Hikari waited for Green to leave, she eyeing him closely as he moved out of the bathroom and down to the kitchen. She couldn't help but question his words. Was he just messing with her? Or did he actually mean it? She shook her head and sighed. No time for trivial thoughts right now. She slipped down onto all fours, creeping low to the floor like a predator stalking its prey. Her ears were pinned back against her head, nose to the floor as she processed every possible scent she could pick up. She suddenly froze when she heard Green talking to the Mayor. She growled when he spoke. Was it...jealousy she was feeling? Then the mayor spoke, asking about his relationship to her. Her eyes widened Green spoke, not denying the Mayor's assumption, but instead saying that she can't cook. She didn't know what irked her more. She simply huffed quietly. She'd show him... She was a damn good cook.. Focusing back on her task at hand, she crawled across the hall, following the scent of blood on the floor until she bumped into the hall closet door. She grunted and rubbed her nose, ears twitching as she rubbed her nose. A thump was heard, almost in response to her forehead bumping into the door. She quirked a brow, rising up into a crouched position before reaching a hand up to grip the doorknob. With a twist and a quick jerk, she yanked the door open and...well, right off of the hinges. Inside the closet were the bound bodies of the Mayor and his wife. The REAL mayor. On the floor, there were small, brown hairs. The scent was ursine. She snarled and muttered a prayer for the souls of the two in the closet before jetting down the hall. She darted around the corner, growling angrily as she charged the mayor, fist pulled back before launching at the face of the phony mayor. Her claws extended upon impact, ripping away the latex disguise on the imposter's face, revealing none other than the creature they were tracking. The bear. She leapt back, eyeing Green with a lamenting stare. The Mayor and his wife appear to be dead. The thump I heard was their bodies slumping against the door. We've got a fight on our hands..." |

Green leaned back in the chair and placed a leg on his knee as he took the glass of water that had been handed to him by the Mayors wife, he smiled and took a sip of the water as he looked at the Mayor. The Mayor seemed off, he wasn't sure exactly what it was but he seemed to give his wife a strange ... Look, perhaps he knew of his wife's exploits in flirting with younger men. Green looked at the wife's face, she simply smiled in return and in fact she didn't seem to care, something was definetly off. Her lack of caring wasn't the normal type it was more of a face that showed she didn't know anything. How ... Interesting. His wife walked off and called out that dinner was ready and she'd bring it in soon, Green eyed the mayor. He was nervous. Why was he nervous? His eyes darted from the door that joined the kitchen to the dining room and then back to Green. Green cleared his throat, rather loudly and on purpose and the Mayor jumped slightly. He smiled, weakly at Green and then smiled and laughed a little as his wife entered with a tray that held various bowls of what appeared to be salad. She was calm, unlike the Mayor. "Smells -" Green was saying before a shape darted past him and soon the Mayor was on the ground, the wife gave a shriek and Green stood up to find Hikari standing above the Mayor, rather angry as well and he heard her words and looked down at the Mayor to find a bear. "Well, that escalated quickly." Green narrowed his eyes, so that's why the 'Mayor' was nervous. The bear or whatever the hell it was seemed to be unconscious, although it was hard to tell as it didn't exactly have eyelids it just had two large black button like eyes. It was somewhat unnerving. Green turned to the wife, only to find that she wasn't there. "The wife's gone, the bear ... Well, I reckon we should just slay it now." Green stated, his voice rather calm as he did so as he looked Hikari in the eye, "Although, that doesn't help with the escaped wife and the other children." He continued, folding his arms and sighing slightly, "I'm all for slaying the ... Thing, right now. But it's your call too, what do you think?" Edited by Snow, Sep 10 2012, 12:54 AM.

Hikari's eyes burned a vivid crimson as she seethed. She stared down at her claws, latex clinging to the elongated nails while her chest heaved. Zorua looked a little concerned. Something was off with Hikari. That look in her eyes wasn't anything normal. It was as if she was dipping into her more demonic side. Like her demon blood was taking over. Then it hit Zorua. He's heard of this happening with half demons before. He hopped over to Green and tapped his cheek with a paw before sitting upon his right shoulder. "Green, we may have a problem. Kari is a half demon, y'know? Somethin' isn't right. Nope nope. I think it might be that time, yes?" Zorua could have picked better wording. That's for sure. However, the little fox didn't realize what he said, and how it could be taken in a whole different direction. No. What he assumed was that Green immediately knew what he was talking about. How, every month or so, a half demon will dip to their human and demon sides for a twenty-four hour period, leaving them overly hostile, or overly weak. On the night of the full moon, Hikari seemed to dip to her demon side while, on the night of the new moon, she became, in a sense, human. Zorua felt this could prove dangerous if something wasn't done to control Hikari's temper at such a time. This could only end badly if they didn't tread carefully.. Hikari's posture seemed more relaxed now. She slacked her shoulders while picking latex from her claws. Her eyes had softened, her normal teal hues showing once more. It seemed that the period of rage had subsided for now. Her attention turned to Green. She had heard him speak previously, but had been unable to respond while her mind was in a fit of mental conflict. She gave Green a simple nod before she spoke, her eyes drifting to glance down at her intimidating claws. "Let's wait for this bear to wake up. For now, let's find something to tie him up with. If we restrain him, we'll have the upper hand.. We'll use him to find the captive children, under a ruse of promised freedom. And once the children are safe.... We'll get rid of this thing for good. He's not going to get out of this alive." Hikari's expression relayed her desperation. There was that fire in her eyes again. A desire to protect the weak and vanquish this evil ursine. However, there was also restraint. Her arms seemed rigid with tension. It was as if her body was holding back while her mind screamed for blood. He knew she had to hold back. She needed the creature to find the children. Sure, she could probably track them by scent, but that would take too long due to a lack of a source for their scents. For now, she just had to stick with her plan and let the bear live a little longer.... for the sake of the children... |

Green waited silent as he watched Hikari, she was angry. Rather angry. He watched her movements, her head look down at her hands, the latex on her claws and her breathing becoming erratic. About to say something else, Green soon felt a paw tap his cheek and he turned to find Zorua on his right shoulder and the little fox pup began to speak, saying how Hikari was half-demon and that something wasn't right and it was apparently that time and Green couldn't help but widen his eyes, did this little fox pup say what he thought? Was Hikari really - no, this seemed rather excessive for such a thing. Zorua hopped off his shoulder and onto the table, both of them watched Hikari who seemed to relax more and her posture softened, she turned to Green. He looked at her with a serious, yet somewhat scared look it wasn't that he was afraid of her but rather he was afraid for her. She had listened to his words and simply nod, and she looked down at her claws before speaking. Hikari said to wait for the bear to wake up and to find something to tie him up with, and use him to find the captive children and then after they were safe, they could slay him. Green nodded slowly as he looked at her eyes, she was going through a conflict of some sorts perhaps it was to do with her past as Zorua had spoken of before. Walking around the table and over to Hikari he pulled out a chair and place a hand on her shoulder, motioning her to sit down. "I'll go find something, just sit down and here," Green spoke as he sat her down, gently, he wasn't letting her stand up anymore she was sitting whether she liked it or not. He took a glass of water that was on the table and handed it to Hikari, "drink some water." His voice was soft and caring and he was only looking out for her, once she had taken the glass he would stand up straight. Smiling at Hikari, he turned and entered the kitchen and began to look through cupboards and drawers looking for a cable or something. It had occurred to him that he could utilize Diablo's help in this, insight fear into the bear-thing and should the need arise he could use Mephisto as well. Such things were not usually something Green would think of but certain times called for certain things to be done whether people liked it or not. Opening a draw he found it was full of cable ties and taking a few of them out he returned to the dining room, turned the bear over onto it's back and placed its arms behind it's back and tied its hands together using a few of the cable ties before rolling it over onto it's back again. Taking the jug of water from the table and stepping in front of Hikari, to block her view on purpose, he poured the water onto the bears face. It soon woke up with a jolt, coughing and spluttering from the water. |

Hikari's breathing was heavy, ragged, and rather vicious. She growled low, her elongated canines protruding past her upper lip, giving her a menacing look. Her body pulsed once before settling once more as she felt Green's hand on her shoulder, pulling her down into a chair. She sat down, slumping in the chair while Green spoke, telling her that he'd look for something to bind the bear. She took the glass handed to her, her body settling while she brought the glass to her lips, drinking the water slowly. Her eyes softened once more, her canines retracting. She just needed to get through this night, and then she'd be fine. Of course the Guild chose to send her on a job during THAT time. Despite having other half demons in the guild, they were certainly under-educated on the subjects. She sighed slowly, placing the empty glass back on the table. Her tails swayed slowly while Zorua kept close watch on the unconscious bear creature. What the hell was that thing anyway? A humanoid bear... Definitely something new to her, and she's seen stranger things before. Her ears twitched and perked up when Green entered the room, she smiling softly at him before watching Green tie up the bear. He then blocked her view, so she couldn't see what he was doing, but she heard water splashing, followed by animalistic coughing and sputtering, followed by the scent of wet fur. She grimaced at the smell. How awful. She huffed and stood, her eyes falling onto the bear. She growled and flexed her fully extended claws before speaking. "Where are they..?" The bear huffed and turned up his nose. "TO OLD! DO NOT WANT!" The bear's actions frustrated her, she clenching her fists before backing away. Her temper was way too high right now. Her demon blood boiled, fueling her rage to impossible levels. She just had to back down and leave it to Green before she ended up killing the thing too quickly. |

The bear woke up, the smell of it's damp fur rather noticeable and it coughed from the sudden 'attack'. Green turned his head slightly as he heard the chair behind him move and noticed Hikari now standing up and ask where the kids were, well she growled before hand and flexed her claws to which the bear gave a huff and spoke 'TOO OLD! DO NO WANT' which was just weird. The bear must have been referring to both Green and Hikari as being too old as his targets. Green took note of Hikari clench her fists and back away, Green nodded at Hikari. It was something for Green to take care of for the mean time, Hikari was fueled too much on rage to be of any use yet, although that could be useful for something else ... - Not the time Green, not the time. Turning his attention back to the bear, he watched it struggle as it moved about however was unable to stand up and instead acted like a distressed worm. Making a disgusting look at the bear, Green bent down and looked at it. "You will help us, you will show us to where the kids are being kept. You will do what we say and listen." Green said, softly in a low voice to the bear which seemed to catch it's attention, "Trololol, so you think~" the bear responded, it's voice was damn annoying. Green sighed and grabbed the bear by the shoulder and pulled it close to his face, the bear struggled but soon quietened down as it gazed into Greens eyes, although they were not his own. Within Greens eyes, the bear saw terror itself. It saw and what it had seen could not be unseen. Diablo had been stirred and he did not like to be stirred all of a sudden for such a pathetic waste of space, it gave a cry from within Green although unheard the bear could imagine it as it witnessed the Lord of Terror. Shoving the bear down to the ground it moaned and was quite frankly terrified, it was shivering in fact although was that due to the water from before? Whatever it was Green stood up and pulled the bear up, "He'll show us now," He said to Hikari before giving a weak smile as in truth he had not wished to use such a thing in front of Hikari, although she would not have seen it or fallen victim to it he did not like to use the 'power' although it wasn't really a power but more of an insight. "Now, take us to the location." He continued, dragging the bear by the fur on it's shoulder towards the door of the mansion and then it would lead them. |

Hikari watched with a curious expression as Green grabbed the bear by the pelt, demanding that it helps them find the children. There was only a short pause before a sudden change in the bear's scent made the half demon shudder, then grimace. She could smell nothing but pure fear.. And maybe a twinge of...urine? Whatever Green did to the bear, he literally scared the piss out of it. Hikari blinked when Green turned and smiled at her. She shivered at the look in his eyes. There was something off about him. She brought her right hand up, covering her nose. The stench in the house was getting too sickening for her sensitive nose, and she needed fresh air. She followed quickly as Green dragged the bear outside, taking the first deep breath of many in order to settle her stomach. By now, the sun had set, the village being quite dark. Only a few street lights lit the path to the woods, before darkness enveloped them amongst the trees. Thankfully, Hikari could see fairly well in the dark, and Zorua was well equipped with his own natural night vision, but she was unsure of how well Green did, so she snapped her fingers, summoning a series of ten small Will-O'-Wisps that circled around her body, dancing like a fiery, spherical carousel. This illuminated a good twenty meter area around Hikari and Green, making it much easier for him and herself to see. The bear murmured to himself before Hikari hauled off and socked him in the head with one of her tails. "So, where too, Fuzzy Wuzzy? East? West? North? Come on! If you don't fuck around, I'll let you live!" She snapped, eyes flickering a dim crimson before glowing bright teal. Zorua whines and pawed at her left cheek, telling her to settleThe bear whimpered, a comically large knot forming on his head. "Fine, old lady! Geez! Go North, then East for a few meters, then north again! There is a cabin, yes! But be careful! I have guards... huehuehue...." Hikari scowled before looking up at Green, a vicious, toothy grin on her face. "Sounds like fun to me..." |

The bear had literally been terrified which was something Green had not expected, although it was sometimes rare for the trick to work most people didn't even see it. Then again, this bear thing didn't have a choice. Green grimaced as he smelt the urine and he turned to Hikari as he gave her a weak smile before leading the bear out of the house of ... Strange ... Death happenings. He heard Hikari quickly followed and it seemed although her senses were beyond his own, they did have their drawbacks as Hikari breathed deeply in the night sky air. It was rather dark which was rather annoying for Green, the street lights helped but it would be rather annoying that was until Hikari snapped her fingers and ten wisp like spheres appeared around her body circling it like a carousel which provided Green with some better light, he smiled and nodded at her as a thank you before the bear mumbled something and Hikari came over and smacking him in the side of the head with one of her tails. Hikari took out some of her aggression it seemed as she soon snapped at the bear, her eyes changing colour briefly causing Green to narrow his eyes, the bear whimpered and soon gave them some directions and that he had guards. Hikari soon smiled at Green, showing some rather vicious like teeth and saying that it sounded like fun. Greens heart skipped a beat for that moment, who knew that the girls from Fairy Tail could be so damn bloodthirsty and sexy ... Focus Green, focus. Snapping back to reality Green smiled at Hikari and soon shoved the bear in front causing it to lead them the way it had told them. The bear mumbled but soon began to walk at a steady pace, which would have to do for now and Green stood next to Hikari before following beside her, seemed Green was beginning to change slightly, perhaps it was because of this 'foxy woman' ... Who knew? |

It was like Hikari's personality had flipped completely. The usually kind, caring girl that she normally was had become angry, fierce, and bloodthirsty. It was definitely that time that every half demon endured. The sooner she finished this job, the sooner she could go sleep this off. She followed the bear, walking rather close to Green. She was close enough so her Will-O'-Wisps circled the both of them in one large loop, expanding the light source and keeping them well within view, as well as the bear. Hikari had to keep her eyes on the bear. If she got distracted, even once, then the bear may take off and they'd have to hunt him down again. If Hikari was the one to catch him in that case, the bear was as good as dead. She simply shook her head, growling softly while those angry, teal eyes watched the bear's every move. The bear glanced over his shoulder, getting an ominous feeling. He let out a startled yelp, then glanced at Green. "Hey, fella. Make your lady stop staring at me like that! She's givin' me the creeps, ya! Huehuehue.." Hikari clicked her teeth, the bear yelping again before turning back around, still walking. "Okay, okay, geez! Halfway there, ya! Gotta go East now! First set of guards here. Two ugly fellas. I think they're ogres, ya. Strong fellas, too. Have fuuuuun.." He spoke the lasp part in a taunting, sing-song voice that irked Hikari. Sure enough, though, she could smell the ogre beasts. They stank of blood and what could be described as a mixture of skunk and raw sewage. The scent was still in the distance, so she doubted Green's human nose could pick it up. She turned to glance at him, speaking softly. "It smells like two. Maybe even three of them. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll rip them to shreds, and then we can move on and find those children. They must be terrified...." Hikari's expression seemed to soften, her normal, kind expression seeming to return for a short moment before the scent of the ogres grew stronger. Her eyes flashed red, her body pulsing again. She stopped in her tracks, her arm lashing out to grab the bear, yanking him down and out of the way as a large hand collided with the ground where he once stood. Large and red, it retracted, showing to be attached to a rather tall ogre-like creature, beside it, there was two more. The one in the middle was green, while the one at the far end was black. The three of them encircled Hikari and Green, staring down at them while laughing rather ominously. The red one spoke first. "Give us the bear, worms..." And then the green one spoke. "Surrender him, and we'll let you die a swift death.." And then the black one. "Defy us, and we will make you suffer.." Hikari smirked, her right hand gripping the handle of her Kiba no Ken. She drew the extravagant blade, her Will-O'-Wisps glinting off of the fang shaped blade. "I think it's the three of you who should be worried....Stand down, and I'LL let YOU live..." The ogres were in an uproar of laughter. "Stupid half breed.... You'll die like the filth you are!" The red Ogre struck, throwing a punch right at Hikari. She grinned a vicious little grin and leapt up, stabbing her blade into the ogre's fist before dragging her blade up its arm, slicing it in two before lopping it off. The ogre howled and fell to the ground, writhing and clutching his blood spitting stump while the other two screamed for their dying brother. Hikari licked the blood from her blade while eyeing the other two. There was a ferocity to her. Something that scared even Zorua. The little fox leapt to Green's shoulder, cowering against his neck. "Who's next?" |

They walked on following the bear thing, Green walking closely next to Hikari as her Wisps surrounded them both causing the light source to expand and Green noted how she was keeping a close watch on the bear, seemed Hikari was still fueled on rage. The bear glanced around and gave a yelp before speaking to Green about making his lady stop staring at him like that, Hikari seemed to handle the response by clicking her teeth and it gave some information about being halfway there and how they would encounter the first set of guards, two ogres according to the bear until Hikari stated that it smelt like two or perhaps three of them and that she'd rip them to shreds so they could move on quickly. Green remained silent and simply nodded as they walked on before he stopped and Hikari acted. Hikari had grabbed the bear and pulled him back causing it to fall over, as Green looked from Hikari believing she intended to kill the thing he looked back to see a large red fist hit the ground where the bear had previously been and so she had saved the bear whether she liked it or not. The red ogre spoke and then a green one joined in giving them not much choice in what to do, a black one appeared as well and he blabbered on as they encircled them, Hikari seemed to take the lead by instead turning it on them which caused them to roar with laughter and the red one soon attacked however it only received the blade of Hikaris sword in its fist before she ran the blade up it's arm and basically cut it off. Zorua soon appeared on Greens shoulder, afraid and Green raised his eyebrow at the fox demon pup - seemed even Hikari scared the thing, interesting. The red ogre gave a cry of pain as it tried to hold the space where it's arm once was, the green and black ogres seemed to be shocked however that soon turned to anger mostly centered at Hikari. Green gave a little sigh and stood there, taking a cigarette from his pocket and placing the end near one of Hikaris Wisps as it floated by before sticking it in his mouth and having a smoke. Good thing he had a spare cigarette, this mission was just so damn stressful. He began to analyze the situation; the red ogre struck first and seemed to do most of the talking and he also appeared to be the leader which made him the strongest, the green one seemed the quiet one although you should always watch the quiet ones, the black one seemed to be on par with the red ogre by the looks. For now, Green would see how things went... |
