Fairy Tail RPG Current News

Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules.

That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. In the words of the immortal douchebag rival, "Smell ya later." Keep on RPing everyone! Kill some Boscans!

Yovel went down the tunnel with the other warriors and Druid to what ever they could find. It would be difficult to determine what they might find, but hopefully they were able to destroy the facilities in the Type Lair. Luckily there were no paths that split off from where they were going and instead there was always a rumbling. That generally meant that there was a large force moving, but they could not pinpoint as no matter how far they ran, the rumbling did not change. As they moved further, some movements occurred up ahead and something changed quickly. The ground opened from underneath them and they started to fall. The warriors attempted to grab onto something, but there was nothing to grip onto other than a smooth wall. Yovel was left wide eyes as the floor fell from beneath him. The sudden lurch in his stomach made Yovel feel light headed as he was now looking at the ceiling.

Yovel reached his hands up to the air attempting to grasp something. His body was falling down into something pitch black. Everything seemed to move much slower for Yovel, but his body was going down and was swallowed up by the darkness. In Yovel's mind, the light receeded as the walls loomed over and the light to his salvation moved further out of his reach. The next thing Yovel heard a loud crack and something squishing as his mind blanked out.

Clear's group went down the tunnel following Pako's lead. The tunnel kept going in a straight line, sometimes doing a small turn to either the left or right, but the path didn't split off anywhere. The ten men kept moving forward in the darkness with relative silence around them. Any sound that came from the other group had died out, indicating that the two tunnels led to completely different directions. Clear wondered wether they both led to the queen's nest in the end or one group would have to backtrack and follow the other path. That would be a really bad situation and would cost them a lot of time. Hopefully, that weren't the case. Nothing strange seemed to happen in Clear's path and it was quiet, strangely quiet. Surely the Types would have some kind of defense prepared? There was a trap before the two groups split up so there was bound to be something else along the way. So far though, nothing had happened.

The men walked for what felt like hours, when in truth only minutes had passed by. Their surroundings didn't make it easy for them to tell the passing of time well and the monotonous task of walking forward was tiring to the brain. Finally, they arrived at an entrance. There was light coming out from that direction so Pako sent a man to check it out. He moved slowly and carefully, in case there were enemies at the other side of the opening, and took a look inside. What he was before him were eggs. Hundreds and hundreds of them. This was without a doubt the hatchery were the cereberates made their home. Surrounding the eggs were numerous Types of many kinds guarding them from any harm that might befall them. There were also many Types protecting the cereberates, double-digit ones among them. The scout went back to the group and informed Pako of his findings. The druid fell silent and started formulating a plan.

Yovel awoke in a pitch black area. He had no idea what was going on, but he knew that he was in trouble. He could feel that he broke his foot, but since it was pitch black, it was pretty dangerous for him at the moment. Yovel decided to summon his Eldur Glyphs. Five glyphs appeared and it lighted up the area. Yovel had to shield his eyes from the quick changes in light. As they adjusted, Yovel's vision cleared and he was able to tell what was going on around him. Yovel's eyes widened to what he saw and he threw up in the process.

He was at the bottom of a pit and layed around him were the bodies of his team members. He noticed that he was on top of the dead and twisted body of a warrior. Yovel attempted to scramble, but winced in pain as his foot ached. Yovel decided to send the glyphs outwards to expand his field of vision and to remove the fog of war. The glyps showed the broken, twisted and lifeless bodies of his former comrades strewn across the ground. Yovel seemed to be the only lucky one to have survived. Tears welled up in Yovel's eyes as he attempted to fight back the despair. The floor from above them had closed up and Yovel probably would die of oxygen starvation.

Slamming his fist down on the ground and bodies. Yovel did not want to die like this. He pulled out his Healing Salves and started to treat himself. He wouldn't be in any state to support his own foot, but for the time being he didn't need his feet. Yovel grabbed the handle of a broken weapon shaft and tied it to his foot to support it and keep it in place. Yovel gritted his teeth as the pain coursed through his body and he begged for the healing salves to work and rid him of the pain. Yovel groaned out as he finally finished his treatment and breathed heavily. He was sweating, from the heat and lack of ventilation as well as the stress of the current situation. Yovel sent his glyphs up as high as he could and it revealed to him the height of the pitfall when they could go no further. Catching his breathe, Yovel pulled out his blades and dragged his body to a wall.

Pako took a couple of minutes to organize his thoughts then turned to the rest of the group. "The hatchery is what lies beyond this entrance. We have the duty to destroy all of the eggs as well as kill all of the cereberates. Allowing even one to survive is not an option. Should one of them escape, killing the queen will be pointless as she could take her place. Now, we will go in there and kill everything without hesitation. The guards are your last priority, deal with them only if they get in your way." Clear was reminded of the way he dealt with the nest before, and this plan was pretty much the same. Nodding at Pako's words he followed the rest inside. The sudden flash of light blinded him for a moment and it took a bit for him to adjust his eyesight. When he finally opened his eyes, he could see a wide space with a really high ceiling. The hatchery was a huge place meant to accomodate a large number of Types.

The room felt more like a cave than Clear expected. It had a spherical ceiling which then led to the wallks going straight down. It was high, maybe even ten meters, and the area was very wide, enough for a hundred men to easily lie down with more to spare. The ground was filled with eggs ready to hatch. Clear could tell by the way they throbbed and pulsed, these were different from the ones he met in the nest the previous time. There were five cereberates in the center of the room surrounded by various Types. A handful of Type 500s were carrying the newly layed eggs to the edges of the room as they couldn't all fit close to the cereberates. The guards were nothing much, about ten Type 400s, a lot of Type 500s which Clear couldn't count at a single glance. But then, Clear shuddered at the sudden notice of the red Types. There were three of them, identical to the first one Clear encountered in the forest. Those were without a doubt Type 77s.

Yovel started to pull himself up the wall. Impaling the bio-organic wall, Yovel endeavoured to reach the top. His glyphs had run their course and vanished. Yovel's foot could not support himself, but that didn't matter. He had two blades to pull his body up. Yovel dragged himself slowly with each strike. The problem was that it was pitch-black and he would have no clue when he would reach the top. His glyphs bounced along the ceiling some odd six metres up so that meant that would be the depth of the pit.

Yovel eventually reached the top, but he was raggard and tired. He didn't have the strength to slash an opening in the ceiling so instead he pulled out his magic. Five Vindur glyphs appeared and they started to shred the celing apart. Chunks of the structure came flopping down and splattered everywhere. Bits and pieces would fall on Yovel's face, but he didn't mind as he had other pressing matters. The glyphs were sent to continuously slam into the ceiling to deal damage and hopefully break a hole.

Yovel could hear some cracking noises and eventually a chunk of the celing feel down revealing light. Fresh air ventilated through the hole and Yovel continued his attack. The glyphs started to widen the hole, bashing into it and destroying more of the foundation. The hole was starting to get bigger until Yovel felt he could climb out. He then continued to impale the wall with his blades until his head reached the top. Tired and fatigued at this point, Yovel struggled to lift his body out of the hole. He managed to get both arms above the hole and next his upper body. half way there, Yovel clambered forwards slowly sliding his body out of the holel.

The group came to an abrupt halt at the notice of the Type 77s. They were far stronger than the rest of the Types in the room and dealing with them would be no easy task. Clear remembered how Yovel was almost killed by one of them before so he knew the extent of their strength. Pako was the only one that could possibly kill them but three of them would be a bit much even for him. Pako faced the other four men in his group and with a slight nod, they all knew what was next. "The five of us will take care of the three Type 77s. The rest of you deal with the weaker Types and try to dispose of the cereberates." and without waiting for a reaction, his group dived in the Types. The four huntsmen were the most experienced of the tribe so they would be okay even against such opponents. Two of them were wielding bows, the other two were close range fighters, one wielded a sword the other an axe. Pako and the archers each hit one Type 77 from afar to draw their attention. The Types immediately started running towards them, reaching them in a matter of seconds.

Clear and the axe wielder in his group charged forward while the three archers stayed back to provide covering fire. First they had to take care of the Type 500s. They were obnoxious with their numbers and the most easy to deal with. The Type 400s didn't provide much of a threat, their attacks would be easy to avoid in this open space. Clear also realized why the abscence of Type 300s was. With their indiscriminate area attacks they could easily harm the eggs as well as the intruders. Focusing on the Types in front of him rather than think about what wasn't there and why, Clear shot a Water Jet at one of the Type 500s. The shock was enough to send it back a couple of meters but the damage wasn't serious enough. However, his aim was to just provoke the 500s by revealing a mage in their ranks. No matter how weak they were this should be a fact they could aknowledge, and sure enough, all of them headed straight for them with the 400s following closely behind them.

Yovel dragged his body out of the pit fall trap and he laid strewn across the ground. Breathing heavily, Yovel needed time to recover. The stench of the fallen lingered around him, but he needed to press on. His foot has nearly recovered, but he would have a limp till he had better treatment. Yovel started to move forwards, dragging his foot behind him. The blades were placed back into their sheaths as Yovel clambered against the wall. He was supporting himself as he moved forwards towards the hatchery. The rumbling of feet still concerned Yovel as he moved on forwards.

Gritting his teeth, Yovel continued to move fowards when the tunnel split into three directions. Each and everyone of of these could be hatchery or could be something else. There would be more traps laying around in these forsaken parts which could instantly kill Yovel. As Yovel moved forwards, the path went down further into the ground. There was still lights thankfully, but it was strange that the Types lived underground still needed to have light to see. Maybe because they were designed to fight above ground and needed to adapt to the surface to be an effective strike force.

As Yovel made it down the corridor, he could hear movement. The skittering of feet were closing in and Yovel pushed himself off the wall. Standing in the middle of the corridor, Yovel steadied his feet and prepared his magic for what was going to appear.

The three Type 77s moved close to Pako's group and started their attack with no warning. The huntsmen were prepared for this and the two melee warriors engaged two of the type 77s, one each. One of the archers served as backup for each one of them, making stalling the Types possible. Their job was to keep the two 77s occupied while Pako dealt with the last one. The 77s moved fast, faster than the huntsmen, but whenever they moved close enough to attack, their supporting archers would shoot an arrow at the Type stopping their attack. In turn, the melee warriors would use that opening to try and hit the Type's vitals, but to no avail. Their speed made it easy for them to back out at the last moment and avoid any serious damage. And so, their fight went on with neither side getting any serious wounds and the huntsmen getting what they want, time. Meanwhile, Pako was fighting the last 77 alone, with an advantage on his side. In a one versus one fight the 77 had no chance against the druid. However, if Pako got careless that may easily lead to his defeat, so he was cautious despite being stronger.

On the other side of the room, Clear and his group were fighting a much less frightening foe. The Types 500s even high in numbers posed no real threat. As far as Clear could count there were more than fifty of them, but taking them out was simply a matter of time. They were slow, they were weak and had no special ability to be afraid of. Clear was wondering why the cereberates even bothered giving birth to more of them. It probably had to do with the time it took for them to be born or the cost in energy. Both should be pretty low, otherwise it would be a total waste to still keep them around. Still, they couldn't afford to let any of them disturb Pako while he was fighting because the slightest distraction might cost him his life with such an opponent. Clear pierced the 500s with his spear with relative ease, moving to the next one without wasting time. Next to him, the axe-wielder was chopping their heads off whenever one of them jumped at him. He didn't have a long reach like Clear so he waited for them to come to him. The archers sat back and slowed the 400s by shooting at their feet. This annoyed them more than anything, but it still prevented them from reaching Clear. The 400s would have to wait for later.

Yovel did not need this. Type 500s were approaching him and one of them spotted Yovel as they made up the passage way. Yovel gritted his teeth and he summoned his glyphs. Eldingar. Five lightning glyphs appeared as the Type 500s approached him. They were slow compared to Yovel, but they were numerous. Steadying himself on both feet, his broken foot seemed alright now, but it was wise not to push it. The glyphs were on stand-by as they floated around Yovel. The first few Type 500s made their way to Yovel and were leaping as fast as they could. Yovel decided to have three glyphs on the offensive and two to defend himself. The glyphs flew towards the Type 500s and slammed them in the head. The three glyphs collided with the incoming hostiles and they were subjected to elemental damage.

Their heads blew up from the attacks and their brains scattered across the floor. Though that didn't stop the others as the continued to press on. Yovel motioned his two glyphs to spin around his body to create a small barrier that would collide with anthing attack from the Type 500s. Yovel sent the three glyphs out which continued to slam into the creatures and taking chunks out of their frail and weak bodies. Yovel wasn't at the level where he could focus his glyphs and fight at the same time, so he kept his blades sheathed. Yovel was gradually getting pushed back, but atleast his glyphs were cutting through there numbers and he had a large tunnel behind him. It would just take some time to destroy these creatures in the meanwhile.

Pako's fight with the Type 77 was a tough one. He could defeat the Type if he landed a spell successfully at full power, but the Type was faster than him making it difficult to aim. He formed eight Eldur glyphs and tried shooting them at it, but it kept circling around him avoiding his line of sight. Realizing that he would get nowhere like this, he formed eight Iikami glyphs and used them all at once to strengthen his body. He was now faster than the Type and all of his physical abilities had been improved as well. He shot his eight Eldur glyphs all at once at the Type's leg, and managed to damage it slightly. The Type had managed to avoid the attack at the last minute by falling to its side and so the burst of flames only scraped its leg. Pako wasted no time as he jumped forward and tried smashing its leg with his staff, but the Type managed to get up and move backwards to regain its footing. It then leaped at him and tried to slash his arm, but Pako was prepared for that. He had already formed eight Kuldakast runes and a burst of frost shot out shattering both of the Type's arms at once. The Type fell back but got up shortly after and shrieked angrily at Pako.

The rest of the fight was going to be child's play. However, Pako didn't want to waste any more spells on this Type as there were another two he had to kill by himself. Now that the Type had no real way of attacking him it was safe to get closer to it, and with his strength enhanced by the Iikami glyphs he could shatter the Type's armor with his staff. With its arms gone and its leg slightly damaged, the Type was being more cautious than before and was simply waiting for Pako to make his move. Seeing as the Type was being defensive, Pako decided it was his time to attack and charged at it head-on. He raised his staff and swung it down directly at the Type's head, by it dodged the attack by moving to the right. Pako followed its movements by swinging his staff to the right and hit it straight in its ribcage. The Type let out a moan of pain as it fell to the ground, helpless. Pako quickly approached it and stabbed its heart with his staff. The Type screamed in agony as Pako dug his staff deeper in its chest, until it finally stopped breathing. Pako took out his staff and cut the Type's head off with a knife, just in case it was still alive.
