Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

San listened to the entire thing before even moving again; to which, surprisingly, he returned his sword to its customary place. "Hrm," the undead mage grunted, shifting his gaze from the man to the grave. "Is the grave not to fixed of its error, returned to its natural state then? Or is that also prohibited by a force of magic?" he asked. As San spoke, his voice began changing once more, returning to his traditional cold and quiet tone, the ominous masses that made up the horrifying tone vanishing silently. The sprites too, died down their hostility; little by little, they fluttered back out of view, reentering the old man's clothing or through his spectacles. Soon enough, he seemed to have reverted fully back into his normal self, though facing the tomb motionlessly.

Kuilei himself moved back a bit, or at least, into a less protective position; he had no magic skill in discerning intentions behind words, but the golem could at the very least tell that San's ill will had somehow vanished, and he himself consequently relaxed. "Master San, are you...alright?" he cautiously asked, watching San stare at the tombstone. The undead mage did not reply at first, and the golem turned to look at the others; upon returning his gaze to San, though, Kuilei found a certain aura about the undead mage, one he had almost never experienced from him before. "Master San, that...that is-" the golem couldn't even finish his words, as suddenly his entire body shifted like he had on the train. His body turned rounder, a more dirty color, and his crystals began to dull before transforming into chains and spikes; the golem's very face shrunk down and forwards like a hunchback, his well-defined features half-obscured by an iron mask. This form! This is a new one- wait a moment. This form, it is by name of Tribulation. There is only one thing that can mean-

"Master San." the golem quietly whispered in a knowing manner, to which San nodded hesitantly. The Master is berating himself for something again, and I know not what. Looking at his arms in his new shape, Kuilei was somewhat disturbed by his own appearance, and slowly examined the rest of his own body. San, in the meanwhile, continued to stare at the grave. "It was not of my own doing, Kaelian," San quietly muttered, his head not turning even a single centimeter. "When one of the dead is dishonored in such a manner, even the spirits of others cry foul, be they related to the one or not. The dead take care of their own." As if to prove his point, a dozen or so sprites suddenly flew out from somewhere below San's feet, circling the tombstone of Clear's mother in a slow dance."Take care not to touch them. They are sensitive."

Kuilei, on the other hand, had just finished examining himself, and, deciding that he didn't like it, tried to change the subject. "In that case I am guessing that we are soon to war with Lamia Scale?"

“War?” Kaelian dropped the tip of the sword so that he would not have to raise it against the man before them who seemed to have introduced himself finally and surprisingly revealed himself to be Clear’s uncle. The sun mage looked to the side and could tell that San was still mad though perhaps he had better control of his “feeling” seeing how he wasn’t sounding so demonically possessed anymore, but the glowing sprites were actually cute and it made him smile. Still, he had to look back and face Clear and get his thoughts out in the open. “War?” he repeated again, “On an entire guild just because of one of their mage’s doing?” he contemplated the thought and knew the consequences would be grave if ever it so happened to become a war of guilds from there on, “I like it.”

He sheathed his sword and patted San like someone who had truly come to appreciate and understand the undead mage’s words. It wasn’t everyday that he could experience a war after all and if his battle frenzy persona could be sated with such an experience, then why not? After all, it meant having to deal with one less annoying voice in his head and perhaps his mood switches would finally end. Or not. And that he’ll still be who he is and just be there for the ride but inevitably unable to change for the better. “Does this mean we get to trespass in their little guild, abduct said mage and torture him?” he added before flashing that stupid childish smile of his that made seemingly made all foolish and dangerous ideas sound so innocent when he would ask, “I don’t suppose we could also take a look around, maybe find some interesting jewel or two? I heard they possess rare relics in their guild. I’ve been trying to get my hands on something so ‘crystally’ and ‘sunny’.”

And as if they had already decided on the plan, Kaelian was now leaning against Kui, muttering words of how fun it could be, like an adventure, all the while playing it safe in case he’d raise the ire of the undead mage, or Clear or that uncle of his. Nevertheless, if doing so could help Clear then he wouldn’t think twice of raging a war. “Hear that Clear? Whether it’s a war or going to hell and back, I’ll be there for you. I won’t let my family get all the fun and leave me out.”

The man looked at San hesitantly after his last question. "Well, the thing is, I never tried fixing the grave. I can't know if there is any magic preventing me from doing so, but I fear I might be found out if I did so. If you want to fix it yourselves, go ahead." he replied. At the mention of a war from both Kuilei and Kaelian, the man sighed and brought a hand to his face. "What is wrong with you people? You are seriously thinking of assaulting an entire mage guild, one of the strongest light guilds at that, just for what one of their mages did? And from the little I know, I find it unlikely that the guild has any involvement in this, I am quite certain the man was acting on his own accord. Do NOT do anything reckless, you hear me? I don't care what guild you guys are from, if you go against Lamia Scale it will not end well. And you are thinking of involving your guild in personal matters? That's beyond foolish!" he said with a rather passionate voice. "Guys, he's right. Lamia Scape is not our enemy, I'm not so stupid as to confuse the actions of a single man with those of his entire guild." Clear agreed with his uncle, hoping that the airheads he had with him would at least listen to his words.

"Well, if you people are determined to go against an entire guild I don't think you would be afraid of one man. The person you're looking for is a B Class mage, he is quite well known in Belladonna. Jerred Moors, there are few people in that city who haven't heard of this name. There's no doubt that this man is the one behind everything, but you will find out he's no weakling. And as I said before I also suspect there's someone higher than him hiding behind all of this, though that is something you will have to learn on your own. Now that I've told you this, I'll be leaving. Try to stay out of trouble Clear." the man told them and turned around to leave, although he immediately turned back and looked at Clear again. "I almost forgot to introduce myself, the name's William Crystal. If you ever want to learn more about your mother's past feel free to come talk to me in Quatro Cerberus. And one last thing." William extended his hand towards Clear and a scythe appeared in it. "This used to belong to your mother and I want you to have it. It's pointless for me to hold on to it any longer. Farewell and I hope we can meet again nephew." With those last words William left the group, vanishing into thin air.

Clear took a look at the scythe his uncle had just given him, it was well crafted although he had no memories of it. Did this really belong to his mother? That's what he was going to find out now, the reason they were going after this Jerred Moors person. "I was originally planning to ask you if you wanted to come with me after all this, but I doubt you would say otherwise with your attitude up to this point. Okay group, we're off to Belladonna to find this man. I can count on your help, right?" Clear asked the rest while putting the scythe under his cloak. He had a lot of things to consider at that time, a man had just revealed himself to be his uncle, family he never thought he had, and he had also gained an enemy. It felt weird, but thinking of that man made Clear feel furious, something that rarely happened to him. No mercy, those were the words that appeared in his head when thinking about that man. He was going to find him and make him give him all the answers he wanted. "Let's get to the train station, we're catching the next train out of here." Clear said to the rest and turned around to leave the cemetery.

Upon Kuilei's thoughts uttered, and Kaelian's near-instantaneous display of approval, even San shook his head slowly, sighing in exasperation. "All of you calm down. There is no chance of going to war against a legal guild, especially only for such a matter as this." To the side, he grumbled to himself, "And I have no intention of having to explain to Master Vile why we have a mass of legal mages and a horde of Knights on our doorstep." He gazed upon the tombstone for several moments more, as the sprites around him fluttered towards the tomb, vanishing into the ground. "Tch. I should have known. The spirit's long departed this grave. Unusable," he also muttered, though he made sure to say it very, very quietly.

It was as if he immediately lost interest in the grave, as San turned back and with his blade smacked the golem on the side of the head. "Idiot, if you would limit your mouth and expand your mind, imagine the amount of trouble you would save me from having to exert energy hitting you," he rebuked, though he was also not undisturbed by the golem's rather uglier appearance. "I'm sorry, Master San, but I thought-" "Evidently, you weren't thinking." Kuilei stared at the undead mage, uncertain as to whether he should be depressed by the man's words, or relieved at his sudden return to his normal state. "I...I'm sorry, Master San," the golem finally uttered, perplexed.

San merely grunted in response. "Make up for it in Belladonna," he merely commented, turning away and walking behind Clear. "There is nothing more that can be done for her here." Turning to Clear, the undead mage had a few questions for him. "Clear, by any chance - how skilled are you in navigating that city, and in magecraft, or- what do you call it, magic?" He hesitated for a moment, before opening his mouth again. "You see, my...absence, was in the Lavender Forest near that city. I am uncertain how I will fare there now, but I forewarn you that I may be of less help to you there than I should be."

Kuilei, on the other hand, suddenly transformed again, shifting back to his normal form once they exited the cemetery. "Ah! I-I'm back."

Kaelian was just having fun… or partly serious as well when he declared his opinion having to take the side of Kuilei which was to go and wage a war against Lamia Scale, however, everyone else seemed alarmed by their enthusiasm and quickly had to negate the idea so that both he and the golem would be brought back to reality. Risk vs Rewards, how boring. In any case, he got the lighter end of the three’s quick negation as Kuilei suffered a good whacking from his master, the undead Old Man San. Though Kaelian somehow felt a bit guilty since it has he who did most of the affirmation that they should wage war while Kuilei only suggested it, but he figured the undead mage didn’t want to whack him personally.

“Awww… poor, Kui. You got the bad end of the stick again.” He said, putting his arms wide so he would hug the golem and shake when the said golem had suddenly changed shape again to reflect his normal appearance. “Wow. Do you have some sort of multiple personality disorder that you changed each and every time?” he shouldn’t ask such things when he was the one with the said disorder. Nevertheless, he looked back to the three and bowed apologetically with a smile, “All right, all right. No war.” He then followed behind as soon as everyone was decided on what their next move should be. “So… Belladona… I remember running along its streets before.”

He couldn’t help but hum while recalling the avid memory from the past when he suddenly jumped bursting through a café’s window and began running for dear life. A couple of policemen came after him and the chase started. It was just around the corner of third and fourth street when he would turn and then wreck a carefully stack of canned tomatoes along the general merchandise store’s front, the towering display crashing down like an avalanche. Then he hopped to the foyer and up the roofs were the chase got more intense when nearby mages had decided to join. To sum it up, he managed to go around town with such a hearty chase and all the while he didn’t burn anything… until the last drop which he had to use supernova to completely get away and the unfortunately barn by the outskirts where he reappeared had burst into flames… free fried chickens for everyone.

“Yup. Such a lovely place. Let’s just make sure we don’t have any business down third and fourth street, okay? I doubt you have anything to do with their pizzeria and ristorantes anyway.” And he followed them without having to explain why.

Navigating Belladonna, Clear thought back and remembered the couple of times he had been to that city. Then a shiver ran down his spine when he remembered the events of that day. "I can say with certainty that we won't get lost, I know the city's layout at least that much. And as about my magic... I can't say I am really that skilled but I have some decent techniques up my sleeve. And this scythe I just got, it is really well-crafted and I also have the feeling there's more to it than meets the eye." Clear replied to San. "Still, why would my mother own such a weapon? Guess we'll find out along with everything else." Kaelian mentioned something about avoiding certain streets of that city, he probably caused some trouble there in the past, just like Clear. "It seems like we all have our reasons for avoiding that city or certain parts of it, I wonder if there's something about it and Tartaros mages..." Clear said jokingly. His actions could be said to be the most extreme of the three, after all getting lost in the forest next to the city and getting chased out of a restaurant were completely different from blowing up a mansion.

The walk back to the station was pretty quiet, they would have all the time in the world to talk during the train ride. And if anything similar with the last time happened they would also have complete privacy. Clear went to purchase his ticket and checked to see that the next train was not too far away. He turned back to his group to make sure they all understood the situation properly, Kaelian was more the case of the three. "Just to make sure you don't get sidetracked, I will recite our objectives again. We will find Jerred Moors and make him tell us everything that's going on. We will not under ANY circumstances get involved with Lamia Scale, I'm looking at you two Clear pointed at Kaelian and Kuilei and we will also cause no commotion in the city. Do you hear that? NO commotion. I'm still looking at you two." Clear said to this group in a voice low enough so bystanders couldn't hear them. "Oh, and one last thing. Kuilei, make sure you transform away from the train so you don't scare the other passengers. I don't want a repeat from last time." he said to the golem bluntly.

After saying all that Clear took a deep breath to calm down. The ride was going to be shorter this time so getting food seemed unnecessary, especially since they had lunch not too long ago. Still, he had the feeling that Kaelian was going to buy something again, if not, steal something from the train. He sighed at the thought of his group, how did he end up with such people again? Excluding San each and every one of them was trouble. "I wonder how things are going to unfold." he wondered one last time as their departure was drawing closer.

"Tsk. Belladonna is not quite an optimal dark magi hangout, if you understand what I mean," San replied, though his own tone somewhat softened. "Perhaps it is all coincidence, or maybe not? I am not intent on finding that much out." He spent the rest of the walk in silence, and, when they entered the train station, went ahead to purchase a pair of tickets for himself and his golem after Clear, gesturing to nonverbally communicate his desired destination; thankfully, here too the officer appeared to be accustomed to seeing the extraordinary, and the exchange ended successfully without a hint of trouble. Kuilei, in the meantime, was sluggishly pacing behind his master, carefully considering what San had said to him; the smack on the face didn't hurt the way an actual combat wound would, but it had the effect like that of a parent's discipline.

On the other hand, when Clear gave his instructions, Kuilei turned to listen, then turned to see his master's reactions - San merely nodded in agreement. "Under...stood," Kuilei not unreluctantly responded, though he tapped his finger against his chin for a moment, thinking. "But if this man is a member of Lamia, what are the chances that he would not simply call on his fellow guild mates, or even the Knights? I mean, to the view of others, we are dark mages entering the base city of a legal guild, and we are trying to force information out of a legal mage, aren't we?" he wondered aloud, much to San's annoyance.

"Worry of that on the train, Kuilei," San said, as the train pulled into view. "And listen to Clear." With that, San waited until the train's doors opened, and almost immediately boarded it to find the best seat he could. This train was a tad bit different from the last one - the doors were noticeably wider, to the point where Kuilei could - and did - successfully enter without transforming this time around. As such, the golem took his place standing next to San, holding on to one of the rails - a strange sight, they were, and even without Kuilei having to transform their particular area was slightly less populated than the other ones. "Well, the trip to Poinsettia is not a particularly short one," San estimated, leaning his head back. A few more moments, and he became motionless, waiting for the train ride to end.

Lamia Scale...I wonder what sort of mages populate such a guild.

Kaelian frowned whenever Clear mentioned him and Kuilei as if they were bound to get into trouble because of them. He almost had the urge to bite Clear’s hand to be honest. Nevertheless, he tried not to argue back as it would only be a waste of time and effort and well, braincells as he feared that San would suddenly swat that large sword of his to slap him as well. So, he merely nodded and agreed when they started moving off to the train station. It was there that he finally decided to buy some tickets properly, though he looked like a punished kid as he realized that would mean the last of everything he owned. He even looked back at Clear with teary eyes when he realized that he has finally spent the last bit of his allowance, now he would really have to stick with them and try to get to the other boy’s goodside if he planned to get back to Coreopsis in one piece. He wasn’t in the mood for looking for an odd job just to earn his keep.

The train, this time was bigger and Kuilei managed to fit through and even along the aisle of the coaches. It was fascinating but also a warning that Belladonna was a place of exuberance, therefore they should be on their guard. San somehow pointed out a good argument as to why dark mages often have something against Belladona and more so when the thought of Tartaros making a scene in the area would spark chaos with Lamia Scale. But he didn’t have to voice out his idea of gladly joining the fight if it involved guild warfare or the sort.

So, he took his place on the seat nearest to the window so that he could enjoy the sightseeing part of the trip while Kuilei stood guard like a sentry next to San. He wondered if the trip would be as long as San said, and if so that could mean that they might reach the place by night.“Oh, the nights in Belladona are awesome. Lots of lights and dancing by downtown as there seems to be a famous dining spot with lots of tourists. It’s also a good gathering for the Lamia Scale, so maybe we can start investigating there. I mean, we can pose as some fans looking for a famous mage of their guild, right? I’m sure if Kui and I put on our cute faces, they’ll buy it.” Or so he said, but truth to be told, they might as well look as if they’re picking up a fight if he and the golem were the frontmen. In any case, soon the train began to stir and the chug-chugs began to echo. It was time to leave Oshibana.
