Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. And like so many times before, the clang of steel on stone was heard as Sion swung his blade out of its sheath. It was not a very popular one, the bridge they were standing on, so it was quiet, but it was a large one nonetheless... Large enough for five men to stand next to each other and have space left. Sion was facing such a situation now, and behind him, the same. Crimson red, unnervingly bright eyes, like the color of freshly spilled blood, linked with the eyes of the dark haired man in front of him; his target for today.

"Zeke. You never do make it easy for me." he said, stepping towards the side of the bridge, both for theatrical value and to get away from the center; he didn't like being surrounded in the middle of a bridge, and a little water wouldn't stop him. The dark-haired man grinned. "Yeah... You really owe me after that scar you gave me, back in the bar. Still, remember how that guy squirmed after I stabbed him?" Zeke threw his head back and laughed heartily, and Sion chuckled along as well. But the laugh had no warmth in it. It was a cold sound.

"Yes, it was funny. Tell me, Zeke. Will you squirm the same way after I drive my sword through you?" he asked, the Hollow Blade dropping out from the weapon and into his hand. "Because I'm not going to let you go anywhere. Zeke, old sport, you've officially declared yourself a deserter from Tartaros. That means that I'll be forced to kill you. Sometimes, I'm sad that I have to, but for you... Well, I hope hell has a special little place for you, Zeke."

"Seems like there'll be no discussing with you. Boys, kill him!" Zeke exclaimed, waving for the thugs behind and in front of Sion to move in on one half of Tartaros' Enforcers, the Rogue. "Kill them all? Kill them all." Sion said, an evil smirk playing across his face before he dashed straight into the wedge of armed men running at him. The first raised his blade in a wide, overhead swipe. 'Too easy.' Sion thought, the Hollow Blade swiping forwards, straight through the man's clothes, deep into his flesh until it hit the spine. Sion yanked his sword through, lunging at the second man, the first collapsing to the floor almost straight in two. Only his spine held him together. Oh well, at least he'd die swiftly.

A spray of blood followed him, the Hollow Blade crimson and slimy with blood and entrails. The rest of the Fusion Swords clashed with the man's blade, easily swiping it away. Pitiful fools. Somehow, everyone always underestimated the small, puny-looking albino, and often paid the dearest cost for it. As the man spun around by the sheer power behind the greatsword's blow, Sion brought the blades together again, forming the great Fusion Nidhogg, before impaling the man on the large blade. "I'm coming for you, Zeke!" he roared, violently pulling the blade free again, opening the man from sternum to waist.

"You were always our weakest link, the worthless pawn!" he shouted as he ducked under the third man's sword, who had slashed at him with a rather nasty looking flamberge. Luckily, Sion was notoriously fast, and the slash was easily avoided. He slammed his hand into his chest, not so much aiming to break or incapacitate him, but more to unleash the next point-blank spell. "Di Manes!" he roared, the sound turning more animalistic than human. His insanity was roiling inside him, spiking his bloodlust to the max, reflected in the resulting pulse of magic energy that accompanied the eight white and black spikes now sticking out of the third man's back. The fourth had also been turned into human shishkebab, and one had pierced Zeke's achilles heel. He was roaring in pain, and Sion snapped his fingers, causing the spikes to disappear. A cruel grin spread across his face as he slowly stepped past the two collapsing bodies, over to Zeke, who tried to crawl away weakly.

How strange, it was so very silent behind him. Had there not been 5 more men attacking him?

The Ace of Tartaros

Another day in Coreopsis to many, a worry free day that they would smile and be happy. Touriest would walk the more common parts of the city only caring on how much they spent of the next amusement. The locals of Coreopsis smiled for other reasons thou. They smiled because they knew no matter how many touriest came, no matter how busy things got, the second troubled showed its head they were protected by there patron dark guild: Tartaros. The City had been quite as of late due to the large amount of worth ethic being picked up by the guild the past months. The large amount of requests being filled meant more money being brought into the guild and more control over the city with less rabble wondering about trying to cut in on Tartaros.

Ryo had been after one of this said people trying to cut in for a rather to be honest short time. It turned out the group had been hired recently for a protection job. A Job that should have been known to Tartaros or done by Tartaros not some street trash trying to take away Tartaros power. Ryo had headed in the direction of many eye witness's had said a group of thugs had been walking while guarding some tall dark hair man. After some time of getting lost and the like Ryo would arrive with Sion starting to wreck the bunch. It seemed Sion was on one of his guild tasts today and the man they were guarding some a ex-tartaros member. Meaning he wouldn't be some push over, and was smart to hire some cannon fodder.

Seeing as Sion had taken out a fair amount of these thugs and was starting to cut to the chase Ryo figure he would lend a hand his comrade. As the five men behind him started to make a more on Sion who was barreling thru the men infront of him. Ryo would dash quickly at the center of the five men and draw two masamune's from his sword bag quickly. Spinning as he got to the center he would end the lives of three men with a single swoop of his blades. The two remaining being out of range of his intial attack Ryo would hurl one masamune at the mans gut while thursting his spare into the last man.

Just as Sion would turn around to see what remaning of the five men behind him. Ryo would be pulling his sword from the man he thrusted it into, while the man he hurled the blade at was falling over holding his chest. " Howdy " Ryo would say with a smirk as the man fell with a thump. " Fine shindig ya got going on today Sion " he would say with a smirk as he swung is sword to get some blood off.

Sion strode over to the fallen straggler, stabbing his sword into one of the mercenaries who groaned, still alive, and then reached down to grab Zeke up by the collar. The grin on his face was disturbing, and the cores of his irises were already turning violet as insanity rose inside of him. Zeke whimpered and grabbed his arm as he lifted him back onto his feet, but the runner was pretty much hanging off Sion's arm, since his left foot was all but useless and his right one was wobbly with fear. D-Rank or not, Sion had built up a reputation of being merciless and violent at times. This seemed to be a time like that.

"N-No! No! Please don't kill me, I'll come back to the guild, I'll do whatever you want!" Zeke begged, looking close to weeping or soiling his trousers. Or both. Sion simply shook his head. "Can't do that, Zekey-boy. Don't think you can run and try to kill me, and then just beg for mercy and come back the moment I'm about to kill you." He yanked him closer to his face, the bloodlust and anger radiating from him like a blanket of heated, humid air, a choking, suppressing sensation for Zeke and the dying men around him. There was no doubt Sion meant it when he said he was about to kill him.

A familiar voice behind him prompted him to turn around, violently pulling Zeke along as well, who stumbled down to the ground into a pool of blood, seeping out of one of his colleagues. Whether the other man was dead or dying, Sion didn't know, and neither did he care. "Ryo!" Sion said, suddenly much more friendly than he had been five seconds ago, but when Zeke tried to crawl away, Sion turned and gave him a terribly vicious kick to the ribs, and Ryo would be able to hear a cracking noise coming from Zeke, who suddenly coughed up blood.

"Sorry, Ryo. Give me a moment to finish up. This is my job, after all, pleasant or not." he said, crouching next to Zeke and lifting him by his collar again. "Please! Plea-hea-hease don't kill meeeee... Have mercyyyyy!" the ex-Tartaros member said, now crying full out. "Like you showed mercy to all those people before, Zeke?" Sion asked, his eyes glimmering with anger, two orbs of blood set in a pale face. "I don't think so. You always did go in against guild policies, killing contractors and taking the money instead of doing your job, abusing your status as one of our mages to extort people without the guild's permission, causing fights and even killing your brothers and sisters..." By that, Sion of course meant their, no, his fellow Tartaros members. "You really have lost your way, haven't you. Shame, if you had joined Grimoire Heart or Raven Tail they would probably have let it all slip... But you made the wrong choice. Dark guild or no, we of Tartaros aren't heartless bastards like those others."

He stepped over to the railing of the bridge, dragging the crying and begging Zeke along. Sion lifted him over the railing, holding him by the throat, and looked into his face, drained of color. He sniffed and said: "Bah, soiled yourself, have you? It's a pity, Zeke. A real pity. If you wouldn't have been such an uncongenial arse, you could have been a strong mage. You had potential. But, ashes to ashes..." Black wisps of smoke ran down his arm, arcs of white energy, and his arm and hand seemed to shift and shimmer. Then, with a sound that seemed like a mix between a clap of thunder and the heavy lid of a coffin shutting, Zeke's throat seemed hollowed out, and he fell down into the water with a look of pure surprise and fear on his face, blood running from his throat as he dropped into the running canal.

"And dust to dust. Sorry you had to see that, Ryo, and thanks for the help. Normally it isn't this violent or bloody. Just, Zeke has, or rather, had given me problems in the past. I was waiting for the inevitable moment I'd get to kill him." he said, wiping the blood off his hand.

Ryo would nod his head to Sion as he called out his name " Yo" only to move onto sheathing his blades back into his sword bag calmly seeming not to care about the execution going on not to far away from him of a ex-Tartaros Member. As the mans life ended with a simple parting by Sion, Ryo would stand calmly waiting for Sion to finish up. As Sion did finish up and turn to him cleaning blood off his hand Ryo would shrug to Sion's thanks and comment. " No worries, just happened to be after the guys your boy hired. " Ryo would explain to Sion slowly walking toward him.

" And this doesn't bother me, its all just guild business after all " Ryo would tell him seeming a tad detached for a moment unlike the normal Ryo. There was obviously something on Ryo's mind, he wasn't great at lying or hiding things and this was one of those times it was painfully obvious he had something on his mind. As Ryo got closer he would look at the remains of Zeke the traitor and sigh. " Next time you should bring Tormoru thou, you guys are partners " Ryo would slowly his gaze slowly trailing to Sion Ryo's voice still steady and calm. " And that girl needs to get plenty of killing out of her system every day or we could end up seeing her drunking puking in the mens room or aiming a gun at us for laughs. " Ryo would say with a slightly chuckle, Ryo seeming to have lightened up to his usual self for a moment.

Sion sighed as he followed Ryo's gaze down into the canal, where what remained of the man who once was Zeke floated off into the water, leaving a small red stain in the water which gradually disappeared as he was led away from them. "I... know, I should spend more time with Tormoru. It's just that, I dunno..." His voice trailed off as his eyes did. Ryo wasn't the only one with something on his mind. It was still hard for him to bond with his guild mates, especially as closely as he would need to with Tormoru. He had lost too many people in his life, and he often wondered of getting that close to even one person, Noel, wasn't the worst move he had made in his life... Outside of opening that damn scroll, of course. If he hadn't done that, he would still be sane.

But when Ryo continued, Sion laughed as well. It was a relief, he laughed too little these days. "I actually fell asleep on her couch that night. Next morning she was half naked and I was shirtless. I still don't really know what happened." He laughed again. "She damn near blew my 'nads off when she woke up." he said, now full-out guffawing. "Oh dear, that was one hell of a wake-up. But, you seem to have something on your mind." he continued, walking over to the corpse he had impaled with his sword, and yanked it out, swinging it in a wide arc to get the blood off, and then sheathed it. It would require more cleaning later, the blood got into the mechanisms, but it was still fully functional. He leaned against the railing of the bridge, looking at Ryo with a curious smirk. "What's wrong?"

It was comforting to know Ryo wasn't the only one with someone thing on his mind or the only one in the guild that got awkward around woman who possibly had feelings more then teammates, at least that's what Ryo took Sion's hesitation around Tormoru as. As Sion would explain what Ryo was not privy to as to what had happened after Tormoru's last binge drinking he would chuckle loudly picturing Sion freaking out shirtless as Tormoru shoved a gun down his pants.

However Sion wouldn't dwell on interesting stories for long as he cut to the chase and wold ask Ryo what he had on his mind. Watching as Sion pull his sword free of the dead corpse and attempt to clean of blood in a rather common swordsman fashion Ryo would sigh loudly. Looking at the dead body he had just pulled his blade from Ryo would open his mouth but no words would come out, a moment later his would close his mouth and sigh again his gaze slowly locking onto Sion now. " Thinking about how one day.....that will be Yamha. " He would say his words faint and short as the look in his eyes was filled with regret. " That one day, you and Tormoru will hunt down Yahma, and do your jobs. " He would tell Sion as he slowly closed his eyes and tilted his head back slightly.

Ryo would say a word for a few moment just stand there head tilted back eyes closed however once that time passed he would speak again with a much more unlikely comment. " Could you do it? " Ryo would say as his head lowered and opened his eyes to lock his gaze onto Sion once more. " I mean, I'm not questioning your resolve to do your duty in guild. " Ryo would say quickly to comfort Sion. " Just wondering if y'all could take 'er. She was a Wrecker after all. " Ryo would ask Sion with some purpose it seemed. The Wrecking Crew, Wreckers for short, had been a rising team in Tartaros since before Sion joined Tartaros himself, and as half of the enforcer team of Tartaros surely one had to wonder if a Enforcer could actully bring down one of the rising stars in the guild. Yahma had left, but was with out doubt powerful, she had been a iffy member from the start but was able to keep most fodder in check as well as keep up with a few seasoned members of the guild. Being in one of the strongest front teams of Tartaros to boot surely accounted for her skill and power.

Sion's brow furrowed slightly when Ryo tried to talk, but couldn't. A normal sign of hesitation or emotions preventing someone from talking. After a second, though, he managed to continue, and Sion listened intently, staring off with that slightly furrowed brow. He had heard of Yahma, but never met her in person. A yato, ex-Wrecker, and Tartaros runner, just like Zeke had been. The young crow tried to put himself in Ryo's shoes, or sandals, or whatever for a moment. What if it was Tormoru who had left... and Ryo who would one day go after her. The sheer thought made him shudder.

He looked over at Ryo, and felt like he was suddenly looking at a different man. It was not a look of pity that appeared, even though he did indeed pity him. Ryo's friend or not, Yahma was someone him or Torm HAD to kill one day, or if not them, someone else in the guild. Instead, it was a look of understanding. He sighed and walked over to Ryo, putting a hand on the shoulder of the taller man. "Ryo..." he started, then hesitated for a moment. "I... Can't promise to spare her. You know that. But the least I can say is that I'll try to make it quick... and as painless as I can." he said, stepping back again with a sigh.

Then the question came whether Sion himself thought he could take Yahma. He couldn't help but chuckle. "Ryo, I don't know how long it's been since you saw me fighting..." He looked at the sky for a moment, an expression of thought on his face. "Damn, that was all the way back at my recruitment." he said, rubbing the back of his neck. He had heard the stories about Yahma so he could probably make a correct assumption as to how strong she was, so he grinned as he said: "The fact that she was a Wrecker doesn't change the fact that I could probably take her, even without Tormoru's help. I think I could even whoop Kenji's ass if he let me." and grinned, raising his left hand and clenching it into a fist. "Ryo, there's many people I'd like to fight; the two Sword Saints above me, for instance. I heard that these guys... Relyk and Akira, right? Were supposed to be pretty strong, but I can take them. And then would come the next challenge..." from the fist, his index finger whipped out, pointing at Ryo himself. "You. I have no doubt that you're stronger than me, 'Wildfire'," he said, his use of Ryo's nickname being fully intentional. "But don't think that I would just let you waltz over me if we'd ever end up on different sides of the front. Even the smallest crow could pick a wyvern's eyes out if he wanted to." he finished, a wide grin now on his face, more playful than aggressive, but leaving no doubt that his words had been 100% serious.

After his little monologue, he just laughed and turned around. "I'm sorry, Ryo. Didn't mean to pull that rant at you out of thin air. It's just that..." He paused again. "Ryo, I'm not a humble man. Not prideful, but definitely not humble either. I rose from being the tiniest worm, who could be crushed by every angry elephant who came stampeding through the fields, to a lion who devours elephants like these for a living." He was obviously referring to his work as an enforcer. "And the little pride I have mostly goes out to that. I don't let people walk over me. I think that's one of the reasons I was picked for the role I have now. But, as I hunted these elephants, I saw greater animals, greater creatures who could just as easily crush me as the elephants once could. Demons, giants, wyverns, dragons. By becoming big I realized just how small I really am. So, I am humble because I am prideful."

Ryo would stay silent the whole time Sion spoke, he didn't make a single expression or comment the whole time he spoke down to the last word Sion said. He was comforted that Sion understood some of how Ryo felt, however he was quickly mistaken in his concern and questioning on Sion ending Yahma's life. Ryo did not expect Sion or Tormoru to spare her, nor would ask that, something it seemed Sion thought Ryo was feeling, regret and despair for his fallen comrade. He was quite wrong, Ryo did not care that she would meet a end for turning tail on the guild he just wanted to be sure it would be able to be carried out and done quickly against someone Ryo once considered a friend.

" You are mistaken Crow. " Ryo would say his voice having a cold bite to it. " I would not ask you nor anyone to spare that turncoats life. I only ask if you are capable to end her life, and quickly. " Ryo would explain for a moment before shifting his stance for his right arm to swing back to his sword bag slowly. " You underestimate The Wrecking Crew to much. " Ryo would not just say to Sion but more so TELL Sion as a matter of fact. " Lucia started the Wreckers back when I joined and strive to make it the most elite team in Tartaros, I have kept that notion alive in her stead. " Ryo would explain to Sion, perhaps making The Wrecking Crew's role in Tartaros more clear to Sion now that they could speak freely on the matter and the guild.

" Do not mistake these words as insult or misunderstanding. " Ryo would say raising his left hand like a stop sign. " I know the feeling well to feel like the tiniest worm in a world of elephants. I was considered less then a worm most my life, Lucia and Vile saw, more then that and brought me to Tartaros. " He would tell Sion lowering his head for a moment. " A worm, a crow, it doesn't matter what you see youself as. What matters is getting the job done. " Ryo would say slowly raising his head and his left hand turning from a open palm stop sign to a fist. " Your job is forever to silence any who walk away from the guild. That is all that matters. " Ryo would tell Sion hoping that he would inspire the enforcer of Tartaros to new heights in the guild and in resolve for Ryo was right now the embodiment of the Tartaros beliefs and the like, then again Ryo always sorta did in some way even when goofing around at the guild hall.

" You say you have seen greater animals, demon, giant, wyverns and dragons? Thats simply you realizing you finally are out of your tiny pond, that you have entered the ocean of the world where all the big fish swim. Your goal is not become humbled by them, but take note of them. You take note of each and every one of them so when the sunsets you can sink your blade into the chink in d'er armor. " Ryo would explain to Sion in his last attempt to uplift him beyond his current station to his proper place as the Tartaros enforcer.

Sighing loudly " This bridge surely must be the bridge of rants, for it seems I myself have gotten swept up in a rant of my own " Ryo would tell Sion hanging his head slightly. " And for the record, Yahma was elite, and Relyk is a Dragon Slayer an if ya couldn't even really take Yahma you have no chance of ever aspiring to beat me. Soul couldn't even ever beat me once. " Ryo would explain to Sion that even the proctor of Sion's joining got school by Ryo in every fight they ever had. Little did Sion know that Ryo beat Soul senseless ages ago and that was the only reason Soul had joined, to rise up past Ryo and beat him, however, that never happened and never would. If Sion couldn't beat Soul what chance in hell did the crow have at even reaching the Wyvern's eye to pluck it out if he was already swept away with a flap of its wings? None thats what. In Ryo's eyes Sion could be strong, and surely had some skill but the Elite were Elite for a reason and Sion had yet to face a true Elite he had only been taking out the garbage up till now.

Sion laughed a cold, short laugh when Ryo made it very clear to him that he didn't mean to ask for any mercy for Yahma. Of course, he could have known. Ryo might act all happy-go-lucky in the guild, but when it came down to official business he could be as merciless, or even more, than Sion. But for some reason, Sion felt like Ryo was challenging the one thing he took pride in; his power. If it had been anyone else than Ryo he would have had a sword on his throat after talking about his team. To be honest, Sion didn't think much of so-called 'elites'. There was just something about the word that put him off.

After the laugh he was silent, for he did not take it as insult or misunderstanding. No, he felt challenged, even if Ryo didn't mean to. Well, perhaps challenged was not the right word. 'Patronized' was more like it. He knew he was only seventeen but he was in no way a kid. Life had made it painfully clear that he was going to be struggling for his very existence every moment. Whether Ryo meant to be patronizing or not, he was not going to let anyone look down on that.

After Ryo finished, Sion just grinned again. The red-haired man was most definitely an inspiring figure if he wasn't goofing around. Sion appreciated this fire in him, but there was something bugging him. "Oh, you misunderstood me, Ryo. I was in no way trying to imply that I was just going to sit back and give in to my fate and say 'Okay, I'm weaker than these people. Nothing I can do about it.' No. So many times before have I been told that I was too weak to beat someone, and sometimes I actually believed so myself. But the fact that I stand here in front of you..." He spread his arms wide in a gesture as if to show that he most definitely was there. "Should be more than enough proof that I have managed to beat each and every one of them within an inch of their life. The only reason I do not give into pride and try to remain humble is that I have seen better men fall by thinking they were great. Glory is fun to have, but like all things, it is temporary. No, Ryo. Seeing the big fish doesn't make me afraid."

He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. For a single moment, his magical presence fluctuated and spiked, as if he was having troubles suppressing his own emotions. When he opened his eyes again, the red orbs had a glimmer of emotion in them. What kind was unclear, as he dug deep into his memories and brought every fight he ever had to his mind's eye. "Seeing them makes me..." Suddenly, a great killing intent seemed to radiate off Sion, not towards Ryo but more towards everything around him, to the fading memories in his head, and to the many runners he would have to take out in the future.

"Hungry..."

Then, he threw his head back and laughed again. The dark aura around him had disappeared as suddenly as it had came, and now he seemed apologetic and a bit awkward, more like the teen he was than the man he always acted. "Again I have to apologize for my behaviour. Even after... damn, more than half a year in Tartaros, where I have had so many chances to vent, I can still feel this darkness in me," He put his hand over his heart. "Stirring and screaming to get out at the scent of blood and the glint of steel." A troubled tinge lined the edge of his voice. "Still, I cannot do that. It wouldn't end well. For anyone." he said, making it absolutely sure that Ryo would at least be a bit cautious if that darkness ever came out.

"But you mentioned me, not being able to take on Soul. In that, you are gravely, and I mean very gravely mistaken. Soul has been a goal for me for a long time, I will not deny that. I looked up to him as my elder in both age and Tartaros. But by now, I feel that I could take him, and not even with that much trouble." There was no arrogance in his voice like there was before. This was a completely honest, objective observation, the kind Sion was very good at. "Still, you do not seem convinced. If so, then test me."

His hand moved over his shoulder to the hilt of the massive blade. Slowly it left the sheath, shining in the light of the sun. "Test my resolve. My strength. My ability. See that I am worthy. See that no matter what, I will not kneel, not bow, not break for anyone." He took a fighting stance, holding the blade out towards Ryo. "Come, and see for yourself." His voice left no doubt that he would stand his ground against Ryo as long as would be necessary to prove himself. It was no arrogance, no fear. It was determination.
