INTRODUCTION
Okay as you can see I enjoy board games, computer games and RPG. So this event I will do an experimental type event where I will incorporate a system that should have something similar to those I enjoy. The event itself is a free for all battle war game in a dark arena. Being a dark arena, your field of vision is very limited and you don’t know who and where are your targets. You need to search for them or find their position from their actions. Think of it as a site event war game.
Map of the Arena Do note that there is no edge on this map. This means that anything that goes the edge would simply appear on the other side. In other words if you are in A1 and go left you appear in R1 Well to qualify you need to Sign up and PM me which is all explained in THIS CLICKABLE WORD LINK. There are a few rules in the game such as attacking or getting attack your position will be announced.
Well here are the some basic concepts of the game.
Everyone has 3 points of Health and 4 Range of Vision.
- Health: This is the amount of health you have and whenever you are hit it would be subtracted. If you reached 0 or (-) health, you are considered dead but will respawn in your next move.
- Respawning: When you respawn randomly on the map away from other players. You will have a full 3 health.
- Range of Vision: This is the distance one would see. Normally you can only see that is in front of you so from where you are, there will be four spaces in front you can see along with a cone vision.
Example Range of Vision Places where you can see. ACTIONS
Movement Movement- You can move up to two adjacent spaces. You can move up, down, left or right. You have an option to move a full two space or just one or not moving at all. There are some actions that can be done if you didn’t move or only move once.
You cannot move pass through another character, unless you do a Special Dash. If for some reason you are about to move through another character, you will stop in place but is still counted for moving. This is possible if you decided to move backwards.
If by chance more than one character would land on a space, the first one to gave a reply would get that spot.
- Facing: Before and after moving, you can turn any direction if you want. Normally you will be facing in the direction where you move. This is important for Range of Vision and Defend.
- Special Dash: You can perform a special dash which allows you to move 4 spaces but this would be a blind run so in your next turn you have no range of vision. You must always move 5 spaces, no more no less. You cannot do consecutive Special Dash.
When doing a special dash, be sure to avoid going into the same space as another player. Passing through a space with another character will deal 0.5 point of damage. If by chance you would stop in a space with the same character, you will stop on the last empty spot and would still receive the total damage of your run.
When you do a Special Dash, you always move first. This mean it is a good way to avoid getting hit.
Note: If you managed to do two consecutive actions of either combination of Special Dash, Scan and Defend. You cannot do any of the three actions in your next turn.
Example of Movement Places where you can move.
Defend Defend- You can defend by not performing any attacks this turn. Defend allows you to negate 1 point of damage for every 1 point of defend. There are three types of defend: Full, Medium and Minor.
Once you made a successful defend, you are unable to defend again next turn. A successful defend means you managed to spend a point of defend.
- Full Defend: By not moving at all, you gain 3 points of defend in front, 2 points of defend on the sides and 1 points of defend on the rear.
- Medium Defend: By moving 1 space, you gain 2 points of defend in front and 1 point of defend on the sides.
- Minor Defend: By moving 2 space, you gain 1 point of defend in front.
Note: If you managed to do two consecutive actions of either combination of Special Dash, Scan and Defend. You cannot do any of the three actions in your next turn.
Dodge/Miss Dodge/Miss- Dodging and missing are based on chances. The chance would be determined by Number Chance.
- Number Chance: These are numbers you always put when you do an action and for attacking. You choose a number between 1 to 5 whenever you do normal actions, even if you plan on staying still. When someone intends to attack, they need to put a Chance Number depending on the type of attack. If these two numbers are identical, then the attack misses and a successful dodge is made.
If you don’t put a Number Chance normally, then you will get an auto hit.
Example of hitting and missing Player 1 moves and placed CN 2. Player 2 shoots at Player 2 and placed CN 3 The attack hits Player 1
Player 1 moves and placed CN 2. Player 2 shoots at Player 2 and placed CN 2 The attack misses
Scan Scan- You can perform a scan to know your surroundings. Instead of having Range of Vision in front of you, you have an overview around you but only up to 3 Range of Vision. If you scan, you cannot perform any attack and at most move only 1 space. You cannot defend when scanning but from scanning you can see your opponent’s action and perform Scan Dodge.
You cannot scan on your next turn.
- Scan Dodge: You input 1 Number Chance which is considered as an additional Dodge/Miss chance.
Note: If you managed to do two consecutive actions of either combination of Special Dash, Scan and Defend. You cannot do any of the three actions in your next turn.
Example Scan Places where you can see. Example of Scan Dodge Player 1 uses Scan with NC of 1 and use Scan Dodge CN 2 Player 2 attacks Player 1 with Attack CN2 Player 1 successfully Dodge the attack
Player 1 uses Scan with NC of 1 and use Scan Dodge CN 2 Player 2 attacks Player 1 with Attack CN3 Player 2 got hit
Melee Attack Melee Attack- You can perform a melee attack anytime. When performing a melee attack, you will attack the space in front of you. You cannot face in another direction once you made a melee attack unless you take another move action. Melee attacks causes 2 points of damage.
- Possible Melee combos:
Melee>move>move Move>melee>move Move>move>melee
- You input 1 Number Chance when attacking.
Not putting a Number Chance when attacking would result in an auto miss, unless your target didn’t put a Number Chance then you will hit.
- Melee Clash: There is a chance when a melee combat would strike each other’s weapon blocking the attack. This could happen if the Number Chance when attacking are identical to both sides, this mean that the attack clashed and no damage is dealt on both sides.
Example of Melee Clash Player 1 moves with NC 1 than attacks Player 2 with Melee NC 3 Player 2 moves with NC 2 then attacks Player 1 with Melee NC 3 The attacks Clash and no one got hit
Player 1 moves with NC 1 than attacks Player 2 with Melee NC 3 Player 2 moves with NC 2 then attacks Player 1 with Melee NC 4 Both got hit by the attack
Range Attack Range Attack- A range attack has a range of 3 spaces. When performing a range attack, you will always start in front of you and will always go forward before turning. You cannot face in another direction unless you take another move. Range attack causes 1 point of damage.
- Possible Range Combos:
Shoot>move Move>Shoot
You cannot shoot if you move two spaces.
- If you didn’t move, you input 1 Number Chance when attacking.
- If you move, you input 2 different Number Chance when attacking.
Not putting a Number Chance when attacking would result in an auto miss, unless your target didn’t put a Number Chance then you will hit.
It is usually hard to aim when you are moving.
Example Shooting Places where you can shoot. Example of Range Attack Player 1 moves with NC 1 Player 2 shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 2 Player 2 hits Player 1 Player 1 moves with NC 1 Player 2 shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 1 Player 2 misses Player 1 moves with NC 1 Player 2 moves and shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 2 and 3 Player 2 hits Player 1 Player 1 moves with NC 1 Player 2 moves and shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 2 and 1 Player 2 misses - Possible Scenario
-
Player 1 uses Scan with NC 1 and Scan Dodge NC 2 Player 2 moves and shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 3 and 4 Player 2 hits Player 1
Player 1 uses Scan with NC 1 and Scan Dodge NC 2 Player 2 moves and shoots at Player 1 with Range NC 2 and 4 Player 2 misses
- NOTE
-
You could check the Examples of Actions below. You can just copy it and just change the numbers if you are having a hard time.
WHAT TO DO I will be hosting the event and be the arbiter for the entire fight. To do an action, you must PM me using the template. After 3 or 4 days, I would post the result of that turn until the time limit is up. Time Limit is the end of the month.
- Template to be PMed
-
Next Position: Facing: Action:
Number Chance:
- Template Meaning
-
Next Position: Here is where you intend to go. Just put the coordinate of the tile you are going or just put ‘not moving’ if you intend to stay. Issuing moves that is outside your reach would just move you towards the target tile but would only straight. Facing: Put where you want to face. Up, down, left or right. Action: Choose from Scan, Defend, Melee Attack and Range Attack. If you choose an attack specify the coordinate you are targeting.
Number Chance: Pick a number from 1 to 5. This gives you a chance of avoiding an attack.
Examples of Actions Move Next Position: B2 Facing: down Action: move
Number Chance: 2
Special Dash Next Position: B4 Facing: Right Action: Special Dash, A1,B1,B2,B3,B4
Number Chance: 1
Scan/Scan Dodge Next Position: A1 Facing: Left Action: Scan, 3
Number Chance: 2
Defend Next Position: B2 Facing: Down Action: Defend
Number Chance: 5
Melee Attack Next Position: C1 Facing: Right Action: melee C2, 3
Number Chance: 2
Range Attack(move) Next Position: C1 Facing: Right Action: Range C3, 4 & 2
Number Chance: 3
Range Attack(stationary) Next Position: C1 Facing: Right Action: Range C3, 4
Number Chance: 3
Scoring - Whenever you kill someone you gain a Kill Point.
- You can die through Special Dash, if you do you lose a Kill Point. It is possible to have a (-) Kill Point
- If two or more killed a target at the same time, there will be a hierarchy on who gets the point.
Special Dash death>Range from behind>Range from side>Range from front>Melee from behind>Melee from side>Melee from front
This means that Special Dash death would always have priority followed by Range from behind and Melee from front is the slowest. This mean anyone who shoots you from behind could always get the Kill Point first.
For tie breaker, there is also a hierarchy in case there is a tie between the fight.
More damage done>Didn’t get hit this turn>Highest attack NC(with 1 beating 5)>Highest NC(with 1 beating 5)>Most health>Whoever submitted first
- Note
-
For the start of the event wait for my PM on where you are initially positioned along with where are you facing. I will also indicate what you can see and from then you can choose what action to do. After PMing me your action, wait for 3 to 4 days where I will reply the results and update the map.

New Rules, New Twist
The Dark Arena has turned into a well lit arena since someone finally paid for the electrical bills. What does this mean? Well nothing except that the map is visible along with the possible victims you planned on killing. Also there will be some new things added to this due to the light.
- Range of Vision = there is none since you can see the entire map along with the people there.
- Movement = max movement is now 5, meaning you can move up to five spaces. You can move pass through other opponents as long as you don't stop on them.
- Special Dash = there is no more special dash option.
- Defend = same rules; Full Defend, not moving. Medium Defend, moving only 1 space. Minor Defend, moving only 2 space. Moving more than 2, you cannot defend.
- Scan = rather than putting 1 number for extra dodging, you now put 2 numbers. This mean you have 3 numbers to avoid the attack and can avoid with a 60% chance, that is if you put 2 numbers on the scan and in the Number Chance.
- Melee = now deals 2.5 damage.
- Range = has a range of 5.
So due to the map and location revealed. I will not PM you targets in view. Only the results.
Results of Round 7 will be PMed.

FINALLY FINAL ROUND
For the final round, you are allowed to perform 2 actions. You can melee and range or melee and melee, etc.
You can target up to 2 targets due to this.
You cannot combine Scan and Defend actions or even do double Scan or double Defend.
You still need to put NC for both of the attack actions. The numbers can be the same for both attacks if you want but if one miss the other also misses.
Results of Round 9 will be PMed.
