Arc Link Dawn break over Belladonna was a prosperous sight to behold, where the red expanded over the sky and the sun arising over the horizon over the town. The red looked nice, but as said over the sailors tails "Red in the morning, A sailors Warning." But who really knows that's real, Colonello didn't think it applied to the land, right? Like, it's only a sailors superstition at sea? Col shakes his head free of such thoughts and set's foot into the township, too see that it's still deserted of life so far, as expect of the time of day. A couple of cats start a scuffle between each other, in the main street, both tugging over a piece of fish that was rotten to the core. He step's closer and they both scatter into two different alleyways, dropping the fish. Time goes by as the sun rises to still bring froth the the new day, people start to come out and head to there stores, readying there stores for the early shoppers. Col starts to get weary from his travel, walking the roads and getting lost even with the map he was given. It took the night to arrive, but he was here and with no rest. His shoulder was getting soar from lugging around his rifle, yet alone his rut sack of clothes and supplies. He stop by a near by bench for a rest and looks at a town map, searching for a place to sleep for a few hours. Locating an inn, after 40 minutes of wandering the now mildly busy streets of Elderly and homeless, since to him they looked the same, he enters a musky old bar area, where old men where already drinking and the bartender, with baggy, blood shoot eyes stares lazily at Col, as he walks towards the bar. Taking a look around, col asks the bartender "Whats with the oldies drinking at this time?" The bartender grunts and turns away, "What a delightful charmer he is..." Col mutters under his breath. "Any chance for a room then?" He asks, and the bartender throws him the keys and points to the creaky old stairs that seemed to go on for a long time. And so he starts his way up the stairs. Reaching the top, before getting pushed back down again by a brute man. Col crashes into a table at the bottom and the room just burst out in to laughter. |

Belladonna. A city unlike any other. Alright so it was like a lot of other cities to Luna. People wearing strange clothes, strange beings, people from the near by guild, and untold adventures just waiting to happen. Just another day of wondering around after doing guild work herself. This was one of the very few major cities that she had actually been to and was happy to get on a train and start her day of relaxation here. Or at least she was hoping so before she had gotten here. The train was late, there was no more bread on the train, and she was forced to spend the night in an old inn with a bar at the bottom. Not that there was anything wrong with it but it just ticked her off. The bartender/innkeeper just grunted and threw her keys to a door upstairs. Even the bed smelled like beer. Her start to a nice relaxing day was completely shot before she even started it. Again her day was not starting out so well. Luna wasn't a morning person. In fact she loved to sleep in until about say ten or even as late as noon. Today however she just randomly woke up and started glaring at the wall. This was never a good sign. Try as she might there was no way for her to actually get back to sleep. So with a heavy sigh the fire mage got up, got ready for the day and walked out of her room. It was at that moment she watched as someone was trying to get up the stairs get pushed down by a brute of a man. Luna's right eye started to twitch as she stormed over to this man who was twice her size. "Hey what's the big idea pushing someone down like that?!" she yelled throwing her hands up in the air. The man turned around and glanced at her yet didn't speak. It was like he was giving her this death glare and trying to warn her not to talk anymore. However being Luna she completely missed the sign and continued to rage. "I mean how would you like it if I just came up and pushed you down a flight of stairs as if it was something very common!" Pushing past this man who seemed ready to throw her down the stairs next the blonde with the fake cat ears walked to the guy who was knocked down and laughing about it. Was he crazy? No there were a of other crazy people out there. Like the people who let Lna and Dran into QC...but that was a different sotry all together. Squating down next to this guy Luna started to whisper. "Hey I bet if you want to get even we could just tag team this guy. He's big and al but I bet he isn't too bright. Couldn't even say sorry!" |

Belladonna. It was a major city, he knew and had interest to come here on occasion. Not only was it the location to the renown guild Lamia Scale, but it was nearby lacrima mines. As a result the city was the leading research of lacrima magic and its uses. Zachary had always taken an interest in the studies of those magic crystals. He even fancied to get some special pendants or items to magnify his magic. It was a shame he didn't have enough jewels to afford the larger ones. The young man of sixteen, in his white jakcet and blue pants as he rode into town. He had camped on the outskirts of town, haven walked all the way there. He now rode on the back of a cart drawn by murple pigs, under the kind grace of the driver to help him get to town. Stretching his arms, he greeted the morning sky warmly, feeling the rays warm his body from the cold night. He was searching for more information on magic, to help him grow as a wizard. Though he possessd the talent for magic, talent alone would not help him on his future. Arriving at the entrance of Beladonna, he thanked the driver for the ride and he rode off into town. Left by himself, he began to search the city for anything worthwhile. The magic library here, maybe visit the labs where the Lacrima were studied for a tour... Suddenly a loud crash sounded from nearby. Shouts came from the tavern on the side of the street. Curious, Zach turned to the tavern as he heard another crash, some of the patrons running out from the scuffel. Unable to ignore trouble brewing, Zachary gave a sigh as he headed towards the swinging doors to the bar. As he peeked inside, he witnessed a man with a rifel by his side on the ground and a girl with strange cat ears tending to him . On top of some stairs stood a strong man, shadowed by the dim light of the tavern. His eyes glowed with malice, the kind of a punk who wanted a fight. Zachary grew a stern glare to the man, even though he was not noticed as of yet. His fist clenched, unable to tolerate bullies, no matter their age. |

Nathan wasn't a huge fan of Belladonna. He had been here more than once in his life, hell he had been here multiple times if he was honest, and each and every time he had left with the feeling that the entire place was... bland. Sure, it was acclaimed far and wide for being so very magnificent when it came to it's rich minerals and the fact that it was so heavily focused on lachryma research, but the general feeling of the city itself, the slums and the dives, the ghettos and townsends, were so... bland. Even Crocus had had a thriving underbelly and Crocus was the goddamn law capital of the land, and what did it say about Belladonna when everyone was so boring? After all, the only way to really derive the worth of a city -in the same way to derive anythings worth- was by how the lowest parts functioned, and since the lowest here in Belladonna were uninterested and generally without care, that made the city as a whole unappealing to Nathan. He knew he stood out in the places he went, the back-alley bars and taverns and the dingy dives with whores in one corner and pimps in the other watching over their property. His clothing was neat and uniformly clean, there was not a part out of order and every time he spent longer than half an hour in any place a fight was always picked with him. Few ever picked a fight twice though, there was something about Nathan that told you to back off once a fight had ended. Maybe it was the fact he got unspeakably violent unspeakably fast, going from calm words to an elbow in the throat in the blink of an eye. Maybe it was the fact he fought for real, treating every encounter, even a bar fight, as though it was a warzone and he used his weapons every single time. Or maybe it was the fact he used his magic more often than not, he transformed his body into a vessel for spirits to fight through. Nobody ever picked a fight after that happened. Still, he was enjoying tonight so far, for once he had spent an hour in a single place without his shining white clothing and his large white spiky hair being attacked verbally by some bum. Maybe it was because everyone here was so disinterested, they were almost all old and over the age of 50 -he guessed- and so as he sat at one of the tables, nursing a whiskey he had yet to actually start drinking, he wondered why he felt so excited. There was a... murmur, he felt to call it, a murmur that was running through the air and charging everything around him. Something big was coming, a feeling confirmed by the whisperings in his ear from the spirits that lived within his body. "Let me loossse," Zalera hissed, "Death issss coming." "Allow me to be free," Famfrit breathed, "The storm is gathering, my friend." "Let... loose..." Cúchulainn groaned, "End... Life..." He ignored them all, he was waiting to see what happened with his own eyes, not theirs. He didn't have to wait long. A man had attempted to enter the upper area of this establishment when the commotion began, commotion caused by the man being hurled bodily down the stairs in some manner that Nathan missed and slamming into the ground below, hard. Immediately a girl rose up, stood to her feet and stormed over to the one who had pushed the other down, her voice figuratively snarling in anger as she confronted the man. Silly woman, that wasn't how you did things like that, not in places like this. Most of the other patrons turned back to their drinks and their silent contemplations, but Nathan watched as the girl turned back to the injured man and offered him comfort. The bar doors opened a moment later and another man poked his head in just as Nathan laughed to himself and stood up, holding his drink idly in one hand, the other in his pocket. "I suggest if there's an issue," he addressed the man at the top of the stairs in an idle and amused tone, "That you take it outside." |

Colonello, still in the wreckage of the broken table, sighs in pain as he tries to sit up and crack his neck. His vision is a little blurry as he can see the out line of a muscular man on top of the stairs and a what looks like a young woman next to him. Then the sounds of faint muffled laughter are in his ears, so he closes his eyes and he shakes his head, adjusting back to his surroundings. The blonde seemed to have angered the big brute, he didn't know what she said, but the look on the guys face looked full of displeasure. "Sweet beggar of money, that was quite a shove", Colonello mutters to himself. The blond squats down to his ear and whispers, "Hey I bet if you want to get even we could just tag team this guy. He's big and all but I bet he isn't too bright. Couldn't even say sorry!" Col smirked, followed by a menacing chuckle, "I'll take you on for that." He replies. By now the place went silent, as if this was an average, everyday activity in this place. "I suggest if there's an issue, that you take it outside." The brute turns to the guy who said this, "You looking for a fight, Punkling?" Upon hearing the word Punkling, Col cracks up laughing and the gaze of the guy shoots back at Col. Punkling? The hell is a Punkling? Don't you mean Punk or Runt? Hell, even Pumpkin would have been better. But Punkling? The guy jumps down form the stairs in a rage, landing with a thud on the ground, putting a crack the wooden floorboards. He then bends down and picks up Col, "What did you just say?" He asked in his Intimidating voice. The guys voice hard and rough, with a little bit deep groaning. "You heard what I said, Pumpkin." The guy raises his fist and goes to punch Col, until the bartender cut in. "That kid over there is right Bruno..." He points to the white haired teen who spoke out earlier, "... Take the fight outside, I'm still paying off the damage you caused last time." "Fine, I will" Bruno says, dragging Col to the door. Col looks at the Young Blonde, and shouts, "If you gonna help me, now would be a good time." Before exiting the establishment. Being carried through the door and thrown at a light pole hurt Col quite a bit, that throw had made a small dent in the steel pole it's self. Colonello moans in pain and yet still has a grin on his face. "That's a nice swing you got there, whats it like on the golf coarse?" Bruno's face goes red and he charges Col, right before he reaches him, Col roll's out the way and the guys head plows into the steel pole, which dented it more but dealt abit of damage to him. "Doesn't feel good now, does it? But it looks like your hard headed." Bruno removes his head from the pole, all it left was a small mark. "STOP... MOCKING... ME!!" Bruno yell's, looks like he wa at his limit of anger. |

Luna smiled and glanced back up at the idiot who was the one starting the trouble. Just as she was about to say something another guy who happened be drinking spoke up saying something about going outside and finishing this. This had taken un's attention from the idiot upstairs for a moment. Did this guy not want a fight to happen or was he just annoyed that something was going on? The brute from upstairs then had to say it: Punkling. Who says punkling?! Is that even a word? Well if it was or not Luna and the guy she was next to thought it was a very funny thing and caused the idiot from upstairs to jump down before them. The shake from crash sent Luna onto her butt slightly amazed that he even went as far as spliting the boards. Was he that heavy or was he just trying to sho off his power? "That kid over there is right Bruno... Take the fight outside, I'm still paying off the damage you caused last time." the bartender said pulling Luna's attention to that direction. Well that answers my question... she thought t herself as the blonde got up dusting herself off. This Burno fellow grabbed her new partner-in-kicking-idot's-asses and dragged him outside. What they were actually going to fight?! Alright this guy ws asking for it. Luna had little sleep and she was cranky. Like she was going to just sit here and let someone go around and start smacking on someone else! Storming outside she had no choice but to watch as Colonello was tossed into a pole only slightly denting it. Alright so the guy had everything undercontrol. But what fun was that! As she watched as Bruno rushed forward and crashed into the same exact pole where her new friend had started throwing out insults. "OH DON'T FORGET THAT HE CAN'T AIM EITHER!" she yelled out now wanting to be part of this little fight like she asid earlier. Though this only just made Bruno lose it. His eyes turned red and she swore that he had grown bull horns as he looked at her. Luna stuck out her tongue mocking him. How much did she need to do before she pushed him to charge at her? All she had to do was wait for him to get close to her and throw up er Scarlet Wall and halve him fall flat on his face and have the other guy attack. "I bet you can't even hit th broadside of the barn that's two feet in front of you." That was it. Bruno yelled and charged at her this time ready to punch her. Luna on the other hand waited and stood her ground. The brute was about two feet in front of her and that was when she threw up her scarlet wall, causing little Bruno to crash into it. Zachary watched in relative silence. The brute of a man that was picking a fight with the two patrons, but he was relieved to see they could hold their own. To his surprise, the brute jumped from the stairs and landed with a thud, causing the wooden floor below him to crack at the sheer size of his might. The man nearby with the white hair, following his advice and that of the bartender, the larger man grabbed Col and dragged him to the end of the bar where Zachary stood. Startled, he didn't move in time as the large thug and the man simply shoved him aside. He fell flat on his butt, as he tossed the other man outside like a sack. When Zachary finally got to his feet, followed after the blond haired girl to see what was happening. The pole had been bent and the thug was charging at Col. In a funny display however, the man rolled to the side and caused the thug to slam head first into the already bent pole, causing it to wobble even more. He tried hard to not laugh, but it was that funny. The cat-eared girl too joined the fight. In a display of grace and cheerful confidence, she began to cast a spell as the man attempted to tackle her. A blaze of ruby flame erupted before her in the form of a wall. The power of the spell was considerable as it dazzled in the sunglight. The man charged right into it, smaching into the magic wall. A loud crack could be heard from the man, as if he fractured his skull. Zachary looked in wonder at her power. She is a wizard too! he thought as he saw her magic in action. He laughed at the display as the brute went tumbling. However, the moment he laughed, the man's eyes glowed red in anger like a bull in rage. "Uh oh... Zachary said softly, realizing he just tormented the man. "You think that is funny?! Snot-nosed brat! " he roared, now in a fit to attack Zachary as his new vent of frustration. He stopped laughting as the man charged his way. The other two looked in his direction, realizing the 16 year old kid was at risk of being stomped flat. The man's roar echoed as each step cast dust into the air. The teenager's expression became calm as he kept his eyes on his enemy. A light breeze swept past him , casting the dust of the road up and blew his white jacket in the wind. As the thug was a couple meters away, Zachary moved his feet to a fighting stance and dragged his foot in a hard kick, sweeping up the dust on the ground towards his attacker. The dust flew squarely at his attacker's face, causing his eyes to squint from the feint. So close to impact, Zachary then side stepped away to his right, leaving the attacker to.... WHAM!! Having been running at full speed, the man had struck the stone wall of the tavern head on. The stone even made a crack as he struck it like a charging rhino. Blinded by the dust in his face, he slowly cracked open an eye to look at the kid. " Why you little spit-fu--" he was silenced to see the same kid standing directly in front of him. His hand was extended, palm open in front of his face. "Astral Magic," he proclaimed casually. At his command, a magic circle appeared from his palm in the form of a golden yellow pentagram star, the intricate symbols representing the kind of magic known as Heavenly Body Magic. "Shooting Star!!" A brilliant bright beam of yellow light shot out from his hand and struck the man in the face at point blank range. The force of the spell was similar to a solid punch in the face. Struck so close, the thug was sent flying backwards as the beam pushed him a couple meters away. He let out groan of pain as he hit the dirt, tumbling from the impact. Zachary sighed as he withdrew his hand. "I know this fight doesn't involve me," he admitted aloud to those who were around. "But I can't tolerate bullies, even if they are adults." Grinning as soon as he was adressed by the man with the evident chip on his shoulder above them, Nathan's smile turned into the shadow of a grimace at being called a 'kid' by the bartender, but he still watched with a smile as the conflict was indeed taken outside. There was no doubt in Nathan's mind that the bartender hadn't wanted his establishment ruined after all, so suggesting to move it outside made it public knowledge, made it available to be intercepted by the Town Guard, any passing Fioran Knights or -unlikely but possibly- members from the local Guild of Lamia Scale. Of course the chances of those people being in this quarter of the city at this time of day were very low indeed, but it was always a probability, and since Nathan enjoyed the idea that everything was probable it definitely worked for him. Smiling insolently as the brutish thug quite literally dragged the other one to the door and as the one who had been pushed yelled out to the girl that now would be a good time to help him, Nathan bent down and picked up his drink. Draining the double-shot in a single gulp and smacking his lips at the taste, he walked over to the bar in the wake of the young woman -who was evidently quite angry- and raised his finger for a new one. Taking the glass with him he walked over to the doorway and stepped outside, leaning against the doorframe as it closed behind him to watch the events as they transpired out here. He had no idea why he was here to be honest, he had no idea why he had followed events to this location but it seemed like the best thing to do for tonight, since he had no other plans and nothing even tying him down here in Belladonna maybe he could find someone interesting in one of these people. The brute was... well, he was being lead by the nose from what Nathan could see, and as his eyes took in the fight around him he realised this was all just for show, the fact was that any and all of them could have probably finished off the man in a few moments if they actually took the time to care. The first man, the one who had been pushed, simply side-stepped the brute's bullrush, a technique that was about as common as a goddamn punch, and then the woman did something similar but instead of side-stepping she instead summoned an actual wall in front of her. So it was essentially the same move, avoiding damage yourself by making him run into a wall, but it was done quite... interestingly. The fact she was a mage was hardly surprising, someone who looked like her would not have been in a place like that if they didn't have some means to protect themselves, and that was the most likely means. And then the other one, the one who had been watching from the doorway, used an ability of his own, a very easily followed ability that had some ridiculously long start-up time that ended up with the man dazed and a little bit injured some way away. "Well isn't this funny," Nathan said into the silence following the young man's ability from the doorway, idly holding his drink in one hand and having drawn a very long and slightly oddly shaped knife called a khukuri with the other, "Would you like me to finish him off for you guys? I'm fine with it either way and I doubt the world would be a worse place without him. Or are you just planning on leaving him here after you beat him around the head a few more times? I don't think he can get any more stupid, he was pretty daft to begin with after all..." Was he really offering what it sounded like he was offering? Yes, he was quite easily prepared to kill this random man if they wanted him to. |

Tossing around the big brute seemed fun, after all, after being flung around a few times, it felt only right. Also, having the young blonde join in as well, with her unusual magic and now the brown haired boy wonder, it was about to get a little bit more funner. Then, standing at the door, was the white haired teen, with drink in hand and knife in the other. "Well isn't this funny, would you like me to finish him off for you guys? I'm fine with it either way and I doubt the world would be a worse place without him. Or are you just planning on leaving him here after you beat him around the head a few more times? I don't think he can get any more stupid, he was pretty daft to begin with after all..." The mans offer to take down Brunos life seemed little out of place, there was no reason to take the brutes life, this was only to beat the sense into him, by using his own force against him, since physical damage was useless. "I think got this thank you, there's no point in taking a mans life, when they forced them selves into it i the first place. Isn't that right pumpkin?" He chuckles lightly. "Now roll pumpkin, give me everything you have." With rage in his eyes and his muscle flexing, Bruno hit's maximum rage and charges at Col. Colonello reaches for his rifle on his back, to find that all he could grab was air, it seems that he let it in the bar, after that hit. "Damn, it better not be damaged." He whispers to him self. All he can now do is dodge, and to do it at the right time. Waiting for Bruno to get closer, he dives to the side and the brute hit's a wall, now looking like he was getting a bit of fatigue in his body. Dazed for for a second, Col jumps on to his back, wrapping his legs tightly around the waist and holding Bruno's arms behind his back. "YEEE HAAWW!! GIDDY UP PUMPKIN!!" He yells and Bruno starts to buck around, trying to shake him off. Then Suddenly, he backs up yo the wall. "Damn, you have brains I see. Ok need help now, I'm stuck between a rock and a place! So if there's anything you can do now is the time! And this implies NOT killing him!" Hoping that the white Haired teen would listen. Edited by Soka Grimore, Jun 24 2012, 11:21 PM.

Luna head the slightly break in her Scarlet Wall, or was it in Bruno? Well whatever had happened the beautiful wall that she had created had disapated into flickers of flames before completely vanicing from the world. Yet she heard the words from another person getting the attention from the idiot. It wasn't much either. All he had to do was laugh ad Bruno was enraged, running after the guy, and once again ran into a wall. At this point Luna wasn't sure what to do. Did she help this guy and deal with the rage of Bruno or dd sejust stand there and kind of just stare and watch. Her answer was given when he sent that guy flying after yelling Shooting Star. Which made this brown haired fellow a mage as well. As Bruno the Brute went flying and hit the ground with a groan escaping from him. Wow they were really doing a number on this guy. Okay he was really doing a number on himself when they just side stepped. If he wasn't an idiot earlier now he was going to be. All this brain damage was at least going to send him some years back...or if he went to school some grade levels. Her attention went to the white haired boy as he talked. hat he was implying was just....dark. Luna's honey brown eyes glared at this uncaring fellow. Has he drank his drink Luna just stood there, unsure of what to do. He didn't seem that strong then again Luna herself didn't look that strong either. Maybe he was hiding some untold power in that neutral exprssion of his. Shaking herhead and turning backto the fight again what she found happening next was rather stupid for the person who actually started the fight. Here he was, jumping onto Bruno's back and holding his arms in a way where he couldn't get Col off of his back. This was where Luna had stopped trying. Col was now being rammed into walls, which was the smart thing to do in the first place, and asking for help. There were levelsof stupidity, and this guy had just dropped to one. "I think....I'm just gonna let you guys handle this now..." Luna said in a monotone. Edited by Luna Kage, Jun 25 2012, 05:53 AM.
