Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It had been a pretty long time since Clear had joined Tartaros. A lot of things had happened and he had settled down in Coreopsis, he could practically call it his home now. But even though he had a quiet life there (as quiet as the life of a Tartaros mage can be) he hadn't forgotten about his home town, Oshibana. He hadn't visited it once in all the years since he first left it, so he thought it was about time he went back. If anything, he should at least visit his mother's grave every so often. That was the reason why he had woken up pretty early this day and he was in his room preparing things for his journey. It was a pretty long way to Oshibana, even by train, so he had to make sure to stock up on enough food for him and water for Suina. He made sure he put everything in his backpack, he gathered the rest of his belongings, and left his room. Suina was still sleeping which was a good thing, at least she wasn't going to start asking him all sorts of questions like she usually did. That question "are we there yet?" resounding every 5 or so minutes could get really annoying. And he had no idea how long the train ride to Oshibana took.

Clear moved down the stairs to the guild hall where he approached the exit but came to a halt. He was likely to be gone for a few days and he hadn't notified anyone of this. He should at least let him teammates know somehow. He took a piece of paper from the request board and scribbled down a short message "I will be gone for a few days" which he slipped under the door to Kenji's room. He had no idea if Kenji was in or not, but he wouldn't wake him up just to tell him he was going to leave the guild for a few days. He went back down the stairs to the guild hall, this time determined to leave. It was going to be a little lonely traveling by himself, especially since he always had company these past few weeks, but at least he had Suina to talk to. Although you couldn't exactly call their conversations productive, they usually ended up with Suina asking for something to drink. He sometimes wondered why he picked her up that day, even though she was the one that followed him home. Clear put his hand on the doorknob but as he was about to open the door and leave, a sounds behind him made him turn around and investigate its source.

Bam! C-C-C-Crack!

Clear would turn around to find San and Kuilei, have just exited one of the rooms on the first floor into the main hall, inspecting a hole above the doorframe they were passing through suspiciously in the shape of the golem's head. "Kuilei!" San whispered, though loudly enough for anyone around to hear. "What did I say about ducking when you go through a doorframe?" The golem bowed. "I-I'm sorry, Master San. I did not realize it until I went through it." "This is the fourth time you have smashed a hole in a building by walking in it in three days. At this rate I will have to make you crawl every time we're indoors," the undead mage reprimanded, sighing.

"Never mind, never mind - let's just go. Someone else will take care of and be blamed for it," he decided, much to the golem's chagrin. "But wait, Master San- we did the damage, should we not also perform the repairs?" It asked, causing San to groan. "No. No. No. I refuse to allow you to take over as my conscience," he muttered, as he continued on his way through the guild hall; obviously, to refill his gourd. "Master San, is it a good idea to drink at this time? It's barely even morning, and the sun-" He was interrupted by the mage holding a hand out at him, palm facing towards him. "Kuilei," he responded, "If you are worrying about possibility of my getting drunk, allow me to enlighten you. Three words: I. Am. Dead."

That shut up the golem good, and so San continued to fill his gourd in peace. Taking a swig of it, he turned around to finally catch sight of Clear. "Look what the golem woke up this morning," he muttered under his breath, before calling out to the younger and obviously-still-alive water mage. "And what are you doing, so early in the morning? Did Kuilei wake you up as well?" He greeted, while Kuilei waved at him. "Where's the little Suina?" At this, San eyed Kuilei with a disapproving stare - or at least, as disapproving as one could get under spectacles and an emotionless face. "Kuilei. You are starting to scare me now." "But you are incapable of strong emotions, didn't you say?" the golem protested. "That was not literal, Kuilei," San groaned, "But stop asking for the water sprite every time we pass by Clear. You're not the master of her, nor a relative. It's unnerving, that's what it is," he loudly whispered at Kuilei.

A knock was heard from the frontdoor. The vibrantly polished of dark golden double doors with intricate designs made of bolts, metal plates and iron handles suddenly jerked open after a third knock, making so little of a squeak as its edges scrape along the stone arch on top and the stone floor. What appeared as sunlight made the man a living silhouette as it took him a few more steps to finally regain color from the imposing light jabbing at him from behind. It was Kaelian and he was yawning so wide and stretching his arms that he barely saw Clear and San and the golem Kuilei, even as far as hitting Kuilei with the stretch and almost threatened to topple the other all over again but that didn’t happen. Instead, he stopped as he quickly whipped back his arm and shook it, a little tear showing on his eyes as he blew on the sore palm. It hurt having to swing an arm and hit rock.

“Ohhai, Kuilei, how are you?” he quickly greeted though a hurt look still showered his face before he turned and finally saw the others that were gathered in that place at that very moment, “Oh, is everyone going out on a field trip today? I love traveling a lot too but it gets too constant and boring from time to time.” He was about to wave them off and leave to who knows where in the guild, for as much as a sparking spectacular as he was during his first time setting foot in the guild, he wasn’t much of a stand-out character in the days that passed, even so much as becoming more like a ghost that simply dropped by and appeared or nonchalantly walking from room to room and across the hall and exiting the doors by night only to return in the morning at first light, sometimes with a few bruises or a cut that made the impression that he was brawler at night. But there were conspiracies and rumors that said something else, that he was in fact in close relations with some from the other guilds, though that may need clear evidence to be proven.

He stopped a yawn from escaping his mouth before he suddenly turned and saw the empty hall and then looked back at the two. Piecing what small information he could gather, he took a sit on a nearby stool, leaning ever close to the golem before observing the two. “Go on. I never get to watch what Tartaros members do correctly when the hall is bustling, but now that it’s just us, I can observe what daily life is supposed to be.”

The sound Clear heard was created by none other than Kuilei, San's golem. Clear was greeted by the strange pair, as he was the only other person in the guild hall at the time. "Heh, as much as that would have been amusing, Kuilei was not the one that woke me up. I got up by myself early, I have to leave for something." he replied to San's question, at the same time thinking that Suina might have woken up from all the noise. "It's okay San, I think Suina also enjoys Kuilei's company. She's with me, she's still sleeping inside her gourd. Let me see if she's woken up yet." Clear said with a small laugh, then he opened the gourd's lid where he found Suina was just opening her eyes from all the noise. "It's noisy..." she whined as she was rubbing her eyes. She then popped out of the gourd and looked around to identify the source of the sounds. Upon seeing Kuilei, her face brightened up and she started waving at him. "Good morning mister rock!" then she saw San, "Good morning mister rock's master!" she greeted both with a cheerful voice. Her child-like innocence was something Clear enjoyed, although her whining could get annoying some times.

Clear realized that San and Kuilei had actually never heard Suina talk, and so he proceeded to explain. "You might be wondering how she became able to talk so fast, that's how her kind grows up. It all depends on how many places I take her to, the more she learns the faster she will grow. Although she is still just a little kid in human standards. Anyway, what has you two up so early? Heading out to do some work? Though I guess not, seeing as you're already drinking. If you'll excuse me, I have to get going, I want to take an early train to Oshibana." Clear said before turning to the door, only to get interrupted once more. It was Kaelian, the only person in the world who had the ability to irritate Clear that much. Was it his attitude, the way he talked and acted, his childish questions, Clear was not completely sure, but this man annoyed him to no end. Trying his best not to snap at the man, he replied in the calmest way he could. "We are not going out on a field trip, I am heading out alone on important business. You are free to sit here with San if you like, but I will be taking my leave now." He then turned to the door one final time and opened it, exiting the guild. The thought of inviting San along passed his mind, but he didn't want to drag him along on what was definitely going to be a boring trip.

Golems cannot experience pain the way humans do; therefore, unfortunately, Kuilei was incapable of mirroring Kaelian's hurt; however, he felt the shock of collision, and that much he could understand. This time around, though, the golem quickly lowered itself, its arms holding onto the ground until it regained stability. When it stood back up, then it spoke. "A good morning to you as well, Kaelian," Kuilei politely greeted, waving a large stone arm. "You are mistaken; we are not going anywhere today, at least, not that I know of. Master San?" With the golem's query, the undead mage couldn't help save sigh. "We'll see about that, Kuilei." Turning around, though, he crankily muttered to himself. "Was intending on trying to find out how many gourds of drink I could hold before I feel effect, but that doesn't look likely to happen anymore."

Turning back to Clear, both man and golem alike nodded in understanding - at least, until they saw Suina appear. When she popped up, Kuilei began waving happily, but the moment she spoke, both man and golem alike froze. Had Clear looked closer, he would've noticed that San's mouth was open, and the golem's jaw dropped about half a meter down, his mouth held together only because his hands were holding onto the bottom part. "I- I see," San replied, waving his gourd at Clear in a bidding manner. "Well then, I bid you congratulations, and wish you well on whatever you endeavor today." Waving as he looked on, San waited until Clear had exited, to to turn towards Kuilei. "Kuilei. You're mouth is still hanging."

The golem, though, appeared not to have heard San's words. "She- She's grown-" it seemed to be muttering to itself, as Kuilei reattached his jaw properly. "She-She called me Mister Rock..." San, out of a ghost of concern, looked up towards Kuilei's eyes. "Kuilei? Are you okay?" He noticed that the golem's eyes looked unusually vacant, even for a golem. "Kuilei?" The golem didn't take notice, though, murmuring to itself. "She's...so..." Kuilei groaned, hitting his head hard with an open palm. "No. No, I know where this is going. Kuilei, no. Do not. Do you understand me. I forbid you from-" His words were thrown to the dust, as Kuilei's golem hands grabbed onto San like machinery, and the golem suddenly began to sprint towards the door. "So cute! Wait, Sire, spare a moment! I must talk to little Suina!" San, being dragged like a piece of cloth, could do nothing but complain, shouting - "Kuilei! Get ahold of yourself! don't tell me you've unofficially adopted the water sprite as a sister!" his words fell on deaf ears, though, and the undead mage could only groan. "This is exactly like that one time with that will o' the wisp..."

So, out the guild doors ran another pair, a charging golem with a dead-like man being dragged behind him, rampaging towards Clear and, more importantly, Suina.

Looking up, Kaelian couldn’t help but display that silly grin on his face. He somehow knew from the way Clear would react, the quick coldness of his voice and the adamant want to leave that somehow he was making a mark for himself, if only it were not ire in the face of his fellow guildmates. He chuckled lightly as he watched Clear exit through the doors before looking up to find Kuilei in a rather strange stance and while he was about to ask San what it was all about, he was surprised when the golem suddenly propped the older mage with one quick swoop and dashed towards the doors, albeit pushing through and destroying the hinges as both panels would strike as hard as they could against the stone surface before bouncing back to its rather more destroyed nature. If anything, Kaelian admitted the strange strength of the door to keep itself intact for the many times it has been abused. But perhaps it was just the stubbornness of the guild rubbing off on its items as well.

And with a snicker the sun mage propped himself up from the stool and stretched one more time. He looked back to the closed door behind a pillar and beneath the stairs – the archive room – or so he was told and still to be allowed to enter. Perhaps if he were to achieve a certain feat then he would be permitted with access. Perhaps if he were more decisive, more… friendly to fellow guildmates and command their respect and trust would he also be equally trusted for something so guarded as the archives, though in reality it was a room of cobwebs and tomes and whatever else that was left uncleaned when the supposed room cleaner had died. “A fieldtrip it is!” he finally decided as a plan had hatched and he ran out of the guild hall to follow the other two.

But as he neared, the the information finally pieced together to form somewhat of a puzzle. Oshibana town was where Clear intended to go and if he were to ride the first train, no doubt he would reach before high noon. But what could be in Oshibana town that required one to leave so early. It could not be a mission for as far as Kaelian knew it involved a team and Clear was planning to leave alone. Then again, Suina could very well be part of his team though the little water sprite would be far from helpful if the going gets tough for as far as Kaelian was concerned, or rather, as far as his tempting and more dangerous persona was concerned, he could very well fry the little sprite with the sun’s power. “No!” he exclaimed at the thought as he shook his head and slapped himself, just as he passed Kuilei and San, just as he passed Clear and Suina. He knew he was slipping in to another a shift, perhaps his mood was being playful, perhaps not, but he didn’t like it. The very thought that he would be capable of harming someone of his family was unforgivable.

“What family? You only joined in name but not by heart. Surely you jest to think they are now like Guido?” the voice said in his head as he came to a stop, listening sadly to the voice, “Surely, you realize that everything is all a lie.” And he turned to get a glimpse of Clear and Suina, and San and Kuilei, how strange a group yet the atmosphere was fun and vibrant, “Surely, you jest that you’re treated like one of them now.”

“What choice do I have?” he asked like a whisper, “I’ve gotten myself into this. If I don’t believe in anything at all, I might as well leave. Better to have to faith in something small than nothing at all.”

And as if to make a point, he struck both hands to his cheeks and pinched himself, listening to one last scowl of the voice in his head before turning to walk back to the four again and pointing to the east where the large flag hangs, the arch way and the concrete tiles where grey smoke escapes from the vents. “The station’s that way. First trip to Oshibana town leaves in a few minutes if I remember correctly. Good thing I know the train lines from past journeys. So, tickets for five?” he said with a smile as he approached the tree, hopefully not splashed by Suina or slapped by the dearly charmed golem.

As this day would have it Clear was not going to leave the guild in peace. As he was walking through the street a few meters away from the guild's entrance, he heard a loud noise. A noise that sounded like an earthquake. Reluctantly, he turned around to see Kuilei running out of the guild, dragging San along with him. "What the..." he uttered before the golem stopped in front of him. He looked out of breath...not really but he seemed to be in a hurry for some reason. Kuilei didn't seem to be looking at Clear, instead his gaze was focused upon Suina. Clear immediately knew what this was all about, kind of. Kuilei wanted to talk to Suina now that he had found out she can talk. He thought it would be best to leave the talking to Suina, but not before making a point. "Kuilei, I understand that you want to talk to Suina, but don't you think you should let go of San first? He doesn't exactly look comfortable." Clear said while pointing to San who was lying on the ground while being pulled by Kuilei. Upon hearing her name, Suina turned around and looked at Kuilei, but not before laughing at the state San was in. Clear wanted to smack her for that, but he was barely holding himself back as well.

"What is it Mister rock?" she asked in her usual cheerful tone. At that point, Kaelian also exited the guild house, passed by each and every one of them before finally turning around and looking at them. Clear thought he was acting strange, even for him, but as he talked with his usual smiling face, he disregarded it as if nothing had happened. For some reason he was no longer irritated at him, it was most likely attributed to the fact that he was actually talking sense this time. "Five? Okay, a small side note first, Suina doesn't pay, she counts as a kid. And how can you be so sure San and Kuilei want to come with us? I mean, fine, if you want to follow me there's nothing I can do to stop you, but you can't drag them along against their will. And now to the main point, are you really sure you want to come? It's not going to be a fun trip, I am mostly going there to take care of some personal stuff. There will probably be nothing for you to do or see, Oshibana is a small town without much. It is most likely that you will get bored while accompanying me but if you still want, feel free to follow me." he replied to Kaelian as he continued on his way to the station.

The idea of someone coming with him was not a bad one, if anything, it would serve to keep him some company for the trip there. Stopping for a second and turning around to face Kaelian and the rest, he talked in an almost cheerful voice. "I already knew where the station is, but I appreciate the thought." Clear was not used to having much company, one could even call him socially awkward. But for some reason he felt at ease around these people, any member of Tartaros he met turned out to be a good guy, even Ryo. Speaking of Ryo, Clear remembered an important detail. "By the way San, I already talked to Ryo and delivered your message, you don't have to worry about that. Although I would have appreciated some more information on him beforehand." Clear remembered his encounter with Ryo and how he was tricked into buying him alcohol, had San given him a proper description of the man this could have all been avoided. It wasn't like he held a grudge over the incident or anything, but he didn't like being played for a fool, he was sure no one liked that. Not even Kaelian, and especially people like San.

Kuilei looked at Clear confusedly, before turning around to see that San, who had been dragged like a rag doll, still held tightly by his stone hands. "Oops," The golem uttered, letting go; San fell to the ground, motionless. "No! Master San, rise!" the golem shouted, alarmed by his master's seeming lack of consciousness. With urgency and swiftness, the golem helped the undead mage up, gripping on his shoulders tightly and using his own body for San to lean on. "Master San, are you alright?" Thankfully, he didn't shake the poor man, who slowly came to after a few moments.

"Kui...Lei..." San slowly said, his voice suddenly become far more unsteady and quieter than it had been. "Master San! What is it?" the golem concernedly asked, though he didn't hold on as San pushed himself away from the golem, standing on his own two feet - which had suddenly become a lot more unsteady, as they were visibly shaken. "Master San? Master San!" The undead mage opened his mouth again, a long pause before he spoke. "You...idiot. You shook up and unbalanced...all the sprites in me." Upon hearing this, the golem immediately bent down onto his knees. "Forgive me, Master San! Are you injured, or permanently disabled in any manner?!"

"I'll be fine," San insisted, waving the golem off. "Just...leave me be for a bit." With that, the old man took out his sword from behind his back, using it as a makeshift cane - his legs were visibly weakened by the ordeal. Turning to Clear and Kaelian, nodding in appreciation. "Thank you, Clear. I am hoping it wasn't too troublesome, talking to him? The first time I met him, he roasted one of my underlings..." His voice trailed off abruptly, as he seemed to temporarily lose his voice. His mouth moved, but nothing came out for several seconds, until finally he turned towards Kaelian in particular. "...not as if I have any business to perform today; I will come with you all, and allow me to pay for my own and my golem's tickets." He didn't seem to have noticed his own silence.

Kuilei, in the meantime, was busy interacting with Suina. "When did you learn to speak, little Suina? You are growing, so fast already!" The golem's mouth twisted into a smile, or something similar to a smile. "In any case, there's a gift I have to give you, yes." He turned around, touching where a human's pockets would be if he were human. "I just need to find it..."

Though he had suggested it all of a sudden, his face lit up when Clear actually thought it wouldn’t be so much of a bad idea for him to tag along. Kaelian smiled childishly at that and though the other only gave shallow warnings about the trip to be somewhat boring since it wasn’t anything as explosive as a mission would be, he quickly patted the other and said, “No problem! I like it easy every now and then anyway.” He really was trying his best to somehow fit in and hopefully not stand out so much that he seemed almost different. But then, with people like Clear and San and their two non-human companions, as far as Kaelian was concerned, anything can never be too normal.

Speaking of the undead, turning to San, it would appear as though he was now slowly regaining his bearing. He was leaning over his sword and saying something about sprites and stability and shaking knees. Kaelian looked down and did observe the older man being slightly wobbly and was even tempted to poke at him and see if he’d fall but the thought of the rock golem slapping him in retaliation stopped him with just the thoughts of the act. Then again, maybe another opportunity will present itself in the future and he could see what’s up with San. “Hey Old Man San, are you all right? Oh that’s right! Coming along would help you relax. Something along the lines of a vacation always gets the muscles relaxing or something.” And he proceeded to stand beside San and still wanted to poke but only lightly, “Just checking if you need help to the station.” He grinned when he was a bit disappointed the older man didn’t topple down.

In any case, they would follow Clear towards the station while Kaelian looked interestingly at the way the two creatures talked, chuckling a bit at how Kuilei was looking for something inside invisible pockets, “Should I chip off a bit of rock?” he teased before whispering into the golem’s… uh… ears wherever it was supposed to be located, “You’re a bit fast to pull it on a girl like Suina. Don’t you think starting out as friends is better than jumping to the line of proposing, if you are looking for the ring.” And then as if like a child, he turned quickly towards the station and spotted a taiyaki stand and dashed towards it so he could buy before everyone gets their tickets and leave him stranded. “I’ll be right back!” he hollered while eyes looked at the sizzling outer coat of the crispy fish battered coat of red azuki bean paste, already drooling.

And just in time, he got three bags of half dozens, fresh and hot for their trip and rounded up with the others by the ticketing booth, eager to share his little snacks with them, “Got each a bag, but I dunno if Sui and Kui eats though.” And already he was calling the creatures in a more casual and adorable tone while shortening their names. Really, just like a kid.

Clear watched as the comical pair gave them one of their usual hilarious conversations. The group continued to the station with San struggling to regain his footing, Suina and Kuilei conversing happily, and Kaelian running off to do god knows what. "Um, um, it was, it was, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven... one week ago!" Suina exclaimed happily while counting with her fingers to recall exactly how long ago it was that she finally managed to start talking. Upon hearing about a present, her eyes lit up with excitement, the exact same of a child getting a treat. "A present for me? What, what, what?" she said before jumping out of the gourd and onto Kuilei's head. Clear smiled to himself, it wasn't that long ago that she could barely walk by herself, yet there she was, jumping around other people. Clear ignored Kaelian's comment about the two, it would be more fun to hear Kuilei's reaction to it. While waiting for Kuilei to find the present he was talking about, Suina noticed San still had trouble walking straight. With another light jump, she landed on top of San's shoulders, her weight too low for any person to be annoyed by it.

Clear wondered what it was Suina was planning, then she extended both of her hands towards San and a dim blue light shined upon him. Surprised, he watched as Suina continued doing what it was she was doing, and he waited for her to end before asking, only for Suina to answer his questions herself. "There, are you better now? This light heals." she smiled at San, and then jumped back at Kuilei again. Clear had to take note of that, Suina could now heal injuries. Slightly amazed at her new abilities, Clear received the bag Kaelian gave him and San. "Thanks." he simply said before looking at its contents which revealed a fish-shaped sweet, it was called taiyaki if his memory served right. Upon seeing the sweets, Suina forgot everything about Kuilei and jumped back into Clear's gourd. "Gimme!" she demanded while reaching out to Clear. He sighed, thinking that she was always becoming a troublesome kid, but handed her one of them. "Be careful, they're still hot-" but before he could actually finish his sentence, Suina dived in the gourd with the taiyaki in hand, and came out with it soaked before starting to happily munch on it. "Now it's not hot." she stated triumphantly.

The odd group reached the station not before long, and Clear made his way to the ticket booth. "One ticket for the next train to Oshibana please." he said while taking out the money he needed for the trip. The cashier looked at him with a surprised look, attributed to Suina behind him and the rest of the not-so-common people in the group, but didn't say anything as he gave Clear his ticket. "The train will depart shortly, please make your way to platform 6." Clear thanked the cashier and followed his instructions to get to their train on time. "How exactly is Kuilei going to fit there?" he thought as he looked at the train's doors which were barely bigger than Kuilei himself. The events of what happened earlier in the guild house came back to him, and he shivered at the thought of Kuilei breaking the doors apart.
