Location Name: Yuuto Village
Location Area: East Fiore - Subforum
Location Descriptor: A small village mostly secluded in the nearby mountains. It sits fairly close to a volcano which scares away most people from developing the land. The people in the village are mostly ignorant of what goes on outside their village, and don't really care to know. The people of Yuuto Village rely on whatever signs they pick up from nature and use them as guides as what they should do, if anything, in life. They're always willing to take people in though. They won't turn anyone away and try to be as curdious as they can be by supplying weary travelers with supplies for their journey.
Location Briefing: The village was originally settled in because the fertile volcanic soil was conducive to productive farming. Because of its hidden location in the mountains, Yuuto Village is largely untouched by the rest of the world. Travelers passing through the mountains often stopped by for food, supplies, and most notably to have their fortunes read as the villagers are somewhat masters at telling the fortunes of others. The villagers are also very laid back. Most of them, if not all, don't ever feel stressed or angry even in times of panic. The village largely believes that there are signs to predict their futures and dedicate themselves to finding and interpreting them. This is due to generations of relying on the signs around them to guide their life, trusting that as long as the signs say they'll be fine they'll actually be fine.
This can be somewhat infuriating to others who choose to believe that the villagers shouldn't rely on such archaic methods to run their lives, but you wouldn't be the first person to try to change their thinking and probably won't be the last. The villagers aren't unreasonable about their beliefs, just that in the generations that they've trusted the signs and haven't been wrong on even one prediction, though the reasoning for this my make some people face palm, but just the same the predictions haven't been wrong. If anything one could say the village is incredibly lucky, and though they may not agree that it's luck keeping them going they will agree that everything tends to just go right here.
Their main landmark, Mt. Suri, hasn't been active in years, but a person could feel the heat coming from the volcano just being near it. Despite numerous warnings that the Yuuto Village would be swallowed up by the volcano the villagers aren't even concerned with the threat. They believe that nature and fate will tell them if and when the volcano will destroy the village and at that time will they move onto a better place. Their reluctance to move is half due to the stubbornness of doing as destiny tells them to do and half because the extreme combination of volcanic soil, extreme heat, and a humid breeze that covers the area combine to give birth to a beautiful flower the blooms around the rim of the volcano. A super rare flower, it tends to randomly bloom for the most part, but it has some very small correlation with the amount of rain that year, but the scientist can't quite put a connection on even that. The flower has six petals, all of them violet in color, and look like a spiral from a distance. Contrary to most flowers the very center of this flower is in a charcoal color and rather then something sweet or bitter for a scent the flower gives off an aroma similar to cinnamon. The villagers call this the Olan Lily and when it blooms they take it as assurance the year will be joyous and have a wonderful harvest.

Location Name: Laputa Location Area: Northern Fiore Location Description: The physical city is grand, supported on a chunk of earth that, by no knowable magic or science, remains afloat in the sky. The physical city is constructed out of stone, beautifully carven and built with magic runes on every structure. Despite the age of the ruins, the wear of time has not dissolved the city. The city has several towers and observatories, along with residential area, and libraries. The largest structure of the city is the grand citadel, the place where the kingdom's greatest secrets and creations were kept.
Location Briefing: Before then, though winter still chilled the land, it wasn't as bad. Even plant life and wildlife lived there no different than anywhere else in Fiore. The people who lived there were wise, and prosperous. They lived in harmony with the land, and with the aid of magic made their homes in this part of the world. Having been a people of great prosperity and magic, they thrived even within the harsh winters that plagued that region. Their magical knowledge soon became tremendous as one day, a powerful magic was gifted to the people of that land. It was said their magic was granted to them by an ancient and powerful celestial spirit, who bestowed a fount of his knowledge for mankind to learn from and to lead them to a new age of peace and prosperity for all. From this city, history could date back to the origin of modern day magical practices and from them stemmed the knowledge of Celestial Magic .
The city itself is built into several sectors. The most common was the residential sector that was very close to the city's parks and gardens, which have now become overrun with moss, roots, trees and other flora that has grown wild and into the structures. It was their they also grew agricultural produces to supply their city. This also includes the markets and crafts district where beautiful artisans practice making magical and artistic treasures not seen in years. The scholar district did also house the more intellectual members, but in addition to housing was also areas close to the collages, libraries, observatories and astronomy labs. These areas were the most active during its time, its colleagues researching magic, and other sciences including alchemy. It was one of their most funded areas of development in the city. Another sector was the military sector. It wasn't well known, but it was where magic and development was used to help build up magical defenses and methods of organized defense. It was also there that the soldiers of Laputa would train and grow to defend their country should invasion come. Because they were at first a peaceful nation, this section was only built more recently to the events that followed to its fate. Finally there is the royal sector and the grand citadel. The two were interconnected through its buildings, being a source of the utmost knowledge and research accessible only to the royal family and the high government that ran Laputa. It's a single large building at the zenith of the flying city, overlooking much of it. Inside are the most treasured secrets to the kingdom, including the rumored source of their magic power.
However after many years of growth, their wealth and prosperity led the way to greedy ambitions and sought to create tools of war with the magic they had been blessed with. they created tools of metal and magic, wielding power beyond even our modern day magic could accomplish. It led to their destruction as their ultimate creation wiped them out, turning the glacial plains into the wasteland it was now known as. Little is known what exactly they created that wiped them out, or how all the people vanished in a single night.

Spoiler: click to toggle Location Name: Clockwork Town Location Area: Small Towns Location Descriptor: A place that is almost as big as a town but not yet enough, lies somewhere in the Eastern part of Fiore along side with some mountains. The place does look like any other cities in Fiore but the most notable thing in this place is the tower situated at the center of the town, Clockwork Tower. It is over 100 floors and on top is a large clock towering over the entire city. No one knows what is exactly inside this tower since those who tried entering it would find themselves lost. People here are fond with clockworks and has a wide source of Lacrima. Some say the town is more artificial than magical.
Location Briefing: Clockwork Town is almost as big as the major cities in Fiore, only difference is they haven't reach some of the required area and population to be called a city. Still this doesn't stop the town from flourishing as their main attraction is their clockwork. Clockwork Town does have everything you could see in a city, market area, residential area, train station, cultural area and different types. They do have their own law enforcement that aren't related to knights and they don't have any magic guilds like some of the major cities of Fiore. Due to this the town is more likely a neutral faction.
City Structure: At the center of the town is a tall tower called Clockwork Tower. The tower consists of over 100 floors built with a strong and sturdy foundation, making it impossible to penetrate from the outside. On the top of the tower is a large clock on each four sides. Each floors are designed like a maze with different types of puzzles installed. You need to solve each of these puzzles to reach the next floor. Some say that no one has actually reached the top floor and those that tried only reached the 10th floor. No one knows exactly what is on the top but the clock still hasn't stopped moving up until now.
The entire town is surrounded in a tall, thick, sturdy wall. Going as high as 20 meters and as thick as 1 meter, it is made from a sturdy alloy, preventing anyone from entering the town aside from the gates. This wall surrounding Clockwork Town is one reason why there couldn't expand anymore as it helps prevent intruders to enter but also prevents them from expanding. There are four main gates which are located at the North, South, East and West part of the wall, along with four sewage tunnels located Northeast, Northwest, Southwest and Southeast part of the wall. The gates are usually guarded by the town's own law enforcements and is protected 24/7.
Most of the structures in the town are built with clockwork and cogs in them, there are clocks everywhere even in street lamps. Due to his the town looks like it is artificially made and the people here used this to their advantage for the town's commercialism. Even though the town does have a lot of commercial area and shops, there aren't any magic shop here or magic guild. Most of the product here are made with Lacrima on mind. One could say that Clockwork Town is one of the suppliers of all Lacrima product in Fiore.
Things of interests: There are no knights situated in Clockwork Town but instead has their own law enforcements. They are trained men and women using Larcima based weapon and equipment. Their main unit for defence against mages are clockwork units called Clockwork droids. These are humanoid clockwork run with Lacrima that is being controlled by humans. These are design to handle any sort of magic their regular unit couldn't handle and could only be handled by trained people of the town.
There is also a reason due to the lack of population in Clockwork Town as most of the people you could see walking around are entirely made of clockwork. Most of the manual labored jobs are done by these clockwork worker and most people here aren't fit to do manual labor, those who are fit joined their law enforcements.

Zoztroyt Location Name: Zoztroyt Location Area: The area your location would be in: e.g./ Kingdom of Fiore - Regions - South Fiore - Dandelion Sector, Kingdom of Fiore - Notable Places etc. Location Descriptor: The 'luxurious' part of the Dandelion Sector in South Fiore, if you could call it luxurious. The abandoned buildings are kept tidied on the inside instead of out as to not show signs of progress as well as hide the way to an early grave. The insides are that of a haunted mansion except the gore is real. Not only that, but it's the worst part of Dandelion Sector to be in for the air reeks of horror and death constantly covered with dark clouds. Cold silence is all around and absolute from the perimeter to the nucleus of the territory. Location Briefing: Zoztroyt is the result of a suburb area hitting rock bottom and below. After having so many turf wars happening the city was destined to abandonment and despair. For quite a while, some wanted to restore some form of peace to the area, but the idea and said people were soon forgotten. Zoztroyt had eventually become a living prison and graveyard. There are no buildings that resemble a church or some cathedral being in Zoztroyt and the thought of building one would only give fatal consequences, even if its purpose would be to shelter a cult. Hospitals are but forsaken in the hell-hole suburb as it is survival of the fittest and the weak are disposed of in any manner, thus explaining graves all over the place.
Those that dared go there would go on to being the lackeys of the slum lords or just measly prey for the wandering around looking to loot or kill just for fun. Zoztroyt was merely an amusement park for criminals or those with a deathwish. It's not a town that people casually know about let alone is spread throughout Dandelion among other small towns. There are a few that're the head hanchos with deadly followers and they have a rule about not spreading word about Zoztroyt. They already had enough traffic flow from people getting sent there against their will by tyrants, especially those that knew of it let alone escaped once before, knowing they weren't coming back alive. The terror that Zoztroyt poses is never joked upon, as mercy is extinct if not faintly exposed. Though that too is more rare than a blue moon.
The town/suburb consists of many 'abandoned' buildings now abiding criminals magicians and non-magicians alike that seek death and torture of others. The buildings are fashioned as rundown on the outside and hideouts fit for dark beings on the inside decorated with the foulest of interior decorations. Many people have lost their lives for not holding their tongue mocking in disgust about how the scum know nothing but bad taste. Walls stained with trophies of hunted prey and their blood as well as banners of their respective clan marking territory. Once someone gets used to such atrocious design, it gives them a slight cozy feeling for being there, demented looking couches and all.
The streets are constantly foggy and very dirty. Rain would be nice, but when it rains, it will pour rain drops galore sometimes causing flood damage and getting people trapped in the sewers sometimes resulting in a quicker death than being stuck out in the open. The fog is unnatural as its odor changes from gas to smoke or foul magic that causes illness. Vegetation is extinct due to these poor conditions as well as livestock doesn't last well. Food must be imported from above and it doesn't come cheap. The water isn't as foul as the people in this suburb, but people won't hesitate to knife one another for a drink. If someone wishes to die, this place is paradise. Destitute is all this place will ever be, regardless if it were liberated by the lightest magicians in existence.

Location Name: Hell's Descent Location Area: Kingdom of Fiore - Notable Places (Sub-Forum for the "Tower of Heaven")
Location Descriptor:
- Quote:
-
People in Fiore consider the Tower of Heaven to be an amazing place, a place of long-lost history and wonder. But there is always something more to every place of history, a darkness that is never acknowledged and has long been disregarded or even lost. Hell's Descent is the gateway to, and the darkness of the history that is the Tower of Heaven...
Location Briefing:
- Quote:
-
A long time ago the Tower of Heaven was more than just a tower. What is now known today as a tower standing alone in Fiore is actually the upper-most part of an enormous spire, a spire that stood in the very center of a city - the greatest city ever known to the continent of Fiore now or ever. Unfortunately a tragedy befell this city, a tragedy that has something to do with the disappearance of the dragons, that has something to do with the rising of the Mages Council as it is known today and a tragedy that very little other is known. The Tower of Heaven is the uppermost-part of the center of that city, the uppermost part of a temple. But the reason that only the uppermost part remains is because the rest of the city was buried, lost beneath the earth due to a cataclysm that is of a magnitude unimagineable. But just because the city was buried, does not mean it was completely lost, though for eons it was considered so.
Until a tunnel was found.
In the bowels of the Tower of Heaven a small shaft was found recently by some explorers, a shaft that lead straight down into the earth where no previous shaft had been seen before. In fact it was theorised that the shaft had never even existed before, that somehow it had appeared of its own volition -or someone elses- and was showing the way to a place that was so long lost to the history books that it was considered a story, a fantasy, a fairy tale - fiction in its entirety without a shred of evidence to the contrary. Until the explorers descended down this shaft. What was found initially was unknown, as only one of the group of thirty ever returned but what he spoke of was a place that was unlike any other, a veritable hell existing directly below a place that was named for Heaven. It was unknown exactly how deep the shaft went, but what was known was communicated in the last few days before the explorer went insane and died.
The Hell's Descent, as the place is now referred to, is the epitome of danger within the continent of Fiore. It is a very long, very dark tunnel leading from the lowest basement of the Tower of Heaven directly downwards and at the slighest of angles. Nearly impossible to navigate the tunnel is pitch dark and full of ruins of varying kinds, the architecture varied and overgrown in many places by plants that had never been seen in modern Fiore before, but that had somehow flourished underground. Nobody knows how far down the actual tunnel goes, as nobody has ever survived a journey into the true depths of the Hell's Descent, but the parts that are explored have been camped quite thoroughly by explorers and archeologists, and a map of sorts has been drawn up. It shows a main tunnel going downwards, full of ruins of all kinds with many tunnels leading off the main one. The main shaft is impossibly long, nobody knows how long exactly and it is known that if you were to go all the way down you would never come back up.
The main shaft is enormous too, the parts of it that have been explored - over three miles in width once you get more than a few hundred feet down. While the beginning of the shaft is incredibly narrow, wide enough for one person to pass in one direction, not for two to pass abreast even horizontally-on, it widens out dramatically shortly thereafter, where the only sign of human habitation you can find is. Once the tunnel widens one finds their way to the archeologist settlement of Banksia, named after Alfred Banks who founded it and was the only man to come out of the first tunnel exploration mission alive and sane. Banksia is only small, a few buildings and a few dozen tents, but it is the prospect of something truly new and undiscovered or explored in Fiore that continually draws more and more people.
Despite the fact that venturing into Hell's Descent is an almost literal death sentence...
