Hey everyone! It's May and you know what that means? Yeah, me neither. There's not a whole lot in terms of major news right now, except for maybe some clarification on some forms of magic like usual. As for a new event? Right now, we're just having the April Event (Bosco Invasion part 3) taking place, which runs into the middle of May. But, one cool new thing that we're introducing this month is SS-Class items. Now you have something to grind and agonize over! Yay, isn't that just lovely? I think so. You can find more info on that in the Equipment and Item Creation section in the rules. That's it for now, folks! If I get anything new to add to this you can guarantee that I will do so. In the words of the immortal douchebag rival, "Smell ya later." Keep on RPing everyone! Kill some Boscans! ~The FTG Staff~ Fairy Tail RPG |

With the arrival of Aiden came the immediate destruction of the construct and as she watched it crumble to the ground at her feet Ecclair couldn’t help feel her adrenaline drive further. He was here somewhere and he wasn’t getting away that was for sure, not if she had anything to say about it. Before anyone in the group could say anything one another however a new face emerged asking what had to be one of the most ridiculously stupid question she had heard in a long time. Did they know where to find the host? If they knew where to find the man would they have been standing there for even a moment? It seemed that Ecclair was not alone in her sentiments regarding the question as no one else replied to the man, this of course didn’t seem to bother him in the slightest as he offered his services to help track the host. So the man was a mage, very well if he could find the host then so be it. About to speak and inform the man that he should hurry up Ecclair was interrupted by yet another newcomer to the center square. A woman this time came running towards the group with an exclamation of a name unknown to the knight. With the assumption it belonged to one of the mage’s Ecclair cared little as to who she was or who she spoke to, they had a job to be doing damn it. Something in the sky caught the gaze of the pink haired knight and glancing up to get a better look at it Ecclair began to wonder what the world was coming to, of all things to see in the sky she really hadn’t expected to see a half man half wolf boy and when she did a small piece of her sanity curled up and sobbed. It was beginning to seem that all the men and their…..dog’s would be arriving at the constructs last standing ground and while it was nice to have allies and back up the numbers would do little if they could not locate the Host himself. Luckily the ‘boy’ that arrived from the skies seemed to be the perfect replacement for the mage that was lost giving the girl goo goo eyes and so when he offered to find the host for the group Ecclair was glad to see him actually take action although in a rather strange manner to begin with. Was he seriously sniffing the construct? What was next, urinating on it like a fire hydrant? Resigning herself to the fact that it was likely their best chance to find the host Ecclair turned to her fellow knights with a suggestion, “Stick together until we have him in sights, then splitting up is our best bet to overwhelm him.”. A small pause was taken in between the princess’s words and it was without a change in her emotions or tone that she added an extra line, “Don’t try to be heroes”. A few moments after the boy had began his ‘investigating’ his voice ripped through the relatively silent air and it signalled the launch of an assault from those in the center square. First to take off in the direction that the shadows travelled was Ecclair and with her speed she was able to keep them in sight and hopefully her allies would be able to do the same with her figure, it was through this method that the group could navigate their way towards the host quickly and efficiently or at least that was her unspoken plan. After following the shadows for at least a few streets Ecclair paused her movements at the edge of a building, from her angle of approach she had seen the man in the streets and assuming it was the host she had made the choice not to charge head first into what could be a retaliation blast or defence from the shadow attack the mage had made on him. It was there at the corner of the building that Ecclair would wait for her allies with weapon drawn, she knew this enemy had immense magical power and she wasn’t going to be charging in alone. Arriving just in time to aid the destruction of the construct the knight team known as The Dauntless Vanguard charged into the center square with weapons raised. Both members delivered devastating strikes to the construct and within moments it had fallen to be nothing but debris on the ground. Before anyone could find time to speak to one another however several more allies seeking to destroy the construct and it’s host began to flood into the center square one by one, first was a mage asking rather silly questions, the second a woman that seemed so intently focused on the previously mentioned mage that she ignored everyone else’s existence entirely and finally was a rather peculiar mage that entered from the sky. Noctis now stood back with the construct having been crushed by Ecclair and her close partner Aiden. The newest arrival, obviously a mage, wasted no time with introductions and instead cut straight top the chase- finding the Host so that the steadily growing group would be able to put a swift end to him. Ever the boss woman, Ecclair took charge of the assembled group by instructing them in no uncertain terms to stick together both for their own safety and for the fastest possible fulfilment of the goal that had united them in this place- slaying the Host in hopes of bringing an end to this sinister game of his for good. Once this was over and done with, the black haired flying mage launched a series of black shadows that looked a lot like dogs- albeit rather evil looking ones- which Ecclair set off in hot pursuit of. Sheathing his weapon for the time being so as to allow him to run faster in his current attire, Noctis followed the woman’s lead who in turn was following the seeking spell which presumably would lead them to the Hosts location and when they did, God help the Host because nobody else would. |

Now that the construct was destroyed and its magic was no longer affecting everyone around it, all that was left was to take down the host here. Though, Aiden was fairly sure that he would simply up and vanish away should he actually come to full harm. That seemed like the type of thing that he would do. I mean, considering that he had the capability to simply make things appear at will, or teleport others to gladiator arenas, it did not at all seem unreasonable for someone with his capabilities to suddenly vanish should he need to do so. Of course, Aiden didn't intend on letting him get away. Or, at the very least, he didn't intend on doing so without giving him a piece of his mind, or a piece of his steel... or whatever his sword was actually made of. That's the strange thing with magical equipment and weaponry. You never quite know if it is literally constructed out of the materials you think it is. Magic, in general, tends to be quite the confusing subject. Just take a look at the Character Critique section. Fourth wall? What fourth wall? One of the mages, who seemed strangely canine in appearance, had created a shadowy mass of magic which had then seemed to take the form of a pack of black hounds. The dogs had then leapt out and seemed intent on finding or attacking the host. Either one was find by Aiden, frankly. His partner didn't seem at all hesitant or reluctant, as Ecclair had bounded and leapt forward, leading the group of mages and knights onward. The blue-haired knight made sure not to fall behind, though he trailed a little bit behind in case anything seemed like it would attack them from the sides or rear. At the same time, he seemed close enough that he would be able to defend against an attack on the group should he need to. Aiden figured and (correctly) assumed that he was probably the meatiest guy here in this group, so it would be certainly on him to be the meat shield here. Of course, that was simply business as usual. It wasn't anything that he was not already used to. It was not before long that they had come across a man who appeared to be the host. Aiden moved at the front of the group and sheathed his blade while he examined the man and his surroundings. It seemed somewhat unwise to simply go with a head-on, melee attack. After all, they weren't 100 percent sure what he was actually capable of, both offensively and defensively. So, Aiden had instead decided to test the waters and hit him with a ranged attack. Frankly, Aiden's options were relatively limited in that department. So, he had noticed a lamp post beside him and promptly kicked it before tearing it out of the ground. Without hesitation, he reeled back and hurled it towards him. |

Noctis was the first ally to arrive at Ecclair’s side but they weren’t going to make a move until they were either given an opening via the host’s actions or more allies arrived to give that opening, waiting silently with both minds and bodies ready to move at a hairs drop the two stood in the shadows of the buildings corner. Aiden was second to arrive at the pair’s location but he did not wait behind the cover of the corner, stepping out into the open the knight sheathed his weapon and decided to take a far less tactical approach to the entire thing. Ecclair watched as her team mate pulled a lamp post from the ground and hurled it at the host in a sort of make shift attack but despite what most would be thinking and the shock they may have been feeling she wasn’t really that surprised. Being the man’s knight partner meant that she had seen him do many far more crazy and strangely unlikely things before, the muscle of The Dauntless Vanguard was something she was just used to to be frank. The makeshift ranged attack from Aiden provided Ecclair with the opening that she was waiting for and so ready to leap into the fray the agile and fast knight tightened her grip upon her weapon. Charging out from behind the corner of the building Ecclair ran straight on towards the host, using Aiden as a sort of shield for the beginning of her assault the knight behind him until finally literally running up the man’s armoured back and pushing off of his shoulders to become airborne. For most the idea of being airborne was dangerous due to the notion that you had far less dodging power with nothing solid under your feet but not for Ecclair. With the construct down the magical powers of the tattoos on the soles of her feet would be unimpeded and that meant that should the host try and hit her with something mid air she had three dodges/leaps/uses of the platform at her disposal before she had to plant her feet on the ground once more. As she leapt from her partner’s back Ecclair triggered her weapon to it’s firearm form and fired several shots at the host’s upper torso before twisting mid air so that she could successfully land behind the man (she would use the platforms to dodge and to make the distance between the host and Aiden), continuing to fire as she did so if only to give the host something to think about her real assault would begin upon her landing. Once having landed behind the host Ecclair would waste no time in triggering her weapon to it’s firearm form and activating it’s rather shocking second ability (Pun intended), charged with electrical energy the blade would shock the flesh of the host it touched thus rendering him more and more unable to dodge the repeating blows that followed. Unleashing a flurry of rapid and yet still powerful strikes against the host (all of which aimed to be lethal btw) Ecclair wasn’t relenting in her assault until she knew the man was dead, or at least the shell he was in was for that matter. It was... well, amusing to watch for the Host as his Construct was torn apart so completely by the arrival of a single man. The man was... impressive, even the Host had to admit that and while he had considered the woman knight strong this one was clearly in a league of his own. A league of legends, perhaps? Either way the Host raised his hand high to stop any incoming attacks, only to curse and have to deploy his shield early to stop a bunch of rampaging dogs of blackness from tearing him asunder. The shield held, stopping the attacks completely, but faded away at the same moment a lamp-post was quite literally thrown at him. "How uncouth." was all the Host got time to say as the lamp-post slammed into his body, shattering his sternum and ribs -and spine too- in one mighty hit. He died a few moments later but not before the woman rushed in and began to stab at him, the spirit of the Host fleeing and leaving the broken body of a young woman there, who now took the full brunt of the knight-ladies stabbings. So yeah, she mutilated a dead young woman, how uncouth as well. This game was most definitely over. |
