the story becoming true again.

Location of Lore: Magnolia
Story/Myth/Legend: In the sewers under the home of Fairy Tail, a strange creature exist. feeding off of the energy of the rauckus noise from over head. though few have seen it, those that have were never the same again. Tales from these witnessed describe the creature as humanoid in shape. The arms were long and muscular, knuckles dragging on the ground even from a fully upright position. The knees bent backwards like a bird's leg. It's large eyes shined briliant yellow with the natural darkness around it. It was scaled from head to toe and had a long tail. It's mouth opened wide revealing rows upon rows of sharp teeth.

While many don't beleive it exist since it doesn't come up to feed, some magical scholars theorize that the creature doesn't make it's presence felt because it doesn't need to feed. It is satisfied with the loud noise that Fairy Tail gives off around the clock. Though if the Guild hall was ever silent for too long, it might come to the surface to terrorize and feed on the screams.

Location of Lore: Central Fiore
Story/Myth/Legend: It is said some where in the middle of Acacai and Coreospsis is a flying city. Powered by massive lachyrma's inside the ground floating islands linked together by bridges and chains loom in clouds over Fiore. It is sad that this city came from the magical rich waters of Fiore and how the lakes got their shape, over time however the city drifted away from the sky above Coreopsis and shifted a bit north west. The very few ever have seen this city on the clear day and even fewer have been able to set foot in it.

It is said the city itself is rich in magical items and lost magic users. The knowledge and power one could get from just visiting this place alone could be life changing.

Location of Lore: North Fiore
Story/Myth/Legend: Deep in the mountains ranges of northern fiore, there is one mountain taller than all the rest, with a long, winding path around the mountain to the top, dubbed The Arcane Causeway. It got its name from the theories on how the mountain's path came to be - the path is not a natural formation, as it appears to be made of several large, crater-like holes, and spiked every few meters with random bits of crystal, normally seen only closer to the top of the mountains, or found deeper within their stony hearts. The most commonly accepted myth is that two mages battled there, slowly moving their fight up the mountain, the crystal wreckage and blasted earth a testament to their forgotten strength. Others insist that it was just natural occurrences such as rock slides that made the impact marks and revealed hidden crystals, but the sheer length of the path makes that line of thought wear thin rather swiftly.

Location of Lore: Sanzibar Desert
Story/Myth/Legend: All throughout the great desert, people know this legend. When people were just settling into the area, life was incredibly harsh and unforgiving outside of the oasis they happened to come across. The extremely painful climate and the vast space it took up made even trading amongst themselves a life or death task, let along trade with the rest of Fiore. No one was brave enough to risk themselves out in the desert to find out where it truly ended or to find other routes back out of the desert and because of this settlement in the Sanzibar was almost called off entirely.

However, a man named Gavin was born into one the small settlements set up in the desert. He grew up entirely intent on finding out just how far the desert stretched and he wanted to jot down each and every last grain of sand there was. From here is where it turns into more into a recollection of what was passed down orally. Some say Gavin and a small team set out with him, to travel the desert, but only he returned and barely at that. Another popular variation of the story is that Gavin spent five years roaming the desert, meticulously marking down everything he could see and taking precise coordinates to ensure his maps had the highest accuracy possible. Either way the one thing that is certain is that everything taught in Sanzibar Desert at one point or another talks about Gavin, the Great Cartographer, and reminds everyone that he is the reason the desert settlers were able to expand and live.

Regardless of any kind of variations to how Gavin accomplished his goal of mapping the desert, historians agree that Gavin was the first person to ever successfully record the entire Sanzibar desert region. To pay thanks to his strides in allowing the desert community to survive a statue was erected in his honor in recent days. Gavin is shown standing, facing the desert, with a compass and parchment paper in hand.

Location of Lore: Fiore
Story/Myth/Legend: There was once a magical flower rumored to have been blessed by the gods and had the ability to grant almost any wish a person that will be able to find it. It was also said to be able to produce unlimited amount of magic which caused a lot of people who were not only able to use magic but also those who could to conduct searches here and there. Other story tells that it could heal any kind of illness or even bad luck as it bring fortune to the person who could find it. Centuries had past and none were able to find it. Even the greatest of explorers, and archeologists, hunters or even warlords alike were not able to find the magical flower. Was it all just a fantasized story made in order to bring hope to the people that by that time, were worn out of fighting each other and focus themselves on more important things? No one has even solved the mystery of what or where that magical flower truly is. No one knows.

Location of Lore: Northern Fiore -- Glacial Flats

Story/Myth/Legend: The Glacial Flats had not always been a barren wasteland of ice and snow. A long, long time ago--- over a millennium past, once thrived an ancient culture that had once thrived on magic. Back then, the land itself was fertile, prosperous, supported by the magic they practiced and kept to endure their culture in the cold winters. In its earliest days, a grand being made from the night sky, known by those nowadays as the Celestial Spirit King, bestowed a fount of knowledge upon the people of the land. A book containing the knowledge and magic of the stars themselves. It was called the Uranometria, meant for all mankind to learn the wisdom and guidance of the stars to bring them a bright future. It was said they were bestowed this magic by harnessing the power of the stars, and thus life itself. It was from this book that branched the knowledge of cosmic magic, allowing the power of wizardry from Celestial Spirit Magic, even Heavenly Body Magic.

With this book, their culture thrived. The knowledge that was imprinted into the night sky soon became interpretable to man and the powers behind them. They became very advanced in mathematics, philosophy, astrology, and magic for their time, easily being one of the top kingdoms in Fiore. As their magic progressed with ancient wisdom bestowed to them from the stars, they were able to uplift their entire capital city and turn it into a floating island high above their land. From there, they could study the heavenly bodies of the stars above, free from the clouds. This grand city was called Laputa.

However it was not meant to last. With the power of the Uranometria, the kingdom became too powerful and eventually turned too greedy, seeking new means to control the power bestowed upon them from the spirits of the stars. They began experimenting with the cosmic power to create means of war and conquest. It became their downfall as they soon created a horror of cosmic might. A machine of unparalleled destruction that consumed their entire culture. In a single night, their creation destroyed their entire culture and vanished.

As time passed, the history of this culture became shrouded in ruins, ice and snow. Even the great city that had floated above the land soon vanished from sight, hidden only except to those who knew how to find it. Those who seek the forgotten city of Laputa can only fathom two things. Ether the shine of the heavens the city is bathed in, with the promise of knowledge and fortune above. Or the shadow of ill fate that it casts on the land below. Few have claimed to have seen it as it is cast behind the storm clouds of the Glacial Flats but only briefly. It is said the way back to the city is hidden within the frozen wasteland, but no one has yet to find the way. As time passed, those shrugged off the stories as history, became legend, and legend became myth. Many seek their entire lives to find the lost city, but never have. The only remains of the Laputian culture is the mysterious city that still remains somewhere in the sky

Location of Lore: Fiore/Candyland
Story/Myth/Legend: There once was a powerful mage, who could create candy huge quantities of candy, anywhere, at any time. She made caramel traps, so sticky it was impossible to get out of, she even created wings, so she could fly. She covered whole lands in ice cream, and she even made horrible clouds of cotton candy that rained the dreaded... CHOCOLATE RAIN!!! Then one day, she disappeared and was never seen again.

Legend has it that she turned herself into a great dragon of candy, and sealed herself into giant dragon of candy, to achieve immortality. She had magnificent scales, that looked like a rainbow, made up of hard taffy. Her eyes were two giant lollipops, and licorice served as her wings. Her roar would blast into a tornado of skittles.

She lives in a world of candy. Her giant, chocolate palace, surrounded by guards of gummy bears. In the caramel swamps, giant gummy worms lurk. Mountains of hard taffy are covered by ice cream. Even the sea is made up of several different flavors of soda (such as orange, grape, lemon). She lives in a candy paradise, and yes there is a way to get there.

They say if you were to meet this dragon, she will teach you the secrets of her magic. But first, you must find her. Their are 3 different ways to get to this magical land.

1. Drown in a lake of Chocolate
2. Fly away with wings made of licorice
3. Get whisked away by a Tornado of Skittles

However some say their's a 4th way, but that's just a legend....
