Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

I admit i ain't exactly that good in prose writing aka catchy phrases, if you have any suggestion, it is more than welcome and i am sure some avid comic readers will catch the wolverine reference in the ideology.

Minor edit: Changed ideology a bit, should be more fitting now.

Quatro Ceberus
Be it by applied magic or military might.
Cerberus gets it done. No excuses.

-The Quatro Cerberus Motto

As one of the oldest guild in the country although not as old as their anti-thesis, Lamia Scale, Quatro Cerberus is a guild for those with no nonsense attitude and subscribe to the philosophy of using magic as a tool, rather than a gift that makes them superior to others or some arcane mystery that needs to be solve.

Focusing on applied magic research rather than wasting resources in theorical researches about magic and using the research to clean fiore of it's nastiest criminals that other guilds can't touch without dealing with a ton of red tape from the magic council. The reason for this the fact that Quatro Cerberus is not a official guild but an independent back with full military endorsement since it was establish by former rune knights and magic researchers who grew disappointed with the bureaucracy of the magic council and the stagnation of applied magical research in recent years. Because of it origins, QC is the only guild that responds only to the authority of the Fioran military, explaining the close ties between the knights of fiore and the guild along with the guild placing great emphasis on martial discipline and honor, marking them with a tradition of being a mercenary group famed for their do-or-die attitude.

When it comes to the job preferences, Quatro Cerberus is know for its pragmatic views on it, as they believe in helping all people regardless of their affiliation or past so they get jobs that would often be going to a dark guild but never anything outright criminal, but jobs that would normally pass as underhanded and morally ambiguous but never illegal

Guild Objectives & Ideals
  • The first is create and train a highly capable task force capable of dealing with whatever problem is presented to them with machine-like precision and surgical cleanness, for a reasonable price that is.

  • The second is to use the experience of their task force then develop new magics and technologies for every day use and sell them to the public, at reasonable prices, to fund their guild operations.

Because of these objectives and the militarist mentality of the guild as whole, it puts a particular effort in recruiting mages who have peculiar magics or skilled individuals but QC is not in any way elitist and firmly believes that all who wish to be among the ranks may join and will be more than welcome as long as they are willing to uphold the ideals of the guild.

  • Never abandon your comrades for they will watch your back and keep you safe in the battlefield. Traitors & Deserters will be court martialed & shot

  • Be practical and self-made above all. if it a problem that can be solved with just wits, do it with wits instead of wasting magic power.

  • We respond exclusively to the Fioran Military, no else. Any mage not bearing our crest is never to be acknowledge as an authority. Likewise, always show respect and salute high ranked knights in the vicinity

  • Be honorable and just but never forget where your loyalties lie. Never must you forget that you are a cerberus first, man second. Mission is always first

  • Always be willing to share any new tech or weaponry that you might find during missions or obtained on your own.

  • Never be at anything but your absolute best. What you are represents us a whole. If you are weak we are more than happy to make you strong.

  • Whatever your job is, remember: Be polite, be efficient and have at least 5 plans to deal with any eventuality. We only accept success, capture or death...not excuses!

  • You shall punch in the face anyone who dare mock our guild by calling it 'Quatro Puppy." No Exceptions.

braver, just some suggestions or rewording:

Motto:
Protocol comes above all else and that is to deliver success at all expense

Goals & Objectives:
The first is to establish and train a highly capable task force on dealing with whatever problem may be presented to them with machine-like precision and surgical cleanness, for a reasonable price that is.

The second is to expand the weapons and magic research division by the accumulation of experiences of the task force and magical engineers to develop new magic and technologies for every day use and sell them to the public, at reasonable prices, to fund their guild operations.

Random quote:
Dead ends are human obstacles but unless you stop, they remain abstract and not a threat at all

but then, as is, it looks okay, though there is still something missing. i dunno what

"Be it by applied magic or military might.
Protocol comes above all else. Deliver success at all expense."

would have the issue of, we have done the job too cheaply spend more money!!!

try

"Be it through applied magic or military might.
Protocol comes above all else. Deliver success at any expense."

another problem is protocol is never flexible enough to deliver success at any expense.

"Be it through applied magic or military might the end result is the same.
A better tomorrow, for which we get paid."

I don't see why QC should answer to anyone, yes they should respect the knights, but tensions between them would be high due to QC's blunt way of dealing with... delicate situations.

"We respond exclusively to the Fioran Military, no else. Any mage not bearing our crest is never to be acknowledge as an authority. Likewise, always show respect and salute high ranked knights in the vicinity"

but we

"that other guilds can't touch without dealing with a ton of red tape from the magic council."

those don't work together, yes we deal with the problem that would create a lot of red tape, but then we do not deal with red tape. let the knights and magic council cop the fallout. we got paid.

"Be honorable and just but never forget where your loyalties lie. Never must you forget that you are a cerberus first, man second. Mission is always first"

I would drop Mission is always first from the end. as that can conflict with the first dot point in that list. And honour may get in the way of delivering success at any expense.

First some clearing out for ghost:

by protocol, i mean military protrocol.

As in how to preform a certain action without loses and maximun damage to enemy, is not about limiting one's action. if you read any books about war you will know right away is not glorious and protocol is generally tune for achieving this for maximum efficiency

i understand it not.

your fixation with making QC a whole 'gang' of honorless sell sword by making them focus so much on the money. What i want for QC is guild that is a bit of both world, a sort of governmental endorsed honorable black ops mercenary band. I know it sounds contradicting but it is possible to maintain a certain degree of dignity while being a magnificent bastard.

that's what makes it magnificent.

The knights know of our ways respect them as we follow the methodology of the knight the only difference is that we can go the extra length with our mission without dealing with a red tape issues from the magic council because we are military approved, therefore we do not respond to the magic council as an authority but while we are given a lot of leeway by the side of the military, we are still bond to their orders...sure we can twist ALOT but in the end, we just can't do whatever it please us. if we did, we would be a dark guild, at least in my book.

Remember that the magic council rules the guilds, not the country. The king and the military does.

You don't get what I am saying at all.

Protocol never has an answer for everything, and during times of strife or war it can't always be followed.

I do not want them to be honorless sell swords, the saying you have disagrees with nearly everything my QC mage is. Frankly I think we should toss out the saying/motto thing altogether.

Remember QC is a guild and is under the jurisdiction of the magic council. Also from what I have seen of FT the knights also serve the magic council, and no mention of any royalty. Yes it is called the kingdom of Fiore, but that doesn't mean there is a king. Yes I understand that a king and royalty have been written into FTG and frankly I don't see the point in their existence.

I will conceded that I am unable to correctly put into words the view I have of QC. So I will just continue of as if this isn't happening. After all, you can't get kicked out of a guild.

Well what ghost brings up is true, there really isn't anything that interferes with anything anyone does when in a Guild. I mean yeah a dark mage joining a light guild to infiltrate it but does dark missions has no real consequences. Vise versa as well even if staff might intervene but no real Guild rules/bonuses or anything that really affects who you join or what you do for or against them.

I understand putting some rules on a Guild in which the site has no gain or loss. That really is the issue with what bravers doing here. So maybe getting rid of the motto for now wouldn't hurt. I know when i return to full speed I plan on getting back to my project that I had back when i was staff and making more stuff for Guilds so we can give REAL reasons to join not just based on popularity or amount of members. Giving all guilds a chance of course.

Back on subject, like before it might be good to drop the motto till later. Unless someone else has ideas on how to reword it?

QC i want to see is an independent guild as Sorcerie Crime in the manga. We are the neutral guys here and the best way to go about without being illegal is being under the support of the military instead of the magic council. I am doing this to truly make an unique neutral guild, instead of just a fancy title to the same bullshit as the other guilds, which are also getting upgrades ghost, you know this.

Also remember (this is canon FT fact) that the military arm of the guild are the rune knights and not all knights we have seen in the manga are rune knights. My understanding of this is that rune knights bow their heads to magic council and the rest of the normal non-magical knights (like the ones we use here) bow to the king and it's military

Another fact that does exist in FT canon, is that there is in fact a king, just barely mentioned once but he do exist so get your facts straight, proof of this aside the wiki facts is that when marijeanne explain the guilds structure to lucy during the ballam alliance arc, it show the magic council below another box which was the authority of the king himself.

But i shall compromise and remove the motto thing until later on as Dycho has suggested.

Edit: for the sake of bb code strucuture, i just used the canon motto of quatro ceberus of "Your soul will always be wild!" until we decide something for our version of the guild.
