Hikari smiled as she placed Green down, upon his request, of course. She showed concern, however as he slouched. He was still so tired. Getting another idea, she dug in her bag once again. This time, she removed a ham and cheese sandwich. It was made with wheat bread, honey ham, and Swiss cheese, with a dab of mustard. Simple, but delicious, none the less. She unwrapped it, tore it in half, then offered one half to Green. "Here, you need to restore your strength. Don't try to turn it down, because I'll make you eat it somehow. Just eat up, alright?" She smiled warmly, placing the sandwich in his hands, she using two of her tails to help support the poor, exhausted fella. She tore her half once more, splitting the half into two pieces. She shared one piece with Zorua while she ate the other half. The bear eyed the food, drooling rather excessively. "Sh-Share, lady! I'm starvin', ya!" Hikari frowned a bit and turned up her nose, taking the last bite of her share of the sandwich, Zorua snickering before gobbling up his piece. The bear sulked and began to sob, tears flowing like waterfalls from those creepy, beady eyes. Still, Hikari felt no sympathy. She grabbed the bear by its ear, she turning to Green with a soft smile. "I think I can smell the children close by. I know it's human scents. However, there is something else mixing with the smell. We may have one more fight before we get those kids home. Let's not waste anymore time. I know the sandwich wasn't much, but perhaps I'll treat you to a real dinner after our job is done. Whether you believe it or not... I can cook... Quite well, too." She grinned and winked, hinting that she heard what he had said back at the Mayor's manor. She chuckled and began to continue onward down the trail, following the scents in the distance. They were getting closer. She could feel it. She was ready to save the children and skin the perverted bear so she and Green could get out of this damn village. Just a little longer.. |

Green smiled at Hikari as she showed concern and let him down from her tails, he watched as she began to dig in her bag and soon pulled out a sandwich, she soon unwrapped it and tore it in half and offered one to him. She also stated that he shouldn't turn it down because she'd make him it eat somehow, and although Green wanted to find out just how she planned to do that she was right and he needed to some food, she added a warm smile and Green accepted the sandwich as it was placed in his hands before finding two of her tails helping support him. He looked a little confused really but he smiled and nodded, "Thank you" He spoke before he began to eat the half sandwich, it was actually pretty good. Ham and cheese and some mustard, not bad, not bad at all. He watched as she tore her half in half again and shared it with Zorua, the bear making a comment before Zorua and Hikari tortured the bear as they ate their halves and snickered at the bear who soon began to sob and cry, before Hikari grabbed it by an ear and turned to Green. By this time he had finished the sandwich and raised an eyebrow as Hikari turned to him and listened to what she had to say, she could smell the children although there was another scent and it seemed like there was one more fight and that despite the sandwich not being much she seemed to offer him a real dinner stating that she could cook quite well. At this comment, Green turned a little shade of red as it seemed she had heard his comment earlier at the Mayor's house. "Sure thing, let's go and finish this damn mission." Green replied, grinning in return as he began to walk next to Hikari. The bear soon pulled himself free from Hikari but he didn't try to run, instead he just walked and lead them to where they wanted to go. Green eyed the bear carefully but the bear seemed to get the idea that he couldn't run without being tracked down and kill prematurely. It lead them further into the forest like area and soon they came upon a small cottage of sorts, although it was evidently broken and battered ... |

Hikari was pleased to see Green eating the sandwich half she gave him. It may not have been a three course meal, but it was enough to help him regain a bit of his energy. She then grinned when she saw his cheeks flush at her comment. She couldn't help chuckling, her tails idly swishing now as a sign of contentment. She still had a firm grip on the bear's ear, tugging the bound creature along as they walked through the forest. Hikari occasionally sniffed the air when the wind would blow, catching the faint smell of humans on the wind. Human children. She jerked the bear's ear hard, nearly ripping the thing off when the bear yelped and dug its heels in the soft ground. "Ey, lady! Be careful! I need that, you know!" Hikari scowled and hoisted the bear up by its ear. Of course, she was a tad on the short side, so she could only lift the thing to where its feet dangled an inch or too off the ground. She glared at the bear, her teal eyes beginning to glow, giving off a soft hue of the same color. "Listen here... You are in no position to order me around. Cooperate, and you'll have a much easier time. We've told you this before. I know we're close... How much farther?" The bear just huffed and crossed its arms, turning up its nose. Hikari growled and began to shake the bear when she caught a glimpse of the cabin in the corner of her eye. That's when she felt the bear pull free from her grasp. She turned quickly and snarled a warning. The bear seemed to know better now, and didn't bother to make a run for it. As far as it knew, it would get out of this alive. Oh how wrong it was. Hikari was the first to approach the broken down cabin, ears twitching and pivoting while listening to every little sound in the area. She tugged the hem of her shirt, ripping a strip of fabric away to be used as a rag. She used this to wipe some of the grime off of one of the old windows, then peeked inside. There, in seven little beds, were seven children. Five girls, and two boys. Sighing in relief, Hikari returned to the door, reaching for the handle. Upon touching the rusty handle, a small shock was sent through her fingers. She jerked her hand back, licking her slightly burnt fingers. Her nose twitched. That scent. She perked up, glancing around the woods surrounding the cabin. She didn't catch the four black, tentacle-like appendages that lashed out at her, one snagging each limb. Hikari snarled and struggled against the binding appendages while Zorua leapt onto the one holding Hikari's right wrist, chewing violently on the scaly thing. From the woods, the 'wife' of the Mayor emerged, the tentacle-like things emerging from her back. She smirked and eyed Hikari and Green. "Well, well... What do we have here..?" |

It seemed Hikari was happy or at least more on her humane side as she smiled and chuckled at Green, he returned a smile and soon the two set off. Green watching as Hikari kept the bear in tow and nearly ripped it's ear off which made Green chuckle softly as it complained, Hikari scowled and gave it a glare and even snarled at it before telling the damn bear just how things were working. She even started shaking the bear at one point before they were finally lead to the broken down cabin and the bear managed to escape from Hikari as it ran to the cabin, although it sat down on the grass and began to whimper as it rubbed it's ear where Hikari had been pulling it. Green followed Hikari to the cabin, he looked around but saw no sign of anyone. He watched as Hikari ripped a part of her top and use it as a rag to wipe one of the windows she gave a sigh and by the way her face looked it seemed they had found the children. Although Green smiled and began to walk towards the door he stopped as Hikari retracted her hand from the handle it seemed the handle had hurt her fingers before from out of nowhere four black tentacles had rushed at Hikari and were now holding her at each of her wrists and ankles. Zorua was already on one of them and trying to bite it off of her. Green turned to find that from the forest the wife of the Mayor walked towards them, an evil grin on her face as the four tentacles emerging from her back. If Green could snarl, he would've snarled at the wife instead he made a more 'what the hell do you think you're doing' sort of face in an attempt to snarl. Hikari was pretty much useless now although the way she was being held up was sort of - Green turned back to the wife and glared at her. He was still weak, but he had the energy to bring out another Lord and this time he knew exactly which one he'd call on. This bitch was going to die, either by Green's hands or the Lords. "Bitch, put Hikari down and let the kids go or I'll put you down." Green said, his tone of being half way between anger and hatred although to what he wouldn't reveal except perhaps Zorua or maybe Hikari knew ... "Ha, what does this .... 'Woman' mean to you? She is nothing but some dirty half breed demon -" The Wife said, grimacing at the word 'woman' and blatantly insulting Hikari although she was stopped short by Green, a strange steam beginning to produce off him. The steam was dark red and it was forming on his clothes and skin, a grin crossed his mouth as he cut the Wife off, "She has everything." Soon his skin began to literally evaporate off due to the steam before he was engulfed by it and replaced by a six foot eight draconian looking demon, in a crouched like state. Diablo had been awoken. He looked up, his eyes a blur of red as he looked at the delicious looking piece of flesh before him. Letting out a roar Diablo had found his target, the woman in front was his target and his meal although something felt strange and Diablo couldn't tell what it was, something was holding him back since by now that woman would be dead or dieing but no, she was standing looking at the horrific monster before her a gasp on her face. Diablo grinned and charged forwards, his tail slapped about furiously as his hunger for the blood of this woman increased. The woman gave a shriek as she looked from Hikari to Diablo, she couldn't contain Hikari and fight Diablo and so to avoid being skewered by a rather nasty scythe like claw, the tentacles retracted and Hikari would slump or fall to the ground, Diablo couldn't care at this point what happened to Hikari he was more interested in the 'Wife' or whatever she was. The woman avoided the scythe like part of his arm narrowly but now she technically had two opponents instead of one, she cursed silently. |

Hikari struggled against the tentacle things holding her. Normally, she could just bust free from such weak things, but the way she was suspended in the air left little room for her to gain enough momentum to pull free. She snarled and pulled her right wrist to her mouth, teeth sinking into the black appendage. It writhed in her jaw's grasp, her head shaking a bit while she tried to pull the thing off, but it was like it was glued on. Hikari's ears soon perked up when she heard Green speak. The tone of his voice held a great deal of anger in it. She smiled a bit. He really seemed to want to protect her. The woman's words struck a nerve in Hikari. She really hated being called a half breed. "Hey, listen, twat! I'm more of a woman than you are, you tentacled freak! Now let me go so I can claw that smug face off!" Hikari snarled at the woman again, but soon turned her attention to Green. There was a strong change in his scent. The sensation made her shiver. This didn't feel right. Something was going to happen, and she had a feeling that this wouldn't go well for that woman. Green had cut the woman off with his comment, his words making Hikari's cheeks flush. Her eyes went wide when she saw what Green had become. This must be another one of his magic's forms. This one didn't sit well with Hikari. She felt her stomach tying itself in knots, a sickening feeling in her gut rising as she saw this form. This made her demon side look like a house pet. She heard the woman shriek before freeing Hikari from her tentacles. Hikari hit the ground with a soft thud. She winced and rubbed her wrists, grimacing as she noticed a ring of inky black, sticky, slimy substance on her wrists and ankles. She whined and tried to wipe it off on the grass, but it only collected blades of grass in the glue-like consistency of the mess. After a couple moments passed, it began to burn against her skin, the area turning red, the irritation making the skin swell slightly. It must be a poison of some sort. She dug in her bag, taking out another bottle of water, opening it before pouring it onto her wrists and ankles. She took off the rest of her top shirt, leaving her under shirt on. She used this shirt to try and scrub off the burning substance before it could do any more damage. She got most of it off her wrists, revealing what looked like burn marks around her wrist. The poison must have acidic properties. Whatever it was, it hurt like hell. She scrubbed the toxic goo off of her ankles now, her body feeling a little weak at the current moment. She needed a minute to recover, Zorua trotting over to join Hikari while keeping an eye on Green as he took on the rather weak woman. He used a lot of his energy to release that form, so why not let him have his fun? |

Letting out a roar of annoyance Diablo screamed into the air as he missed the woman, looking back down at the lump of bone, blood and meat before him his eyes settled on the prize. The woman was afraid. He could smell it, her eyes mislead her into believing that she could win when all they did was hide the fact that she was feeling fear from the Lord of Terror itself. Diablo grinned before he turned around sharply, his tail bending back before he swiped at the woman with his tail and with the woman not expecting such an attack she was knocked to the ground and skidded to the left of Diablo, she groaned as she hit the grass and dirt although the grass was mostly dying, how suitable. This woman would die just like this grass ... Stepping nearer the woman Diablo let out a shriek as the woman winced from pain and fear, snarling slightly Diablo of all things soon stopped in a crouched like position. For some reason his head turned and he looked back at Hikari, he watched as Hikari took her top off and tore it apart to wipe her wrists and ankles perhaps the demon was injured? She looked weak either way and the demon puppy soon joined Hikari, how interesting ... A demon fox, a half-demon and a host for Demons? One could simply laugh at this, but Diablo did not laugh and nor did he care for Hikari or Zorua and he had no idea why he had turned around in the first place, as he turned around to face the woman however ... He was smacked in the side of the face by one of a tentacle, it seemed to have hardened into a bludgeoning tool of some sorts. Diablo shrieked with outrage at the woman as she had regained her ground, although she was standing in such a weak and pathetic position she seemed to believe she could win. The woman had two tentacles summoned from her back, one seemed to be a spear like one whilst the other was more of a club. Diablo soon stood to his full height and began roaring at the woman - no, he wasn't roaring he was ... Laughing? The volume and time between his roars was more of a laughing fit, he was mocking the woman. Staring back down at the pathetic human he soon roared towards the woman, bending down as he did so as magical energy gathered in his mouth and he soon launched a blast of fire from his mouth. The blast was large and concentrated in a straight line, the woman gasped before managing to create a shield of some sort but it didn't work as expected. The blast from Hell broke her shield and although it was weakened to some extent, the woman was left standing, smoke lifting off of her clothes as some of them became charred from the fire and soon she was about to die. Taking this opportunity, Diablo charged the woman and knocked her to the ground with the side of his hand. The woman fell and groaned before, Diablo stood over her roaring with delight as the meal would soon be his, but first ... Pain. Pulling his arm up he made a fist and then punched down, but the scythe like extension of his arm was the one that connected into the shoulder of the woman who let out a scream of pain, followed by more screams as Diablo twisted the scythe-claw and did the same with her other shoulder. Next, he stood up and began to stomp down on the womans chest with his foot, roaring in laughter and delight. Seems he was on some sort of rampage, although was it truly Diablo or perhaps it was someone else causing this?... |

Hikari had finished cleaning the toxic slime crud off of her ankles and wrists, her attention now turning back to Diablo. Her eyes widened as she watched the fight take place, Diablo smacking the woman around like a cat toying with a mouse. She clutched Zorua against her chest, ears pinning back against her head as she watched the carnage unfold. The woman managed to get a hit in on Diablo, but that only seemed to enrage this monster further. It cried out in a bloodcurdling roar. No... Not a roar.. It... It was laughing. Sickening laughter that made her skin crawl. She tensed up, squeezing Zorua as she watched. This carnage. The blood. It was triggering memories that she wanted to forget. Memories of her ordeals in the Tower of Heaven. The blood. There was blood everywhere. There were roars, much like Diablo's. and a face. A white haired person missing an eye. She couldn't see features. Just a blank, featureless face. However, the area where the left eye would be was surging with blood. She continued to clutch Zorua tighter until the little fox squeaked and swatted at Hikari's face. "Kari! Kari! Snap out of it! You're crushing me! Stop squeezin' me and help Green! He'snot looking good! Look!" The little fox pointed a paw in the direction of Diablo and the woman, she now being stomped to death like a bug. Hikari grimaced and rose to her feet, shivering and trying not to look at the smashed up muck of a person under the draconic demon's feet. She placed Zorua down on the ground. "Go hide, buddy.... I'll snap him out of it, but it could get dangerous... Stay back and keep an eye on that bear." Zorua nodded and hurried off to stand guard, eyeing the now horror stricken bear as it laid on the ground, watching in shock as it's partner in crime was stomped to death. Zorua whined and glanced back at Hikari, wondering just what she was going to do to help Green now. Hikari had a plan. It wasn't much of one, but it was something. Gathering every ounce of her courage, she charged Diablo. She grabbed the demon around the waist on impact, clutching it tightly. She embraced the rampaging demon, pulling him off of the bloody mush, keeping him tight in her grasp. She buried her face in his back. He was a foot taller than her, but she was able to keep a sturdy grip on Diablo. She squeezed tighter, tears starting to streak down the girl's cheek while she began to speak. "Green. I know you're in there... Come back out... Don't let this monster take control. Please, Green. Hear my voice.... Diablo! Let him out you monster!" She clutched Diablo a bit tighter until a slight pop was heard. She was ready to snap the demon in half, however, she knew it would hurt Green too, so she had to be careful. She just wanted to draw Green back out to her. She shifted her position, standing in front of Diablo, clutching his face while staring into the demon's blood thirsty eyes. She stared hard through teary eyes, clutching the demon's face while pressing her forehead against his. "Please, Green...." She whispered his name once more, still holding the face of the demon, hoping her words got through to him, and to Green. |

Diablo let out another roar as he rested his foot on the woman and looked at her crippled state, she was bleeding and moaning terribly. Music, such a sweet tune almost like a calming melody played to babies to make them sleep. Eying the woman he grinned viciously as she moaned in agony and pain and Diablo let out another demonic laughing roar, however he was soon roaring in frustration as something had grabbed him around the waist and was now pulling him away from the woman. He turned his head to find Hikari hugging him tightly around the waist, her face buried into his back and as she squeezed tighter he soon felt a wetness on his back, the girl was crying. She soon called out to Green wanting him to return and for Diablo to return from where he came. Diablo struggled against Hikari, snapping and waving his arms to try and get the female half breed but to no avail, she was stronger than him and she had a tight hold and soon she had moved to in front of him and now held his face, he let out a roar of anger straight at the girls face and he raised his left hand preparing to swipe this damn half-breed away, how dare she interrupt him from having his fun and feasting on the other woman. As his hand came down, it suddenly stopped just above her head. Diablo was looking into her eyes as she stared hard at his through tears and she pressed her forehead against his, whispering for Green once more and it seemed she had gotten through as it was not Diablo who was in total control, it was Green from the start. Green was the one who had tamed Diablo hence the woman was not already dead, although she was practically dieing now. The moment when Diablo looked back at Hikari was Green as well, he wanted to make sure she was ok. Despite having to fend off the other Demon Lords, Green had managed to keep some control over Diablo and now here they were. Diablo at a calmed set of mind as Hikari cried for Green to return, Diablo let out a soft breath comparable to a sigh and his mouth opened as if to speak but instead, his body glowed a dark red and shifted as Green stood before Hikari once more. His arm still raised and Hikari's forehead still on his, he brought his hand down and rested it on the back of her hair - it was rather soft. "I'm here Hikari ..." Green whispered as he soon shifted his hands to move Hikari away a little so he could look into her eyes. It was then that he realized that there was something there, something between them and it was a great feeling, it was happy and more - almost indescribable. Green blushed softly a little, although it could be excused as exhaustion as he looked into Hikari's tear covered teal eyes, his hands now resting on her shoulders and he smiled softly at the foxy woman. He gently pulled her forward and leaned towards the girl, his eyes closed softly as his upper lip gently pressed onto her bottom lip and he kissed her softly as light began to appear from the sky, the sun began to rise slowly in the distance as Green kissed Hikari gently. Perhaps it was the moment they'd all been waiting for, Zorua seemed to be happy about it as he appeared to find Green kissing Hikari and he blushed softly but gave a happy yelp. Hikari kept her tight grip on the head of the beast as it flailed about. She didn't even flinch when the hand came down, aiming to strike her. She knew Green wouldn't hurt her. She knew it. She trusted this man. This demon. This Raven. Rival Guild or not. There was a light in Green's soul. There was a light that gave Hikari hope. He may be a dark mage, but maybe, just maybe, she could absolve the darkness in him. She then heard his voice. Not Diablo's devilish trill, but Green's velvet tone. That soft tone seemed to settle her nerves. She relaxed, her hands holding nothing but air now as Green returned to normal. Her hands fell to her sides now, a relieved sigh escaping her as she felt his hands on her shoulders. Oh, but it wasn't over yet. He stepped closer, making Hikari tense up a bit. She was rigid as he leaned in, her heart being about ready to burst when his lips met hers. She stared, wide-eyed, for a moment, completely taken by surprised as this man, her presumed enemy, planted the softest of kisses upon her trembling lips. Her ears drooped in an act of relaxation, her tails having a slight sway to them. Her eyes drifted shut, just as the sun was beginning to rise, illuminating the dense forest with it's golden light. Before Hikari became completely lost in the moment, she placed her hands upon Green's chest. She could feel his heart. It was beating just as fast as hers. Perhaps this was going to go really well for the two. She gave Green a slight nudge while reluctantly breaking that lovely kiss. She faked a sight cough, clearing her throat. Her visage was painted a bright rose hue. She rubbed the back of her head, averting her gaze while speaking softly. "U-Uh....Th-Thanks....Um...Perhaps we should finish this job first.... We can...um...Go have breakfast back at my place in Magnolia after I check in with Master Silver...D-Deal?" She bit her bottom lip and began to walk towards the cabin, hearing the voices of children as they began to stir within the log prison. |

The girl had a tight grip on Diablos head before it vanished and Green stood in his place, Hikari relaxed and her hands fell to her sides before Green stepped closer and plant a soft kiss on her lips, he didn't see her eyes as he kissed her as he had closed his but he felt her relax into the kiss and soon he felt her hands rest on his chest as they kissed at sunrise. It was a sweet kiss, although it held more meaning for the both of them as Green believed, however the kiss came to an end as Hikari nudged him although she seemed reluctant to break the kiss as she cleared her throat and spoke softly, her cheeks a flush of red which caused Green to smile softly. Hikari looked away as she spoke, clearly embarrassed by what had just occurred before inviting him over for breakfast at her place in Magnolia before she began to walk towards the cabin, the voices of the children stirring from within. "Deal..." He replied and followed her to the cabin door. Upon reaching the door and remembering what had happened to Hikari when she first touched the door, Green took the initiative and kicked the door down which wasn't actually that hard considering how old the cabin was. The children inside woke up immediately and cowered under the worn out blankets they had, there was about twelve or so in total a mixture of boys and girls although there seemed to be girls mostly. Looking down back at Hikari, "Would you like to do the honour, or would you prefer I do it whilst you comfort the children?" He soon asked, basically he was asking if Hikari wanted to kill the bear or have Green do it whilst she comforted the children, although something told him that it would be he who comforted the children but he wasn't phased by it, Hikari could let off some steam by killing that ugly mother fu- ... Bear-thing. Turning back to the children, Green spoke in a calm and friendly tone, "You have nothing to fear children, myself and my ... Friend here have come to take you home. We are both Mages of Guilds who have come to rescue you." Green told them, adding a soft smile which seemed to relax the kids as their eyes lit up and some started to cry after the fact they were being rescued. The pause in his words in regards to Hikari was what he had trouble with, he was unsure whether to call her a friend or partner or something more ... Meaningful ... |
